慢性阻塞性肺疾病(chronic obstructive pulmonary disease,COPD)是一种临床常见的慢性呼吸系统疾病,归属于中医学“肺胀”范畴。金朝晖教授多年致力于中医药治疗呼吸系统疾病,尤擅治疗COPD。金教授认为肺肾两虚在肺胀病机中占据重要地位。金水相生又称肺肾同源,肺肾五行相关、经络相连、同主呼吸运动、共主水液、阴阳互滋,密切相关。以金水相生法为基础治疗慢性阻塞性肺疾病临证获效显著,值得借鉴与参考。

Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is one of the most common cancers with high mortality worldwide. Treatment options for patients with advanced stage HCC remain a great challenge. However, novel agents especially small molecule tyrosine kinase inhibitor and innovative immunotherapy demonstrate new promising therapeutic options for these patients. This review article summarizes systemic treatment options evaluated in HCC focusing on the most recently published data and ongoing studies.

Effective in situ remediation of Cr（VI） in groundwater requires the successful delivery of reactive iron particles to the subsurface. Fe 0 nanoparticles （20–110 nm diameter） supported on silica fume were synthesized by borohydride reduction of an aqueous iron salt in the presence of a support material. The experimental result showed that attachment of Fe 0 nanoparticles on the commercial available sub-micrometer silica fume prevented them from aggregation while maintaining the particle reactivity. When the Fe 0 concentration was 0.4 g/L, 88.00% of 40 mg/L Cr（VI） was removed by silica fume-supported Fe 0 nanoparticles （SF-Fe 0 ） in 120 min, 22.55% higher than unsupported Fe 0 . Furthermore, transport experiments confirmed that almost all unsupported Fe 0 was retained, whereas 51.50% and 38.29% of SF-Fe 0 were eluted from the vertical and horizontal sand column, respectively. Additionally, the effect of solution ionic strength on the transport ability of SF-Fe 0 was evaluated. The result showed that increase in the salt concentration led to a decrease in the mobility and also the divalent ion Ca 2＋ had a greater effect than that of monovalent ion Na ＋ .

An efficient immersed boundary-lattice Boltzmann method(IB-LBM)is proposed for fully resolved simulations of suspended solid particles in viscoelastic flows.Stress LBM based on Giesekus and Oldroyd-B constitutive equation are used to model the viscoelastic stress tensor.A boundary thickening-based direct forcing IB method is adopted to solve the particle-fluid interactions with high accuracy for non-slip boundary conditions.A universal law is proposed to determine the diffusivity constant in a viscoelastic LBM model to balance the numerical accuracy and stability over a wide range of computa-tional parameters.An asynchronous calculation strategy is adopted to further improve the computing efficiency.The method was firstly applicated to the simulation of sedimentation of a single particle and a pair of particles after good validations in cases of the flow past a fixed cylinder and particle migration in a Couette flow against FEM and FVM methods.The determination of the asynchronous calculation strategy and the effect of viscoelastic stress distribution on the settling behaviors of one and two particles are revealed.Subsequently,504 particles settling in a closed cavity was simulated and the phenomenon that the viscoelastic stress stabilizing the Rayleigh-Taylor instabilities was observed.At last,simulations of a dense flow involving 11001 particles,the largest number of particles to date,were performed to investigate the instability behavior induced by elastic effect under hydrodynamic interactions in a viscoelastic fluid.The elasticity-induced ordering of the particle structures and fluid bubble structures in this dense flow is revealed for the first time.These simulations demonstrate the capability and prospects of the present method for aid in understanding the complex behaviors of viscoelastic particle suspensions.

Hypertension is the leading risk factor for death and disability, and hypertensive patients always need long-term oral antihypertensive drugs. Some bioactive peptides that extracted from animals or plants have shown excellent advantages on antihypertension. However, the oral delivery of these peptides is always failure on account of instability and poor absorption in the gastrointestinal tract. Herein, we developed a core-shell lipid-polymeric nanoparticle for oral delivery of a highly efficient antihypertensive peptide KY5(KY5-CSs). KY5-CSs had a particle size of 216.7 ± 2.5 nm, with a narrow PDI of 0.07 ± 0.01.The zeta potential was-4.1 ± 0.1 m V. It exhibited good stability in 4 ℃ and possessed a controlled release behavior in gastrointestinal tract. The cellular uptake study proved that the lipid shell imparted unique capability of permeation across the mucus layer and internalization by Caco-2/HT-29 cells. In addition, KY5-CSs enhanced in situ intestinal absorption in SD rats. The pharmacokinetic studies and antihypertensive efficacy showed a superior oral absorption and antihypertensive effect of KY5-CSs than KY5-NPs. In conclusion, the core-shell lipid-polymeric nanoparticles will provide attractive potential for oral delivery of antihypertensive peptides.

Atherosclerosis is the main cause of ischemic stroke and myocardial infarction diseases.Nanoparticles have shown unique benefits for atherosclerosis treatment by targeting the lesional macrophages of plaques.However,most of the nanocarriers are administered intravenously,which is inconvenient and may cause complications.Herein,we developed an oral lipid-polymer based nanoparticles(FA-LNPs)decorated with folic acid,which can not only effectively overcome intestinal mucosal-epithelial barrier by increasing the transmembrane transport through intestinal epithelial and the accumulation in Peyer’s patches but also actively target to the aortic plaque sites and accumulate in lesional macrophages.Subsequently,naringenin(Nrg),one of the antiinflammation drugs,was designed to be the oral nanomedicine(FA-LNPs/Nrg)for the first time via the encapsulation of FALNPs.FA-LNPs/Nrg presented highly anti-atherosclerotic efficacy.After the atherosclerotic ApoE−/−mice were treated by FALNPs/Nrg via oral administration for three months,the aortic lesion area,plaque area,and necrotic core area of the aortic root were significantly decreased.Meanwhile,the lipid-related blood parameters recovered to normal levels.Our study provides a promising approach to atherosclerosis treatment based on the novel oral targeting delivery system.

Nasopharyngeal carcinoma(NPC)is a serious and highly invasive epithelial malignancy that is closely associated with Epstein‒Barr virus(EBV).Due to the lack of therapeutic vaccines for NPC,we selected EBV latent membrane protein 2(LMP2)as a preferable targeting antigen to develop a lipid-based LMP2-mRNA(mLMP2)vaccine.Full-length mLMP2 expressing LMP2 was first synthesized using an in vitro transcription method and then encapsulated into(2,3-dioleacyl propyl)trimethylammonium chloride(DOTAP)-based cationic liposomes to obtain the mRNA vaccine(LPX-mLMP2).The cell assays showed that the antigenpresenting cells were capable of highly efficient uptake of LPX-mLMP2 and expression of LMP2.LMP2 could subsequently be presented to form the peptide-major histocompatibility complex(pMHC).Furthermore,LPX-mLMP2 could accumulate in the spleen,express antigens,promote the maturation of dendritic cells and stimulate antigen-specific T-cell responses in vivo.It dramatically inhibited the tumor growth of the LMP2-expressing tumor model after three doses of vaccination.Additionally,the proliferation of antigen-specific T cells in the tumor site made a good sign for the promise of mRNA vaccines in virus-induced cancer.Overall,we provided a newly developed antigen-encoding mRNA vaccine with advantages against NPC.We also demonstrated that mRNA vaccines are attractive candidates for cancer immunotherapy.

Visual Perception-Based Fault Diagnosis in Froth Flotation Using Statistical Approaches

Froth flotation is an important mineral concentration technique.Faulty conditions in flotation processes may cause the huge waste of mineral resources and reagents,and consequently,may lead to deterioration in terms of benefits of flotation plants.In this paper,we propose a computer vision-aided fault detection and diagnosis approach for froth flotation.Specifically,a joint Gabor texture feature based on the Copula model is designed to describe froth images;a rejection sampling technique is developed to generate training sets from the quality distribution of real flotation products,and then an isolation forest-based fault detector is learned;and a fault diagnosis model based on spline regression is developed for root cause identification.Simulation experiments conducted on the historical industry data show that the proposed strategy has better performance than the alternative methods.Thereafter,the entire framework has been tested on a lead-zinc flotation plant in China.Experimental results have demonstrated the effectiveness of the proposed method.
