Understanding the habitat shifting pattern is a prerequisite for implementing in situ conservation of migratory *** seals(Phoca largha)inhabiting the Yellow Sea ecoregion(YSE)comprise a small population with independent genes and represent a charismatic flagship species in this ***,this population has declined by 80%since the 1940s,and increased support from the countries around the YSE is urgently needed to address the potential local extinction risk.A time-series niche model and life-history weighted systematic conservation planning were designed on the basis of a satellite beacon tracking survey(2.10–2.2.)of the YSE *** results showed clustering and spreading shifting patterns during the breeding and migratory seasons,*** closed-loop migration route formed in the YSE indicated that this population might be geographically isolated from populations in other breeding areas around the *** conservation priority area(CPA),with an area of 19632.km^(2.(3.58%of the total YSE area),was the most effective response to the potential in situ ***,nearly 80%of the CPA was exposed outside the existing marine protected areas(MPAs).Future establishment of MPAs in China should strategically consider the conservation gap identified herein,and it is recommended for Korea’s closed fishing season to be spatially set in the western Korean Peninsula from May to *** study also exemplified that the lack of temporal information would lead to the dislocation of niche modeling for migratory species represented by spotted *** should be paid to protecting small and migratory populations in marine biodiversity conservation planning.

Federated learning(FL),a cutting-edge distributed machine learning training paradigm,aims to generate a global model by collaborating on the training of client models without revealing local private *** co-occurrence of non-independent and identically distributed(non-IID)and long-tailed distribution in FL is one challenge that substantially degrades aggregate *** this paper,we present a corresponding solution called federated dual-decoupling via model and logit calibration(FedDDC)for non-IID and long-tailed *** model is characterized by three ***,we decouple the global model into the feature extractor and the classifier to fine-tune the components affected by the joint *** the biased feature extractor,we propose a client confidence re-weighting scheme to assist calibration,which assigns optimal weights to each *** the biased classifier,we apply the classifier re-balancing method for ***,we calibrate and integrate the client confidence re-weighted logits with the re-balanced logits to obtain the unbiased ***,we use decoupled knowledge distillation for the first time in the joint problem to enhance the accuracy of the global model by extracting the knowledge of the unbiased *** experiments demonstrate that on non-IID and long-tailed data in FL,our approach outperforms state-of-the-art methods.

Improving the efficiency of metal/reducible metal oxide interfacial sites for hydrogenation reactions of unsaturated groups(e.g.,C=C and C=O)is a promising yet challenging *** our study,we developed a Pd/CeO_(2. catalyst by enhancing the oxygen vacancy(O V)concentration in CeO_(2. through high-temperature *** process led to the formation of an interface structure ideal for supporting the hydrogenation of methyl oleate to methyl *** cally,metal Pd^(0) atoms bonded to the O V in defective CeO_(2. formed Pd^(0)-O v-Ce^(3+)interfacial sites,enabling strong electron transfer from CeO_(2. to *** interfacial sites exhibit a synergistic adsorption eff ect on the reaction ***^(0) sites promote the adsorption and activation of C=C bonds,while O V preferably adsorbs C=O bonds,mitigating competition with C=C bonds for Pd^(0) adsorption *** synergy ensures rapid C=C bond activation and accelerates the attack of active H*species on the semi-hydrogenated *** a result,our Pd/CeO_(2.-500 catalyst,enriched with Pd^(0)-O v-Ce^(3+)interfacial sites,dem-onstrated excellent hydrogenation activity at just 30℃.The catalyst achieved a Cis-C18:1 conversion rate of 99.8% and a methyl stearate formation rate of 5.7 mol/(h·g metal).This work revealed the interfacial sites for enhanced hydrogenation reactions and provided ideas for designing highly active hydrogenation catalysts.

Deep-red/near-infrared fluorescence is highly suitable for bioimaging owing to its ability to deeply penetrate tissues,organs,and live ***,developing organic fluorophores with high deep-red/near-infrared fluorescence quantum yield(Φ_(FL))and fluorescent brightness remain a significant challenge owing to the energy gap ***,we developed a straightforward and effective chalcogen-annulation strategy by introducing O,S and Se into the bay region of TDI and QDI fluorophores,realizing the increase ofΦFLand fluorescent brightness up to 10 *** our best knowledge,this study potentially stands as the pioneering instance showcasing the anti-heavy-atom effect of chalcogens,and the absoluteΦFL(93%)and fluorescent brightness(12.,2.0 cm^(-1)mol^(-1)L)of Se-TDI is among top deep-red/near-infrared organic fluorophores currently *** femtosecond transient absorption(fs-TA)measurements show the absence of obvious changes of the excited state lifetime after the introduction of chalcogens in TDI and QDI fluorophores,indicating that intersystem crossing(ISC)can be neglected in TDI and QDI *** calculations further reveal the chalcogen-annulation strategy increase the radiative rates and reduce the reorganization energy of several accepting modes at the ground state in TDI fluorophores,leading to the suppression of internal conversion(IC)*** chalcogen-annulation strategy,which effectively increases the Φ_(FL)and restricts the IC processes,while remaining unaffected by the heavy-atom effect,offers novel insights and theoretical support for the design and synthesis of deep-red/near-infrared organic fluorophores with high Φ_(FL)and fluorescent brightness.

The necrotrophic fungus, Sclerotinia sclerotiorum, employs an array of cell wall-degrading enzymes(CWDEs), including cellulase, to dismantle host cell walls. However, the molecular mechanisms through which S. sclerotiorum degrades cellulose remain elusive. Here, we unveil a novel secretory cellobiohydrolase, SsdchA, characterized by a signal peptide and a Glyco_hydro_7(GH7) domain. SsdchA exhibits a robust expression of during early infection stages. Interestingly, colony morphology and growth rates remain unaffected across the wild-type, SsdchA deletion strains and SsdchA overexpression strains on potato dextrose agar(PDA) medium. Nevertheless, the pathogenicity and cellobiohydrolase activity decreased in the SsdchA deletion strains, but enhanced in the SsdchA overexpression strains. Moreover,the heterologous expression of SsdchA in Arabidopsis thaliana leads to reduced cellulose content and heightened susceptibility to S. sclerotiorum. Collectively, our data underscore the pivotal role of the novel cellobiohydrolase SsdchA in the pathogenicity of S. sclerotiorum.

Stimulated Brillouin scattering in planar integrated circuits promises to realize compact and highly coherent *** we report efficient Brillouin lasing at telecommunication wavelength from a planar Ge_(2.)Sb_(10)S_(65) chalcogenide(ChG)resonator with a high quality factor above 106.A low lasing threshold of 2..8 mW is achieved with a slope efficiency of 8.3%.An 8-kHz linewidth is measured for 1.56-mW on-chip output *** work offers a good opportunity to enrich the versatility and functionality of the ChG photonics on account of their intrinsic advantages of low loss,high third-order nonlinearity,and potential capacity for wafer-scale fabrication.
