Weeds cause tremendous economic and ecological damage *** number of genomes established for weed species has sharply increased during the recent decade,with some 26 weed species having been sequenced and de novo genomes *** genomes range from 270 Mb(Barbarea vulgaris)to almost 4.4 Gb(Aegilops tauschii).Importantly,chromosome-level assemblies are now available for 17 of these 26 species,and genomic investigations on weed populations have been conducted in at least 12 *** resulting genomic data have greatly facilitated studies of weed management and biology,especially origin and *** weed genomes have indeed revealed valuable weed-derived genetic materials for crop *** this review,we summarize the recent progress made in weed genomics and provide a perspective for further exploitation in this emerging field.

Wetland is a new type of sedimentary facies proposed for the first time in this paper. It is a type of sedimentary environment, transitional between land facies and water (sea or lake) facies. In this paper, wetland is redefined as “a type of sedimentary environments whose ground surface is flat and wet throughout the year, which may be covered with very shallow water (less than 2 m deep), and is covered with lush plant growth”. Wetland is reclassified into two types, swamp wetland (swamp in brief) and wet plain wetland (wet plain in brief). Swamp deposits are coal, while wet plain deposits are dark colored mudstones or silty mudstones rich in plant fossils and carbon debris. The deposits of wet plain are different from those of lake and floodplain in the abundance of plant fossils, color, resistivity well logging curve, and other sedimentary characteristics. In boreholes, resistivity logging can be used to distinguish between wet plain mudstones and lake mudstones. Understanding the sedimentary characteristics of wet plain wetland can help to identify wet plain deposits which were formerly classified as floodplain or lake deposits. This will help to reconstruct the palaeogeography and to understand the history of basin and climate evolution accurately, and is especially important in evaluation of the hydrocarbon generating potential of a basin. With the Jurassic Sangonghe Formation of the Yanqi Basin as an example, the identification characteristics of wetland are described.

At the 1986 Paris International Art Festival, the Dong chorus, with their unique singing style and melodious rhymes, caused a sensation in international musical *** soulful singing is said to be the most important discovery in Chinese music history and a miracle o ic, proving the incredible variety of Chinese folk *** folk songs incorporate all the traditional elements of Dong family life, including their love and *** Dong, with an official population of 2,514,014, are settled in the area where Guizhou, Hunan and Guangxi provinces meet. The Dong language was influenced by Mandarin and a script based on the Latin alphabets was designed in 1958. Most Dong people can speak Mandarin Chinese.

Information encryption with optical technologies has become increasingly importantdue to remarkable multidimensional capabilities of light ***,the opticalencryption protocols proposed to date have been primarily based on the first-orderfield characteristics,which are strongly affected by interference effects and make thesystems become quite unstable during light–matter ***,we introduce analternative optical encryption protocol whereby the information is encoded into thesecond-order spatial coherence distribution of a structured random light beam via ageneralized van Cittert–Zernike *** show that the proposed approach hastwo key advantages over its conventional ***,the complexity ofmeasuring the spatial coherence distribution of light enhances the encryption ***,the relative insensitivity of the second-order statistical characteristicsof light to environmental noise makes the protocol robust against the environmentalfluctuations,e.g,the atmospheric *** carry out experiments todemonstrate the feasibility of the coherence-based encryption method with the aid ofa fractional Fourier *** results open up a promising avenue for furtherresearch into optical encryption in complex environments.

Retinoid-related orphan receptor gamma-t(RORγt) belongs to the nuclear receptor superfamily that takes vital roles in the development and maturation of T-helper 17 cell(Th17) and lymph-node *** Th17 cells have been proved to be major effectors in human autoimmune and inflammatory diseases,the agonists and antagonists of RORγt have been discovered as promising leads for the therapeutics of these *** of the current studies of RORγt inhibitors have been focused on ligand binding domain(LBD) of RORγt because the structure and binding pockets of LBD have been elucidated and studied in *** research elucidated that the hinge domain(HD) of RORγt was significantly involved in the SUMOylation of RORγt and thus specifically affecting T cell development but not lymph-node *** discoveries highlighted the potential of HD of RORγt as the target of RORγt inhibitors that could specifically inhibit Th17-related activities without affecting lymph-node *** this study,we utilized a screening system with full-length RORγt including DBD,HD and LBD to evaluate the activities of a synthesized library of tetrahydrobenzo[4,5]thieno[2,3-d]pyrimidine *** identified a potent lead compound that effectively inhibited Th17 cell differentiation(Figure 1.).Docking and structure-activity relationship(SAR) studies showed that compound 28 may not bind in the binding pocket as most of the known inhibitors,but may bind in the pocket closed to Gln223 and Leu244 in *** studies showed evidence that the HD of RORγt could afford a binding pocket for Th17 specific inhibitors and this domain should be further studied to discover potent and specific RORγt inhibitors.

Mammalian mitochondrial D-loop L-strand RNA (DL-RNA) is thought functionally not important because no obvious function has been found so far. In this study, we detected a novel D-loop L-strand RNA (DL-RNA) in mouse mitochondrion by RT-PCR. The L-strand RNA spans the whole D-loop region of mouse mtDNA, and is resistant to RNase A and RNase T1 but not RNase H digestion. After binding of the L-strand RNA to D-loop, the DL-RNA complex can protect the D-loop from digestion by restriction endonucle-ase Hae Ⅲ. These results indicate that a novel RNA-DNA triplex hybrid (R-loop) can be formed in mouse mtDNA D-loop region, and that the DL-RNA structure is capable of protecting the D-loop from certain microbial restriction enzyme digestion. And the similar R-loop structure can not be found in Cyt. b gene in control experiment which confirmed this R-loop is not the fleeting structure in RNA transcription. 目的我们在实验中偶然发现了一种能抑制RORγt活性的新型化合物,拟通过鉴定该化合物对Th17体外分化及其细胞因子分泌的影响对其进行生物学评价,以确定该化合物是否可作为一种新型的自身免疫病候选药物。方法构建能在Jurkat细胞中稳定表达Gal4-RORγt的荧光素酶报告系统,通过该体系发现了一种对RORγt有显著抑制活性的新型化合物,并在小鼠Th17细胞分化实验中对该化合物的作用效果进行体外验证。在此基础上,对该化合物进行生物功能分析,包括EC50、CC50的测定以及T细胞特异性分析。结果通过体外验证实验,我们确定该化合物(编号为compound 2)能显著的抑制Th17分化及其细胞因子IL-17A、IL-17F的表达和分泌。在后续的生物学评价中,我们还发现该化合物对RORγt有较高的抑制效率,较低的细胞毒性和较强的T细胞特异性。结论本研究中得到的化合物compound 2可作为一种潜在的新型前导化合物应用于治疗自身免疫性疾病和一些炎症性疾病。
