In this paper, we derive the analytical solutions in a three-dimensional anisotropic magnetoelectroelastic bimaterial space subject to uniform extended dislocations and tractions within a horizontal circular area. By virtue of the Stroh formalism and Fourier transformation, the final expression of solutions in the physical domain contains only line integrals over [0, 2π] rather than infinite integrals. As the reduced cases, the half-space and homogeneous full-space solutions can be directly derived from the present solutions. Also, in terms of material domains, the present solutions can be reduced to the piezoelectric, piezomagnetic, purely elastic materials with different symmetries of material prop- erty. To carry out numerical calculations, Gauss quadrature is adopted. In the numerical examples, the effect of different loading locations on the response at the interface is analyzed. It is shown that, when the magnetic traction or electric dislocation is applied, the physical quantities on the interface may not decrease monotonically as the loading area moves away from the interface. The distributions of different in-plane physical quantities on the upper and lower interfaces under various extended horizontal loadings are compared and the differences are discussed. The work presented in this paper can serve as benchmarks for future numerical studies in related research fields.

Stem growth habit dictates plant architecture and influences flowering and podding(seed setting),making it an essential morphological and breeding agronomic trait of soybean(Glycine max).Stem growth habit in soybean is affected by photoperiod and environment and is determined by genetic variation at major *** genetic analysis identified two critical loci,designated Determinacy 1(Dt1)and Determinacy 2(Dt2).Dt1 is an ortholog of Arabidopsis thaliana TERMINAL FLOWER1(TFL1)and specifies an indeterminate stem growth habit,whereas Dt2 specifies a semi-determinate growth ***-box proteins,including Dt2,SUPPRESSOR OF OVEREXPRESSION OF CO1(GmSOC1)and MADS-box genes downregulated by E1(GmMDE),repress Dt1 *** encoded by the E3 and E4 loci regulate the expression of soybean FLOWERING LOCUS T(GmFT)orthologs via circadian clock genes and E1,and GmFTs compete with Dt1 to regulate stem growth *** of the molecular mechanism underlying the regulation of stem growth habit in soybean has focused on the repression of Dt1 *** we provide an overview of progress made in elucidating the genetic and molecular bases of stem growth habit in soybean,with emphasis on the molecular components responsible for integrating photoperiodic flowering and stem growth habit.

The dynamic characteristics and structural responses of operation and grid loss offshore wind turbines(OWTs)under onshore and seafloor earthquakes are analyzed based on the established coupled seismic analysis *** addition to the remarkable influence of the rotor system on the responses of the operation OWT under earthquakes,interactions among the natural modes of the grid loss OWT in the fore-aft and side-to-side directions are *** comparing with the onshore earthquakes,the more significant differences of structural response are observed under the selected seafloor earthquakes,due to the longer duration and more abundant energy distribution around the natural frequencies of ***,a multiple tuned mass damper(MTMD)is designed and applied to the operation and grid loss ***,the comparisons of the mitigation effects under onshore and seafloor ground motions are carried out,and the necessity of applying seafloor ground motions to OWTs are ***,in comparison to the operation OWT,more effective reductions are observed for the grid loss OWT under onshore and seafloor earthquakes using the designed ***,the combined shutdown procedures and MTMD vibration control strategy is suggested for OWTs under earthquakes.

The morphology,size,and distribution of Laves phases have important influences on the mechanical properties of laser-repaired Inconel 718(IN718)*** to the deterioration of the substrate zone,the Laves phase in the laser cladding zone of IN718 superalloy cannot be optimized by a hightemperature solution *** this study,an in situ laser heat-treatment method was proposed to regulate the morphology and size of the Laves phase in the laser cladding zone of IN718 superalloy without impacting the substrate *** the in situ laser heat-treatment process,a laser was used to heat previously deposited layers with optimized manufacturing parameters.A thermocouple and an infrared camera were used to analyze thermal cycles and real-time temperature fields,*** and micro-segregations were observed by optical microscopy,scanning electron microscopy,and electron probe *** was found that the in situ laser heat treatment effectively changed the morphology and size of the Laves phase,which was transformed from a continuous striplike shape to a discrete granular *** effective temperature range and duration were the two main factors influencing the Laves phase during the in situ laser heat-treatment *** effective temperature range was determined by the laser linear energy density,and the peak temperature increased with the increase of the linear energy *** addition,the temperature amplitude could be reduced by simultaneously increasing the laser power and the scanning ***,a flow diagram was developed based on the in situ laser heat-treatment process,and the deposition of a single-walled sample with fine and granular Laves phases was detected.

Improving CNT-Si solar cells by metal chloride-to-oxide transformation

Transitional metal oxides(TMOs)are important functional materials in silicon-based and thin-film ***,TMOs areapplied in carbon nanotube(CNT)-Si solar cells by spin-coating solutions of metal chlorides that undergo favorable transformation in ambient *** unconventional change in solar cell behavior is observed after coating two particular chlorides(MoCl,and WCls,respectively),characterized by an initial severe degradation followed by gradual recovery and then well surpassing the original *** analysis reveals that the formation of correspondina oxides(MoOa and WO.)enables two primary functions on both CNTs(p-type doping)and Si(inducing inversion layer),leading to significant improvement in open-circuit voltage and fill factor,with power conversion efficiencies up to 13.0%(MoOg)and 13.4%(WOg).Further combining with other chlorides to increase the short-circuit current,ultimate cells efficiencies achieve>16%with over 90%retention after 24 h,which are among the highes stable efficiencies reported for CNT-Si solar *** transformation of functional layers as demonstrated here has profoundinfluence on the device characteristics,and represents a potential strategy in low-cost manufacturing of next-generation high efficiency photovoltaics.

To maintain the stability of the inter-satellite link for gravitational wave detection,an intelligent learning monitoring and fast warning method of the inter-satellite link control system failure is *** from the traditional fault diagnosis optimization algorithms,the fault intelligent learning method pro-posed in this paper is able to quickly identify the faults of inter-satellite link control system despite the existence of strong cou-pling *** constructing a two-layer learning network,the method enables efficient joint diagnosis of fault areas and fault *** simulation results show that the average identification time of the system fault area and fault parameters is 0.27 s,and the fault diagnosis efficiency is improved by 99.8%compared with the traditional algorithm.

A decline in mucosal vascularity is a histological hallmark of oral submucous fibrosis (OSF), a premalignant disease that is largely induced by betel quid chewing. However, the lack of available models has challenged studies of angiogenesis in OSF. Here, we found that the expression of thrombospondin 1 (THBS1), an endogenous angiostatic protein, was elevated in the stroma of tissues with OSF. Using a fibroblast-attached organoid (FAO) model, the overexpression of THBS1 in OSF was stably recapitulated in vitro. In the FAO model,treatment with arecoline, a major pathogenic component in areca nuts, enhanced the secretion of transforming growth factor (TGF)-β1 by epithelial cells, which then promoted the expression of THBS1 in fibroblasts. Furthermore, human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVECs)were incorporated into the FAO to mimic the vascularized component. Overexpression of THBS1 in fibroblasts drastically suppressed the sprouting ability of endothelial cells in vascularized FAOs (v FAOs). Consistently, treatment with arecoline reduced the expression of CD31in v FAOs, and this effect was attenuated when the endothelial cells were preincubated with neutralizing antibody of CD36, a receptor of THBS1. Finally, in an arecoline-induced rat OSF model, THBS1 inhibition alleviated collagen deposition and the decline in vascularity in vivo. Overall, we exploited an assembled organoid model to study OSF pathogenesis and provide a rationale for targeting THBS1.

Plasma-activated water(PAW)has been utilised in various application fields,and a deep understanding on the plasma chemistry is the foundation of application-orientated *** this paper,a global model is built to study the chemical properties of PAW produced by a dielectric barrier discharge that is powered by nanosecond voltage *** applied voltage is firstly repeated with 10 kHz frequency for 100 s,and then shut down for 200 s afterglow,providing a long-term evolution regarding the production and consumption of some typical reactive oxygen/nitrogen species(RONS)in *** calculated results agree principally with experimental measurements from *** the pulsed discharge,the water gradually acidises,and the long-lived species accumulate;while in the afterglow,most of the aqueous RONS decay rapidly,except for O_(3aq),NO_(3aq)^(−),H_(2)O_(2aq)and N_(2)O_(aq),which might be the main sources to sustain long-term ***,the effects of applied voltage and gap distance on RONS are *** analyses from Pearson correlation coefficient indicate that gaseous RONS are more sensitive to the gap distance,while the aqueous ones are more sensitive to the voltage amplitude,suggesting the possibility to independently regulating the gaseous and aqueous chemistry.
