Calculation Method of Optimal Speed Profile for Hot Plate During Controlled Cooling Process

The healthy and rapid development of the controlled cooling technology was hampered by the uneven cooling phenomenon. During the process of hot plate production,the homogeneous cooling along the length direction of plate was constrained by lots of factors. And because the speed was a flexible control parameter,the calculation method of optimal speed profile was developed based on the measured start cooling temperature and its matrix equation was solved by the Cholesky decomposition method. The optimal speed profile was used in online control system. As a result,the temperature distribution along the plate length direction was relatively uniform,and 95% of measured final cooling temperature difference from the target temperature 700 ℃ was controlled within ±20 ℃.

Tungsten(W) has been received much attention,since it is regarded as one of the most promising plasma facing materials for fusion *** are two typical morphologies of unirradiated polycrystalline W,which have the equiaxed and columnar grains,***,the role of arrangement of grain boundary(GB) in absorbing irradiation-generated point defects is still waiting to be *** current investigation,irradiation-induced void formations in W with equiaxed and columnar microstructures are predicted,respectively,using the developed phase-field *** significant kinetic behavior,such as the generation and annihilation of point defects and the interaction between point defects and GB,is reasonably *** density,size and porosity of void formed in these two microstructures are examined and analyzed according to the effects of GB ratio,temperature and damage *** analytical results show that higher GB ratio can effectively reduce void porosity,and the columnar-grained structure has better irradiation resistance than that of the equiaxed one in the case of small grain *** importantly,the predicted void sizes changed with temperature and damage rate agree well with the experimentally measured *** work has a more beneficial contribution to the microstructural improvement of International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor-grade W.

The nonlinear variation of wave is commonly seen in nearshore area,and the resulting seabed response and liquefaction are of high concern to coastal *** this study,an analytical formula considering the nonlinear wave skewness and asymmetry is adopted to provide wave pressure on the seabed *** liquefaction depth attenuation coefficient and width growth coefficient are defined to quantitatively characterize the nonlinear effect of wave on seabed *** on the 2D full dynamic model of wave-induced seabed response,a detailed parametric study is carried out in order to evaluate the influence of the nonlinear variation of wave loadings on seabed ***,new empirical prediction formulas are proposed to fast predict the maximum liquefaction under nonlinear *** indicate that(1)Due to the influence of wave nonlinearity,the vertical transmission of negative pore water pressure in the seabed is hindered,and therefore,the amplitude decreases significantly.(2)In general,with the increase of wave nonlinearity,the liquefaction depth of seabed decreases *** under asymmetric and skewed wave loading,the attenuation of maximum seabed liquefaction depth is the most significant among all the nonlinear wave ***,highly skewed wave can cause the liquefaction depth of seabed greater than that under linear wave.(3)The asymmetry of wave pressure leads to the increase of liquefaction width,whereas the influence of skewedness is not significant.(4)Compared with the nonlinear waveform,seabed liquefaction is more sensitive to the variation of nonlinear degree of wave loading.

Employing the stellar evolution code Modules for Experiments in Stellar Astrophysics(MESA),we calculate yields of heavy elements from massive stars via stellar wind and core−collapse supernova(CCSN)ejecta to the interstellar medium(ISM).In our models,the initial masses(Mini)of massive stars are taken from 13 to 80 M⊙,their initial rotational velocities(V)are 0,300 and 500 km s^(−1),and their metallicities are[Fe/H]=−3,−2,−1 and *** yields of heavy elements coming from stellar winds are mainly affected by stellar rotation which changes the chemical abundances of stellar surfaces via chemically homogeneous evolution,and enhances mass-loss *** estimate that the stellar wind can produce heavy element yields of about 10^(−2)(for low metallicity models)to a mass of severalM⊙(for low metallicity and rapid rotation models).The yields of heavy elements produced by CCSN ejecta also depend on the large amount of remnantmass which is mainly determined by the mass of the *** models calculate that the yields of heavy elements produced by CCSN ejecta can get up to several M⊙.Compared with stellar wind,CCSN ejecta has a greater contribution to the heavy elements in *** also compare the 56Ni yields calculated in this work with the observational *** models only explain the 56Ni masses produced by faint SNe or normal SNe with progenitor mass lower than about 25 M⊙,and greatly underestimate the 56Ni masses produced by stars with masses higher than about 30M⊙.

Vascular remodeling and angiogenesis are two key processes in the maintenance of vascular homeostasis and involved in a wide array of vascular pathologies. Following these processes, extracellular matrix (ECM) provides the mechanical foundation for vascular walls. Lysyl oxidase (LOX), the key matrix-modifying enzyme, has been demonstrated to significantly affect structural abnormality and dysfunction in the blood vessels. The role of LOX in vascular remodeling and angiogenesis has always been the subject in the current medical research. Therefore, we presently make a summarization of the biosynthesis of LOX and the mechanisms involved in vascular remodeling and angiogenesis, as well as the role of LOX in diseases associated with vascular abnormalities and the therapeutic potential via targeting LOX. In particular, we give a proposal that LOX likely reshapes matrisome-associated genes expressions in the regulation of vascular remodeling and angiogenesis, which serves as a mechanistic insight into the critical role of LOX in these two aspects. Additionally, LOX has also dual effects on the vascular dysfunction, namely, inhibition of LOX for improving hypertension, restenosis and malignant tumor while activation of LOX for curing arterial aneurysm and dissection. LOX-targeted therapy may provide a promising therapeutic strategy for the treatment of various vascular pathologies associated with vascular remodeling and angiogenesis.

Alzheimer＇s disease （AD） is the most common form of dementia among the elderly, characterized by amyloid plaques, neurofibrillary tangles, and neuroinflam- mation in the brain, as well as impaired cognitive behaviors. A sex difference in the prevalence of AD has been noted, while sex differences in the cerebral pathology and relevant molecular mechanisms are not well clarified. In the present study, we systematically investigated the sex differences in pathological characteristics and cognitive behavior in 12-month-old male and female APP/PSI/tau triple-trans- genic AD mice （3xTg-AD mice） and examined the molecular mechanisms. We found that female 3×Tg-AD mice displayed more prominent amyloid plaques, neurofib- rillary tangles, neuroinflammation, and spatial cognitive deficits than male 3×Tg-AD mice. Furthermore, the expres- sion levels of hippocampal protein kinase A-cAMP response element-binding protein （PKA-CREB） and p38- mitogen-activated protein kinases （MAPK） also showed sex difference in the AD mice, with a significant increase in the levels of p-PKA/p-CREB and a decrease in the p-p38 in female, but not male, 3×Tg-AD mice. We suggest that an estrogen deficiency-induced PKA-CREB-MAPK signaling disorder in 12-month-old female 3×Tg-AD mice might be involved in the serious pathological and cognitive damage in these mice. Therefore, sex differences should be taken into account in investigating AD biomarkers and related target molecules, and estrogen supplementation or PKA-CREB- MAPK stabilization could be beneficial in relieving the pathological damage in AD and improving the cognitive behavior of reproductively-senescent females.

Agomelatine is a selective agonist of melatonin receptor 1A/melatonin receptor 1B(MT/MT)and antagonist of 5-hydroxytryptamine 2C *** is used clinically to treat major depressive episodes in *** pro-chronobiological activity of agomelatine reconstructs sleep-wake rhythms and normalizes circadian disturbances via its agonistic effect of melatonin receptor 1A/melatonin receptor 1B,which work simultaneously to counteract depression and anxiety ***,by antagonizing neocortical postsynaptic 5-hydroxytryptamine 2C receptors,agomelatine enhances the release of dopamine and noradrenaline in the prefrontal cortex,increases the activity of dopamine and noradrenaline,and thereby reduces depression and anxiety *** combination of these two effects means that agomelatine exhibits a unique pharmacological role in the treatment of depression,anxiety,and disturbance of the circadian *** and sleep are closely related to memory and cognitive *** disorder is defined as any forms of memory abnormality,which is typically evident in a broad range of neurodegenerative diseases,including Alzheimer’s *** impairment and cognitive impairment are common symptoms of neurodegenerative and psychiatric ***,whether agomelatine can improve memory and cognitive behaviors if used for alleviating depression and circadian-rhythm sleep disorders has become a research“hotspot”.This review presents the latest findings on the effects of agomelatine in the treatment of psychologic and circadian-rhythm sleep disorders in clinical trials and animal *** review evaluates recent studies on treatment of memory impairment and cognitive impairment in neurodegenerative and psychiatric diseases.

Background Despite the increasing focus on strengthening One Health capacity building on global level,challenges remain in devising and implementing real-world interventions particularly in the Asia-Pacific *** these gaps,the One Health Action Commission(OHAC)was established as an academic community for One Health action with an emphasis on research agenda setting to identify actions for highest *** text This viewpoint describes the agenda of,and motivation for,the recently formed *** the urgent need for evidence to support the formulation of necessary action plans,OHAC advocates the adoption of both bottom-up and top-down approaches to identify the current gaps in combating zoonoses,antimicrobial resistance,addressing food safety,and to enhance capacity building for context-sensitive One Health *** By promoting broader engagement and connection of multidisciplinary stakeholders,OHAC envisions a collaborative global platform for the generation of innovative One Health knowledge,distilled practical experience and actionable policy advice,guided by strong ethical principles of One Health.
