Asymmetrical Fault Current Calculation Method and Influencing Factors Analysis of Droop-Controlled Inverters

Since the fault dynamic of droop-controlled inverter is different from synchronous generators (SGs), protection devices may become invalid, and the fault overcurrent may damage power electronic devices and threaten the safety of the microgrid. Therefore, it is imperative to conduct a comprehensive fault analysis of the inverter to guide the design of protection schemes. However, due to the complexity of droop control strategy, existing literatures have simplified asymmetric fault analysis of droop-controlled inverters to varying degrees. Therefore, accurate fault analysis of a droop-controlled inverter is needed. In this paper, by analyzing the control system, an accurate fault model is established. Based on this, a calculation method for instantaneous asymmetrical fault current is proposed. In addition, the current components and current characteristics are analyzed. It was determined that fault currents are affected by control loops, fault types, fault distance and nonlinear limiters. In particular, the influences of limiters on the fault model, fault current calculation and fault current characteristics were analyzed. Through detailed analysis, it was found that dynamics of the control loop cannot be ignored, the fault type and fault distance determine fault current level, and part of the limiters will totally change the fault current trend. Finally, calculation and experimental results verify the correctness of the proposed method.

Binding and conformation of dendrimer-based drug delivery systems:a molecular dynamics study

All atomistic molecular dynamics simulations were performed on poly （amidoamine）（PAMAM） dendrimers that compound non-covalently with anticancer drug molecules including DOX, MTX, CE6, and SN38. The binding energies as well as their associated interaction energies and deformation energies were combined to evaluate the relative binding strength among drug, PAMAM, and PEG chains. We find that the deformation of dendrimers due to drug loading plays a crucial role in the drug binding. It is energetically favorable for the drug molecules to bind with PAMAM while the drugs bind with PEG metastable chains via kinetic confinement. Surface PEGylation helps dendrimers to accommodate more drug molecules with greater strength without inducing too much expansion. This work indicates that tuning the functionalized terminal groups of dendrimers is critical to design efficient dendrimer-based drug delivery systems.

Laparoscopic and open splenectomy and azygoportal disconnection for portal hypertension

AIM： To compare the outcomes of laparoscopic and open splenectomy and azygoportal devascularization for portal hypertension. METHODS： From June 2006 to March 2009, laparoscopic splenectomy and azygoportal disconnection （LSD） were performed on 28 patients with cirrhosis, bleeding due to portal hypertension, and secondary hypersplenism. Success was achieved in 26 patients. Demographic, intraoperative, and postoperative variables of the patients were compared. RESULTS： Success of laparoscopic splenectomy and azygoportal disconnection was achieved in all but two patients （7.14%） who required open splenectomy and azygoportal devascularization （OSD）. The operation time was significantly longer in patients undergoing LSD than in those undergoing OSD （235 ± 36 min vs 178 ± 47 rain, P 〈 0.05）. The estimated intraoperative blood loss was much more in patients receiving OSD than in those receiving LSD （420 ± 50 mL vs 200 ± 30 mL, P 〈 0.01）. The proportion of patients undergoing laparoscopic and open splenectomy and azygoportal disconnection who received transfusion of packed red blood cells during or after the operation was 23.08% and 38.46%, respectively （P 〈 0.05）. The time of first oral intake was faster in patients after LSD than in those after OSD （1.5 ± 0.7 d vs 3.5 ± 1.6 d, P 〈 0.05）. The hospital stay of patients after LSD was shorter than that of patients after OSD （6.5 ± 2.3 d vs 11.7 ± 4.5 d, P 〈 0.05）. The pain requiring medication was less severe in patients after LSD than in those after OSD （7.69% vs 73.08%, P 〈 0.001）. The overall complication rate was lower in patients after LSD than in those after OSD （19.23% vs 42.31%, P 〈 0.05）.CONCLUSION： Laparoscopic splenectomy and azygoportal disconnection are the feasible, effective, and safe surgical procedure, and are advantageous over minimally invasive surgery for bleeding portal hypertension and hypersplenism.

Many rubber friction theories or some method combined theories and field-experiments are employed to evaluate the pavement skid-resistance deterioration due to the evolution of surface ***,these methods are difficult to be implemented in the analysis of situations with multi-factor coupling and some extreme *** study developed a framework to evaluate the skid-resistance deterioration of asphalt *** this framework,the portable laser scanning was used to create the digital worn pavement model,and a hydroplaning finite element(FE)model for these digital worn pavements was constructed to evaluate coupling effects of the texture evolution and factors of slip ratio,slip angle,velocity and water film on braking-cornering characteristics of *** this study,the deterioration of skid-resistance of five typical asphalt pavements due the surface texture wear was systematically investigated by this *** with previous works,this study established the rubber friction models for each digital worn pavement considering the energy hysteresis of rubber and the power spectrum density of surface *** the rubber friction model was used to define the interaction behaviors between the tire and corresponding wore pavements in the FE hydroplaning model,rather than using an empirical friction model or a fixed friction coefficient.

Clinical value of ^(18)F-FDG PET/CT in evaluation of hepatic vein,inferior vena cava and right atrium tumor thrombi in hepatocellular carcinoma:Initial results

In this paper,eleven consecutive hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC) patients with an embolus in the hepatic vein(HV),inferior vena cava(IVC)and right atrium(RA) were studied with 18F-FDG PET/CT and contrast enhanced *** correlated with final diagnosis,18F-FDG PET/CT and contrast enhanced CT was positive in 11 patients(100%),7 patients(63.6%),*** accuracy of PET/CT and contrast-enhanced CT were 100%,63.6%.Three cases with secondary blood thrombi in the distant IVC,which were confirmed by PET/CT,cannot be identified by contrast enhanced *** average survival was 3 months(range,1-12mo).The 12 months survival rate was 9.1%.Our results suggest that highly metabolic tumor thrombus in the HV,IVC and RA may be depicted on 18F-FDG PET/CT in HCC *** may discriminate between malignant and secondary benign blood thrombi.

Spatiotemporal changes of gross primary productivity and its response to drought in the Mongolian Plateau under climate change

Gross primary productivity(GPP)of vegetation is an important constituent of the terrestrial carbon sinks and is significantly influenced by *** the impact of droughts on different types of vegetation GPP provides insight into the spatiotemporal variation of terrestrial carbon sinks,aiding efforts to mitigate the detrimental effects of climate *** this study,we utilized the precipitation and temperature data from the Climatic Research Unit,the standardized precipitation evapotranspiration index(SPEI),the standardized precipitation index(SPI),and the simulated vegetation GPP using the eddy covariance-light use efficiency(EC-LUE)model to analyze the spatiotemporal change of GPP and its response to different drought indices in the Mongolian Plateau during *** main findings indicated that vegetation GPP decreased in 50.53% of the plateau,mainly in its northern and northeastern parts,while it increased in the remaining 49.47%***,meadow steppe(78.92%)and deciduous forest(79.46%)witnessed a significant decrease in vegetation GPP,while alpine steppe(75.08%),cropland(76.27%),and sandy vegetation(87.88%)recovered *** aridification areas accounted for 71.39% of the affected areas,while 28.53% of the areas underwent severe aridification,mainly located in the south and central ***,the warming aridification areas of desert steppe(92.68%)and sandy vegetation(90.24%)were *** warming was found to amplify the sensitivity of coniferous forest,deciduous forest,meadow steppe,and alpine steppe GPP to ***,the drought sensitivity of vegetation GPP in the Mongolian Plateau gradually decreased as altitude *** cumulative effect of drought on vegetation GPP persisted for 3.00-8.00 *** findings of this study will improve the understanding of how drought influences vegetation in arid and semi-arid areas.

^(18)F-FDG PET/CT for malignant small intestinal neoplasms

In this paper, 18F-FDG PET/CT data of 19 malignant SINs (small intestinal neoplasms) were consecutively reviewed. Nnine patients accepted PET/CT scan for preoperative diagnosis and staging, while ten patients presented follow-up after treatment and restaging. The results were correlated with abdomen enhanced CT and surgical pathological findings. Abdominal pain and weight loss were the most common findings. About 16% SINs located in the duodenum, 52% in the jejunum and 32% in the ileum. Lymphoma was the most frequent neoplasms. PET/CT revealed residual or recurrent malignant SINs in 5 patients who had negative or non-definite findings by abdomen CT and demonstrated extra-abdomen metastasis in 3 patients. Clinical decisions of treatment were changed for 6 patients after PET/CT examinations. The 18F-FDG PET/CT were better than CT in accuracy, negative predictive value and positive predictive value (89.5% vs 68.4%, 100% vs 66.7%, and 81.8% vs 69.2%, respectively). Whole body 18F-FDG PET/CT may be an effective molecular imaging method for staging and restaging of malignant SINs.
