Polarity is a critical microenvironmental factor of the plasma membrane,which can offer valuable insights into various biological ***,we proposed a novel strategy for the construction of fluorescent agents to measure plasma membrane polarity by conjoining twisted intramolecular charge transfer(TICT)modulation and charge number *** is shown that compounds with a stronger TICT tendency are more sensitive to polarity shifts due to the number of dialkylated amino groups present(from 1 to 3),and the molecules with two or more charged centers remain in the plasma ***,we developed two fluorescent agents with high polarity sensitivity,excellent turn-on ratios,and superior ability,to target the plasma *** the wash-free fluorescence imaging and fluorescence lifetime tests,our designed agent could detect plasma membrane polarity with high precision,allowing effective distinction between cancer cells and normal cells based on their differences in plasma membrane ***,both fluorescence and fluorescence lifetime changes of the plasma membrane in the ferroptosis model established by Sorafenib confirmed an increase in plasma membrane polarity during cell ferroptosis.

Liquid crystals are a vital component of modern photonics,and recent studies have demonstrated the exceptional sensing properties of stimuli-responsive cholesteric liquid ***,existing cholesteric liquid crystal-based sensors often rely on the naked eye perceptibility of structural color or the measurement of wavelength changes by spectrometric tools,which limits their practical ***,developing a platform that produces recognizable sensing signals is *** this study,we present a visual sensing platform based on geometric phase encoding of stimuli-responsive cholesteric liquid crystal polymers that generates real-time visual patterns,rather than frequency *** demonstrate this platform’s effectiveness,we used a humidity-responsive cholesteric liquid crystal polymer film encoded with a q-plate pattern,which revealed that humidity causes a shape change in the vortex beam reflected from the encoded cholesteric liquid crystal ***,we developed a prototype platform towards remote humidity monitoring benefiting from the high directionality and long-range transmission properties of laser beams carrying orbital angular *** approach provides a novel sensing platform for cholesteric liquid crystals-based sensors that offers promising practical *** ability to generate recognizable sensing signals through visual patterns offers a new level of practicality in the sensing field with stimuli-responsive cholesteric liquid *** platform might have significant implications for a broad readership and will be of interest to researchers working in the field of photonics and sensing technology.

Perovskite solar cells(PsCs)have developed tremendously over the past ***,the key factors influencing the power conversion efficiency(PCE)of PSCs remain incompletely understood,due to the complexity and coupling of these structural and compositional *** this research,we demon-strate an effective approach to optimize PSCs performance via machine learning(ML).To address chal-lenges posed by limited samples,we propose a feature mask(FM)method,which augments training samples through feature transformation rather than synthetic *** this approach,squeeze-and-excitation residual network(SEResNet)model achieves an accuracy with a root-mean-square-error(RMSE)of 0.833%and a Pearson's correlation coefficient(r)of ***,we employ the permu-tation importance(PI)algorithm to investigate key features for ***,we predict PCE through high-throughput screenings,in which we study the relationship between PCE and chemical *** that,we conduct experiments to validate the consistency between predicted results by ML and experimental *** this work,ML demonstrates the capability to predict device performance,extract key parameters from complex systems,and accelerate the transition from laboratory findings to commercialapplications.

目的:观察体外培养的牙髓细胞向成牙本质细胞分化过程中碱性磷酸酶的表达和矿化结节形成能力,建立成牙本质细胞样细胞体外培养体系。方法:实验于2004-07/2005-07在中山大学光华口腔医学院完成。利用组织块酶解法培养人牙髓细胞并进行鉴定,取第3代牙髓细胞,胰酶消化后进行细胞计数,连续观察7d,绘制生长曲线。第3代牙髓细胞,使用矿化诱导液诱导其向成牙本质细胞样细胞分化,观察细胞形态改变和碱性磷酸酶活性变化,用Von kossa染色法观察诱导后的细胞形成矿化结节的能力。结果:①获得的牙髓细胞均为波形丝蛋白阳性,角蛋白阴性,证明为中胚层来源的细胞。②诱导分化的牙髓细胞在2周左右进入复层生长期;3周左右开始有细胞结节形成,周围细胞呈放射状排列,部分细胞出现细长突起并呈极性排列。4周左右细胞团中央Von Kossa染色为阳性。③与未诱导的细胞相比,矿化诱导开始3周碱性磷酸酶活性逐渐升高,但到第4周后活性有所降低。结论:实验成功建立了成牙本质细胞样细胞体外培养体系,所获得的成牙本质细胞样细胞具有成牙本质细胞的部分形态和生物学功能,是研究成牙本质细胞的较好模型。

Systematic mass spectrometric 230Th ages are reported for a Ponies coral reef terrace from Dengloujiao, Leizhou Peninsula, South China Sea. Seven episodes of coral growth were recognized in this terrace: 7125±96, 6764±29, 5826±37, 5006±54, 2543±24, 1915±15, and 1513±22 calendar years before present (cal. aBP). 50% of the coral age popula-tion fall between 7200 and 6600 cal. aBP, marking post-glacial stabilization of global sea level. Considering the facts that (i) Dengloujiao reef flat was measured at 1.6-2.5 m above modern tidal datum plane; (ii) modern Parties corals in the South China Sea are living at least ~1 m below the modern tidal datum plane; (iii) the top 20-30 cm of the reef was eroded; and (iv) crustal subsidence in the region since mid-Holocene was negligible, we conclude that the above age groups record at least two major periods (7200-5000 and 2500-1500 cal. aBP) of high sea-level at least 2.9-3.8 m above the present-day level.

In order to investigate the simplified calculation method of the rebound model of the grouted sleeve and mortise-and-tenon hybrid-connected assembled reinforced concrete piers， quasi-static tests were conducted on three types of piers: cast-in-place piers (SZT-1)， single-span assembled piers (SG-1)， and double-span assembled piers (SGT-1). It was found that the damage modes and seismic performance of the SGT-1 specimens were similar to those of SG-1， while the seismic performance of the hybrid-connected assembled piers was better than that of SZT-1. Parametric analyses were carried out using experimentally-validated finite-element models to investigate the effects of parameters such as axial compression ratio， slenderness ratio， longitudinal reinforcement ratio， concrete strength， and the dimensions and materials of the protruding tenon and steel pipe on the seismic performance of the piers. In addition， the skeleton curve eigenvalue formula and rebound model are proposed， which can be used for elastic-plastic analysis and calculation of hybrid connection assembled piers.

Kasha's exciton model proposes that T1 energy levels of organic compounds are insensitive to molecular aggregation and microenvironment change because of negligible small transition dipole moments of T1 *** model holds true in most organic systems till *** we report the fabrication of twisted organic phosphors with intramolecular charge transfer characters and flexible molecular *** doped into different organic matrices,the twisted phosphor adopts different conformation,exhibits distinct phosphorescence colors and T1 energy levels,which violates Kasha's exciton model in organic *** that the change of phosphorescence colors and maxima can be readily distinguished by human eyes and conventional instrument,the twisted phosphors would be exploited as a new type of molecular probe,which would exhibit potential application in optical sensing and stimuli-responsive systems.

Microbial attributes were compared between soil fauna gut and plant rhizosphere.•Manure applications decreased or increased gut or rhizosphere bacterial diversity.•Stochastic or deterministic processes drove gut or rhizosphere bacterial assembly.•Manure applications increased bacterial network complexity of gut and *** microbes inhabit animals and plants,helping their hosts perform multiple functions in agricultural ***,the responses of soil fauna gut and plant rhizosphere microbiomes to livestock manure applications are still not well *** we fed Protaetia brevitarsis larvae(PBL)with chicken manure and collected their *** frass and manure were applied as fertilizers to lettuce *** then compared the changes of microbial diversity,community assembly,and potential functions between the gut group(i.e.,all PBL gut and frass samples)and the rhizosphere group(i.e.,all rhizosphere soil samples).We revealed that manure applications(i.e.,feeding or fertilization)decreased bacterial diversity in the gut group but increased that in the rhizosphere ***,the proportions of Bacilli in the gut group and Gammaproteobacteria in the rhizosphere group were increased(up to a maximum of 33.8%and 20.4%,respectively)after manure *** and deterministic processes dominated community assembly in the gut and rhizosphere microbiomes,*** applications increased the microbial co-occurrence network complexity of both the gut and rhizosphere ***,the proportions of functional taxa associated with human/animal pathogens in the gut group and carbon/nitrogen cycling in the rhizosphere group were enhanced(up to 2.6-fold and 24.6-fold,respectively).Our findings illustrate the different responses of microbial diversity,community assembly,and potential functions in soil fauna gut and plant rhizosphere to manure *** results could enhance our knowledge on the reasonable utilization of

Rare earth elements and transition metals have been found to improve the hydrogen storage characteristics of magnesium-based *** study investigated the Mg-Ho-Fe（MHF） ternary alloy prepared using the vacuum induction melting technique.X-ray diffraction（XRD）,scanning electron microscopy（SEM）,transmission electron microscopy（TEM）,pressure-composition-temperature（PCT）,and differential scanning calorimetry（DSC） were used to analyze the alloy's phase transitions,microstructure,thermodynamics,and kinetic *** results reveal that the Mg98Ho1.5Fe0.5alloy forms a solid solution with Ho and Fe in the magnesium *** hydrogen absorption,the activated alloy transforms into a mixture of Mg/MgH2phases and nanoscale ***,only the MgH2phase decomposes during hydrogen desorption,while the HoH2phase remains unchanged,exhibiting a positive catalytic *** alloy demonstrates excellent hydrogen absorption kinetics,achieving a capacity of 5.56 wt% H2within 10 min at 360℃,owing to the combined catalytic effects of Ho and *** activation energy for hydrogen desorption is found to be 135.87 kj/mol,which is lower than that of the activation energies of pure MgH2and MgFe alloys,indicating an enhancement in desorption ***,the enthalpy and entropy changes for hydrogen absorption and desorption are determined to be-70.51 kj/mol H2,-125.62 j/（K·mol） H2,72.83 kj/mol H2,and 128.95 j/（K·mol） H2,***,it is worth noting that the thermodynamic properties of the alloy are improved due to the catalytic effect of Ho and Fe.

The Tibetan Plateau(TP)and the Arctic are the most sensitive regions to global climate ***,the interdecadal varibility of winter extreme precipitation over the TP and its linkage with Arctic sea ice are still *** this study,the characteristics and mechisnems of the TP extreme precipitation(TPEP)influenced by Arctic sea ice on interdecadal timescale are studied based on the daily precipitation,monthly sea ice concentration and ERA5 reanalysis data from 1980 to *** found that the dominant mode of the TPEP in winter mostly exhibits a uniform spatial variation on the interdecadal timescale,with an opposite weak variation in the southeastern TP,and the Arctic sea ice concentration(SIC)before 2002 are larger than that after *** interdecadal variation of TPEP is affected by two teleconnection wave trains regulated by the Barents and Kara Sea *** the light ice years,a remarkable positive geopotential height(HGT)anomaly appears over the Barents-Kara Sea and a remarkable negative HGT anomaly is located over the Lake *** wave trains originating over the Barents-Kara Sea can be *** southern branch forms a wave train through the North Atlantic along the subtropical westerly jet stream,showing a‘+-+-+'pattern of HGT anomalies from Arctic to the *** HGT anomaly controls the western TP,which creates dynamic and water vapor conditions for the *** northern branch forms a wave train through the Lake Baikal and the southeast of the TP,showing a‘+-+'HGT anomaly *** HGT anomaly controls the southeastern TP,which is not conducive to precipitation in the *** the SIC in the Barents-Kara Sea increases,the situation is *** above analysis also reveals the reason for the difference in the east-west distribution of the TPEP.
