Spatiotemporal mismatch of land use functions and land use efficiencies and their influencing factors:A case study in the Middle Reaches of the Yangtze River,China

Identification of the spatial mismatch between land use functions(LUFs)and land use efficiencies(LUEs)is essential to regional land use ***,previous studies about LUF-LUE mismatch and its driving factors have been *** this study,we explored the spatiotemporal mismatch of LUFs and LUEs and their influencing factors from 2000 to 2018 in the Middle Reaches of the Yangtze River(MRYR).Specifically,we used Spearman correlation analysis to reveal the trade-off relationship between LUFs and LUEs and determine the direction of the influencing factors on the LUF-LUE mismatch,adopted spatial mismatch analysis to measure the imbalance between LUFs and LUEs,and used the geographical detector model to analyze the factors influencing this spatial *** results showed that production function(PDF),living function(LVF),ecological function(ELF),agricultural production efficiency(APE),urban construction efficiency(UCE),and ecological services efficiency(ESE)all displayed significant spatial *** high trade-off areas were widely distributed and long-lasting in agricultural space and urban space,while gradually decreasing in ecological *** and Changsha showed high spatial mismatch coefficients in urban space,but low spatial mismatch coefficients in agricultural *** generally presented high spatial mismatch coefficients in ecological ***,the interaction of the proportion of cultivated area and transportation accessibility exacerbated the mismatch in agricultural *** interaction effects of capital investment and technology innovation with other factors have the most intense impact on the mismatch in urban *** internal factor for cultivated area interacts with other external factors to drastically affect ecological spatial mismatch.

Geminiviruses are a group of plant viruses that cause severe diseases in many economically important crops worldwide, leading to devastating losses to agricultural production. Here we summarize the occurrence and distribution of geminiviruses in China,which provides valuable information for further epidemiological studies and supports the development of effective disease management strategies.

Pyropia haitanensis polysaccharide extends lifespan by inhibiting protein aggregation in Caenorhabditis elegans

Pyropia haitanensis polysaccharide(LP)have been found for having many excellent functions such as *** Caenorhabditis elegans models,we evaluated the anti-aging activity of LP by observing the lifespan,reproduction,pharyngeal pumping,stress response,quantitative fluorescence of polyglutamic acid,and nuclear localization of DAF-16 of *** results reveal that LP could extend the adult lifespan of wild-type and polyQ nematodes,indicating a connection of its anti-aging benefit with the toxicity-suppressing *** number of polyglutamic acid aggregates in high concentration groups decreased by 24.39%(P<0.05)to the *** high-dose group strongly induced DAF-16 nuclear translocation over intermediate and cytosolic localizations compared with the control(P<0.001).Therefore,we believe that LP could extend the lifespan and reduce the protein aggregation in *** through nuclear DAF-16∷GFP expression.

DiGeorge(DGS)综合征是由22q11.2微缺失引起,多为儿童期起病。TBX1基因已被证实是22q11.2缺失综合征中最重要的候选基因,突变类型以该基因单倍体缺失为主。本文报道1例DGS综合征所致甲状旁腺功能减退症(甲旁减)合并低钙性心力衰竭的青年患者,基因检测发现与患者临床表型相关的致病性拷贝数变异,检出22号染色体q11.21位置约2674 kb的缺失变异,该染色体区间包含TBX1基因,为致病变异。本文探讨了DGS综合征临床特征、发病机制及目前相关治疗,强调了甲旁减的早期筛查、早期诊治、定期随访的重要性,以引起临床及遗传学医师重视。

Metabolite profiling and transcriptome analyses reveal novel regulatory mechanisms of melatonin biosynthesis in hickory

Studies have shown that melatonin regulates the expression of various elements in the biosynthesis and catabolism of plant *** contrast,the effects of these different plant hormones on the biosynthesis and metabolism of melatonin and their underlying molecular mechanisms are still *** this study,the melatonin biosynthesis pathway was proposed from constructed metabolomic and transcriptomic libraries from hickory(Carya cathayensis Sarg.)*** candidate pathway genes were further identified by phylogenetic analysis,amino-acid sequence alignment,and subcellular ***,most of the transcription factor-related genes coexpressed with melatonin pathway genes were hormone-responsive ***,dual-luciferase and yeast one‐hybrid assays revealed that CcEIN3(response to ethylene)and CcAZF2(response to abscisic acid)could activate melatonin biosynthesis pathway genes,a tryptophan decarboxylase coding gene(CcTDC1)and an N-acetylserotonin methyltransferase coding gene(CcASMT1),by directly binding to their promoters,*** results provide a molecular basis for the characterization of novel melatonin biosynthesis regulatory mechanisms and demonstrate for the first time that abscisic acid and ethylene can regulate melatonin biosynthesis.

Dear Editor,As one of the most widespread and destructive families of plant viruses,Geminiviridae,named for the twinned icosahedral particles of virus members in the family,poses a serious threat to agricultural production *** by various homopterans insects such as whiteflies,leafhoppers,aphids,and treehoppers,geminiviruses infect,in addition to wild plants,vegetable,root,and fiber crops,thus causing important losses around the globe(Hanley-Bowdoin et al.,2013;Li et al.,2022).
