Numerical investigation of sinusoidal pulsating gas intake to intensify the gas-slag momentum transfer in the top-blown smelting furnace

The variation characteristics of bubble morphology and the thermal-physical properties of bubble boundary in the top-blown smelting furnace were explored by means of the computational fluid dynamics method.The essential aspects of the fluid phase(e.g.,splashing volume,dead zone of copper slag,and gas penetration depth)were explored together with the effect of sinusoidal pulsating gas intake on the momentum-transfer performance between phases.The results illustrated that two relatively larger vortices and two smaller vortices appear in the bubble waist and below the lance,respectively.The expansion of larger ones as well as the shrinking of smaller ones combine to cause the contraction of the bubble waist.Compared to the results of the case with a fixed gas injection velocity(V_(g)=58 m/s),the splashing volume and dead zone volume of the slag under the V_(g)=58+10sin(2πt)condition are reduced by 24.9%and 23.5%,respectively,where t represents the instant time.Gas penetration depth and slag motion velocity of the latter are 1.03 and 1.31 times high-er than those of the former,respectively.

Senescence of activated hepatic stellate cells(aHSCs) is a stable growth arrest that is implicated in liver fibrosis regression.Senescent cells often accompanied by a multi-faceted senescence-associated secretory phenotype(SASP).But little is known about how alanine-serine-cysteine transporter type-2(ASCT2),a high affinity glutamine transporter,affects HSC senescence and SASP during liver fibrosis.Here,we identified ASCT2 is mainly elevated in aHSCs and positively correlated with liver fibrosis in human and mouse fibrotic livers.We first discovered ASCT2 inhibition induced HSCs to senescence in vitro and in vivo.The proinflammatory SASP were restricted by ASCT2 inhibition at senescence initiation to prevent paracrine migration.Mechanically,ASCT2 was a direct target of glutaminolysisdependent proinflammatory SASP,interfering IL-1α/NF-κB feedback loop via interacting with precursor IL-1α at Lys82.From a translational perspective,atractylenolide Ⅲ is identified as ASCT2 inhibitor through directly bound to Asn230 of ASCT2.The presence of -OH group in atractylenolide Ⅲ is suggested to be favorable for the inhibition of ASCT2.Importantly,atractylenolide Ⅲ could be utilized to treat liver fibrosis mice.Taken together,ASCT2 controlled HSC senescence while modifying the proinflammatory SASP.Targeting ASCT2 by atractylenolide Ⅲ could be a therapeutic candidate for liver fibrosis.

This study proposed a force and shape collaborative control method that combined method of influence coefficients(MIC)and the elitist nondominated sorting genetic algorithm(NSGA-II)to reduce the shape deviation caused by manufacturing errors,gravity deformation,and fixturing errors and improve the shape accuracy of the assembled large composite fuselage panel.This study used a multi-point flexible assembly system driven by hexapod parallel robots.The proposed method simultaneously considers the shape deviation and assembly load of the panel.First,a multi-point flexible assembly system driven by hexapod parallel robots was introduced,with the relevant variables defined in the control process.In addition,the corresponding mathematical model was constructed.Subsequently,MIC was used to establish the prediction models between the displacements of actuators and displacements of panel shape control points,deformation loads applied by the actuators.Following the modeling,the shape deviation of the panel and the assembly load were used as the optimization objectives,and the displacements of actuators were optimized using NSGA-II.Finally,a typical composite fuselage panel case study was considered to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.

As one of the bicyclic metabolic pathways of one-carbon metabolism,methionine metabolism is the pivot linking the folate cycle to the transsulfuration pathway.In addition to being a precursor for glutathione synthesis,and the principal methyl donor for nucleic acid,phospholipid,histone,biogenic amine,and protein methylation,methionine metabolites can participate in polyamine synthesis.Methionine metabolism disorder can aggravate the damage in the pathological state of a disease.In the occurrence and development of chronic liver diseases(CLDs),changes in various components involved in methionine metabolism can affect the pathological state through various mechanisms.A methionine-deficient diet is commonly used for building CLD models.The conversion of key enzymes of methionine metabolism methionine adenosyltransferase(MAT)1 A and MAT2A/MAT2B is closely related to fibrosis and hepatocellular carcinoma.In vivo and in vitro experiments have shown that by intervening related enzymes or downstream metabolites to interfere with methionine metabolism,the liver injuries could be reduced.Recently,methionine supplementation has gradually attracted the attention of many clinical researchers.Most researchers agree that adequate methionine supplementation can help reduce liver damage.Retrospective analysis of recently conducted relevant studies is of profound significance.This paper reviews the latest achievements related to methionine metabolism and CLD,from molecular mechanisms to clinical research,and provides some insights into the future direction of basic and clinical research.

The Universal Soil Loss Equation model is often used to improve soil resource conservation by monitoring and forecasting soil erosion.This study tested a novel method to determine the cover and management factor(C)of this model by coupling the leaf area index(LAI)and soil basal respiration(SBR)to more accurately estimate a soil erosion map for a typical region with red soil in Hetian,Fujian Province,China.The spatial distribution of the LAI was obtained using the normalized difference vegetation index and was consistent with the LAI observed in the field(R^2=0.66).The spatial distribution of the SBR was obtained using the Carnegie-Ames-Stanford Approach model and verified by soil respiration field observations(R^2=0.51).Correlation analyses and regression models suggested that the LAI and SBR could reasonably reflect the structure of the forest canopy and understory vegetation,respectively.Finally,the C-factor was reconstructed using the proposed forest vegetation structure factor(Cs),which considers the effect of the forest canopy and shrub and litter layers on reducing rainfall erosion.The feasibility of this new method was thoroughly verified using runoff plots(R2=0.55).The results demonstrated that Cs may help local governments understand the vital role of the structure of the vegetation layer in limiting soil erosion and provide a more accurate large-scale quantification of the C-factor for soil erosion.

Background and Aims:Naringenin is an anti-inflammatory flavonoid that has been studied in chronic liver disease.The mechanism specific to its antifibrosis activity needs further investigation This study was to focused on the cyclic guanosine monophosphate-adenosine monophosphate synthase(cGAS)pathway in hepatic stellate cells and clarified the antifibrosis mechanism of naringenin.Methods:The relationship between the cGAS-stimulator of interferon genes(STING)pathway and liver fibrosis was analyzed using the Gene Expression Omnibus database.Histopathology,immunohistochemistry,fluorescence staining,Western blotting and polymerase chain reaction were performed to assess gene and protein expression levels associated with the cGAS pathway in clinical liver tissue samples and mouse livers.Molecular docking was performed to evaluate the relationship between naringenin and cGAS,and western blotting was performed to study the expression of inflammatory factors downstream of cGAS in vitro.Results:Clinical database analyses showed that the cGAS-STING pathway is involved in the occurrence of chronic liver disease.Naringenin ameliorated liver injury and liver fibrosis,decreased collagen deposition and cGAS expression,and inhibited inflammation in carbon tetrachloride(CCl4)-treated mice.Molecular docking found that cGAS may be a direct target of naringenin.Consistent with the in vivo results,we verified the inhibitory effect of naringenin on activated hepatic stellate cells(HSCs).By using the cGAS-specific agonist double-stranded(ds)DNA,we showed that naringenin attenuated the activation of cGAS and its inflammatory factors affected by dsDNA.We verified that naringenin inhibited the cGAS-STING pathway,thereby reducing the secretion of inflammatory factors by HSCs to ameliorate liver fibrosis.Conclusions:Interrupting the cGAS-STING pathway helped reverse the fibrosis process.Naringenin has potential as an antihepatic fibrosis drug.

Background and Aims:Recognition of excessive activa-tion of hepatic stellate cells(HSCs)in liver fibrosis prompt-ed us to investigate the regulatory mechanisms of HSCs.We aimed to examine the role of O-GlcNAcylation modifica-tion of alanine,serine,cysteine transporter 2(ASCT2)in HSCs and liver fibrosis.Methods:The expression of O-Glc-NAcylation modification in fibrotic mice livers and activated HSCs was analyzed by western blotting.Immunoprecipita-tion was used to assess the interaction of ASCT2 and O-Glc-NAc transferase(OGT).In addition,ASCT2 protein stability was assayed after cycloheximide(CHX)treatment.The O-GlcNAcylation site of ASCT2 was predicted and mutated by site-directed mutagenesis.Real-time PCR,immunofluores-cence,kit determinations and Seahorse assays were used to clarify the effect of ASCT2 O-GlcNAcylation on HSC glu-taminolysis and HSC activation.Western blotting,immuno-chemistry,and immunohistofluorescence were used to ana-lyze the effect of ASCT2 O-GlcNAcylation in vivo.Results:We observed significantly increased O-GlcNAcylation modi-fication of ASCT2.ASCT2 was found to interact with OGT to regulate ASCT2 stability.We predicted and confirmed that O-GlcNAcylation of ASCT2 at Thr122 site resulted in HSCs activation.We found Thr122 O-GlcNAcylation of ASCT2 me-diated membrane trafficking of glutamine transport and attenuated HSC glutaminolysis.Finally,we validated the expression and function of ASCT2 O-GlcNAcylation after in-jection of AAV8-ASCT2 shRNA in CCl4-induced liver fibrosis mice in vivo.Conclusions:Thr122 O-GlcNAcylation regu-lation of ASCT2 resulted in stability and membrane traf-ficking-mediated glutaminolysis in HSCs and liver fibrosis.Further studies are required to assess its role as a putative therapeutic target.

儿童白内障手术步骤较多，儿童眼的解剖学特点及白内障的不同状态常常需要变更手术操作技术，术中、术后并发症较成人多，术后随访观察须严密，视力重建需要家长的长期配合与付出，这些都使儿童白内障的治疗具有挑战性。近年来，儿童白内障手术并发症的研究领域有了以下更新：23G及25G玻璃体切割机用于儿童白内障手术，使儿童白内障摘出术实现无缝线；多中心、前瞻性随机对照研究——美国婴儿无晶状体跟的治疗项目（IATS）的近期、中期研究结果已经逐步报道；大样本、远期观察的回顾性研究对儿童白内障术后眼内出血、眼内炎、青光眼相关不良事件、视轴再混浊、视网膜脱离等并发症及其结局都有了新的认识。本文回顾近年相关文献，就儿童白内障术中、术后并发症进行综述，帮助临床医师进一步理解和重视儿童白内障手术并发症及其防范、随访及处理。
