The Tongkuangyu porphyry copper deposit in the Zhongtiao Mountains, China, is tectonically located on the southern margin of the North China platform and on the northern margin of the Late Archean Zhongtiaoshan intracontinental rift basin. The deposit occurs in a copper-bearing formation of tuffaceous variegated sandshale-K-rich bimodal volcanic rocks of the Tongkuangyu Formation of the Late Archean Jiangxian Group, and the orebodies are localized in a transition portion between tuffaceous variegated sandshale and bimodal volcanic rocks. Microwave radiation has received extensive attention due to its significant thermal and nonthermal effects, and the development of MW-based denitrification in flue gas has become one of the most promising methods to avoid the defects of ammonia escape, high temperature and cost in traditional SCR. This review introduces the thermal and non-thermal effects of microwaves and divides MW-based denitrification methods into MW reduction and oxidation denitrification, systematically summarizes these denitrification methods, including MW discharge reduction, MW-induced catalytic reduction using active carbon, molecular sieves, metal oxides(transition metals, perovskites, etc.), MW-induced oxidation denitrification with and without additional oxidant, and discusses their removal pathway and mechanism. Finally, several research prospects and directions regarding the development of microwave-based denitrification methods are provided.

The effects of glucocorticoid (GC) hormones are mediated via an intracellular receptor, the glucocorticoid receptor (GR). It has been established that glucocorticoid down-regulate GR. Ginsenosides (GSS) from extract of Panax ginseng have demonstrated glucocorticoid-like activities in homeostasis and regulation of immunity, etc. We hypothesize that ginsenosides might mediate some of their actions by binding to the GR. The present study is aimed to determine whether GSS can act like a GC analog in the activanon of glucocorticoid response element-luciferase activity in HL7702 cells. We found that GSS alone had no effect on the expression of reporter gene, but it enhanced dexamethasone (Dex)-induced transcription of reporter gene. To further explore the effects of GSS, we examined the influence of GSS on the gene and protein expression as well as hormone binding activity of GR by semi-quantitative RT-PCR, Western blot, and radioligand-binding assay, respectively. GSS partially reversed the Dex-induced decrease in GR expression and hormone binding activity with an optimal dose of 25 microg/ ml, implicating a positive regulatory effect of GSS on GR expression and binding activity. Therefore, our result suggests that GSS may reverse partially the dexamethasone-induced down-regulation of glucocorticoid receptor.

Inhibitory effect of recombinant adenovirus carrying melittin gene on hepatocellular carcinoma

Objectives: To search for a new clinical application of melittin (Mel).. treating hepatocellular carcinoma with Mel gene. Methods.. Recombinant adenoviruses carrying the Mel gene and alpha-fetoprotein (AFP) promoter (Ad-rAFP-Mel) were constructed through a bacterial homologous recombinant system. The efficiency of adenovirus-mediated gene transfer and the inhibitory effect of Ad-rAFP-Mel on the proliferation of hepatocarcinoma cells were determined by x-gal stain and MTT assay, respectively. The tumorigenicity of hepatocarcinoma cells transfected by Ad-rAFP-Mel and the antitumor effect of Ad- rAFP-Mel on transplanted tumor in nude mice were detected in vivo. Results: The Mel mRNA was transcribed in BEL-7402 hepatocellular carcinoma cells transducted by Ad-rAFP-Mel. The efficiency of adenovirus-mediated gene transferred to BEL- 7402 cells was 100% when the multiplicity of infection of Ad-rAFP-Mel was 10 in vitro, and was also high in vivo. The inhibitive rates of Ad-rAFP-Meland Ad-rAFP for BEL7402 cells were (66.2±2. 7)% and (2.9±2.3)% (t=30.83, P=6.6×10^-6) by MTT assay. The inhibitive rates of Ad-CMV-Mel for BEL7402, SMMC7721 and L02 cells were (58. 9±9.6)%, (65. 9-1-3. 8)% and (31. 7±1.2)%, respectively, and of Ad-rAFP-Mel were (66. 2-1-2. 7)%, (16. 1±6.6)% and (7. 5±3.3)%, respectively (t= 1.27, P=0.27; t= 11.31, P=3.5×10^-4 ; and t: 12. 12, P=2. 7×10^-4 versus the Ad-CMV-Mel group in the same cells). The tumorigenicity rates of hepatocarcinoma cells transfected by Ad-rAFP-Mel were decreased. A sig- nificant antineoplastic effect was detected on transplanted tumor in nude mice by intratumoral injection of Ad-rAFP-Mel. Conclusions.. Ad-rAFP-Mel can inhibit specifically proliferation of AFP-producing human hepatocarcinoma cells in vitro and in vivo. This suggests that animal toxin gene can be used as an antitumor gene.

Based on the improved supply chain operations reference (SCOR) model, a network-topology structure of cycle quality chain operations reference (CQCOR) model is built up, which realizes the cycle operation by an added quality process of reverse manufacturing. The concept of cycle quality chain management is defined, and its cost structure is analyzed according to positive and reverse quality processes. If the quality level is controlled by the positive quality cost, then the reverse quality cost is a nonlinear function of quality level. All the quality processes are connected by acceptable probability, so the optimized objective function is described as a fuzzy multi-objective function comprising maximum of the total profit of quality chain, maximum of the recycling efficiency and maximum of environment protection and source saving. The effects of different quality policies on fuzzy rules are compared by a simplified example. When the policy of recycling efficiency dominates, the total quality profit will be less than that of maximum profit policy.

Evaluation of seedling emergence is a common method used to investigate the vegetation restoration potential of soil seed banks. Previous studies have primarily been conducted in the laboratory using a single water treatment. However, when this method is used, it is dificult to optimize the water conditions for the needs of the individual species of seeds. Additionally, the germination conditions for seedlings in the laboratory are different from those in nature. To avoid these issues, we conducted experiments to activate soil seed banks in the field using different water treatments. The results revealed that: (1) generally, the number of species and quantity of seedlings decrease gradually as the water supply decreases, but that for several species most seedlings did not appear when they were provided with the greatest amount of water, and (2) different species present different germination characteristics. According to the rate of seedling emergence, the species were classified into two germination types: fast and slow. In addition, each species also had a unique climax period of emergence, which was delayed with a decrease in water supply. Therefore, the amount of water provided is vital to seedling emergence, and various water treatments should be evaluated when studying the characteristics of different species in soil seed banks. For the lower reaches of the Tarim River, the optimal soil moisture for seedling emergence ranged from 23% to 28%, and seedling conservation should be strengthened during the climax period of emergence (9-15 days from the day when water became available). These results highlight the importance of the use of an optimal water treatment and demonstrate the danger of using a single treatment method. Our results also emphasize the need for a preliminary study prior to conducting studies to evaluate seed banks.

Sperm cryopreservation in liquid nitrogen is a promising technique for germplasm conservation. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of two month cryopreservation on the quality of post-thaw sperm in red seabream(Pagrus major).The collected sperm were diluted 1:3 in Cortland extender containing 15% DMSO,placed in 2 mL cryovials,and frozen from 0oC to-150℃ at a cooling rate of 20℃/min by a Kryo-360-1.7 programmable freezer,then plunged into liquid nitrogen. After two month storage,the cryopreserved sperm were thawed in 40 oC water *** the present study,we used electron microscopy and flow cytometry to examine changes in ultrastructure, membrane integrity and mitochondrial function of the post-thaw sperm frozen with 15% *** the ultrastructural investigation,about 50% to 60% of spermatozoa showed normal morphology,10% to 20% were slightly damaged in some way,such as swelling or rupture of head,mid-piece and tail region as well as mitochondria,and the rest were damaged *** outcome was also obtained from flow cytomerical analysis,with rhodamine 123 to assess mitochondrial function and propidium iodide to assess plasma membrane *** 60% to 80% displayed both an intact membrane and an undamaged mitochondrion ***,the percentage of motile post-thaw sperm and fertilization capacity were also *** data from ultrastructural investigation and flow cytomertric analysis are in agreement with motility,fertilization rate and hatching *** this research, our results demonstrated that the method established for the cryopreservation of red seabream sperm should be of great value for the establishment of spermatozoa *** of ultrastructure investigation in combination with flow cytomerical analysis to evaluate the viability and mitochondrial function may be very valuable for the cryodamage assessment to fish sperm.

陶瓷涂层包括化学气相沉积碳化硅(CVD-SiC)，等离子喷涂沉积氧化铝(PSD-Al203)，等离子喷射沉积氧化铬(PSD-Cr203)等，这些陶瓷涂层具有特殊的结构、物理和力学性能。目前还没能很好地建立起将这些陶瓷涂层精确有效地加工到所需要的质量要求的加工方法。在本文中，为了研究用ELID方法和旋转磨削方法在加工这些陶瓷时的特殊方面，进行了对比试验。对两种方法所产生的表面粗糙度的稳定性，材料性能对磨削结果的影响，磨削后陶瓷涂层的显微结构等都进行了详细分析。
