Prognosis of Liver Transplantation for Hepatocellular Carcinoma in Terms of Different Criteria:A Single Center Experience

Objective Patients undergoing liver transplantation for hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)within the Milan criteria have an excellent outcome.We developed a program to analyze and prove that the Milan criteria can be expanded safely and effectively.Methods We retrospectively reviewed 117 HCC patients treated with liver transplantation between January 2013 and December 2017.Patients were grouped according to the Milan criteria,the University of California,San Francisco(UCSF)criteria,Up-to-seven criteria and Hangzhou criteria.Tumor-free and overall survival rates were investigated with a Kaplan-Meier analysis.Multivariable regression Cox models produced survival estimates for the patients that exceeded the Milan criteria.Results The 1-year,3-year and 5-year overall survival rates of patients fulfilling the Milan criteria(n=44)were 100%,87.5%and 78.9%,respectively.Compared with the Milan criteria,the UCSF criteria(n=50),Up-to-seven criteria(n=51)and Hangzhou criteria(n=86)provided an expansion of 13.6%,15.9%and 95.9%,respectively.The 1-year,3-year and 5-year overall survival rates of patients fulfilling UCSF criteria,Up-to-seven criteria and Hangzhou criteria were 96.0%,84.9%,76.9%;96.1%,85.2%,77.6%and 97.7%,83.9%,66.7%,respectively(P>0.05).Multifactor Cox regression showed that tumor diameter and microvascular invasion were independent risk factors for survival in patients that exceeded the Milan criteria.Conclusion Compared with the Milan criteria,the Hangzhou criteria can safely expand the scope of liver transplantation for HCC to a certain extent.By contrast,the UCSF criteria and Up-to-seven criteria result in a limited number of patients which need further expansion.Tumor diameter and microvascular invasion were the independent risk factors for survival in patients that exceeded the Milan criteria.

Protective Effects of Different Hypothermal Preservation Solutions on Structure and Function of Isolated Rat Arteries

Objective:With the increasing application of vascular reconstruction in surgical procedures,allogeneic vessels are becoming more popular in clinical practice due to their abundant sources,precise diameter matching,improved histocompatibility,and higher long-term patency rate.This study aimed to investigate the protective effect of various preservation solutions on the function and structure of the isolated rat abdominal aorta preserved under hypothermal conditions.Methods:The study utilized a total of 150 Sprague-Dawley(SD)rats,with 144 rats allocated to the experimental groups and 6 rats allocated to the control groups.The abdominal aorta of the rats was chosen as the subject of our research.The aorta in the experimental groups were randomly assigned to 4 groups:University of Wisconsin(UW)solution group,histidine-tryptophan-ketoglutarate(HTK)solution group,normal saline(NS)group,and sodium lactate Ringer's solution(RS)group.Samples were subjected to examination after preservation periods of 1 day,3 days,5 days,7 days,14 days,30 days,and 90 days.Evaluation of vascular physiological function involved detecting and assessing vasoconstriction ability and measuring cell viability through the MTT test.Evaluation of the vascular wall structure involved tension tolerance tests and pathological staining.Results:The pathogen-positive rate in the HTK group and NS group at 1 month was 16.7%.Regarding the vascular skeleton structure,both the UW group and HTK group exhibited intact structures after 2 weeks of preservation,with slightly edematous collagen and elastic fibers,which was significantly better than that of the NS group and RS group.In terms of cell activity and contractile function,all preservation groups showed similar effects within 2 weeks.However,after 2 weeks,the UW group showed the most favorable preservation effect(Prent groups exhibited similar effects within 1 week.However,after 2 weeks,the UW group showed the best preservation effect(P<0.05).Conclusion:All 4 types o

随着上车身引起的风噪声逐渐得到控制,电动汽车车底高速气流对车内噪声的影响逐渐凸显。为了解决纯电动汽车底盘风噪声凸显的问题,采用大涡模拟(LES)的方法,通过分析底盘流场结构和表面脉动压力级,对某电动汽车底盘区域的高速气流噪声源进行了研究。研究表明,底盘的车轮区域成为电动汽车底盘风噪声的主要来源,在汽车底部加装挡风板和侧裙,可以有效改善降低电动汽车的底盘风噪源强度性能。

Urea-induced interfacial engineering enabling highly reversible aqueous zinc-ion battery

Aqueous zinc-ion batteries（AZIBs） have been regarded as prospective rechargeable energy storage devices because of the high theoretical capacity and low redox potential of Zn metal.However,the uncontrollable formation of dendrites and the water-induced side reactions at the Zn/electrolyte interface,and the poor reversibility under a high current density(> 2 mA·cm-2) and large area capacity(>2 mAh·cm-2) still limit the practical applications of AZIBs.Therefore,a strategy that can overcome these difficulties is urgently needed.Here,we introduce an environmentally friendly and low-cost additive,namely urea,to the electrolyte of AZIBs to induce uniform Zn deposition and suppress the side reactions.Measurements of the adsorption behavior,electrochemical characterization,and observations of the morphology revealed the interfacial modification induced by urea on the Zn/electrolyte interface,demonstrating its huge potential in AZIBs.Consequently,the long-term cycling stability（over2100 h） of a Zn/Zn symmetric cell under a high current density of 5 mA·cm-2and a capacity of 5 mAh·cm-2was achieved with a 1 mol·L-1ZnSO4electrolyte with the urea additive.Additionally,the assembled Zn/NH4V4O10full cell with urea exhibited excellent cycling performance and an outstanding average Coulombic efficiency of 99.98%.These results indicate that this is a low-cost and effective additive strategy for realizing highly reversible AZIBs.

Changes in global land surface frozen ground and freeze-thaw processes during 1950-2020 based on ERA5-Land data

Frozen ground(FG)plays an important role in global and regional climates and environments through changes in land freeze-thaw processes,which have been conducted mainly in different regions.However,the changes in land surface freeze-thaw processes under climate change on a global scale are still unclear.Based on ERA5-Land hourly land skin temperature data,this study evaluated changes in the global FG area,global land surface first freeze date(FFD),last freeze date(LFD)and frost-free period(FFP)from 1950 to 2020.The results show that the current FG areas(1991-2020 mean)in the Northern Hemisphere(NH),Southern Hemisphere(SH),and globe are 68.50×10^(6),9.03×10^(6),and 77.53×10^(6)km^(2),which account for 72.4%,26.8%,and 60.4%of the exposed land(excluding glaciers,ice sheets,and water bodies)in the NH,SH and the globe,respectively;further,relative to 1951-1980,the FG area decreased by 1.9%,8.8%,and 2.8%,respectively.Seasonally FG at lower latitudes degrades to intermittently FG,and intermittently FG degrades to non-frozen ground,which caused the global FG boundary to retreat to higher latitudes from 1950 to 2020.The annual FG areas in the NH,SH,and globe all show significant decreasing trends(prend of FFP in the NH(1.34 d per decade)is larger than that in the SH(1.15 d per decade).

Compliance motion and footstep adjustment are active balance control strategies from learning human subconscious behaviors.The force estimation without direct end-actuator force measurement and the optimal footsteps based on complex analytical calculation are still challenging tasks for elementary and kid-size position-controlled robots.In this paper,an online compliant controller with Gravity Projection Observer(GPO),which can express the external force condition of perturbations by the estimated Projection of Gravity(PoG)with estimation covariance,is proposed for the realization of disturbance absorption,with which the robustness of the humanoid contact with environments can be maintained.The fuzzy footstep planner based on capturability analysis is proposed,and the Model Predictive Control(MPC)is applied to generate the desired steps.The fuzzification rules are well-designed and give the corresponding control output responding to complex and changeable external disturbances.To validate the presented methods,a series of experiments on a real humanoid robot are conducted.The results verify the effectiveness of the proposed balance control framework.

Event-triggered H_(∞) consensus control for input-constrained multi-agent systems via reinforcement learning

This article presents an event-triggered H_(∞) consensus control scheme using reinforcement learning (RL) for nonlinear second-order multi-agent systems (MASs) with control constraints. First, considering control constraints, the constrained H_(∞) consensus problem is transformed into a multi-player zero-sum game with non-quadratic performance functions. Then, an event-triggered control method is presented to conserve communication resources and a new triggering condition is developed for each agent to make the triggering threshold independent of the disturbance attenuation level. To derive the optimal controller that can minimize the cost function in the case of worst disturbance, a constrained Hamilton–Jacobi–Bellman (HJB) equation is defined. Since it is difficult to solve analytically due to its strongly non-linearity, reinforcement learning (RL) is implemented to obtain the optimal controller. In specific, the optimal performance function and the worst-case disturbance are approximated by a time-triggered critic network;meanwhile, the optimal controller is approximated by event-triggered actor network. After that, Lyapunov analysis is utilized to prove the uniformly ultimately bounded (UUB) stability of the system and that the network weight errors are UUB. Finally, a simulation example is utilized to demonstrate the effectiveness of the control strategy provided.

The data analysis of blasting sites has always been the research goal of relevant researchers.The rise of mobile blasting robots has aroused many researchers’interest in machine learning methods for target detection in the field of blasting.Serverless Computing can provide a variety of computing services for people without hardware foundations and rich software development experience,which has aroused people’s interest in how to use it in the field ofmachine learning.In this paper,we design a distributedmachine learning training application based on the AWS Lambda platform.Based on data parallelism,the data aggregation and training synchronization in Function as a Service(FaaS)are effectively realized.It also encrypts the data set,effectively reducing the risk of data leakage.We rent a cloud server and a Lambda,and then we conduct experiments to evaluate our applications.Our results indicate the effectiveness,rapidity,and economy of distributed training on FaaS.
