Geometric error,mainly due to imperfect geometry and dimensions of machine components,is one of the major error sources of machine *** that geometric error has significant effects on the machining quality of manufactured parts,it has been a popular topic for academic and industrial research for many years.A great deal of research work has been carried out since the 1970s for solving the problem and improving the machining *** have studied how to measure,detect,model,identify,reduce,and compensate the geometric *** paper presents a thorough review of the latest research activities and gives an overview of the state of the art in understanding changes in machine tool performance due to geometric *** advances in measuring the geometrical errors of machine tools are summarized,and different kinds of error identification methods of translational axes and rotation axes are illustrated ***,volumetric geometric error modeling,tracing,and compensation techniques for five-axis machine tools are emphatically ***,research challenges in order to improve the volumetric accuracy of machine tools are also highlighted.

As a cornerstone of the national economy,the iron and steel industry generates a significant amount of sintering dust containing both valuable lead resources and deleterious *** is a promising technique for lead recovery from sintering dust,but efficient separation from Fe_(2)O_(3) is still *** study investigated the cooperative effect of sodium lauryl sulfate(SLS,C_(12)H_(25)SO_(4)Na)and sodium pyrophosphate(SPP,Na_(4)P_(2)O_(7))on the selective flotation of lead oxide minerals(PbOHCl and PbSO_(4))from hematite(Fe_(2)O_(3)).Optimal flotation conditions were first identified,resulting in high recovery of lead oxide minerals while inhibiting Fe_(2)O_(3) *** potential measurements,Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FT-IR)analysis,adsorption capacity analysis,and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS)studies offer insights into the adsorption behaviors of the reagents on mineral surfaces,revealing strong adsorption of SLS on PbOHCl and PbSO_(4) surfaces and remarkable adsorption of SPP on Fe_(2)O_(3).The proposed model of reagent adsorption on mineral surfaces illustrates the selective adsorption behavior,highlighting the pivotal role of reagent adsorption in the separation *** findings contribute to the efficient and environmentally friendly utilization of iron ore sintering dust for lead recovery,paving the way for sustainable resource management in the iron and steel industry.

Acellular dermal matrix(ADM)shows promise for cartilage regeneration and ***,an effective decellularization technique that removes cellular components while preserving the extracellular matrix,the transformation of 2D-ADM into a suitable 3D scaffold with porosity and the enhancement of bioactive and biomechanical properties in the 3D-ADM scaffold are yet to be fully *** this study,we present an innovative decellularization method involving 0.125%trypsin and 0.5%SDS and a 1%Triton X-100 solution for preparing ADM and converting 2D-ADM into 3D-ADM *** scaffolds exhibit favorable physicochemical properties,exceptional biocompatibility and significant potential for driving cartilage regeneration in vitro and in *** further enhance the cartilage regeneration potential of 3D-ADM *** incorporated porcine-derived small intestinal submucosa(SIS)for bioactivity and calcium sulfate hemihydrate(CSH)for biomechanical *** resulting 3D-ADM+SIS scaffolds displayed heightened biological activity,while the 3D-ADM+CSH scaffolds notably bolstered biomechanical *** scaffold types showed promise for cartilage regeneration and repair in vitro and in vivo,with considerable improvements observed in repairing cartilage defects within a rabbit articular cartilage *** summary,this research introduces a versatile 3D-ADM scaffold with customizable bioactive and biomechanical properties,poised to revolutionize the field of cartilageregeneration.

The development of effective and sustainable solutions for pleiotropic water purification becomes urgent and *** Fenton-like catalysts for activation of peroxymonosulfate(PMS)to purify organic wastewater show great *** this work,by tuning metal loading with an in-situ polydopamine coating strategy,oxygen vacancy-enriched Co_(3)O_(4) loading on N-doped carbon nanotubes(CNTs)were constructed to enhance PMS activation efficiency for pollutants ***,the obtained modified CNTs afford a well-developed N-containing network structure,which is further endowed with abundant Co(Ⅱ)/Co(Ⅲ)redox cycles and significant metal-carbon *** particular,the surface N doping in CNTs might induce the oriented enrichment of pollutants around the catalyst,which reduces the migration distance and correspondingly improves the utilization of reactive oxidative *** electron transfer efficiency of the catalyst can be further improved by incorporating oxygen vacancy-enriched Co_(3)O_(4).The performance results show that the optimal NC/Co-1 could mineralize 20×10^(-6)of bisphenol A(BPA)by almost 98%in 8 min.A low reaction activation energy(26.05 kJ·mol^(-1))in BPA degradation was demonstrated by the NC/*** importantly,NC/Co-1 can inherit excellent degradation performance towards oxytetracycline,2,4-dichlorophenol,and tetracycline,showing wide practical *** addition,by virtue of the photothermal conversion property,NC/Co-1 achieves an additive function for interfacial solar water evaporation(1.84 kg·m^(-2)·h^(-1),112.51%),showing impressive potential for clean water recovery under complicated environmental pollution conditions.

Rock sheds are widely used to prevent rockfall disasters along roads in mountainous *** improve the capacity of rock sheds for resisting rockfall impact,a sand and expandable polyethylene(EPE)composite cushion was proposed.A series of model experiments of rockfall impact on rock sheds were conducted,and the buried depth of the EPE foam board in the sand layer was *** impact load and dynamic response of the rock shed were *** results show that the maximum impact load and dynamic response of the rock shed roof are all significantly less than those of the sand ***,as the distance between the EPE foam board and rock shed roof decreases,the maximum rockfall impact force and impact pressure gradually decrease,and the maximum displacement,acceleration and strain of the rock shed first decrease and then change *** addition,the vibration acceleration and vertical displacement of the rock shed roof decrease from the centre to the edge and decrease faster along the longitudinal direction than that along the transverse *** conclusion,the buffering effect of the sand-EPE composite cushion is better than that of the pure sand cushion,and the EPE foam board at a depth of 1/3 the thickness of the sand layer is appropriate.

Lithium-sulfur(Li-S)batteries are one of the most promising modern-day energy supply systems because of their high theoretical energy density and low ***,the development of high-energy density Li-S batteries with high loading of flammable sulfur faces the challenges of electrochemical performance degradation owing to the shuttle effect and safety issues related to fire or explosion *** this work,we report a three-dimensional(3D)conductive nitrogen-doped carbon foam supported electrostatic self-assembled MXene-ammonium polyphosphate(NCF-MXene-APP)layer as a heat-resistant,thermally-insulated,flame-retardant,and freestanding host for Li-S batteries with a facile and costeffective synthesis ***,through the use of NCF-MXene-APP hosts that strongly anchor polysulfides,the Li-S batteries demonstrate outstanding electrochemical properties,including a high initial discharge capacity of 1191.6 mA h g^(-1),excellent rate capacity of 755.0 mA h g^(-1)at 1 C,and long-term cycling stability with an extremely low-capacity decay rate of 0.12%per cycle at 2 *** importantly,these batteries can continue to operate reliably under high temperature or flame attack ***,this study provides valuable insights into the design of safe high-performance Li-S batteries.

As conventional communication systems based on classic information theory have closely approached Shannon capacity,semantic communication is emerging as a key enabling technology for the further improvement of communication ***,it is still unsettled on how to represent semantic information and characterise the theoretical limits of semantic-oriented compression and *** this paper,we consider a semantic source which is characterised by a set of correlated random variables whose joint probabilistic distribution can be described by a Bayesian *** give the information-theoretic limit on the lossless compression of the semantic source and introduce a low complexity encoding method by exploiting the conditional *** further characterise the limits on lossy compression of the semantic source and the upper and lower bounds of the rate-distortion *** also investigate the lossy compression of the semantic source with two-sided information at the encoder and decoder,and obtain the corresponding rate distortion *** prove that the optimal code of the semantic source is the combination of the optimal codes of each conditional independent set given the side information.

The phytohormone auxin,and its directional transport through tissues,plays a fundamental role in the development of higher *** polar auxin transport predominantly relies on PIN-FORMED(PIN)auxin ***,PIN polarization is crucial for development,but its evolution during the rise of morpho-logical complexity in land plants remains ***,we performed a cross-species investigation by observing the trafficking and localization of endogenous and exogenous PINs in two bryophytes,Physco-mitrium patens and Marchantia polymorpha,and in theflowering plant Arabidopsis *** confirmed that the GFP fusion did not compromise the auxin export function of all examined PINs by using a radioac-tive auxin export assay and by observing the phenotypic changes in transgenic *** PINs polarize tofilamentous apices,while exogenous Arabidopsis PINs distribute symmetrically on the membrane in both *** the Arabidopsis root epidermis,bryophytic PINs have no defined *** interference revealed a strong cytoskeletal dependence of bryophytic but not Arabidopsis PIN *** divergence of PIN polarization and trafficking is also observed within the bryophyte clade and between tissues of individual *** results collectively reveal the divergence of PIN traf-ficking and polarity mechanisms throughout land plant evolution and the co-evolution of PIN sequence-based and cell-based polarity mechanisms.
