Relationship of nocturnal concentrations of melatonin, gamma-aminobutyric acid and total antioxidants in peripheral blood with insomnia after stroke： study protocol for a prospective non-randomized controlled trial

Melatonin and gamma-aminobutyric acid（GABA） have been shown to regulate sleep. The nocturnal concentrations of melatonin, GABA and total antioxidants may relate to insomnia in stroke patients. In this prospective single-center non-randomized controlled clinical trial performed in the China Rehabilitation Research Center, we analyzed the relationship of nocturnal concentrations of melatonin, GABA and total antioxidants with insomnia after stroke. Patients during rehabilitation of stroke were recruited and assigned to the insomnia group or non-insomnia group. Simultaneously, persons without stroke or insomnia served as normal controls. Each group contained 25 cases. The primary outcome was nocturnal concentrations of melatonin, GABA and total antioxidants in peripheral blood. The secondary outcomes were Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index, Insomnia Severity Index, Epworth Sleepiness Scale, Fatigue Severity Scale, Morningness-Eveningness Questionnaire（Chinese version）, and National Institute of Health Stroke Scale. The relationship of nocturnal concentrations of melatonin, GABA and total antioxidants with insomnia after stroke was analyzed and showed that they were lower in the insomnia group than in the non-insomnia group. The severity of stroke was higher in the insomnia group than in the non-insomnia group. Correlation analysis demonstrated that the nocturnal concentrations of melatonin and GABA were associated with insomnia after stroke. Pathological verification of corticospinal tract Wallerian degeneration in a rat model of brain ischemia

Although neuroimaging is commonly utilized to study Wallerian degeneration, it cannot display Wallerian degeneration early after brain injury. In the present study, we attempted to examine pathologically the process of Wallerian degeneration early after brain injury. Cerebral peduncle demyelination was observed at 3 weeks post brain ischemia, followed by demyelination in the cervical enlargement at 6 weeks. Anterograde tracing of the corticospinal tract with biotinylated dextran amine showed that following serious neurologic deficit, the tracing of the corticospinal tract of the intemal capsule, cerebral peduncle, and cervical enlargement indicated serious Wallerian degeneration.

Preparation and Molecular Structure of (SCZ)(TNPG)·2H_2O

The （SCZ）（TNPG）.2H2O prepared by mixing semicarbazide （SCZ） and trinitrophloroglucinol （TNPG） was characterized by elemental analysis and IR measurement, and its crystal structure was determined by X-ray single-crystal diffraction analysis. The crystal belongs to triclinic,space group P1, （NH2CONHNH3）^＋（C6H2N3O9）^-·2H2O, Mr = 372.23, a = 0.68853（14）, b =0.93966（19）, c = 1.1925（2） nm, α = 67.48（3）, β = 77.56（3）, γ = 78.93（3）°, V = 0.6908（2） nm^3, Z = 2,Dc = 1.789 g/cm^3, Mr = 373.23, F（000） = 384, S = 0.999 and μ（MoKa） = 0.172 mm^-1. The final R and wR are 0.0394 and 0.1057 for 1724 observed reflections with I 〉 2σ（I）. It is concluded that （SCZ）（TNPG） 2H2O is an ionic compound composed of a cation SCZ^＋, an anion TNPG- and two water molecules. The TNPG anion and SCZ^＋ cation are bonded together by electrostatic attraction and hydrogen bonds, and the compound structure is stable. The thermal decomposition of （SCZ）（TNPG） 2H2O was studied by using TG-DTG and DSC techniques with a heating rate of 10 ℃/min, showing the compound contains one endothermic process of dehydrating stage and two intensive exothermic decomposition stages. The enthalpy of exothermic decomposition reaction is 452.31 kJ/mol.

Microstructure and mechanical properties of Cr doped WCoB based cermets by spark plasma sintering and first principle calculation

WCoB based cermet is a potential hard alloy to replace WC-Co cermets with high hardness and corrosion resistance. WCoB based cermets with different Cr doping contents were fabricated by spark plasma sintering in liquid phase sintering stage. The densification behavior, phase composition, microstructure and mechanical properties of Cr doped WCoB cermets were investigated by XRD, EDS and SEM. Due to the lower density of Cr,the density of WCoB cermets decreased with the increasing of Cr doping content. The phase composition consisted of Cr doped WCoB, unreacted W, Co–Cr binary binder phase. When the doping content exceeded11.736 wt%, the Cr enrichment zones appeared, which was harmful to the TRS. The increasing of Cr doping content contributed to the increase of unreacted W phases content and the formation of pores. The maximum value of Vickers hardness was 1751 Hv0.5 at 9.356 wt% Cr doping content. The variation trend was explained by first principle calculation, which is consistent with Hv-Zhou hardness model.

DGMP: Identifying Cancer Driver Genes by Jointing DGCN and MLP from Multi-omics Genomic Data

Identification of cancer driver genes plays an important role in precision oncology research,which is helpful to understand cancer initiation and ***,most existing computational methods mainly used the protein–protein interaction(PPI)networks,or treated the directed gene regulatory networks(GRNs)as the undirected gene–gene association networks to identify the cancer driver genes,which will lose the unique structure regulatory information in the directed GRNs,and then affect the outcome of the cancer driver gene ***,based on the multi-omics pan-cancer data(i.e.,gene expression,mutation,copy number variation,and DNA methylation),we propose a novel method(called DGMP)to identify cancer driver genes by jointing directed graph convolutional network(DGCN)and multilayer perceptron(MLP).DGMP learns the multi-omics features of genes as well as the topological structure features in GRN with the DGCN model and uses MLP to weigh more on gene features for mitigating the bias toward the graph topological features in the DGCN learning *** results on three GRNs show that DGMP outperforms other existing state-of-the-art *** ablation experimental results on the Dawn Net network indicate that introducing MLP into DGCN can offset the performance degradation of DGCN,and jointing MLP and DGCN can effectively improve the performance of identifying cancer driver *** can identify not only the highly mutated cancer driver genes but also the driver genes harboring other kinds of alterations(e.g.,differential expression and aberrant DNA methylation)or genes involved in GRNs with other cancer *** source code of DGMP can be freely downloaded from https://***/NWPU-903PR/DGMP.

Two-Level Stabilized Finite Volume Methods for the Stationary Navier-Stokes Equations

In this work,two-level stabilized finite volume formulations for the 2D steady Navier-Stokes equations are *** methods are based on the local Gauss integration technique and the lowest equal-order finite element ***,the two-level stabilized finite volume methods involve solving one small NavierStokes problem on a coarse mesh with mesh size H,a large general Stokes problem for the Simple and Oseen two-level stabilized finite volume methods on the fine mesh with mesh size h=O(H^(2))or a large general Stokes equations for the Newton two-level stabilized finite volume method on a fine mesh with mesh size h=O(|logh|^(1/2)H^(3)).These methods we studied provide an approximate solution(ue v h,pe v h)with the convergence rate of same order as the standard stabilized finite volume method,which involve solving one large nonlinear problem on a fine mesh with mesh size ***,our methods can save a large amount of computational time.

A foot positioning compensator is developed in this paper for a full-body humanoid to retrieve its balance during continuous *** online Foot Position Compensator(FPC)is designed to improve the robustness of biped walking,which can modify predefined step position and step duration online with sensory *** placement parameters are learned by the FPC based on the Policy Gradient Reinforcement Learning(PGRL)***,the FPC assists the humanoid robot in rejecting external disturbances and recovering the walking position by re-planning the trajectories of walking pattern and the Center of Mass(CoM).An upper body pose control strategy is also presented to further enhance the performance of humanoid robots to overcome strong external *** advantages of this proposed method are that it neither requires prior information about the walking terrain conditions,nor relies on range sensor information for surface topology *** effectiveness of the proposed method is verified via Webots simulation and real experiments on a full-body humanoid NAO robot.

Simultaneous removal of Cr(Ⅵ), Cd, and Pb from aqueous solution by iron sulfide nanoparticles: Influencing factors and interactions of metals

Cadmium(Cd),lead(Pb),and hexavalent chromium(Cr(Ⅵ)) are often found in soils and water affected by metal smelting,chemical manufacturing,and *** this study,synthetic iron sulfide nanoparticles(FeS NPs) were stabilized with carboxymethyl cellulose(CMC) and utilized to remove Cr(Ⅵ),Cd,and Pb from an aqueous *** experiments,a Visual MINTEQ model,scanning electron microscopy(SEM),X-ray diffraction(XRD),and X-ray photoelectron spectrometer(XPS) analysis were used to determine the removal efficiencies,influencing factors,and *** FeS NP suspension simultaneously removed Cr(Ⅵ),Cd,and Pb from an aqueous *** concentrations of Cr(Ⅵ),Cd,and Pb decreased from 50,10,and 50 mg·L^(-1) to 2.5,0.1,and 0.1 mg·L^(-1),*** removal capacities were up to 418,96,and 585 mg per gram of stabilized FeS NPs,*** acidic conditions significantly favored the removal of aqueous Cr(Ⅵ) while the alkaline conditions favored the removal of Cd and *** slightly inhibited the removal of Cr(Ⅵ),but it had no significant influence on the removal of Cd and Pb.A potential mechanism was proposed for the simultaneous removal of Cr(Ⅵ),Cd,and Pb using FeS *** interactions of the three heavy metals involved a cationic bridging effect on Cr(Ⅵ) by Cd,an enhanced adsorption effect on Cd by [Cr,Fe](OH)_3,precipitation of PbCrO_4,and transformation of PbCrO_4 to ***,FeS NPs have a high potential for use in the simultaneous removal of Cr(Ⅵ),Cd,and Pb from contaminated aqueous solutions.
