This paper is concerned with a novel Lyapunovlike functional approach to the stability of sampled-data systems with variable sampling periods. The Lyapunov-like functional has four striking characters compared to usual ones. First, it is time-dependent. Second, it may be discontinuous. Third, not every term of it is required to be positive definite. Fourth, the Lyapunov functional includes not only the state and the sampled state but also the integral of the state. By using a recently reported inequality to estimate the derivative of this Lyapunov functional, a sampled-interval-dependent stability criterion with reduced conservatism is obtained. The stability criterion is further extended to sampled-data systems with polytopic uncertainties. Finally, three examples are given to illustrate the reduced conservatism of the stability criteria.

Selective laser melting(SLM)is a unique additive manufacturing(AM)category that can be used to manufacture mechanical parts.It has been widely used in aerospace and automotive using metal or alloy powder.The build orientation is crucial in AM because it affects the as-built part,including its part accuracy,surface roughness,support structure,and build time and cost.A mechanical part is usually composed of multiple surface features.The surface features carry the production and design knowledge,which can be utilized in SLM fabrication.This study proposes a method to determine the build orientation of multi-feature mechanical parts(MFMPs)in SLM.First,the surface features of an MFMP are recognized and grouped for formulating the particular optimization objectives.Second,the estimation models of involved optimization objectives are established,and a set of alternative build orientations(ABOs)is further obtained by many-objective optimization.Lastly,a multi-objective decision making method integrated by the technique for order of preference by similarity to the ideal solution and cosine similarity measure is presented to select an optimal build orientation from those ABOs.The weights of the feature groups and considered objectives are achieved by a fuzzy analytical hierarchy process.Two case studies are reported to validate the proposed method with numerical results,and the effectiveness comparison is presented.Physical manufacturing is conducted to prove the performance of the proposed method.The measured average sampling surface roughness of the most crucial feature of the bracket in the original orientation and the orientations obtained by the weighted sum model and the proposed method are 15.82,10.84,and 10.62μm,respectively.The numerical and physical validation results demonstrate that the proposed method is desirable to determine the build orientations of MFMPs with competitive results in SLM.

In the analysis of big data,deep learn-ing is a crucial technique.Big data analysis tasks are typically carried out on the cloud since it offers strong computer capabilities and storage areas.Nev-ertheless,there is a contradiction between the open nature of the cloud and the demand that data own-ers maintain their privacy.To use cloud resources for privacy-preserving data training,a viable method must be found.A privacy-preserving deep learning model(PPDLM)is suggested in this research to ad-dress this preserving issue.To preserve data privacy,we first encrypted the data using homomorphic en-cryption(HE)approach.Moreover,the deep learn-ing algorithm’s activation function—the sigmoid func-tion—uses the least-squares method to process non-addition and non-multiplication operations that are not allowed by homomorphic.Finally,experimental re-sults show that PPDLM has a significant effect on the protection of data privacy information.Compared with Non-Privacy Preserving Deep Learning Model(NPPDLM),PPDLM has higher computational effi-ciency.

In this study, gasoline was blended with dimethyl carbonate, ethyl acetate or methyl acetate respectively with four different volume fraction, i.e. 1%, 3%, 5% and 10%. The nitrile-butadiene rubber (NBR), fluorocarbon rubber (FKM), and Silastic were prepared for the immersion tests. To assess the performance of the three ester additives, the changes in the weight and volume of these three elastomers during the immersion tests with different gasoline samples were studied. The results showed that gasoline blended with the ester additives could lead to serious swelling problem for the elastomer materials which were widely used in the vehicle manufacture industry. The seal ability of elastomer materials would also be impaired by being exposed in the ester additives-gasoline blending for a long time.

Macrobrachium nipponense is an economically important freshwater prawn that is often threatened by many aquatic pathogens.In this study,comparative transcriptomic analysis was fi rstly used to explore the transcriptional response of M.nipponense to Aeromonas veronii or Staphylococcus aureus stimulation.A total of 400.19 million clean reads were obtained and assembled into 56944 unigenes with an average length of 1253 bp.A total of 1857 diff erentially expressed genes were found after A.veronii infection,including 677 genes that were up-regulated and 1180 genes that were down-regulated,while 1061 signifi cant diff erentially expressed genes were identifi ed after S.aureus infection,including 390 up-regulated and 671 down-regulated genes.Many immune-related genes including Spaetzle,prophenoloxidase activating factor,C-type lectin,anti-lipopolysaccharide factor,and inhibitor of apoptosis 2 protein were commonly up-regulated after A.veronii or S.aureus infection.This study will enrich our understanding of the immune response to gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria infection in crustaceans.

2022 has seen continuous release of energy policies.Influenced by changes in domestic and international situations such as the COVID-19 pandemic,the Ukraine crisis,the European energy crisis,the China-US game,and climate change,Chinese central government has attached great importance to energy security.The 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and the Central Economic Work Conference made important instructions on the development of China’s energy,which reflect the systematicness and synergy of China’s energy security concept.A series of“14th Five-Year Plan”and medium to long-term special energy development plans have been successively issued.The“Dual-Carbon”1+N policy system has been basically established.The energy field is of paramount importance to achieving carbon peak and carbon neutrality;thus,reform and protection policies have been intensively released,and the construction of a national unified energy market has made great progress,making overall energy security and green development become the main policy themes.For oil and gas companies,opportunities outweigh challenges.They should follow the national policies,make good use of resource and technological advantages,continue to consolidate the main business of oil and gas production,develop emerging businesses and accelerate green,low-carbon transformation.

Screening and identification of functional bacterial attachment genes in aerobic granular sludge

The screening and identification of attachment genes is important to exploring the formation mechanism of biofilms at the gene level.It is helpful to the development of key culture technologies for aerobic granular sludge(AGS).In this study,genome-wide sequencing and gene editing were employed for the first time to investigate the effects and functions of attachment genes in AGS.With the help of whole-genome analysis,ten attachment genes were screened from thirteen genes,and the efficiency of gene screening was greatly improved.Then,two attachment genes were selected as examples to further confirm the gene functions by constructing gene-knockout recombinant mutants of Stenotrophomonas maltophilia;when the two attachment genes were knocked out,the attachment potential was reduced by 50.67%and 43.93%,respectively.The results provide a new theoretical principle and efficient method for the development of AGS from the perspective of attachment genes.

Single femtosecond laser beam induced nanograting structure in transparent media has attracted extensive attention in many fields of science and technology in the past decades.Considering the excellent physicochemical properties and promising applications,it will continue to be a hot topic in the field of laser-matter interaction in the future.Over the recent ten years,both fundamental research and practical application have gained tremendous advances.We have witnessed the finding of novel fresh phenomena,imaginative physical models and promising technologies related to femtosecond laser induced nanogratings in transparent materials.However,despite those achievements,numerous issues related to mechanism,material dependence and process are still far from completely solved.This review will focus on recent research progress including basic properties,theory models,control methods and potential applications.Achievements in recent five years are discussed in detail and several core issues are specially commented.The future developing trend is also prospected.©2019 The Chinese Ceramic Society.

Alzheimer’s disease(AD)is the most common neurodegenerative disease in the elderly worldwide.However,the complexity of AD pathogenesis leads to discrepancies in the understanding of this disease,and may be the main reason for the failure of AD drug development.Fortunately,many ongoing preclinical and clinical studies will continually open up avenues to unravel disease mechanisms and guide strategies for AD diagnosis and drug development.For example,immunotherapeutic strategies targeting amyloid-β(Aβ)and tau proteins were once deemed almost certainly effective in clinical treatment due to the excellent preclinical results.However,the repeated failures of clinical trials on vaccines and humanized anti-Aβand anti-tau monoclonal antibodies have resulted in doubts on this strategy.Recently,a new anti-Aβmonoclonal antibody(Aducanumab)has been approved by the US Food and Drug Administration,which brings us back to the realization that immunotherapy strategies targeting Aβmay be still promising.Meanwhile,immunotherapies based on other targets such as tau,microglia and gut-brain axis are also under development.Further research is still needed to clarify the forms and epitopes of targeted proteins to improve the accuracy and effectiveness of immunotherapeutic drugs.In this review,we focus on the immunotherapies based on Aβ,tau and microglia and their mechanisms of action in AD.In addition,we present up-to-date advances and future perspectives on immunotherapeutic strategies for AD.
