Robust multi-sensor image matching based on normalized self-similarity region descriptor

Multi-modal image matching is crucial in aerospace applications because it can fully exploit the complementary and valuable information contained in the amount and diversity of remote sensing images.However,it remains a challenging task due to significant non-linear radiometric,geometric differences,and noise across different sensors.To improve the performance of heterologous image matching,this paper proposes a normalized self-similarity region descriptor to extract consistent structural information.We first construct the pointwise self-similarity region descriptor based on the Euclidean distance between adjacent image blocks to reflect the structural properties of multi-modal images.Then,a linear normalization approach is used to form Modality Independent Region Descriptor(MIRD),which can effectively distinguish structural features such as points,lines,corners,and flat between multi-modal images.To further improve the matching accuracy,the included angle cosine similarity metric is adopted to exploit the directional vector information of multi-dimensional feature descriptors.The experimental results show that the proposed MIRD has better matching accuracy and robustness for various multi-modal image matching than the state-of-the-art methods.MIRD can effectively extract consistent geometric structure features and suppress the influence of SAR speckle noise using non-local neighboring image blocks operation,effectively applied to various multi-modal image matching.

lithium niobate thin film frequency doubler has extensive applications in the preparation of classical and quantum sources.In this study,we successfully fabricated microdisk resonators with a quality factor of 2.2×10^(5) in reverse-polarization dual-layer x-cut lithium niobate for the first time.Based on the modal phase matching condition,efficient second harmonic generation with a record normalized conversion efficiency of~56000%W-1 and cascaded third harmonic generation with an efficiency of~6500%W-2 were obtained in the microdisk resonator.Compared with the periodically poled lithium niobate microcavity,the complex domain structure preparation processes are avoided.Our work provides a scheme for achieving highly efficient second-order nonlinear effects in non-periodically poled microcavities.

Objective This study aimed to efficiently reduce the release of radon from water bodies to protect the environment.Methods Based on the sizes of the experimental setup and modular float,computational fluid dynamics(CFD)was used to assess the impact of the area coverage rate,immersion depth,diffusion coefficient,and radon transfer velocity at the gas–liquid interface on radon migration and exhalation of radon-containing water.Based on the numerical simulation results,an estimation model for the radon retardation rate was constructed.The effectiveness of the CFD simulation was evaluated by comparing the experimental and simulated variation values of the radon retardation rate with the coverage area rates.Results The effect of radon transfer velocity on radon retardation in water bodies was minor and insignificant according to the appropriate value;therefore,an estimation model of the radon retardation rate of the coverage of a radon-containing water body was constructed using the synergistic impacts of three factors:area coverage rate,immersion depth,and diffusion coefficient.The deviation between the experimental and simulated results was<4.3%.Conclusion Based on the numerical simulation conditions,an estimation model of the radon retardation rate of covering floats in water bodies under the synergistic effect of multiple factors was obtained,which provides a reference for designing covering floats for radon retardation in radoncontaining water.

The use of light-induced micro-motors or micro-propellers,showcasing non-contact and non-damaging characteristics,is garnering increased attention in biomedical,micro-machine,and environmental fields.The High-order Poincaré(HOP)beam,as a vector beam,provides a controllable driving force with adjustable orbital angular momentum and spin angular momentum.In this study,we present the spin of a self-assembled micro-propeller structure propelled by the HOP beam,enabling flexible control over rotation velocity and direction.Our findings reveal that modifications to the total angular momentum of the driving beam field or alterations in the micro-propeller blade structure can influence rotation velocity.This research offers an efficient and versatile approach for applications in optical micromanipulation and micromachinery.

Background Deep convolutional neural networks have garnered considerable attention in numerous machine learning applications,particularly in visual recognition tasks such as image and video analyses.There is a growing interest in applying this technology to diverse applications in medical image analysis.Automated three dimensional Breast Ultrasound is a vital tool for detecting breast cancer,and computer-assisted diagnosis software,developed based on deep learning,can effectively assist radiologists in diagnosis.However,the network model is prone to overfitting during training,owing to challenges such as insufficient training data.This study attempts to solve the problem caused by small datasets and improve model detection performance.Methods We propose a breast cancer detection framework based on deep learning(a transfer learning method based on cross-organ cancer detection)and a contrastive learning method based on breast imaging reporting and data systems(BI-RADS).Results When using cross organ transfer learning and BIRADS based contrastive learning,the average sensitivity of the model increased by a maximum of 16.05%.Conclusion Our experiments have demonstrated that the parameters and experiences of cross-organ cancer detection can be mutually referenced,and contrastive learning method based on BI-RADS can improve the detection performance of the model.

Under the core guideline of creating a reading response that is the same on both sides of the native and target readers,Eugene A.Nida puts his translation theory in form of functional equivalence.Thus translation becomes a task of reproduction of providing in the target language the closest version that is natural and idiomatic in style,context and semantics.Due to various reasons,creative translations can be made to fulfill that purpose.The second thought and the thorough manipulation of words and expressions help bridge the discrepancy in comprehending the source language and the translated one,whose requirements literal and traditional ways of handling translation may fail to meet.

OBJECTIVE:To explore the mechanism of the Chinese medicine Cigu Xiaozhi prescription(慈菇消脂方,CGXZ)in the treatment of the non-alcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD)by detoxification and phlegm-reducing,the effect of CGXZ prescription on ceramide-mediated lipid apoptosis in Hep G2 cells with NAFLD.METHODS:The experiment was randomly divided into 6groups:normal control group,model group,CGXZ prescription medicated serum high,medium,and low dose groups,and pioglitazone positive control group.Using 500μmol/L free fatty acid(FFA)mixture to induce Hep G2 cells to establish NAFLD cell model,respectively,with 2%,4%,and 6%concentration of CGXZ prescription medicated serum intervention for 24 h.The changes in organelles and lipid droplet accumulation were observed under the electron microscope.Furthermore,Td T-mediated d UTP Nick-End Labeling method was used to assay hepatocyte apoptosis;Biochemical determination of glutamic-pyruvic transaminase,glutamic oxalacetic transaminase,triglycerides,and FFA levels in Hep G2cells;the content of ceramide was determined by highperformance thin-layer chromatography.Finally,Western Blot and quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction(q RT-PCR)were used to determine the protein and gene expression levels,such as inducible nitric oxide synthase(i NOS),nuclear factorκB(NF-κB),B cell lymphoma 2(Bcl-2)and Bcl-2-associated X(Bax).RESULTS:Under the electron microscope,the cells in the model group showed moderate-to-severe steatosis,and apoptotic bodies could be seen.The model group had greater improvements in the apoptosis rate(P0.05).Compared with the model group,the levels of ceramide C2 and FFA(Plitazone positive control group were significantly decreased

It has been acknowledged by Chinese translators that in translating English puns the center should be put on the thorough comprehension of the original expression that more often than not has more than one meanings and the flexible handling of conversion from the native language to the target one. literal translation will often be impossible, annotation redundant, and the restructuring and remaking of new ways that create and maintain balance or similarity in function and value will be more preferred as a possible way-out for pun-translation. Examples attached are from the writer of this article who is also the translator of a published historical book where punning can be found.
