In situ tracking of the lithiation and sodiation process of disodium terephthalate as anodes for rechargeable batteries by Raman spectroscopy

Organic compounds represent an appealing group of electrode materials for rechargeable batteries due to their merits of biomass,sustainability,environmental friendliness,and *** terephthalate(Na_(2)C_(8)H_(4)O_(4),Na_(2)TP),an organic salt with a theoretical capacity of 255 mAh·g^(-1),is electroactive towards both lithium and ***,its electrochemical energy storage(EES)process has not been directly observed via in situ characterization techniques and the underlying mechanisms are still under ***,in situ Raman spectroscopy was employed to track the de/lithiation and de/sodiation processes of *** appearance and then disappearance of the–COOLi Raman band at 1625 cm^(-1) during the de/lithiation,and the increase and then decrease of the–COONa Raman band at 1615 cm^(-1) during the de/sodiation processes of Na2TP elucidate the one-step with the 2Li+or 2Na+transfer *** also found that the inferior cycling stability of Na2TP as an anode for sodium-ion batteries(SIBs)than lithium-ion batteries(LIBs)could be due to the larger ion radium of Na+than Li+,which results in larger steric resistance and polarization during *** Na2TP,therefore,shows greater changes in spectra during de/sodiation than de/*** expect that our findings could provide a reference for the rational design of organic compounds for EES.

Modulation of charge in C_(9)N_(4) monolayer for a highcapacity hydrogen storage as a switchable strategy

Developing advanced hydrogen storage materials with high capacity and efficient reversibility is a crucial aspect for utilizing hydrogen source as a promising alternate to fossil *** this paper,we have systematically investigated the hydrogen storage properties of neutral and negatively charged C_(9)N_(4) monolayer based on density functional theory(DFT).Our foundings indicate that injecting additional electrons into the adsorbent significantly boosts the adsorption capacity of C_(9)N_(4) monolayer to H2 *** gravimetric density of negatively charged C_(9)N_(4) monolayer can reach up to 10.80 wt% when fully covered with *** other hydrogen storage methods,the storage and release processes happen automatically upon introducing or removing extra ***,these operations can be easily adjusted through activating or deactivating the charging *** a result,the method is easily reversible and has tunable kinetics without requiring particular ***,C_(9)N_(4) is proved to be a suitable candidate for efficient electron injection/release due to its well electrical *** work can serve as a valuable guide in the quest for a novel category of materials for hydrogen storage with high capacity.

3D interlocked all-textile structured triboelectric pressure sensor for accurately measuring epidermal pulse waves in amphibious environments

The performance degradation and even damage of the e-textiles caused by sweat,water,or submersion during all-weather health monitoring are the main reasons that e-textiles have not been commercialized and routinized so ***,we developed an amphibious,high-performance,air-permeable,and comfortable all-textile triboelectric sensor for continuous and precise measurement of epidermal pulse waves during full-day *** on the principle of preparing gas by acid-base neutralization reaction,a one-piece preparation process of amphibious conductive yarn(ACY)with densely porous structures is *** innovative three-dimensional(3D)interlocking fabric knitted from ACYs(0.6 mm in diameter)and polytetrafluoroethylene yarns exhibit high sensitivity(0.433 V·kPa^(-1)),wide bandwidth(up to 10 Hz),and stability(>30,000 cycles).With these benefits,98.8%agreement was achieved between wrist pulse waves acquired by the sensor and a high-precision laser ***,the polytetrafluoroethylene yarn with good compression resilience provides sufficient mechanical support for the contact separation of the ***,the unique skeletonized design of the 3D interlocking structure can effectively relieve the water pressure on the sensor surface to obtain stable and accurate pulse waves(underwater depth of 5 cm).This achievement represents an important step in improving the practicality of e-textiles and early diagnosis of cardiovascular diseases.

Cobalt doping amount determines dominant reactive species in peroxymonosulfate activation via porous carbon catalysts co-doped by cobalt and nitrogen

Switching the reaction routes in peroxymonosulfate(PMS)-based advanced oxidation processes have attracted much attention but remain ***,a series of Co-N/C catalysts with different compositions and structures were prepared by using bimetallic zeolitic imidazolate frameworks based on ZIF-8 and ZIF-67(x Zn/Co-ZIFs).Results show that Co doping amount could mediate the transformation of the activation pathway of PMS over CoN/*** Co doping amount was less than 10%,the constructed x Co-N/C/PMS system(x≤10%)was singlet oxygen-dominated reaction;however further increasing Co doping amount would lead to the generation and coexistence of sulfate radicals and high-valent cobalt,besides singlet ***,the nitrogen-coordinated Co(Co-NX)sites could serve as main catalytically active sites to generate singlet *** excess Co doping amount caused the formation of Co nanoparticles from which leached Co ions were responsible for the generation of sulfate radicals and high-valent *** to undoped N/C,Co doping could significantly enhance the catalytic *** 0.5%Co-N/C could achieve the optimum degradation(0.488 min^(-1))and mineralization abilities(78.4%)of sulfamethoxazole among the investigated Co-N/C catalysts,which was superior to most of previously reported *** addition,the application prospects of the two systems in different environmental scenarios(pH,inorganic anions and natural organic matter)were assessed and showed different degradation *** study provides a strategy to regulate the reactive species in PMS-based advanced oxidation process.

Stability-Considered Lane Keeping Control of Commercial Vehicles Based on Improved APF Algorithm

Regarding the lane keeping system,path tracking accuracy and lateral stability at high speeds need to be taken into account especially for commercial vehicles due to the characteristics of larger mass,longer wheelbase and higher mass *** improve the performance mentioned above comprehensively,the control strategy based on improved artificial potential field(APF)algorithm is *** the paper,time to lane crossing(TLC)is introduced into the potential field function to enhance the accuracy of path tracking,meanwhile the vehicle dynamics parameters including yaw rate and lateral acceleration are chosen as the repulsive force field *** lane keeping controller based on improved APF algorithm is designed and the stability of the control system is proved based on Lyapunov *** addition,adaptive inertial weight particle swarm optimization algorithm(AIWPSO)is applied to optimize the gain of each potential field *** co-simulation results indicate that the comprehensive evaluation index respecting lane tracking accuracy and lateral stability is reduced ***,the proposed control strategy is verified by the HiL *** provides a beneficial reference for dynamics control of commercial vehicles and enriches the theoretical development and practical application of artificial potential field method in the field of intelligent driving.

High-performance and robust high-temperature polymer electrolyte membranes with moderate microphase separation by implementation of terphenyl-based polymers

Acid loss and plasticization of phosphoric acid(PA)-doped high-temperature polymer electrolyte membranes(HT-PEMs)are critical limitations to their practical application in fuel *** overcome these barriers,poly(terphenyl piperidinium)s constructed from the m-and p-isomers of terphenyl were synthesized to regulate the microstructure of the *** rigid p-terphenyl units prompt the formation of moderate PA aggregates,where the ion-pair interaction between piperidinium and biphosphate is reinforced,leading to a reduction in the plasticizing *** a result,there are trade-offs between the proton conductivity,mechanical strength,and PA retention of the membranes with varied m/p-isomer *** designed PA-doped PTP-20m membrane exhibits superior ionic conductivity,good mechanical strength,and excellent PA retention over a wide range of temperature(80–160°C)as well as satisfactory resistance to harsh accelerated aging *** a result,the membrane presents a desirable combination of performance(1.462 W cm^(-2) under the H_(2)/O_(2)condition,which is 1.5 times higher than that of PBI-based membrane)and durability(300 h at 160°C and 0.2 A cm^(-2))in the fuel *** results of this study provide new insights that will guide molecular design from the perspective of microstructure to improve the performance and robustness of HT-PEMs.

Estimating Critical Clearing Time of Grid Faults Using DA of State-Reduction Model of Power Systems

This paper proposes a critical clearing time (CCT) estimation method by the domain of attraction (DA) of a state-reduction model of power systems using sum of squares (SOS) programming. By exploiting the property of the Jacobian matrix and the structure of the boundary of the DA, it is found the DA of the state-reduction model and that of the full model of a power system are topological isomorphism. There are one-to-one correspondence relationships between the number of equilibrium points, the type of equilibrium points, and solutions of the two system models. Based on these findings, an expanding interior algorithm is proposed with SOS programming to estimate the DA of the state-reduction model. State trajectories of the full model can be transformed to those of the state-reduction model by orthogonal or equiradius projection. In this way, CCT of a grid fault is estimated with the DA of the state-reduction model. The calculational burden of SOS programming in the DA estimation using the state-reduction model is rather small compared with using the full model. Simulation results show the proposed expanding interior algorithm is able to provide a tight estimation of DA of power systems with higher accuracy and lower time costs.

Significantly enhanced thermal stability of HMX by phase-transition lysozyme coating

A new robust bio-inspired route by using lysozyme aqueous solution for surface modification on 1,3,5,7-tetranitro-1,3,5,7-tetrazocane(HMX)was described in this *** crystals were coated by in situ phase transition of lysozyme(PTL)*** HMX decorated by PTL was characterized by SEM,XRD,FTIR and XPS,demonstrating a dense core-shell coating *** coverage of lysozyme on HMX crystal was calculated by the ratio of sulfur *** surface coverage increased from 60.5% to 93.5% when the content of PTL was changed from 0.5 wt% to 2.0 wt%,indicating efficient *** thermal stability of HMX was investigated by in situ XRD and *** thermal phase transition temperature of HMX(β to δ phase)was delayed by 42℃ with 2.0 wt% PTL coating,which prevented HMX from thermal damage and sensitivity by the effect of PTL *** heating at 215℃,large cracks appeared in the naked HMX crystal,while the PTL coated HMX still maintained intact,with the impact energy of HMX dropped dramatically from 5 J to 2 ***,the impact energy of HMX with 1.0 wt% and 2.0 wt% coating content(HMX@PTL-1.0 and HMX@PTL-2.0)was unchanged(5 J).Present results potentially enable large-scale fabrication of polymorphic energetic materials with outstanding thermal stability by novel lysozyme coating.

Filtration performance and modeling of granular bed for dust removal from coal pyrolytic vapors

Dust removal from pyrolytic vapors at high temperatures is an obstacle to the industrialization of the coal pyrolysis *** this work,a granular bed with expanded perlites as filtration media was designed and integrated into a 10 t·d^(–1)coal pyrolysis *** testing results showed that around 97.56%dust collection efficiency was *** a result,dust content in tar was significantly *** pressure drop of the granular bed maintained in the range of 356 Pa to 489 *** dust size in the effluent after filtration exhibited a bimodal distribution,which was attributed to the heterogeneity of the dust *** effects of filtration bed on pyrolytic product yields were also discussed.A modified filtration model based on the macroscopic phenomenological theory was proposed to describe the performance of the granular *** computation results were well agreed with the experimental data.

Dual-functional additive of cesium ion for achieving ultrahigh efficiency of persistent phosphorescence in existing polymer-based materials

Despite great achievements obtained for polymer-based room-temperature phosphorescence（RTP） materials, the limited efficiencies of persistent RTP still hinder their development. Herein, a simple and universal strategy of using the dual-functional additive of Cs+was presented, which could simultaneously enhance the efficiency（Φp） and maintain the long lifetime（τp） of RTP in existing polymer-based systems with various phosphors and polymers. Among them, the commercial emitter（TpB）-doped polyvinyl alcohol（PVA）/Cs2CO3system possessed an extremely high Φpup to 75.5% and still maintained a long τpof 2.13 s, by introducing the heavy-atom effect and an extra network of ionic bonding through the Cs+additive. Additionally, the temperature resistance of RTP in TpB@PVA/Cs+film could also be improved to 85℃. More satisfactorily, the efficiency of F?rster resonance energy transfer（FRET） from RTP to near-infrared（NIR） was also remarkably enhanced in the multi-component systems. This work provides a simple and universal strategy for developing polymer systems with high RTP performance.
