Kinetic model of vibration screening for granular materials based on biological neural network

The kinetic model is the theoretical basis for optimizing the structure and operation performance of vibration screening devices.In this paper,a biological neurodynamic equation and neural connections were established according to the motion and interaction properties of the material under vibration excitation.The material feeding to the screen and the material passing through apertures were considered as excitatory and inhibitory inputs,respectively,and the generated stable neural activity landscape was used to describe the material distribution on the 2D screen surface.The dynamic process of material vibration screening was simulated using discrete element method(DEM).By comparing the similarity between the material distribution established using biological neural network(BNN)and that obtained using DEM simulation,the optimum coefficients of BNN model under a certain screening parameter were determined,that is,one relationship between the BNN model coefficients and the screening operation parameters was established.Different screening parameters were randomly selected,and the corresponding relationships were established as a database.Then,with straw/grain ratio,aperture diameter,inclination angle,vibration strength in normal and tangential directions as inputs,five independent adaptive neuro-fuzzy inference systems(ANFIS)were established to predict the optimum BNN model coefficients,respectively.The training results indicated that ANFIS models had good stability and accuracy.The flexibility and adaptability of the proposed BNN method was demonstrated by modeling material distribution under complex feeding conditions such as multiple regions and non-uniform rate.

Research on the prognostic value of adjusting intraperitoneal threedimensional quality evaluation mode in laparoscopic cholecystectomy patients

BACKGROUND Benign gallbladder diseases have become a high-prevalence condition not only in China but also worldwide.The main types of benign gallbladder diseases include gallbladder polyps,acute and chronic cholecystitis,and gallstones,with gallstones being the most common,accounting for over 70%of cases.Although the mortality rate of benign gallbladder diseases is low,they carry obvious potential risks.Studies have shown that an increased incidence of benign gallbladder diseases can increase the risk of cardiovascular diseases and gallbladder cancer,resulting in a substantial disease burden on patients and their families.AIM To assess the medical utility of the Configuration-Procedure-Consequence(CPC)three-dimensional quality evaluation model in modulating the prognosis of laparoscopic cholecystectomy patients.METHODS A total of 98 patients who underwent laparoscopic cholecystectomy in our hospital from February 2020 to January 2022 were selected as the subjects.According to the random number table method,they were divided into a study group and a control group,with 49 patients in each group.The control group received routine perioperative care,while the study group had the addition of the CPC three-dimensional quality evaluation.The postoperative recovery-related indicators(time to first flatus,time to oral intake,time to ambulation,hospital stay),stress indicators(cortisol and adrenaline levels),distinctions in anxiety and RESULTS The time to first flatus,time to oral intake,time to ambulation,and hospital stay of the study group patients were obviously lower than those of the control group patients,with statistical significance(P0.05).However,on the 3rd day after surgery,the cortisol and adrenaline levels,as well as SAS and SDS scores of the study gr

Characterization of blueberry exosome-like nanoparticles and miRNAs with potential cross-kingdom human gene targets

Edible plant derived exosome-like nanoparticles(ELNs)have been shown to have multiple nutraceutical functions.However,the diversity of plant materials makes the plant derived ELN study challenging.More efforts are still needed to explore the feasible isolation methods of edible plant derived ELNs and the possible roles of food-derived ELNs in improving human health.In this study,a size exclusion chromatography based method was compared with the traditional ultracentrifugation method to isolate blueberry derived ELNs(B-ELNs),and the miRNA profile of B-ELNs was analyzed by high-throughput sequencing.A total of 36 miRNAs were found to be enriched in B-ELNs compared with berry tissue,and their potential cross-kingdom human gene targets were further predicted.Results showed that size exclusion chromatography was effective for B-ELN isolation.The most abundant miRNAs in B-ELNs mainly belonged to the miR166 family and miR396 family.Target gene prediction indicated that B-ELNs could potentially regulate pathways related to the human digestive system,immune system and infectious diseases.

Ordovician integrative stratigraphy,biotas,and paleogeographical evolution of the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau and its surrounding areas

The Ordovician rocks on the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau represent the oldest non-metamorphic strata,and are critical to understanding the history of regional geology and biotic evolution of the entire plateau.Strata of Floian,Darriwilian,Sandbian,Katian and Hirnantian are represented in the plateau with a hiatus of variable duration occurring underneath the basal Ordovician across the area.Five stratigraphical regions,including the Himalaya,Gangdise-Zayu,Qiangtang-Qamdo,Songpan-Garze,and Karakoram-Kunlun-Altun,are differentiated for the Ordovician strata,which are correlated with their equivalents in the Sibumasu,Indochina,Qaidam-Qilian,Tarim-Tianshan,and the Yangtze(western margin)stratigraphical regions.On the QinghaiTibetan Plateau,graptolites,conodonts,and cephalopods are the most common and useful fossils for the Ordovician biostratigraphy.The Ordovician biotas of the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau bear some distinguishable palaeobiogeographical signatures,among which the cephalopods are characterized by the flourishing actinocerids of North China affinity in the Early-Middle Ordovician,and by the thriving lituitids and orthocerids of South China affinity in the Middle-Late Ordovician.Fossil occurrences and their palaeobiogeographical evolution provide critical evidence bearing on the reconstruction of the geological history of the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau and surrounding terranes in northeastern peri-Gondwana.The stratigraphical successions of the Cambrian-Ordovician transition in the Himalaya and Lhasa and nearby Sibumasu terranes were significantly affected by the Kurgiakh Orogeny,which resulted in the extensive unconformity between the Ordovician and the underlying rocks in most areas of the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau.In southern Xizang,a warm-water biota of Middle Ordovician age was recovered from oolitic limestones,suggesting a likely palaeogeographical location in low-latitudes near the equator.In the Himalaya and Sibumasu regions,the Upper Ordovician was typified by the occurrence of red carbonates with distinctive

Background The glioblastoma has served as a valuable experimental model system for investigating the growth and invasive properties of glioblastoma.Aquaporin-1(AQP1)in facilitating cell migration and potentially contributing to tumor progression.In this study,we analyzed the role of AQP1 overexpression in glioblastoma and elucidated the main mechanisms involved.Methods AQP1 overexpression recombinant vector was introduced into C6 rat glioma cells to construct an AQP1 overexpression C6 cell line,and its effect on cell viability and migration ability was detected by MTT and Transwell.RNA was extracted by Trizol method for gene sequencing and transcriptomics analysis,and the differentially expressed genes(DEGs)were enriched for up-and downregulated genes by Principal component analysis(PCA),and the molecular mechanism of AQP1 overexpression was analyzed in comparison with the control group using the NCBI GEO database.Statistical analysis was performed using Mann-Whitney paired two tailed t test.Results The cell viability of AQP1-transfected cell lines increased by 23%and the mean distance traveled increased by 67%compared with the control group.Quantitative analysis of gene expression showed that there were 12,121 genes with an average transcripts per million(TPM)value greater than 1.DEGs accounted for 13%of the genes expressed,with the highest correlation with upregulated genes being FOXO4 and MAZ,and the highest with down-regulated genes being E2F TFs.Conclusions AQP1 may be implicated in glioma formation by interacting with the transcriptional regulation networks involving the FOXO4,MAZ,and E2F1/2.These findings shed light on the potential significance of AQP1 in glioma pathogenesis and warrant further investigations to unravel the underlying molecular mechanisms.

Aero-structural design of joined-wing aircraft based on high-fidelity model

The joined-wing configuration reduces induced drag and structural weight by connecting the rear wing to the front wing.In addition,the rear wing can replace the role of the horizontal tail of a conventional aircraft,thus eliminating the aerodynamic drag and weight associated with the horizontal tail.This particular shape creates a highly coupled relationship between aerodynamics and structure,which must be fully considered during the overall design process to enhance aircraft performance.In this research,an aero-structural design model of the joined-wing aircraft is constructed based on high-fidelity computational fluid dynamics and structural finite element methods.The model is able to obtain accurate aerodynamic loads for the non-planar wing and to simulate the statically indeterminate structure of the closed wing configuration.The influence of the joined-wing shape parameters on the aerodynamic and structural disciplines,as well as the influence of geometric nonlinear characteristics,deformation constraints and buckling constraints on the structural weight are all taken into consideration.The model is applied to complete the aero-structural design optimization of a high-altitude long-endurance joined-wing aircraft,and wind tunnel tests are conducted.The test results verify the credibility of the design model proposed and the validity of the design environment.

Stabilizing iridium sites via interface and reconstruction regulations for water oxidation in alkaline and acidic media

Exploring effective iridium(Ir)-based electrocatalysts with stable iridium centers is highly desirable for oxygen evolution reaction(OER).Herein,we regulated the incorporation manner of Ir in Co_(3)O_(4)support to stabilize the Ir sites for effective OER.When anchored on the surface of Co_(3)O_(4)in the form of Ir(OH)_6 species,the created Ir-OH-Co interface leads to a limited stability and poor acidic OER due to Ir leaching.When doped into Co_(3)O_(4)lattice,the analyses of X-ray absorption spectroscopy,in-situ Raman,and OER measurements show that the partially replacement of Co in Co_(3)O_(4)by Ir atoms inclines to cause strong electronic effect and activate lattice oxygen in the presence of Ir-O-Co interface,and simultaneously master the reconstruction effect to mitigate Ir dissolution,realizing the improved OER activity and stability in alkaline and acidic environments.As a result,Ir_(lat)@Co_(3)O_(4)with Ir loading of 3.67 wt%requires 294±4 mV/285±3 mV and 326±2 mV to deliver 10 mA cm^(-2)in alkaline(0.1 M KOH/1.0 M KOH)and acidic(0.5 M H_(2)SO_(4))solution,respectively,with good stability.

Structural characteristics and drivers of greenhouse gas emissions at county-level and long-time scales:A case study of the Anji County,China

To achieve carbon neutrality,the Chinese government needs to gain a comprehensive understanding of the sources and drivers of greenhouse gas(GHG)emissions,particularly at the county level.Anji County in eastern China is a typical example of an industrial transformation from quarrying to a low-carbon economy.This study analyzed the decoupling types and structural characteristics of GHG emissions and the driving factors of carbon dioxide(CO_(2))emissions in the Anji from 2006 to 2019,and explored the differences between countylevel and provincial-level or city-level results.It was observed that energy-related activities are the main source of GHG emissions in Anji and that economic development is the driving factor behind the increasing CO_(2)emissions.However,industrial transformation and upgradation coupled with the alternative use of clean energy limit the growth of GHG emissions.This study details the GHG emissions of county during the industrial transformation stage and provides corresponding policy recommendations for county governments.

Factors affecting meibomian gland area loss in symptomatic adults

AIM:To characterize the distribution of meibomian gland(MG)area loss(MGL)and its relationship with demographic characteristics,mites,and symptoms.METHODS:This retrospective observational study included patients who visited the Dry Eye Clinic of Shenzhen Eye Hospital between June 2020 and August 2021.General patient characteristics,ocular symptoms,Demodex test results of the eyelid edges,and the results of a comprehensive ocular surface analysis were collected.MGL was analyzed using Image J software.RESULTS:This study enrolled 1204 outpatients aged 20-80(40.70±13.44)y,including 357 males(29.65%)and 847 females(70.35%).The patients were classified into mild(n=155;12.87%),moderate(n=795;66.03%),severe(n=206;17.11%),and extremely severe(n=48;3.99%)MGL groups.MGL was significantly larger in female than in male(P=0.006).The degree of MGL also significantly differed in age(P<0.001)and the more numbers of mites with severity(P<0.001).Multivariate disordered multinomial logistic regression analysis identified that female sex,older age,secretory symptoms,and a large number of mites were risk factors for MGL(P<0.05).CONCLUSION:Patients with MGL are more likely to be older,female,more numbers of mites,and increased secretion.

Selective extinction and habitat nestedness are the main drivers of lizard nestedness in the Zhoushan Archipelago

Nested subset pattern(nestedness)is an important part of the theoretical framework of island biogeography and community ecology.However,most previous studies often used nestedness metrics or randomization algorithms that are vulnerable to type I error.In this study,we inves-tigated the nestedness of lizard assemblages on 37 islands in the Zhoushan Archipelago,China.We used the line-transect method to survey species occurrence,abundance,and habitat types of lizards on 37 islands during 2 breeding seasons in 2021 and 2022.We applied the nested metric WNODF and the conservative rc null model to control for type I error and quantify the significance of nestedness.Spearman rank cor relations were used to evaluate the role of 4 habitat variables(island area,2 isolation indices,and habitat diversity)and 4 ecological traits(body size,geographic range size,clutch size,and minimum area requirement)in generating nestedness.The results of WNODF analyses showed that lizard assemblages were significantly nested.The habitat-by-site matrix estimated by the program NODF was also significantly nested,support-ing the habitat nestedness hypothesis.The nestedness of lizard assemblages were significantly correlated with island area,habitat diversity.clutch size,and minimum area requirement.Overall,our results suggest that selective extinction and habitat nestedness were the main drivers of lizard nestedness in our system.In contrast,the nestedness of lizard assemblages was not due to passive sampling or selective colonization.To maximize the number of species preserved,our results indicate that we should protect both large islands with diverse habitats and species with largearea requirement and clutch size.
