Dual-additives enable stable electrode-electrolyte interfaces for long life Li-SPAN batteries

Sulfurized polyacrylonitrile(SPAN)is proposed as a promising cathode material for lithium sulfur ***,the continuous side reactions at the electrolyte-electrode interfaces as well as the slow redox kinetics of SPAN cathode deteriorate the electrochemical *** this study,an electrolyte with dual-additives comprising 2-fluoropyridine(2-FP)and lithium difluorobis(oxalato)phosphate(LiDFBOP)was used to improve the performance of Li||SPAN cells.2-FP has a lower lowest occupied molecular orbital energy than that of the solvents in the electrolyte,leading to its prior reduction.A LiF-rich film can be formed on the electrode,effectively improving the stability of the electrolyte-electrode interfaces and prolonging the ***,LiDFBOP could form an electrolyte-electrode interface film containing a large amount of Li_(x)PO_(y)F_(z) species,compensating for the kinetic deterioration caused by the lower ionic conductive of LiF formed at the electrolyte-electrode ***,an electrode-interface film with good chemical stability and high Li^(+) transport was established by LiF and Li_(x)PO_(y)F_(z)-rich *** Li||SPAN cell with the electrolyte containing dual-additives demonstrates an excellent capacity retention of 97.5%after 200 cycles at 1.0 C,25℃,comparing to 56.2%capacity retention without ***,the rate capacities of cells with dual-additives can reach 1128.1 mAh/g at 5 C,comparing to only 813.5 mAh/g using electrolyte without *** results shown that the dual-additives in electrolyte provide a promising strategy for practical application of lithium sulfur batteries with SPAN cathodes.

The co-transport of Cd(Ⅱ) and nZnO in saturated soil packed column:effects of ionic strength and pH

The rapid development and widespread use of ZnO nanoparticles(nZnO) in various industries have raised concerns about their potential environmental ***,understanding the fate and role of nZnO in the natural environment is crucial for mitigating their hazardous effects on the environment and human *** purpose of the present study was to provide scientific support for understanding and eliminating the joint risk of nanoparticle and heavy metal pollution in the soil environment by revealing the co-transport characteristics of Cd(Ⅱ) and ZnO nanoparticles(nZnO) in soil under different ionic strength(IS) and *** impacts of different IS and pH on the co-transport of Cd(Ⅱ) and nZnO in a20 cm long with an inner diameter of 2.5 cm acrylic column packed with 10 cm high soil samples were investigated in the present *** the above system,a500 μg L^(-1) Cd(Ⅱ) loaded nZnO suspension pulse with varying IS or pH was introduced into the soil column for leaching over 5 PVs,followed up by 5 PVs background solutions without *** IS was 1,10,or 50 mM NaCl,with pH6,or the pH was 6,7 or 8 with 1 mM ***,Sedimentation experiments for nZnO,adsorption of Cd(Ⅱ) on soil,and nZnO,DLVO theory calculation for the same background condition were *** presence of nZnO significantly increased the mobility of Cd(Ⅱ) as a result of its strong adsorption capacity for nZnO-associated Cd(Ⅱ).However,with the increase of IS,the co-transport of nZnO and Cd(Ⅱ) was decreased and the retention of nZnO in the soil column due to more nZnO attended to aggregate and sediment during the transport and the decrease in the adsorption capacity of nZnO for Cd(Ⅱ) by competition of Na^(+).When pH was 6,7,and 8,the co-transport of nZnO and Cd(Ⅱ) increased with higher pH due to the lower electrostatic attraction between nZnO and soil under higher ***,the DLVO theory was fitted to describe the above co-transport process of nZnO and Cd(Ⅱ).More attention should be paid to

Uniform lithium deposition induced by copper phthalocyanine additive for durable lithium anode in lithium-sulfur batteries

Copper phthalocyanine(CuPc)is adopted as an electrolyte additive to stabilize lithium anode for lithiumsulfur(Li-S)*** with a planar molecular structure and lithiophilic N-containing group,is likely to be adsorbed on the surface of Li anode to form a coating layer,which can restrict the direct contact between Li anode and solvents,and guide the uniform deposition of Li^(+)*** Li||Li symmetric cells demonstrate a stable cycle performance,and Li||Cu cells show high Coulombic *** Li-S batteries,the formed stable solid-electrolyte interface(SEI)film containing copper sulfides can protect Li anode from the polysulfide corrosion and side reactions with the electrolyte,leading to the compact and smooth surface morphology of Li ***,the Li-S batteries with CuPc additive deliver much higher capacity,better cycle performance and rate capability as compared to the one without CuPc additive.

Comparative analysis of the characteristics of outlet short circuit and winding insulation fault of distribution transformer and its preventive measures

Outlet short circuit on the low-voltage(LV)side and winding inter-turn short circuit faults are hazardous to transformer *** investigate the formation mechanism of winding insulation faults of distribution transformer,ANSYS Maxwell was used to build a coupled magnetic field-circuit model with the same structural dimension as the actual distribution *** outlet short circuit and winding inter-turn insulation faults were set by using the voltage-controlled switch in the external circuit of the ***-sequently,the differences in the electromagnetic characteristics and the electrodynamic force distributions of the windings under three operating conditions,namely,nominal load,three-phase outlet short circuit on the LV side and inter-turn insulation failure were studied,*** results show that compared with the rated load,in the cases of outlet short circuit and inter-turn insulation faults,the amplitude of winding current in-creases by 20 and 50 times,the magnetic field strength grows by 20 and 17 times,and the electrodynamic force rises by 400 and 230 times,*** short circuit fault is more likely to cause the winding instability and deformation,and inter-turn short circuit fault can easily burn out winding ***,corresponding preventive measures were proposed.

Application of a concrete thermal pile in cooling the warming permafrost under climate change

Permafrost degradation caused by climate warming is posing a serious threat to the stability of cast-in-place pile foundations in warm permafrost *** cold energy can be effectively utilized by two-phase closed thermosyphons(TPCTs)to cool the ***,we installed TPCTs in a cast-in-place pile foundation to create a unique structure called a thermal pile,which effectively utilizes the TPCTs to regulate ground *** we conducted a case study and numerical simulation to exhibit the cooling performance,and optimize the structure of the thermal *** purpose of this study is to promote the application of thermal piles in unstable permafrost *** on the findings,the thermal pile operated for approximately 53%of the entire year and effectively reduced the deep ground temperature at a rate of at least-0.1℃per ***,it successfully raised the permafrost table that is 0.35 m shallower than the natural ground *** characteristics prove highly beneficial in mitigating the adverse effects of permafrost degradation and enhancing infrastructure *** the length of the condenser section and the diameter of the TPCT in a suitable manner can effectively enhance the cooling capability of the thermal pile and ensure the long-term mechanical stability of the pile foundation even under climate warming.

Numerical Simulations of the Flow Field around a Cylindrical Lightning Rod

As an important lightning protection device in substations,lightning rods are susceptible to vibration and potential structural damage under wind *** order to understand their vibration mechanism,it is necessary to conduct flow *** this study,numerical simulations of the flow field around a 330 kV cylindrical lightning rod with different diameters were performed using the SST k-ω*** flow patterns in different segments of the lightning rod at the same reference wind speed(wind speed at a height of 10 m)and the flow patterns in the same segment at different reference wind speeds were *** variations of lift coefficient,drag coefficient,and vorticity distribution were *** results showed that vortex shedding phenomena occurred in all segments of the lightning rod,and the strength of vortex shedding increased with decreasing *** vorticity magnitude and the root mean square magnitudes of the lift coefficient and drag coefficient also increased *** time history curves of the lift coefficient and drag coefficient on the surface of the lightning rod exhibited sinusoidal patterns with a single dominant *** the same segment,as the wind speed increased in a certain range,the root mean square values of the lift coefficient and drag coefficient decreased,while their dominant frequencies ***,there was a proportional relationship between the dominant frequencies of the lift coefficient and drag *** findings of this study can provide valuable insights for the refined design of lightning rods with similar structures.

BACKGROUND Despite sharing similar pathogenic factors,cancer and coronary heart disease(CHD)occur in comparable populations at similar ages and possess similar susceptibility ***,it is increasingly commonplace for patients to experience the simultaneous occurrence of cancer and CHD,a trend that is steadily *** To determine the impacts of continuing care on lung cancer patients with CHD following percutaneous coronary intervention(PCI).METHODS There were 94 lung cancer patients with CHD following PCI who were randomly assigned to the intervention group(n=38)and the control group(n=41).In the intervention group,continuing care was provided,while in the control group,routine care was *** evaluation of cardiac and pulmonary function,medication compliance,a 6-min walk test,and patient quality of life was *** Differences between the two groups were significant in left ventricular ejection fraction,6-min walk test,oxygen uptake,quality of life and medication compliance(P<0.05).In comparison with the control group,the enhancement in the intervention group was more *** intervention group had more patients with high medication compliance than the control group,with a statistically significant difference(P<0.05).CONCLUSION After undergoing PCI,lung patients with CHD could benefit from continued care in terms of cardiac and pulmonary function,medications compliance,and quality of life.

Insertion sequence transposition activates antimycobacteriophage immunity through an Isr2-silenced lipid metabolism gene island

Grain yield and N uptake of maize in response to increased plant density under reduced water and nitrogen supply conditions

The development of modern agriculture requires the reduction of water and chemical N fertilizer *** the planting density can maintain higher yields,but also consumes more of these restrictive ***,whether an increased maize density can compensate for the negative effects of reduced water and N supply on grain yield and N uptake in the arid irrigated areas remains *** study is part of a long-term positioning trial that started in 2016.A split-split plot field experiment of maize was implemented in the arid irrigated area of northwestern China in 2020 to *** treatments included two irrigation levels:local conventional irrigation reduced by 20%(W1,3,240 m^(3)ha^(-1))and local conventional irrigation(W2,4,050 m^(3)ha^(-1));two N application rates:local conventional N reduced by 25%(N1,270 kg ha^(-1))and local conventional N(360 kg ha^(-1));and three planting densities:local conventional density(D1,75,000 plants ha^(-1)),density increased by 30%(D2,97,500 plants ha-1),and density increased by 60%(D3,120,000 plants ha^(-1)).Our results showed that the grain yield and aboveground N accumulation of maize were lower under the reduced water and N inputs,but increasing the maize density by 30% can compensate for the reductions of grain yield and aboveground N accumulation caused by the reduced water and N *** water was reduced while the N application rate remained unchanged,increasing the planting density by 30% enhanced grain yield by 13.9% and aboveground N accumulation by 15.3%.Under reduced water and N inputs,increasing the maize density by 30% enhanced N uptake efficiency and N partial factor productivity,and it also compensated for the N harvest index and N metabolic related enzyme *** with W2N2D1,the N uptake efficiency and N partial factor productivity increased by 28.6 and 17.6%under W1N1D2.W1N2D2 had 8.4% higher N uptake efficiency and 13.9% higher N partial factor productivity than W2N2D1.W1N2D2 improv
