Incidence and Mortality of Cancers in Female Genital Organs—China,2022

Introduction:This study presented the incidence and mortality rates of cancers affecting the female genital organs in China,along with their trends spanning from 2010 to 2018.Methods:700 population-based cancer registries provided relevant cancer incidence and mortality data for the year 2018.Among these,106 registries had continuous monitoring data suitable for trend analysis from 2010 to 2018.We focused specifically on cancers affecting female genital organs(ICD10=C51-C54,C56)and projected their incidences and mortalities in China for 2022 based on data from 2018 and the trends observed from 2010 to 2018.Age-standardized incidence rate(ASIR)and mortality rate(ASMR)were calculated using Segi’s world standard population.Results:In 2022,there were an estimated 296,300 new cases and 104,900 deaths from female cancers in China.ASIRs for vulva(C51),vagina(C52),cervix uteri(C53),corpus uteri(C54),and ovary(C56)were 0.32,0.23,13.83,6.84,and 5.68 per 100,000 population.ASIRs for corpus uteri and ovary cancers were higher in urban areas.ASMRs for vulva,vagina,cervix,corpus uteri,and ovary cancers were 0.14,0.08,4.54,1.05,and 2.64 per 100,000 population,respectively.ASMR for ovarian cancer was higher in urban areas.ASIRs and ASMRs for most female genital organ cancers increased from 2010 to 2018,although the rate of increase for vulvar and cervical cancers in rural areas has slowed recently.Conclusions:Tailored cancer prevention and control programs specific to each region are necessary to address the growing disease burden.

Evaluation of pelvic visceral functions after modified nerve-sparing radical hysterectomy

Background Nerve-sparing radical hysterectomy （NSRH） was developed in an attempt to minimize complications after radical hysterectomy.Since 2008,a modified NSRH-nerve plane-sparing radical hysterectomy （NPSRH） has been developed at the Cancer Hospital,Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences.The aim of this study was to investigate the role of NPSRH in improving postoperative pelvic visceral dysfunctions.Methods Eighty-three patients with International Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics （FIGO） stage IB1-IIA2 cervical cancer received NPSRH （the study group） from January 2008 to October 2012.One hundred and sixty-six patients who underwent conventional radical hysterectomy （CRH） were randomly selected as the control group.Age,pathological type and stage were matched between the two groups.The safety of surgery was assessed by duration of operation and blood transfusion rate.Postoperative short-term bladder function was analyzed by duration of catheterization.Long-term bladder,anorectal and sexual function were evaluated with questionnaires.Results Seventy-eight patients （94.0%） in the NPSRH group and one hundred and sixty patients （96.4%） in the CRH group completed the study.Median follow-up time was 31.9 months and 31.0 months respectively （P=0.708）.There was no significant difference between the two groups in terms of age,body mass index,FIGO stage,pathologic type,preoperative and postoperative therapy （P 〉0.05）.The blood transfusion rate shared no difference between two groups （P=0.364）.The operation time in the NPSRH group was significantly longer than CRH group （P 〈0.01）.But the duration of catheterization and hospitalization in the NPSRH group was significantly reduced compared with CRH group （P 〈0.01）.In addition,the incidence of long-term urinary frequency,urinary incontinence,urinary retention,straining to void,constipation and diarrhea was significantly lower in the NPSRH group （P 〈0.05）.However,there was no significant difference regarding sexual function （P 〉0.05）.Conclusions The current evidence indica

The protein elicitor from the mycelium of Alternaria tenuissima has been isolated.The elicitor triggered resistance to the tobacco mosaic virus in tobacco by inducing relative oxygen species,but without causing hypersensitive necrosis.The elicitor is reported to impart resistance against Verticillium dahliae and to increase yield in cotton,but its mechanism is not yet clear.In this study,the stable isotope labelled mass spectrometry method was used to quantify the relative abundances of protein expression induced by PeaT1 in Arabidopsis.A significant difference in the relative abundances for the expression of different proteins related to metabolism,modification,regulatory,defense,stress and antioxidation was found in Arabidopsis.

目的根据国际癌症登记协会发布的全球恶性肿瘤发病数据，分析全球不同恶性肿瘤发病年龄分布特征，比较不同地区恶性肿瘤的发病年龄差异。方法从《五大洲癌症发病率》第Ⅺ卷提取2008-2012年65个国家涵盖339个人群为基础的肿瘤登记处的恶性肿瘤数据。分析不同地区、分性别和癌种的平均发病年龄，根据联合国发布的人类发展指数和地区发展程度进行分层。采用Segi＇s世界标准人口（世标）进行标化，计算标化平均发病年龄，分析人口年龄结构对恶性肿瘤发病年龄的影响。结果研究覆盖全球人口4812008148人年，其中男性2367458302人年，女性2444549846人年；恶性肿瘤新发病例21892093人，其中男性11450515人，女性10441578人。全球恶性肿瘤平均发病年龄为65．73岁，男性为66．70岁，女性为64．67岁。睾丸癌的平均发病年龄最小，为36．67岁；胆囊癌的平均发病年龄最高为71．55岁。调整人口结构后，平均发病年龄较高依次为胆囊癌、膀胱癌和前列腺癌，较低依次为睾丸癌、骨癌和脑瘤。发达国家或地区的恶性肿瘤平均发病年龄为66．38岁，欠发达国家或地区为61．75岁，我国恶性肿瘤平均发病年龄为63．47岁。人类发展指数越高的国家或地区。恶性肿瘤的平均发病年龄越高，调整人口年龄结构后差异缩小。结论不同恶性肿瘤发病年龄分布特点明显，胆囊癌和膀胱癌等恶性肿瘤的平均发病年龄相对较高，而睾丸癌、骨癌和甲状腺癌等恶性肿瘤的平均发病年龄相对年轻。非洲等欠发达国家或地区的平均发病年龄相对较低。我国恶性肿瘤平均发病年龄位居发达国家和发展中国家之间。恶性肿瘤防控应根据不同癌种的年龄分布特点进行。

低碳发展目标下,配置储能是保证低碳园区安全、经济运行,降低碳排放量的关键手段.为解决当前低碳园区中碳排放计算不准确、等效储能资源利用不充分的问题,提出了基于碳排放流理论的电网动态排放因子计算方法,实现了园区用电间接碳排放的精确计量;然后,充分考虑园区中的可用等效储能资源,提出了一种考虑热力系统等效储能特性的储能容量优化配置模型,并采用大M法对模型中的非线性约束进行了等价转换.最后,基于算例系统进行了仿真分析,仿真结果验证了所提模型的正确性和有效性.

2022年中国恶性肿瘤流行情况分析

目的根据全国肿瘤登记中心收集的肿瘤登记数据,估计2022年中国恶性肿瘤流行情况。方法纳入700个肿瘤登记处的2018年数据和106个登记处的2010—2018年数据,采用年龄-时期-队列模型,按性别、城乡分层,估计2022年总体及23类主要恶性肿瘤的中国人口年龄标准化发病率(中标发病率)和死亡率(中标死亡率)。结合2022年人口数据,估计2022年中国恶性肿瘤发病和死亡例数。结果2022年中国恶性肿瘤新发病例估计为482.47万(男性253.39万,女性229.08万),中标发病率为208.58/10万(男性212.67/10万,女性208.08/10万)。城市地区恶性肿瘤新发病例约290.39万,中标发病率为212.95/10万;农村地区192.08万,中标发病率为199.65/10万。发病例数前5位的恶性肿瘤(肺癌106.06万,结直肠癌51.71万,甲状腺癌46.61万,肝癌36.77万,女性乳腺癌35.72万)占全部新发病例的57.4%。2022年中国恶性肿瘤死亡病例估计为257.42万(男性162.93万,女性94.49万),中标死亡率为97.08/10万(男性127.70/10万,女性68.67/10万)。城市地区恶性肿瘤死亡病例约140.06万,中标死亡率为92.37/10万;农村地区117.34万,中标死亡率为103.97/10万。死亡例数前5位的恶性肿瘤(肺癌73.33万,肝癌31.65万,胃癌26.04万,结直肠癌24.00万,食管癌18.75万)占全部死亡病例的67.5%。肺癌居男、女恶性肿瘤发病和死亡首位,城市地区恶性肿瘤发病率高于农村地区,死亡率低于农村地区。结论中国恶性肿瘤疾病负担存在性别、城乡和地区差异,总体呈现发达国家与发展中国家癌谱共存的局面,防控形势严峻。

Simultaneous mineralization of CO_2 and recovery of soluble potassium using earth-abundant potassium feldspar

CO2 capture and storage(CCS) is an important strategy in combatting anthropogenic climate change.However,commercial application of the CCS technique is currently hampered by its high energy expenditure and costs.To overcome this issue,CO2 capture and utilization(CCU) is a promising CO2 disposal method.We,for the first time,developed a promising method to mineralize CO2 using earth-abundant potassium feldspar in order to effectively reduce CO2 emissions.Our experiments demonstrate that,after adding calcium chloride hexahydrate as an additive,the K-feldspar can be transformed to Ca-silicates at 800 C,which can easily mineralize CO2 to form stable calcium carbonate and recover soluble potassium.The conversion of this process reached 84.7%.With further study,the pretreatment temperature can be reduced to 250 C using hydrothermal method by adding the solution of triethanolamine(TEA).The highest conversion can be reached 40.1%.The process of simultaneous mineralization of CO2 and recovery of soluble potassium can be easily implemented in practice and may provide an economically feasible way to tackle global anthropogenic climate change.

链霉菌是一种重要的微生物资源,具有广泛的应用价值。本研究从土壤中筛选出一株对多种病原菌有抑制效果的菌株,编号TX21,其中对玉蜀黍平脐蠕孢的抑菌效果最优,为50.0%。采用浸种及喷施的方法探究了菌株TX21发酵上清液对水稻种子和黄瓜幼苗的促生效果,结果显示发酵上清液能使水稻种子胚根和胚芽分别增长48.5%和47.1%,黄瓜幼苗根系和鲜重分别增加了37.6%和47.0%,表现出良好的促生作用;通过形态学观察、生理生化和16S r RNA分子生物学鉴定苜蓿链霉菌Streptomyces alfalfae。利用黄瓜子叶叶绿素试验及UHPLC-MS方法明确了发酵上清液的有效促生物质,证实其中含有2-甲硫顺式玉米素核苷(ms^(2)io^(6)A,分子式:C_(16)H_(23)N_(5)O_(5)S)。

Incidence and survival of neuroendocrine neoplasms in China with comparison to the United States

Background:Neuroendocrine neoplasms(NENs)are rare tumors characterized by variable biology and delayed diagnosis.However,the nationwide epidemiology of NENs has never been reported in China.We aimed to estimate the incidence and survival statistics of NENs in China,in comparison to those in the United States during the same period.Methods:Based on the data from 246 population-based cancer registries covering 272.5 million people of China,we calculated age-specific incidence on NENs in 2017 and multiplied by corresponding national population to estimate the nationwide incidence in China.The data of 22 population-based cancer registries were used to estimate the trends of NENs incidence from 2000 to 2017 through the Joinpoint regression model.We used the cohort approach to analyze the 5-year age-standardized relative survival by sex,age group,and urban-rural area between 2008 and 2013,based on data from 176 high-quality cancer registries.We used data from the Surveillance,Epidemiology,and End Results(SEER)18 program to estimate the comparable incidence and survival of NENs in the United States.Results:The overall age-standardized rate(ASR)of NENs incidence was lower in China(1.14 per 100,000)than in the United States(6.26 per 100,000).The most common primary sites were lungs,pancreas,stomach,and rectum in China.The ASRs of NENs incidence increased by 9.8%and 3.6%per year in China and the United States,respectively.The overall 5-year relative survival in China(36.2%)was lower than in the United States(63.9%).The 5-year relative survival was higher for female patients than male patients,and was higher in urban areas than in rural areas.Conclusions:The disparities in burden of NENs persist across sex,area,age group,and site in China and the United States.These findings may provide a scientific basis on prevention and control of NENs in the two countries.

Cancer statistics in Chinese older people,2022:current burden,time trends,and comparisons with the US,Japan,and the Republic of Korea

Largely due to population ageing,the cancer burden from older people has been rising,which imposed considerable pressure on current Chinese healthcare system.We provide comprehensive information about cancer burden of Chinese older people based on the most recent data from National Central Cancer Registry of China.The logarithmic linear regression was used to project the current cancer burden in 2022,and Joinpoint regression was used for temporal trend analysis from 2000 to 2017.We also estimated cancer statistics of older people in the US,Japan and the Republic of Korea for comparisons.It is estimated that 2.79 million cases and 1.94 million deaths occur for Chinese older people,representing 55.8%and 68.2%of cases and deaths in all population in 2022.The overall cancer incidence rate gradually increased among older women,while the mortality rates declined for both sexes.Notably,approximately 10.0%of all cases and 17.7%of all deaths are from people aged over 80 years,and cancer incidence and mortality in this age group showed upward trends for women.Lung cancer and digestive cancers are the leading cancer types for Chinese older people.Compared with other countries,China has lower incidence rates but higher mortality rates for older people.The rapidly growing burden of prostate cancer,breast cancer,colorectal cancer,and declines in esophageal cancer,stomach cancer,and liver cancer among older people indicate the cancer pattern in China is being in a transition stage to that in developed countries.Our findings imply that it should be the national health priority to meet the growing demands for cancer diagnosis,treatment and care services from the older people as the rapid population ageing in next few decades.
