The shielding and corrosion properties of the Alloy 709 advanced austenitic stainless steel have been investigated as a candidate canister material in spent fuel dry *** results revealed that the experimental and computational data of the linear and mass attenuation coefficients of the alloy are in good agreement,in which the attenuation coefficient values decreased with increasing photon *** 709 was shown to exhibit the highest linear attenuation coefficient against gamma rays when compared to 304 and 316 stainless *** the other hand,Alloy 709 exhibited no considerable weight change over a 69-day period in circulating salt brines corrosion testing,while it showed an exponential increase of corrosion current density with temperature in acidic and basic corrosive solutions during electrochemical polarization corrosion ***,Alloy 709 was the least corroded steel compared to other austenitic stainless steels in both acidic and basic *** optimistic results of the shielding and corrosion properties of Alloy 709 due to its chemical composition,suggest utilizing it as a canister material in spent nuclear fuel dry casks.

In this editorial,we discuss the article in the World Journal of *** article conducts a meta-analysis of the diagnostic accuracy of the urea breath test(UBT),a non-invasive method for detecting Helicobacter pylori(***)infection in *** is based on radionuclide-labeled *** methods,both invasive and non-invasive,are available for diagnosing *** infection,inclu-ding endoscopy with biopsy,serology for immunoglobulin titers,stool antigen analysis,and *** guidelines recommend UBTs as the primary choice for diagnosing *** infection and for reexamining after eradication *** is used to be the first choice non-invasive test due to their high accuracy,specificity,rapid results,and ***,its performance remains unaffected by the distribution of *** in the stomach,allowing a high flow of patients to be *** its widespread use,the performance characteristics of UBT have been inconsistently described and remain incompletely *** are two UBTs available with Food and Drug Administration approval:The 13C and 14C *** tests are affordable and can provide real-time *** may prefer the 13C test because it is non-radioactive,compared to 14C which uses a radioactive isotope,especially in young children and pregnant *** there was heterogeneity among the studies regarding the diagnostic accuracy of both UBTs,13C-UBT consistently outperforms the *** makes the 13C-UBT the preferred diagnostic ***,the provided findings of the meta-analysis emphasize the significance of precise considerations when choosing urea dosage,assessment timing,and measurement techniques for both the 13C-UBT and 14C-UBT,to enhance diagnostic precision.

Objective: To evaluate the synergetic effect of an ethanolic extract of Egyptian propolis in immunization of BALB/c mice with Taenia saginata(T. saginata) crude antigen against bovine cysticercosis, with reference to its effects on liver and kidney ***: Sixty female mice BALB/c strain weighing 20 to 25 g and 6-8 weeks old were randomly allocated into six groups of ten mice each. Mice in groups 1 and 2(G1 and G2) were immunized intraperitoneally with 100 μg of T. saginata crude antigen in 100 μL phosphate buffer saline emulsified in Freund's adjuvant. Besides, the mice in G2 were administered with propolis extract simultaneously with immunization. Control mice were either administered with propolis extract(G3) or injected with the same volume of phosphate buffer saline emulsified in Freund's adjuvant(G4). The mice in G5 were non-immunized infected control while, those in G6 were non-immunized non-infected control. Two weeks after the last immunization, each mouse was challenged intraperitoneally with 5 000 oncospheres except those of G6. Ethanolic extract of propolis was prepared at a dose 50 mg/kg body ***: After 24 weeks of challenge, the mice in G2 showed the highest level of protection(100%), with no cyst being detected rather than mice in G1(33.3% protection). Additionally,the ELISA results, in this study, showed higher antibody titer in G2 with reduction the alteration in liver and kidney functions compared to ***: Egyptian propolis could increase the level of protection against experimental challenge infection with T. saginata eggs when administered simultaneously with immunization. Furthermore, it could enhance the production of antibodies to immunized antigen and decrease the alteration in liver and kidney functions.

This study assesses the direct and indirect effects of natural and anthropogenic aerosols （e.g., black carbon and sulfate） over West and Central Africa during the West African monsoon （WAM） period （June-July-August）. We investigate the impacts of aerosols on the amount of cloudiness, the influences on the precipitation efficiency of clouds, and the associated radiative forcing （direct and indirect）. Our study includes the implementation of three new formulations of auto-conversion parameterization [namely, the Beheng （BH）, Tripoli and Cotton （TC） and Liu and Daum （R6） schemes] in RegCM4.4.1, besides the default model＇s auto-conversion scheme （Kessler）. Among the new schemes, BH reduces the precipitation wet bias by more than 50% over West Africa and achieves a bias reduction of around 25% over Central Africa. Results from detailed sensitivity experiments suggest a significant path forward in terms of addressing the long-standing issue of the characteristic wet bias in RegCM. In terms of aerosol-induced radiative forcing, the impact of the various schemes is found to vary considerably （ranging from -5 to -25 W m-2）.

Objective:To evaluate Brachychiton acerifolius leaf extracts as antidiabetic potential agent and to identify the main active constituents using bioactivity guided ***:In vitro antioxidant activity was evaluated for *** different extracts using DPPH assay and vitamin C as *** activity was then determined using STZ-induced rats treated daily with ethyl acetate and 70% ethanol leaf extracts for4 weeks at a dose of 200 g/kg body weight against gliclazide reference *** glucose,a-amylase,lipid profile,liver function enzymes and oxidative stress markers were assessed along with histopathological study for liver and pancreatic *** and structural elucidation of active compounds were made using Diaion and Sephadex followed by spectral ***:The results indicated that ethyl acetate and ethanol leaf extracts exhibited the strongest antioxidant activity compared to that of vitamin C(IC500.05,0.03 and 12 mg/m L,respectively).Both extracts showed potent anti-hyperglycemic activity evidenced by a significant decrease in serum glucose levels by 82.5% and 80.9% and a-amylase by45.2% and 53.6%,as compared with gliclazide 68% and 59.4%,*** of ethanol extract resulted in the isolation of 9 flavonoids including apigenin-7-O-arhamnosyl(1/2)-b-D-glucuronide,apigenin-7-O-b-D-glucuronide,apigenin-7-O-b-Dglucoside and ***:This study highlights the potential use of *** leaf extract enriched in flavones for the treatment of diabetes that would warrant further clinical trials investigation.

AIM:To develop normative data for meibomian gland dysfunction(MGD)parameters,using non-contact meibography technique of Sirius Costruzione Strumenti Oftalmici(CSO)machine,in an Egyptian population ***:Observational,cross-sectional,analytic study,in which 104 Egyptian volunteers were *** upper lids were examined,using“Sirius CSO”*** eyelid was given a degree of meibomian gland loss(MGL),which was calculated by the software of the ***:Mean percentage MGL in right upper lid was of 30.9%±12.6%,and that of left upper lid was 32.6%±11.8%.Thirty-four volunteers(32.7%)had first-degree MGL in their right upper lid,and 67.3%had second-degree *** volunteer(1%)had zero-degree MGL in left upper lid,28(26.9%)had first-degree loss,and 75(72.1%)had second-degree *** of MGL in right upper eyelid was not related to age,but degree of MGL in left upper eyelid increased with *** was statistically significant difference between both genders for degree of MGL in right eye(P=0.036)and in left eye(P=0.027).CONCLUSION:Noncontact meibography is a useful non-invasive tool for diagnosing *** is diagnosed in 100%of apparently normal individuals;26.9%-32.7%of which have first-degree MGL,and 67.3%-72.1%have second-degree MGL.

The data of charged particles produced in proton-proton collisions extracted from Durham particle data group at energy ranges √s = 6.3 - 17 GeV and at 0.9 - 7 TeV are investigated in the framework of Tsallis thermo-statistics and the Vlasov time dynamics. The analysis can describe the experimental data well all-over the considered energies and rapidity intervals. The variation of the collision parameters (chemical potential, entropy index and the time of evolution) is studied and discussed as a function of the final state temperature. According to the obtained result, a scenario, and a script of the time evolution for the particle production is simulated by the pp collision.

理论上来说,锂空气电池能量密度可以与汽油相媲美,未来有希望成为一种新型电池体系。在放电过程中锂离子和氧气在电池的正极发生反应,生成放电产物过氧化锂。但是,锂氧气电池仍处于初期发展阶段,在广泛商业化应用之前要克服许多挑战和问题。取决于氧还原反应（ORR）和氧析出反应（OER）的循环性能和能量转换效率是限制锂氧气电池性能的两个最严重的问题。在循环过程中,缓慢的反应动力学会导致较高的过电势。研究发现,在电池的正极添加电催化剂可显着提高放电和充电过程中的ORR和OER活性,从而显着提高锂氧气电池的性能。因此,本论文的目标是合成和研究双功能尖晶石型异质结构NiO-NiCo2O4在非质子体系的有机电解液中作为正极催化剂的催化性能,从而大幅度提高可充电锂氧气电池的电化学性能。我们使用简单的水热方法在不同的煅烧条件下合成了不同的NiO-NiCo2O4催化剂,使用DMSO作为电解液研究了这些催化剂在锂氧气电池中的电化学性能和反应机理。我们利用多种手段测试了所制备的NiO-NiCo2O4催化剂的晶体结构、比表面积、粒径、形貌等方面的物理化学性质和电化学性能。这项研究的结果证明了 NiO-NiCo2O4的异质结构和独特结构以及NiCo2O4和NiO之间的动力学效应在锂氧气电池中可以发挥优异的催化活性。对于锂氧气电池来说,NiCo2O4有助于提高氧还原反应和氧析出反应,而NiO可能会促进某些副产物的分解。独特的棒状结构导致有利于持续的氧气运输并为放电产物Li2O2提供充足的储存空间。此外,NiO-NiCo2O4微球可以通过增强锂离子和电子的传输来改善电池性能。通过电化学测试发现,用NiO-NiCo2O4微球作为正极催化剂的锂氧气电池具有非常高的充电/放电比容量20770/23163 mAhg-1（NCO-400）和较低的过电势。此外,循环稳定性也大大提高。当截容量为600 mAhg-1时,该电极可以长时间连续放电和充电,且在160多个循环内终端电压没有明显的变化,这表明NiO-NiCo2O4是一种有希望的锂氧气电池正极催化剂。

In this work, we study some changes of nuclear matter in the interactions of 28Si with emulsion nuclei at 4.5 AGeV/c. From the experimental quantities investigated using Tsallis’ statistics, we deduced the temperature, entropy density and non-equilibrium factor of the nuclear medium. These obtained parameters were used to reveal variations in the nuclear matter at the stated interaction energy. The results that came up from this study were compared with their corresponding results obtained from other heavy ion collision experiments at wide energy range.
