Effects of probiotic bacteria on survival, growth and body composition of rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) larvae fed diets with various fish meal

Objective:To compare the the effects of the diets containing various fish viscera meal and effects of probiotic bacteria(Lactobacillus sp.,Bifidobacterium *** Streptococcus sp.)on the growth,survival and carcass composition of rainbow trout ***:Twelve tanks consisting of triplicates for each treatment group were *** groups of rainbow trout(176 mg bodyweight)were fed with three diets formulated with viscera meal(VM)derived from common carp(Cyprinus carpio),or VM derived from mullet(Liza saliens and Liza auratus)or commercial diet with in-tank probiotic respectively,and three diets without probiotic 4 times a day at 5%to 6%of body weight for 45 *** trout larvae(average individual weight,176 mg)were randomly distributed with density of 4 fish/L into 18 fiberglass *** probiotic treatments a blend of selected bacteria at 104 CFU/mL were added into rearing tanks four times a *** the end of the 45-day experiment,growth performance,survival rates and carcass composition of larvae were ***:The results indicated that change to probiotic diets significantly affect growth and survival of rainbow trout larvae(P<0.05).Rainbow trout larvae fed with commercial diet with in-tank probiotics showed the highest survival rates(98%),total weight(2226 mg)and specific growth rates(7.16%/d)among treatment ***:VM derived from common carp can successfully replace more than half of marine fish meal in formulated diets for rainbow *** of in-tank blends of Lactobacillus sp.,Bifidobacterium *** Streptococcus sp.,can increase survival rates and specific growth rates in rainbow trout larvae.

H pylori seroprevalence in patients with lung cancer

AIM: To assess H pylori seroprevalence in lung cancer and determine whether there is a potential association between lung cancer and H pylori infection. METHODS: The study was conducted on forty consecutive patients with lung cancer, confirmed by pathology (32 men, 8 women; mean age 55.50 ± 11.91 years, range 16-77 years). Forty healthy subjects (25 men, 15 women; mean age 43.08 ± 12.60 years, range 20-79 years) from the patients’ family members were matched to each case subject on the basis of age and socioeconomic status. H pylori infection was detected with a commercially available immunoglobulin G (IgG) enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (Trinity kit, Biotech co., USA), previously validated in adults (86% sensitivity, 96% specificity) against a gold standard of culture and histology. RESULTS: H pylori seropositivity was present in 52.5% of patients with lung cancer in comparison to 45.0% of healthy control subjects. Although H pylori seropositivity was more frequent in lung cancer patients than in controls, the difference did not reach statistical significance (OR = 1.35, 95% CI = 0.56-3.25; P = 0.65). In addition, there was no significant difference between cases and controls in terms of gastrointestinal symptoms. CONCLUSION: The earlier described association between H pylori infection and lung cancer was not supported in this study. Further studies with larger sample sizes should be undertaken to assess the frequency of H pylori infection in patients with lung cancer and their potential association.

＜正＞With the increasing interest of organizations to join supply chains,and achieve the competitive advantages of such an act,the notion of strategic management of organization shifts to strategic management of supply chain as a whole and single *** paper studied the most available literature on strategic management of supply chain and identified 27 major factors and found the importance of each one from the viewpoint of *** this,seven factors which are more influential got identified and then the second questionnaire was developed for applying DEMATEL method and it was issued to a group of 18 chosen experts to find the causal relation among these seven factors and to find the key success factors in strategic management of supply *** results showed that participating suppliers in customers’ product development and sharing expertise and technology,as well as creating a greater level of mutual trust among supply chain members are the key success factors in implementing strategic management of supply chain and they are influential and interactive with the remaining 5 factors.

Comparison of Different Extraction Approaches for Heavy Metal Partitioning in Sediment Samples

Three extraction methods, ultrasonic assisted extraction (USE), microwave assisted extraction (MSE), and conventional single extraction (CSE), in conjunction with the modified three-stage BCR sequential extraction procedure (SEP) were applied to examine the contents of Cd, Cu, Cr, Ni, Pb and Zn from lake sediment samples, to know whether these techniques can reduce extraction time and improve reproducibility. The SEP and developed alternative single extrac- tion methods were validated by the analysis of certified reference material BCR 601. By the use of optimized sonication and microwave conditions, steps 1, 2 and 3 of the BCR sequential extraction methods (excluding the hydrogen peroxide digestion in step 3, which was not performed with sonication and microwave) could be completed in 15-30 min and 60- 150 s, respectively. The recoveries of total extractable metal contents in BCR 601, obtained by three single extractions ranged from 93.3%-102%, 88.9%-104% and 81.2%-96.2% for CSE, USE and MSE, respectively. The precision of the single extraction methods was found in the range of 3.7%-9.4% for all metals (n = 6).

Serum adipokines might predict liver histology findings in non-alcoholic fatty liver disease

AIM: To assess significance of serum adipokines to determine the histological severity of non-alcoholic fatty liver ***: Patients with persistent elevation in serum aminotransferase levels and well-defined characteristics of fatty liver at ultrasound were enrolled. Individuals with a history of alcohol consumption, hepatotoxic medication, viral hepatitis or known liver disease were excluded. Liver biopsy was performed to confirm nonalcoholic liver disease(NAFLD). The degrees of liver steatosis, lobular inflammation and fibrosis were determined based on the non-alcoholic fatty liver activity score(NAS) by a single expert pathologist. Patients with a NAS of five or higher were considered to have steatohepatitis. Those with a NAS of two or lower were defined as simple fatty liver. Binary logistic regression was used to determine the independent association of adipokines with histological findings. Receiver operating characteristic(ROC) analysis was employed to determine cut-off values of serum adipokines to discriminate the grades of liver steatosis,lobular inflammation and fibrosis. RESULTS: Fifty-four participants aged 37.02 ± 9.82 were enrolled in the study. Higher serum levels of visfatin, IL-8, TNF-α levels were associated independently with steatosis grade of more than 33% [β = 1.08(95%CI: 1.03-1.14), 1.04(95%CI: 1.008-1.07), 1.04(95%CI: 1.004-1.08), P < 0.05]. Elevated serum IL-6 and IL-8 levels were associated independently with advanced lobular inflammation [β = 1.4(95%CI: 1.09-1.8), 1.07(95%CI: 1.003-1.15), P < 0.05]. Similarly, higher TNF-α, resistin, and hepcidin levels were associated independently with advanced fibrosis stage [β = 1.06(95%CI: 1.002-1.12), 19.86(95%CI: 2.79-141.19), 560.72(95%CI: 5.98-5255.33), P < 0.05]. Serum IL-8 and TNF-α values were associated independently with the NAS score, considering a NAS score of 5 as the reference value [β = 1.05(95%CI: 1.01-1.1), 1.13(95%CI: 1.04-1.22), P < 0.05]. 2021年,中国多个省市发布政策要求光伏发电项目需配置一定比例的储能,储能配置比例为10%~20%,配置时长在1~4 h之间。储能的配置方式既可以是与光伏发电系统配套设置,也可以是由独立或共享租赁模式的储能电站进行储能。针对中国各地区采用电化学储能的独立储能及共享租赁储能电站调峰的政策进行分析,并对储能电站投资关键边界条件(比如:调峰补贴、调峰保障小时数、租赁价格、储能成本等)变化对项目内部收益率的影响进行定量测算和分析。分析结果显示:共享租赁储能电站在采用租赁叠加调峰补贴方式后已具备投资价值,而独立储能电站仅依靠调峰补贴暂不具备投资价值。

Energy Aware Task Assignment with Cost Optimization in Mobile Cloud Computing

In this paper, we are investigating the power consumption of mobile device while performing offloading system. The offloading system is way in which mobile application can be divided into local and remote execution in order to alleviate the CPU energy consumption. However, existing offloading systems do not consider data transfer communication energy while performing mobile offloading system. They have just focused on mobile CPU energy consumption. In this paper, we are investigating the energy consumption mobile CPU and communication energy collaboratively while performing mobile offloading for complex application. To cope up with the above problem, we have proposed Energy Efficient Task Scheduler (EETS) algorithm, whose aim is to determine optimal tasks execution in offloading system in order to minimize mobile CPU and communication energy. Simulation results show that EETS outperforms as compared to baseline approaches.

Latency Aware and Service Delay with Task Scheduling in Mobile Edge Computing

In a traditional Mobile Cloud Computing (MCC), a stream of data produced by mobile users (MUs) is uploaded to the remote cloud for additional processing throughout the Internet. Though, due to long WAN distance it causes high End to End latency. With the intention of minimize the average response time and key constrained Service Delay (network and cloudlet Delay) for mobile users (MUs), offload their workloads to the geographically distributed cloudlets network, we propose the Multi-layer Latency Aware Workload Assignment Strategy (MLAWAS) to allocate MUs workloads into optimal cloudlets, Simulation results demonstrate that MLAWAS earns the minimum average response time as compared with two other existing strategies.

A Parameter Varying PD Control for Fuzzy Servo Mechanism

This paper presents the formulation of novel implementation method based on parameter varying PD controller for fuzzy servo controllers. This formulation uses the approximation of fuzzy nonlinear function including error and error derivation in operation point. Obtained fuzzy control law has been employed to control angular position of servo using digital control technique applied to a typical microcontroller like AVR. The performance and robustness of modified fuzzy controller in comparison with PID controller evaluated in no load, applied external disturbance with different magnitude conditions has been studied. The simulation results showed that the proposed fuzzy controller has a considerable advantage in rise time, settling time and overshoot respect to PID controller when the servo system encounters with nonlinear features like saturation and friction.
