BACKGROUND Hepatobiliary and pancreatic(HBP)cancers impose a considerable burden on young populations(aged 15 to 49 years),resulting in a substantial number of new cases and fatalities each *** young populations,the HBP cancers shows extensive variance worldwide and the updated data in China is *** To investigate the current status,trends,projections,and underlying risk factors of HBP cancers among young populations in *** The Global Burden of Disease Study 2.19 provided data on the annual incidence,mortality,disability-adjusted life years(DALYs),age-standardized incidence rate(ASIR),mortality rate(ASMR),and DALYs rate(ASDR)of HBP cancers in young Chinese adults between 1990 and *** trends were assessed using estimated annual percentage change and hierarchical ***-specific mortality and DALYs caused by various risks were analyzed across China and other regions,with future trends until 2.35 projected using the Bayesian age-period-cohort *** From 1990 to 2.19,incident cases,deaths,DALYs,ASIR,ASMR,and ASDR for liver cancer(LC)in young Chinese individuals decreased,classified into'significant decrease'***,cases of gallbladder and biliary tract cancer and pancreatic cancer rose,categorized as either'significant increase'or'minor increase'*** contribution of risk factors to mortality and DALYs for HBP tumors increased to varying *** lifestyle behaviors,such as tobacco control,weight management,alcohol moderation,and drug avoidance,could lower HBP cancers ***,except for LC in females,which is likely to initially decline slightly and then rise,the forecasting model predicted that the ASIR and ASMR for all HPB cancers subtypes by gender will increase among young *** HBP cancers burden among young adults in China is expected to increase until 2.35,necessitating lifestyle interventions and targeted treatment strategies to mitigate the public health impact of these

Oily wastewater from ocean oil spills endangers marine ecosystems and human health. Therefore, developing an effective and sustainable solution for separating oil-water mixtures is urgent. Interfacial solar photothermal evaporation is a promising approach for the complete separation of two-phase mixtures using only solar energy. Herein, we report a carbonized wood-based absorber with Janus structure of comprising a hydrophobic top-layer and an oleophobic bottom-layer for simultaneous solar-driven oil-water separation and electricity generation. Under sunlight irradiation, the rapid evaporation of seawater will induce a separation of oil-water mixtures, and cause a high salt concentration region underlying the interface, while the bottom “bulk water” maintains in a low salt concentration, thus forming a salinity gradient. Electricity can be generated by salinity gradient power. Therefore, oil-water separation efficiency of > 99% and derived extra electricity power of ~0.1 W/m2.is achieved under solar radiation, demonstrating the feasibility of oil-water separation and electricity production synchronously directly using solar energy. This work provides a green and cost-effective path for the separation of oil-water mixtures.

Amorphous Sb/C composite with isotropic expansion property as an ultra-stable and high-rate anode for lithium-ion batteries

Antimony(Sb)is an intriguing anode material for Li-ion batteries(LIBs)owing to its high theoretical capacity of 660 m Ah·g^(-1)and appropriate working potential of~0.8 V(***^(+)/Li).However,just like all alloying materials,the Sb anode suffers from huge volume expansion(2.0%)during repeated insertion/extraction of Li+ions,resulting in structural deterioration and rapid capacity *** this work,a novel amorphous Sb/C composite with atomically dispersed Sb particles in carbon matrix is prepared via a straightforward high-energy ball milling *** intimate intermixing of amorphous Sb with C provides homogeneous element distribution and isotropic volume expansion during cycling,resulting in persistent structural ***,the disordered structure of amorphous material shortens the diffusion distance of lithium ions/electrons,promoting fast reaction kinetics and rate *** from the aforementioned effects,the amorphous Sb/C exhibits a high reversible capacity of537.4 m Ah·g^(-1)at 0.1 A·g^(-1)and retains 2.1.0 m Ah·g^(-1)at an ultrahigh current rate of 10.0 A·g^(-1).Even after 1500deep cycles at 2.0 A·g^(-1),the amorphous Sb/C electrode still maintains 86.3%of its initial capacity,which outperforms all existing Sb-based anodes reported so *** analysis further reveals a greatly reduced volume variation of merely 34.6%for the amorphous Sb/C electrode,much lower than that of 2.3.1%for crystalline Sb *** study presents a new approach to stabilizing Sb-based alloy anodes and contributes to the construction of high-performance amorphous anode materials for LIBs,enabling advanced energy storage.

Response of runoff and its components to climate change in the Manas River of the Tian Shan Mountains

A warming-wetting climate trend has led to increased runoff in most watersheds in the Tian Shan Mountains over the past few ***,it remains unclear how runoff components,that is,rainfall runoff(Rrain),snowmelt runoff(Rsnow),and glacier meltwater(Rglacier),responded to historical climate change and how they will evolve under future climate change ***,we used a modified Hydrologiska Byrans Vattenbalansavdelning(HBV)model and a detrending method to quantify the impact of precipitation and temperature changes on runoff components in the largest river(Manas River)on the northern slope of the Tian Shan Mountains from 1982.to 2.15.A multivariate calibration strategy,including snow cover,glacier area,and runoff was implemented to constrain model parameters associated with runoff *** downscaled outputs of 12.general circulation models(GCMs)from the Sixth Coupled Model Intercomparison Project(CMIP6)were also used to force the modified HBV model to project the response of runoff and its components to future(2.16-2.00)climate change under three common socio-economic pathways(SSP12.,SSP2.5,and SSP585).The results indicate that Rrain dominates mean annual runoff with a proportion of 42.,followed by Rsnow(37%)and Rglacier(2.%).In terms of inter-annual variation,Rrain and Rsnow show increasing trends(0.93(p0.05)mm per year),while Rglacier exhibits an insignificant(p>0.05)decreasing trend(-0.12.mm per year),leading to an increasing trend in total runoff(1.12.mm per year,p>0.05).The attribution analysis indicates that changes in precipitation and temperature contribute 8.16 and 10.37 mm,respectively,to the increase in runoff at the mean annual *** wetting(increased precipitation)increases Rrain(5.03 mm)and Rsnow(3.19 mm)but has a limited effect on Rglacier(-0.06 mm),while warming increases Rrain(10.69 mm)and Rglacier(5.79 mm)but decreases Rsnow(-6.12.mm).The negative effect of glacier shrinkage on Rglacier has outweighed the
