In this study,the flexural and longitudinal shear performances of two types of precast lightweight steel–ultra-high performance concrete(UHPC)composite beams are investigated,where a cluster UHPC slab(CUS)and a normal UHPC slab(NUS)are connected to a steel beam using headed studs through discontinuous shear pockets and full-length shear pockets,*** show that the longitudinal shear force of the CUS is greater than that of the NUS,whereas the interfacial slip of the former is *** to its better integrity,the CUS exhibits greater flexural stiffness and a higher ultimate bearing capacity than the *** further optimize the design parameters of the CUS,a parametric study is conducted to investigate their effects on the flexural and longitudinal shear *** square shear pocket is shown to be more applicable for the CUS,as the optimal spacing between two shear pockets is 650 ***,a design method for transverse reinforcement is proposed;the transverse reinforcement is used to withstand the splitting force caused by studs in the shear pocket and prevent the UHPC slab from *** to calculation results,the transverse reinforcement can be canceled when the compressive strength of UHPC is 150 MPa and the volume fraction of steel fiber exceeds 2.0%.

Developing non-noble catalyst synthesis under green conditions with efficient electrochemical reactions is a challenging task in green energy *** meet this challenge,the synthesis of hybridized non-noble cobalt and iron in the zeolitic-imidazole framework(Co/Fe-ZIF)through a solid-state thermal(SST)method is *** the obtained Co/Fe-ZIF structure,iron atoms are uniformly dispersed and randomly hybridized with primary cobalt atoms and imidazole linker,similar to the structure of *** hybridized Co/Fe-ZIF shows potential as an electrocatalyst for oxidation evolution reaction(OER).The optimal iron-incorporating catalyst,Co/Fe_(0.2)-ZIF,demonstrates remarkable performance with a minimized overpotential of 285 mV at the current density(j)of 10 mA·cm^(-2)in 1 M *** synergistic effect of iron and cobalt ions on the catalyst provides active sites that bind to intermediate(OOH^(*))more strongly and facilitate high electron charge transfer,enhancing efficient ***,the synergistic Co/Fe_(0.2-)ZIF catalyst demonstrates excellent durable reaction time compared to non-iron catalyst(ZIF-67)and conventional catalyst(RuO_(2)).

AIM： To construct the eukaryotic expression plasmid containing HCV NS3 segment and to analyze the expression of NS3 protein in normal human hepatocyte HL-7702.METHODS： We amplified HCV NS3 fragment from plasmid pBRTM/HCV 1-3011 containing the whole length of HCV genome, recombined it with expression vector pcDNA3.1（-） to form the eukaryotic expression vector pcDNA3.1（-）/NS3, and transfected human HL-7702 hepatocytes with the recombined plasmid by cationic polymers. The expressed HCV NS3 protein was detected and analyzed by immunohistochemical method and Western blot.RESULTS： The amplified NS3 fragments had correct molecule weight and sequence. The successfully constructed eukaryotic expression plasmids were transfected to HL-7702 cells. The expressed NS3 proteins had correct molecular weight 70000.CONCLUSION： Eukaryotic expression vector pcDNA3.1 （-）/NS3 containing NS3 segment of HCV can be constructed, the sequence of NS3 fragments is consistent with the template. Normal human HL-7702 hepatocytes can efficiently express specific HCV NS3 protein in vitro.

The components of the essential oils obtained from different parts of Daacus carota ***. saliva Hoffm were analyzed. The percentages of the essential oils extracted are 0. 27% （ mL/100 g material） for the flowers, 0. 0/% for the stems and leaves and 0. 01% for the roots. Fifty-four, Sixty-six and Thirty-three compounds were,respectively, separated and identified from the flowers, the stems and leaves and the roots, among which unsaturated alkene compounds are thirty-nine, thirty-nine and twenty-one, respectively, accounting in turn for up to 90. 21%, 90. 49% and 72. 65% of the total essential oils. Because alkene compounds have double bonds that are easily oxidized, it can he inferred that the components of the essential oils in the different parts of Daucus carota L. var. saliva Hoffm should show an activity of the antioformation of free radicals to some extent.

Ischemic stroke is a cerebrovascular disease associated with high mortality and disability rates. Since the inflammation and immune response play a central role in driving ischemic damage, it becomes essential to modulate excessive inflammatory reactions to promote cell survival and facilitate tissue repair around the injury site. Various cell types are involved in the inflammatory response, including microglia, astrocytes, and neutrophils, each exhibiting distinct phenotypic profiles upon stimulation. They display either proinflammatory or anti-inflammatory states, a phenomenon known as ‘cell polarization.’ There are two cell polarization therapy strategies. The first involves inducing cells into a neuroprotective phenotype in vitro, then reintroducing them autologously. The second approach utilizes small molecular substances to directly affect cells in vivo. In this review, we elucidate the polarization dynamics of the three reactive cell populations(microglia, astrocytes, and neutrophils) in the context of ischemic stroke, and provide a comprehensive summary of the molecular mechanisms involved in their phenotypic switching. By unraveling the complexity of cell polarization, we hope to offer insights for future research on neuroinflammation and novel therapeutic strategies for ischemic stroke.

Background Preoperative planning for children with congenital heart diseases remains crucial and *** study aimed to investigate the roles of three-dimensional printed patient-specific heart models in the presurgical planning for complex congenital heart *** From May 2017 to January 2018,15 children diagnosed with complex congenital heart disease were included in this *** models were printed based on computed tomography (CT) imaging reconstruction by a 3D printer with photosensitive resin using the stereolithography apparatus *** options were first evaluated by a sophisticated cardiac surgery group using CT images only,and then surgical plans were also set up based on heart *** Fifteen 3D printed heart models were successfully *** to the decisions based on CT,13 cases were consistent with real options,while the other 2 were *** to 3D printed heart models,all the 15 cases were consistent with real ***,one child diagnosed with complete transposition of great arteries combined with interruption of aortic arch (type A) died 5 days after operation due to postoperative low cardiac output *** cardiologists,especially the younger ones,considered that these 3D printed heart models with tangible,physical and comprehensive illustrations were beneficial for preoperative planning of complex congenital heart *** 3D printed heart models are beneficial and promising in preoperative planning for complex congenital heart diseases,and are able to help conform or even improve the surgery options.

Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis is a rare neurodegenerative disease characterized by the involvement of both upper and lower motor *** bilateral limb involvement significantly affects patients'daily lives and may lead them to be confined to ***,the effect of upper and lower motor neuron impairment and other risk factors on bilateral limb involvement is *** address this issue,we retrospectively collected data from 586 amyotrophic lateral sclerosis patients with limb onset diagnosed at Peking University Third Hospital between January 2020 and May 2022.A univariate analysis revealed no significant differences in the time intervals of spread in different directions between individuals with upper motor neuron-dominant amyotrophic lateral sclerosis and those with classic amyotrophic lateral *** used causal directed acyclic graphs for risk factor determination and Cox proportional hazards models to investigate the association between the duration of bilateral limb involvement and clinical baseline characteristics in amyotrophic lateral sclerosis *** factor analyses revealed that higher upper motor neuron scores(hazard ratio[HR]=1.05,95%confidence interval[CI]=1.01–1.09,P=0.018),onset in the left limb(HR=0.72,95%CI=0.58–0.89,P=0.002),and a horizontal pattern of progression(HR=0.46,95%CI=0.37–0.58,P<0.001)were risk factors for a shorter interval until bilateral limb *** results demonstrated that a greater degree of upper motor neuron involvement might cause contralateral limb involvement to progress more quickly in limb-onset amyotrophic lateral sclerosis *** findings may improve the management of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis patients with limb onset and the prediction of patient prognosis.
