We previously demonstrated that normal high-density lipoprotein(nHDL)can promote angiogenesis,whereas HDL from patients with coronary artery disease(d HDL)is dysfunctional and impairs *** plays a critical role in angiogenesis,and HDL regulates ***,it is unclear whether n HDL and d HDL regulate angiogenesis by affecting *** cells(ECs)were treated with n HDL and d HDL with or without an autophagy ***,endothelial nitric oxide synthase(e NOS)expression,miRNA expression,nitric oxide(NO)production,superoxide anion(O2^(·-))generation,EC migration,and tube formation were evaluated.n HDL suppressed the expression of miR-181a-5p,which promotes autophagy and the expression of e NOS,resulting in NO production and the inhibition of O2^(·-)generation,and ultimately increasing in EC migration and tube formation.d HDL showed opposite effects compared to n HDL and ultimately inhibited EC migration and tube *** found that autophagy-related protein 5(ATG5)was a direct target of ***5 silencing or miR-181a-5p mimic inhibited n HDL-induced autophagy,e NOS expression,NO production,EC migration,tube formation,and enhanced O2^(·-)generation,whereas overexpression of ATG5 or miR-181a-5p inhibitor reversed the above effects of d ***5 expression and angiogenesis were decreased in the ischemic lower limbs of hypercholesterolemic low-density lipoprotein receptor null(LDLr^(-/-))mice when compared to C57BL/6 ***5 overexpression improved angiogenesis in ischemic hypercholesterolemic LDLr^(-/-)*** together,nHDL was able to stimulate autophagy by suppressing miR-181a-5p,subsequently increasing e NOS expression,which generated NO and promoted *** contrast,d HDL inhibited angiogenesis,at least partially,by increasing miR-181a-5p expression,which decreased autophagy and e NOS expression,resulting in a decrease in NO production and an increase in O2^(·-)*** findings reveal a nov

Mountainous areas are of special hydrological concern because topography and atmospheric conditions can result in large and sudden floods,posing serious risks to water-related safety in neighbouring *** Yarlung Zangbo(YZ)River basin is the largest river basin on the Tibetan Plateau(TP),but how floods will discharge in this basin and how the role of glacier melt in floods will change throughout the 21st-century under shared socioeconomic pathways scenarios(SSP2-4.5 and SSP5-8.5)remain ***,we comprehensively address this scientific question based on a well-validated large-scale glacier-hydrology *** results indicate that extreme floods was projected to increase in the YZ basin,and was mainly reflected in increased duration(4–10 d per decade)and intensity(153–985 m^(3)s^(−1)per decade).Glacier runoff was projected to increase(2–30 mm per decade)throughout the 21st-century,but there was also a noticeable decrease or deceleration in glacier runoff growth in the late first half of the century under the SSP2-4.5,and in the latter half of the century under the *** melt was projected to enhance the duration(12%–23%)and intensity(15%–21%)of extreme floods under both SSPs,which would aggravate the impact of future floods on the socioeconomics of the YZ *** effect was gradually overwhelmed by precipitation-induced floods from glacier areas to YZ *** study takes the YZ basin as a projection framework example to help enrich the understanding of future flood hazards in basins affected by rainfall-or meltwater across the TP,and to help policy-makers and water managers develop future plans.

The precise control of receptor levels is crucial for initiating cellular signaling transduction in response to specific ligands;however,such mechanisms regulating nodulation factor(NF)receptor(NFR)-mediated perception of NFs to establish symbiosis remain *** this study,we unveil the pivotal role of the NFR-interacting RING-type E3 ligase 1(NIRE1)in regulating NFR1/NFR5 homeostasis to optimize rhizobial infection and nodule development in Lotus *** demonstrated that NiRE1 has a dual function in this regulatory *** associates with both NFR1 and NFR5,facilitating their degradation through K48-linked polyubiquitination before rhizobial ***,following rhizobial inoculation,NFR1 phosphorylates NIRE1ata conserved residue,Tyr-109,inducing a functional switch in NIRE1,which enables NIRE1tomediateK63-linkedpolyubiquitination,thereby stabilizing NFR1/NFR5 in infected root *** introduction of phospho-dead NIRE1Y1osF leads to delayed nodule development,underscoring the significance of phosphorylation at Tyr-1o9 in orchestrating symbiotic ***,expression of the phospho-mimic NIRE1Y0E results in the formation of spontaneous nodules in ***,further emphasizing the critical role of the phosphorylation-dependent functional switch in *** summary,these findings uncover a fine-tuned symbiotic mechanism that a single E3 ligase could undergo a phosphorylationdependent functional switch to dynamically and precisely regulate NF receptor protein levels.

Sulfydryl-contained(-SH)substances including hydrogen sulfide(H_(2)S),cysteine(Cys),homocysteine(Hcy)and glutathione(GSH)play crucial roles in living systems,and their variations are closely associated with various ***,we developed a near-infrared intramolecular charge transfer(ICT)based fluorescent probe Y-NBD,achieving detection of Cys/Hcy and H_(2)S with different fluorescent signals(green-red for Cys/Hcy,red for H_(2)S),large Stokes shifts(∼100/105nm or 191 nm)and high signal-background-ratio,but not responding to GSH.Y-NBD was successfully applied to image exogenous/endogenous Cys/Hcy and H_(2)S in various living cancer cells(HeLa,A549,and HepG2)and in *** not only visualized the transformation pathway of several thiols in HepG2 cells but also verified that the intestine is the main site for the activation and metabolism of Y-NBD in zebrafish,as well as realized to evaluate the degree of drug-induced liver *** work provides a promising tool for imaging Cys/Hcy and H_(2)S in living systems and shows great potency in evaluating drug-induced liver injury and its treatment.

Open-shell graphene nanostructures(GNs)are promising candidates for future spintronics and quantum *** progress based on on-surface synthetic approach has successfully created such GNs on metallic ***,the doping effect of metallic surfaces is inevitably present and can significantly tune their electronic and magnetic ***,we investigate the zigzag end states of open-shell 7-armchair graphene nanoribbons(7-AGNRs)on Au(111),Au(100)and Ag(111)*** with the manipulation of a scanning tunneling microscope,we demonstrate that the end states can be tuned from empty states to singly occupied states and to doubly occupied states by substrate ***,the singly occupied states can be finely tuned,with the occupancy number of the states and related magnetic behaviors uncovered by experiments at different temperatures and magnetic *** results provide a comprehensive study of the magnetic response of open-shell GNs on metallic surfaces at different doping levels.

Centrifugal pumps are widely used in the metallurgy,coal,and building *** order to study the hydraulic characteristics of a closed impeller centrifugal pump during its shutdown in the so-called power frequency and frequency conversion modes,experiments were carried to determine the characteristic evolution of parameters such as speed,inlet and outlet pressure,head,flow rate and shaft power.A quasi-steady-state method was also used to further investigate these transient *** results show that,compared to the power frequency input,the performance parameter curves for the frequency conversion input are less volatile and *** characteristic time is longer and the response to shutdown is *** quasi-steady-state theoretical head-flow curves match the experimental head-flow curves more closely at low flow rates when the frequency conversion input is ***,in this case,the similarity law predicts the hydraulic performance more accurately.

High Fischer ratio oligopeptides(HFROs)are a group of oligopeptides containing high levels of branched-chain amino acids(BCAA)and low levels of aromatic amino acids(AAA).HFROs have received a lot of attention as they are believed to have significant physiological activities,including antioxidant,liver damage repair,anti-fatigue,anti-tumor and energy supply to the *** are available from a wide range of sources and both plant and animal proteins can be used to prepare HFROs but the physiological tolerability and rejection of special populations needs to be *** hydrolysis is the most common method for the preparation of HFROs,but optimization of the separation and purification process is still needed in the *** caused by disruptions in the balance of BCAA and AAA in the blood,such as hepatic encephalopathy,can be treated by supplementing HFROs with drugs or *** addition,HFROs are able to reduce fatigue feedback and assist in the treatment of phenylketonuria at the molecular nutrient *** aim of this review is to review recent research on HFROs and provide new perspectives on the high value use of crops and the development of novel functional and special medical purpose foods.

Recently,increasing natural infection cases and experimental animal challenge studies demonstrated domestic cats are susceptible to multiple subtypes influenza A virus(IAV)***,some subtype IAV strains could circulate in domestic cats after cross-species transmission and even infected humans,posing a threat to public *** factors related to viral polymerase activity could determine host range of IAV and acidic nuclear phosphoprotein 32(ANP32)is the most important one among ***,role of cat-derived ANP32 on viral polymerase activity and host range of IAV is still *** the present study,a total of 10 feline ANP32(feANP32)splice variants(including 5 feANP32A,3 feANP32B,and 2 feANP32E)were obtained from domestic cats by *** alignment results demonstrated amino acid deletions and/or insertions occurred among feANP32 variants,but all feANP32 proteins were primarily localized to cell *** replication systems for several representative IAV strains were established and the support ability of feANP32 on IAV polymerase activity was *** results indicated that most feANP32A and feANP32B splice variants were able to support all the tested IAV strains,though the support activity of a single feANP32 protein on polymerase activity varied among different IAV *** addition,the role of feANP32 in supporting H3N2 canine influenza virus was determined by investigating viral replication in ***,our study systematically investigated the support activity of feANP32 on IAV,providing a clue for further exploring the mechanism of susceptibility of cats to IAV.
