Regulation the electronic density of solid-state electrolyte by donor–acceptor(D–A)system can achieve highly-selective Li^(+)transportation and conduction in solid-state Li metal *** study reports a high-performance solid-state electrolyte thorough D–A-linked covalent organic frameworks(COFs)based on intramolecular charge transfer *** other reported COFbased solid-state electrolyte,the developed concept with D–A-linked COFs not only achieves electronic modulation to promote highly-selective Li^(+)migration and inhibit Li dendrite,but also offers a crucial opportunity to understand the role of electronic density in solid-state Li metal *** introduced strong electronegativity F-based ligand in COF electrolyte results in highlyselective Li^(+)(transference number 0.83),high ionic conductivity(6.7×10^(-4)S cm^(−1)),excellent cyclic ability(1000 h)in Li metal symmetric cell and high-capacity retention in Li/LiFePO_(4)cell(90.8%for 300 cycles at 5C)than substituted C-and N-based *** is ascribed to outstanding D–A interaction between donor porphyrin and acceptor F atoms,which effectively expedites electron transferring from porphyrin to F-based ligand and enhances Li^(+)***,we anticipate that this work creates insight into the strategy for accelerating Li^(+)conduction in high-performance solid-state Li metal batteries through D–A system.

This paper investigates the heat transfer characteristics of a thermoelectric generator. The influence of heat dissipation intensity to the sub-thermal resistances distribution is experimentally studied. Based on the thermal network analysis and finite time thermodynamics, an analytical model including all thermal resistances (in both thermocouples and external heat exchangers) is developed to predict the performance of the generator. The results show that the computed values of output power agree well with the experimental values. The heat transfer enhancement on the generator cold side greatly reduces the cold side temperature and thermal resistance, and obviously improves the output power. Compare with air natural convection cooling, the main thermal resistance changes from the resistance between the fins and the ambient to the thermal contact resistances between the generator and the heat sink at the conditions of forced convection and water cooling. This study may be guide the optimization of generator structure.

Sterile inflammation characterized by unresolved chronic inflammation is well established to promote the progression of multiple autoimmune diseases,metabolic disorders,neurodegenerative diseases,and cardiovascular diseases,collectively termed‘sterile inflammatory diseases’.By recognizing host-derived DNA,cyclic guanosine monophosphate–adenosine monophosphate synthase(cGAS)activates endoplasmic reticulum-associated stimulator of interferon genes(STING),which leads to the induction of type I interferons and inflammatory cytokines or immunogenic cell death that promotes sterile ***,the DNA/cGAS-independent mode of STING activation has also been characterized in the progression of several sterile inflammatory *** review focuses on the molecular mechanism of cGAS-dependent and cGAS-independent STING signaling under various disease conditions,particularly highlighting the diverse initiators upon this signaling *** also summarize recent advances in the discovery of antagonists targeting cGAS and STING and the evaluation of their efficiencies in preclinical ***,we discuss potential differences in the clinical applications of the specific antagonists,which may shed light on the precision therapeutic interventions.

Characteristic changes in astrocyte properties during astrocyte-to-neuron conversion induced by NeuroD1/Ascl1/Dlx2

Direct in vivo conversion of astrocytes into functional new neurons induced by neural transcription factors has been recognized as a potential new therapeutic intervention for neural injury and degenerative disorders. However, a few recent studies have claimed that neural transcription factors cannot convert astrocytes into neurons, attributing the converted neurons to pre-existing neurons mis-expressing transgenes. In this study, we overexpressed three distinct neural transcription factors––NeuroD1, Ascl1, and Dlx2––in reactive astrocytes in mouse cortices subjected to stab injury, resulting in a series of significant changes in astrocyte properties. Initially, the three neural transcription factors were exclusively expressed in the nuclei of astrocytes. Over time, however, these astrocytes gradually adopted neuronal morphology, and the neural transcription factors was gradually observed in the nuclei of neuron-like cells instead of astrocytes. Furthermore,we noted that transcription factor-infected astrocytes showed a progressive decrease in the expression of astrocytic markers AQP4(astrocyte endfeet signal), CX43(gap junction signal), and S100β. Importantly, none of these changes could be attributed to transgene leakage into preexisting neurons. Therefore, our findings suggest that neural transcription factors such as NeuroD1, Ascl1, and Dlx2 can effectively convert reactive astrocytes into neurons in the adult mammalian brain.

In flowering plants, male gametes are delivered to female gametes for double fertilization through pollen tubes. Therefore, pollen tube growth is crucial for double fertilization. Despite its importance to sexual reproduction, genetic mechanisms of pollen tube growth remain poorly understood. In this study, we characterized the receptor-like cytoplasmic protein kinase （RLCK） gene, MARLS （MRI） that plays critical roles in pollen tube growth. MRI is preferentially expressed in pollen grains, pollen tubes and roots. Mutation in MRI by a Ds insertion led to a burst of pollen tubes after pollen germination. Pollen-rescue assay by pollen and pollen tubespecific expression of MRI in the mri-4 mutant showed that loss of MRI function also severely affected root hair elongation. MRI protein interacted with the protein kinase OXIDATIVE SIGNAL INDUCIBLEI （OXII） in the in vitro and in vivo assays, which functions in plant defence and root hair development, and was phosphorylated by OXII in vitro. Our results suggest that MRI plays important roles in pollen tube growth and may function in root hair elongation through interaction with OXII.

Ultrasonic Study on Jahn-Teller Distortions in La1/3Sr2/3CoO3

The longitudinal ultrasonic velocity （V1）, attenuation （α1）, magnetization and resistivity of single phase polycrystalline La1/3Sr2/3CoO3 were measured as a function of temperature from 20 K to 300 K. The resistivity shows metallic behavior in the whole temperature range and a kink at 235 K was observed, which coincides with the ferromagnetic transition temperature （Tc）. As the temperature cools down from Tc, the V1 softens conspicuously at beginning and reaches a minimum at 120 K. After that the V1 dramatically stiffens below 120 K accompanied by a wide attenuation peak. The analysis of the results suggests that these ultrasonic anomalies ;nay correspond to local lattice distortions via the Jahn-Teller effect of intermediate spin Co^3＋.
