BACKGROUND Patients with resectable gastric adenocarcinoma accompanied by vascular cancer thrombus(RGAVCT)have a poor prognosis,with a 5-year survival rate ranging from 18.42%-53.57%.These patients need a reasonable postoperative treatment plan to improve their *** To determine the most effective postoperative chemotherapy regimen for patients with *** We retrospectively collected the clinicopathological data of 530 patients who un-derwent radical resection for gastric cancer between January 2017 and January 2022 and who were pathologically diagnosed with gastric adenocarcinoma with a choroidal cancer ***-thermore,we identified the high-risk variables that can influence the prognosis of patients with RGAVCT by asse-ssing the clinical and pathological features of the patients who met the inclusion *** also assessed the significance of survival outcomes using Mantel-Cox univariate and multivariate *** subgroups of pa-tients with stages I,II,and III disease who received single-,dual-,or triple-drug regimens following surgery were analyzed using SPSS 25.0 and the ggplot2 package in R *** In all,530 eligible individuals with RGAVCT were enrolled in this *** median overall survival(OS)of patients with RGAVCT was 24 months,and the survival rates were 80.2%,62.5%,and 42.3%at 12,24,and 59 months,*** complications,tumor size,T stage,and postoperative chemotherapy were identified as independent factors that influenced OS in patients with RGAVCT according to the Cox multivariate analysis model.A Kaplan-Meier analysis revealed that chemotherapy had no effect on OS of patients with stage I or II RGAVCT;however,chemotherapy did have an effect on OS of stage III *** III patients who were treated with chemotherapy consisting of dual-or triple-agent regimens had better survival than those treated with single-agent regimens,and no significant difference was observed in the survival of patien

Oily wastewater from ocean oil spills endangers marine ecosystems and human health. Therefore, developing an effective and sustainable solution for separating oil-water mixtures is urgent. Interfacial solar photothermal evaporation is a promising approach for the complete separation of two-phase mixtures using only solar energy. Herein, we report a carbonized wood-based absorber with Janus structure of comprising a hydrophobic top-layer and an oleophobic bottom-layer for simultaneous solar-driven oil-water separation and electricity generation. Under sunlight irradiation, the rapid evaporation of seawater will induce a separation of oil-water mixtures, and cause a high salt concentration region underlying the interface, while the bottom “bulk water” maintains in a low salt concentration, thus forming a salinity gradient. Electricity can be generated by salinity gradient power. Therefore, oil-water separation efficiency of > 99% and derived extra electricity power of ~0.1 W/m2 is achieved under solar radiation, demonstrating the feasibility of oil-water separation and electricity production synchronously directly using solar energy. This work provides a green and cost-effective path for the separation of oil-water mixtures.

Response of runoff and its components to climate change in the Manas River of the Tian Shan Mountains

A warming-wetting climate trend has led to increased runoff in most watersheds in the Tian Shan Mountains over the past few ***,it remains unclear how runoff components,that is,rainfall runoff(Rrain),snowmelt runoff(Rsnow),and glacier meltwater(Rglacier),responded to historical climate change and how they will evolve under future climate change ***,we used a modified Hydrologiska Byrans Vattenbalansavdelning(HBV)model and a detrending method to quantify the impact of precipitation and temperature changes on runoff components in the largest river(Manas River)on the northern slope of the Tian Shan Mountains from 1982 to 2015.A multivariate calibration strategy,including snow cover,glacier area,and runoff was implemented to constrain model parameters associated with runoff *** downscaled outputs of 12 general circulation models(GCMs)from the Sixth Coupled Model Intercomparison Project(CMIP6)were also used to force the modified HBV model to project the response of runoff and its components to future(2016-2100)climate change under three common socio-economic pathways(SSP126,SSP245,and SSP585).The results indicate that Rrain dominates mean annual runoff with a proportion of 42%,followed by Rsnow(37%)and Rglacier(21%).In terms of inter-annual variation,Rrain and Rsnow show increasing trends(0.93(p0.05)mm per year),while Rglacier exhibits an insignificant(p>0.05)decreasing trend(-0.12 mm per year),leading to an increasing trend in total runoff(1.12 mm per year,p>0.05).The attribution analysis indicates that changes in precipitation and temperature contribute 8.16 and 10.37 mm,respectively,to the increase in runoff at the mean annual *** wetting(increased precipitation)increases Rrain(5.03 mm)and Rsnow(3.19 mm)but has a limited effect on Rglacier(-0.06 mm),while warming increases Rrain(10.69 mm)and Rglacier(5.79 mm)but decreases Rsnow(-6.12 mm).The negative effect of glacier shrinkage on Rglacier has outweighed the

During continuous casting of steel slabs,the application of electromagnetic braking technology(EMBr)provides an effective tool to influence solidification by controlling the pattern of melt flow in the ***,the quality of the final product can be improved considerably.A new electromagnetic braking(EMBr)method,named vertical-combined electromagnetic braking(VC-EMBr),is proposed to be applied to a flexible thin slab casting(FTSC)*** evaluate the beneficial effects of the VC-EMBr,the melt flow,heat transfer,and solidification processes in the FTSC mold are studied by means of numerical *** detail,a Reynolds-averaged Navier–Stokes turbulence model together with an enthalpy-porosity approach was *** numerical findings are compared with respective simulations using the traditional *** results demonstrate that the application of the VC-EMBr contributes significantly to preventing relative slab *** contrast to the Ruler-EMBr,the additional vertical magnetic poles of the VC-EMBr preferentially suppress the direct impact of jet flow on the narrow face of FSTC mold and considerably diminish the level fluctuation near the meniscus *** instance,by applying a magnetic flux density of 0.3 T,the maximum amplitude of meniscus deflection reduces by about 80%.Moreover,the braking effect of the VC-EMBr effectively improves the homogeneity of temperature distribution in the upper recirculation region and increases the solidified shell thickness along the casting *** this basis,the newly proposed VC-EMBr shows a beneficial effect in preventing relative slab defects for FTSC thin slab continuous casting.

Dietary exposure to aflatoxin B1(AFB1)is harmful to the health and performance of domestic *** hepatic cytochrome P450s(CYPs),CYP1A1 and CYP2A6,are the primary enzymes responsible for the bioactivation of AFB1to the highly toxic exo-AFB1-8,9-epoxide(AFBO)in ***,the transcriptional regulation mechanism of these CYP genes in the liver of chicks in AFB1metabolism remains ***-luciferase reporter assay,bioinformatics and site-directed mutation results indicated that specificity protein 1(SP1)and activator protein-1(AP-1)motifs were located in the core region-1,063/-948,-606/-541 of the CYP1A1 promoter as well as-636/-595,-503/-462,-147/-1 of the CYP2A6 ***,overexpression and decoy oligodeoxynucleotide technologies demonstrated that SP1 and AP-1 were pivotal transcriptional activators regulating the promoter activity of CYP1A1 and ***,bioactivation of AFB1to AFBO could be increased by upregulation of CYP1A1 and CYP2A6 expression,which was trans-activated owing to the upregulation of AP-1,rather than SP1,stimulated by AFB1-induced reactive oxygen ***,nano-selenium could reduce ROS,downregulate AP-1 expression and then decrease the expression of CYP1A1 and CYP2A6,thus alleviating the toxicity of *** conclusion,AP-1 and SP1 played important roles in the transactivation of CYP1A1 and CYP2A6 expression and further bioactivated AFB1to AFBO in chicken liver,which could provide novel targets for the remediation of aflatoxicosis in chicks.

Spectral Fittings of Warm Coronal Radiation with High Seed Photon Temperature: Apparent Low-temperature and Flat Soft Excess in AGNs

A warm corona has been widely proposed to explain the soft excess （SE） in X-ray above the 2–10 ke V power law extrapolation in Active Galactic Nuclei （AGNs）.In actual spectral fittings,the warm coronal seed photon temperature（Ts） is usually assumed to be far away from the soft X-ray,but kTscan reach close to 0.1 ke V in the standard accretion disk *** this study,we used Monte Carlo simulations to obtain radiation spectra from a slab-like warm corona and fitted the spectra using the spherical-geometry-based routine THCOMP or a thermal *** findings reveal tha high Tscan influence the fitting results.A moderately high kTs（around 0.03 ke V） can result in an apparent low-temperature and flat SE,while an extremely high kTs（around 0.07 ke V） can even produce an unobserved blackbody-like *** conclusions indicate that,for spectral fittings of the warm coronal radiation （SE in AGNs）,kTsshould be treated as a free parameter with an upper limit,and an accurate coronal geometry is necessary when kTs>0.01 ke V.

An innovative complex lidar system deployed on an airborne rotorcraft platform for remote sensing of atmospheric pollution is proposed and *** system incorporates integrated-path differential absorption lidar(DIAL) and coherent-doppler lidar(CDL) techniques using a dual tunable TEA CO_(2)laser in the 9—11 μm band and a 1.55 μm fiber *** combining the principles of differential absorption detection and pulsed coherent detection,the system enables agile and remote sensing of atmospheric *** static tests validate the system’s real-time detection capabilities,including the measurement of concentration-path-length product(CL),front distance,and path wind speed of air pollution plumes over long distances exceeding 4 *** experiments is conducted with the *** of the pollutant concentration and the wind field is carried out in an approximately 1 km slant range over scanning angle ranges from 45°to 65°,with a radial resolution of 30 m and10 *** test results demonstrate the system’s ability to spatially map atmospheric pollution plumes and predict their motion and dispersion patterns,thereby ensuring the protection of public safety.

Research on Pulsar Time Steered Atomic Time Algorithm Based on DPLL

In today’s society,there is a wide demand for high-precision and high-stability time service in the fields of electric power,communication,transportation and *** present,the time standard in various countries is mainly based on atomic clocks,but the frequency drift of atomic clocks will affect the long-term stability *** with atomic clocks,millisecond pulsars have better long-term stability and can complement with the excellent short-term stability of atomic *** order to improve the long-term stability of the atomic timescale,and then improve the timing accuracy,this paper proposes an algorithm for steering the atomic clock ensemble(ACE)by ensemble pulsar time(EPT)based on digital phase locked loop(DPLL).First,the ACE and EPT are generated by the ALGOS algorithm,then the ACE is steered by EPT based on DPLL to calibrate the long-term frequency drift of the atomic clock,so that the generated steered atomic time follows both the short-term stability characteristics of ACE and the long-term stability characteristics of EPT,and finally,the steered atomic time is used to calibrate the local cesium *** experimental results show that the long-term stability of atomic time after steering is improved by 2 orders of magnitude compared with that before steering,and the daily drift of a local cesium clock after calibration is less than 9.47 ns in 3 yr,3 orders of magnitude higher than that before calibration on accuracy.

Pressure transient characteristics of non-uniform conductivity fractured wells in viscoelasticity polymer flooding based on oil-water two-phase flow

Polymer flooding in fractured wells has been extensively applied in oilfields to enhance oil *** contrast to water,polymer solution exhibits non-Newtonian and nonlinear behavior such as effects of shear thinning and shear thickening,polymer convection,diffusion,adsorption retention,inaccessible pore volume and reduced effective ***,the flux density and fracture conductivity along the hydraulic fracture are generally non-uniform due to the effects of pressure distribution,formation damage,and proppant *** this paper,we present an oil-water two-phase flow model that captures these complex non-Newtonian and nonlinear behavior,and non-uniform fracture characteristics in fractured polymer *** hydraulic fracture is firstly divided into two parts:high-conductivity fracture near the wellbore and low-conductivity fracture in the far-wellbore section.A hybrid grid system,including perpendicular bisection(PEBI)and Cartesian grid,is applied to discrete the partial differential flow equations,and the local grid refinement method is applied in the near-wellbore region to accurately calculate the pressure distribution and shear rate of polymer *** combination of polymer behavior characterizations and numerical flow simulations are applied,resulting in the calculation for the distribution of water saturation,polymer concentration and reservoir *** with the polymer flooding well with uniform fracture conductivity,this non-uniform fracture conductivity model exhibits the larger pressure difference,and the shorter bilinear flow period due to the decrease of fracture flow ability in the far-wellbore *** field case of the fall-off test demonstrates that the proposed method characterizes fracture characteristics more accurately,and yields fracture half-lengths that better match engineering reality,enabling a quantitative segmented characterization of the near-wellbore section with high fracture conductivity and th
