Amino acid assisted aqueous synthesis of highly stable CsPbBr_(3)nanocrystals for cell imaging

Lead halide perovskite nanocrystals(NCs)exhibit excellent optoelectronic performance and have drawn great interests in the fields of biological imaging and ***,the poor stability of CsPbX_(3)(X=Cl,Br,I)in water is still a challenge to hinder their practical *** this work,a facile strategy has been developed for aqueous synthesis of CsPbX_(3) nanocrystals,in which L-glutamic acid(LGlu)has been used to replace oleic acid in the synthetic *** from the synergic effects of L-Glu and oleylamine(OAm),CsPbBr_(3)nanocrystals(L-Glu/OAm-CsPbBr_(3)NCs)with high water stability have been directly prepared under a mild condition at room temperature in water,facilitated by the process of crystal phase transformation from Cs_(4)PbBr_(6) to CsPbBr_(3).L-Glu/OAm-CsPbBr_(3)NCs exhibit a high quantum yield of 85%and a narrow full width at half maximum of 16 nm,demonstrating their efficient luminescence in ***,L-Glu on the surface have contributed greatly to an acidic environment and passivation of surface defects,improving the water stability and dispersibility of CsPbBr_(3)***,L-Glu/OAm-CsPbBr_(3)NCs exhibit great biocompatibility due to the presence of L-Glu,resulting in their good performance for HeLa cell ***,we propose a facile and effective method to prepare CsPbBr_(3)nanocrystals with excellent water stability by using L-Glu and OAm as cooperated ligands and expand their application in cell imaging.

One of the primary goals of space-borne gravitational wave detectors is to detect and analyze extreme-mass-ratio inspirals(EMRIs). This task is particularly challenging because EMRI signals are complex, lengthy, and faint. In this work, we introduce a2-layer convolutional neural network(CNN) approach to detect EMRI signals for space-borne detectors, achieving a true positive rate(TPR) of 96.9% at a 1% false positive rate(FPR) for signal-to-noise ratio(SNR) from 50 to 100. Especially, the key intrinsic parameters of EMRIs such as the mass, spin of the supermassive black hole(SMBH) and the initial eccentricity of the orbit can also be inferred directly by employing a neural network. The mass and spin of the SMBH can be determined at 99% and 92% respectively. This will greatly reduce the parameter spaces and computing cost for the following Bayesian parameter *** model also has a low dependency on the accuracy of the waveform model. This study underscores the potential of deep learning methods in EMRI data analysis, enabling the rapid detection of EMRI signals and efficient parameter estimation.

The present study aims to examine the suitability of two commonly used assumptions that simplify modelling metoceanconditions for designing offshore wind turbines in the South China Sea (SCS). The first assumption assumes thatjoint N-year extreme wind and wave events can be independently estimated and subsequently combined. The secondone assumes peak wind and waves can be modelled as occurring simultaneously during a tropical cyclone (TC) *** better understand the potential TC activity, a set of 10000 years synthetic TC events are generated. The wind fieldmodel and the Mike 21 spectral wave model are employed to model the TC-induced hazards. Subsequently, theeffect of the assumptions is evaluated by analyzing the peak structural response of both monopile and semisubmersibleoffshore wind turbines during TC events. The results demonstrate that the examined assumptions are generally *** assessing the implications of these assumptions, valuable insights are obtained, which can inform andimprove the modelling of TC-induced hazards in the SCS region.

The problem of the quantized dynamic output feedback controller design for networked control systems is mainly discussed. By using the quantized information of the system measurement output and the control input, a novel networked control system model is described. This model includes many networkinduced features, such as multi-rate sampled-data, quantized signal, time-varying delay and packet dropout. By constructing suitable Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional, a less conservative stabilization criterion is established in terms of linear matrix inequalities. The quantized control strategy involves the updating values of the quantizer parameters μi（i = 1, 2）（μi take on countable sets of values which dependent on the information of the system measurement outputs and the control inputs）. Furthermore, a numerical example is given to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.

A well-defined quadruple hydrogen bonding strategy involving dimerization of 2-ureido-4[1H]-pyrimidone(UPy)units is innovatively designed to prepare polyureas with high overall mechanical *** polyureas containing different amounts of UPy units were synthesized by replacing a portion of isophorone diisocyanate(IPDI)with a UPy-derived *** formation of quadruple hydrogen bonds in hard segments via UPy dimers was confirmed by nuclear magnetic resonance(NMR)and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR).The mechanical properties of the polyureas were evaluated by uniaxial tensile *** to the polyurea without UPy units,remarkable improvements in Young’s modulus,tensile strength,and toughness were simultaneously achieved when UPy units were *** mechanism behind the strong strengthening effect rooted in the stronger intermolecular forces among hard segments brought by the quadruple hydrogen bonds,which were stronger than the inherent bidentate and monodentate hydrogen bonds among urea groups,and the slower soft segmental dynamics reaveled by both increased Tg and relaxation time of the soft *** mechanism behind the strong toughening effect was ascribed to more effective energy dissipation brought by the quadruple hydrogen bonds that served as stronger sacrificial bonds upon *** work may offer new insight into the design of polyurea elastomers with comprehensively improved mechanical properties.

Aqueous zinc-ion batteries （AZIBs） are fundamentally challenged by the instability of the electrode/electrolyte interface,predominantly due to irreversible zinc （Zn） deposition and hydrogen ***,the intricate mechanisms behind the electrochemical discrepancies induced by interfacial Zn2+-solvation and deposition behavior demand comprehensive *** molecules endowed with special functional groups （such as hydroxyl,carboxyl,etc.） have the potential to significantly optimize the solvation structure of Zn2+and regulate the interfacial electric double layer （EDL）.By increasing nucleation overpotential and decreasing interfacial free energy,these functional groups facilitate a lower critical nucleation radius,thereby forming an asymptotic nucleation model to promote uniform Zn ***,this study presents a pioneering approach by introducing trace amounts of n-butanol as solvation regulators to engineer the homogenized Zn （H-Zn） anode with a uniform and dense *** interfacial reaction and structure evolution are explored by in/ex-situ experimental techniques,indicating that the H-Zn anode exhibits dendrite-free growth,no by-products,and weak hydrogen evolution,in sharp contrast to the bare ***,the H-Zn anode achieves a remarkable Zn utilization rate of approximately 20% and simultaneously sustains a prolonged cycle life exceeding 500 ***,the H-Zn//NH4V4O10（NVO） full battery showcases exceptional cycle stability,retaining 95.04%capacity retention after 400 cycles at a large current density of 5 A *** study enlightens solvation-regulated additives to develop Zn anode with superior utilization efficiency and extended operational lifespan.

Rational engineering of semiconductor photocatalysts for efficient hydrogen production is of great significance but still challenging,primarily due to the limitations in charge transfer ***,a fascinating plasmonic tandem heterojunction with the hc-CdS/Mo2C@C heterostructure is aimfully prepared for effectively promoting the charge separation kinetics of the CdS photocatalyst via the synergistic strategy of phase junction,Schottky junction,and photothermal *** difference in atomic configuration between cubic-CdS （c-CdS） and hexagonal-CdS （h-CdS） leads to effective charge separation through a typical Ⅱ charge transfer mechanism,and plasmonic Schottky junction further extracts the electrons in the hc-CdS phase junction to realize gradient charge ***,the photothermal effect of Mo2C@C helps to expand the light absorption,accelerate charge transfer kinetics,and reduce the hydrogen evolution energy *** carbon layer provides a fast channel for charge transfer and protects the photocatalyst from *** a result,the optimized hc-CMC photocatalyst exhibits a significantly high photocatalytic H2production activity of 28.63 mmol/g/h and apparent quantum efficiency of 61.8%,surpassing most of the reported *** study provides a feasible strategy to enhance the charge transfer kinetics and photocatalytic activity of CdS by constructing plasmonic tandem heterogeneous junctions.

Identification and spatial patterns of coastal water pollution sources based on GIS and chemometric approach

Comprehensive and joint applications of GIS and chemometric approach were applied in identification and spatial patterns of coastal water pollution sources with a large data set （5 years （2000-2004）, 17 parameters） obtained through coastal water monitoring of Southern Water Control Zone in Hong Kong. According to cluster analysis the pollution degree was significantly different between September-next May （the 1st period） and June-August （the 2nd period）. Based on these results, four potential pollution sources, such as organic/eutrophication pollution, natural pollution, mineral/anthropic pollution and fecal pollution were identified by factor analysis/principal component analysis. Then the factor scores of each monitoring site were analyzed using inverse distance weighting method, and the results indicated degree of the influence by various potential pollution sources differed among the monitoring sites. This study indicated that hybrid approach was useful and effective for identification of coastal water pollution source and spatial patterns.
