Pathophysiology profile-an outcome of international survey:General pathophysiology and integrative clinical reasoning

Short international survey has been done among the members of International Society for Pathophysiology. 42 to 46 valid answers,which came from 22 countries,were accumulated and analyzed. The average of teaching hours of pathophysiology course in various curricula is 146 out of 5 788 total teaching hours of medical curricula (lecture 58,seminars 44,practical 52). Average teaching materials consist of 863 pages of obligatory texts and 1 225 pages of recommended materials. An estimated students' 'study time' for successful mastering of the exam is 164 hours (along with 146 contact teaching/learning hours). A survey concerning an educational profile of the pathophysiologist (A),contents of teaching (B),a selective advantage of pathophysiology teaching (C) and personal advise of pathophysiologists with respect of educational curricula (D) have been quantified by number 1 through 10; one being the weakest and ten being the strongest. Each of the survey features (A through D) was described in advance by 8 different statements,among which participants gave their 'intensity of support' using numerical values 1-10. The outcome indicates that the best profile of pathophysiologists' education scheme is that with 'MD + PhD + postdoctoral training + any residency' (score 8.57) and weakest profile 'PhD in the field of molecular biology' (4.93). The strongest 'power and relevance of pathophysiology' has been given to type of the subject which '…represents an integrative frame of reference describing common principles of disease' (8.59),whereas the weakest to the 'It leads to the evidence based practice and reduces medical costs' (7.65). With reference to the teaching contents the highest rank was given to 'Symptoms/signs/dysfunctions correlations with molecular nature of etiopathogenetic processes' (8.67),whereas the weakest points were given to 'quantitative aspects of etiopathogenetic processes' (6.60). Reactive oxygen and nitrogen species (RONS) are among the key factors in plasma medicine. They are generated by atmospheric plasmas in biological fluids, living tissues and in a variety of liquids. This ability of plasmas to create a delicate mix of RONS in liquids has been used to design remote or indirect treatments for oncological therapy by treating biological fluids by plasmas and putting them in contact with the tumour;Documented effects include selective cancer cell toxicity, even though the exact mechanisms involved are still under investigation. However, the "right" dose for suitable therapeutical activity is crucial and still under debate. The wide variety of plasma sources hampers comparisons. This review focuses on atmospheric pressure plasma jets as the most studied plasma devices in plasma medicine and compiles the conditions employed to generate RONS in relevant liquids and the concentration ranges obtained. The concentrations of H2O2, NO2^-, NO3^- and short-lived oxygen species are compared critically to provide a useful overview for the reader.

Formation of the multi-subunit oxygen-evolving photosystem II （PSII） complex involves a number of auxiliary protein factors. In this study we compared the localization and possible function of two homolo- gous PSU assembly factors, Psb28-1 and Psb28-2, from the cyanobacterium Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803. We demonstrate that FLAG-tagged Psb28-2 is present in both the monomeric PSII core complex and a PSII core complex lacking the inner antenna CP43 （RC47）, whereas Psb28-1 preferentially binds to RC47. When cells are exposed to increased irradiance, both tagged Psb28 proteins additionally associate with oligo- meric forms of PSII and with PSII-PSI supercomplexes composed of trimeric photosystem I （PSI） and two PSII monomers as deduced from electron microscopy. The presence of the Psb27 accessory protein in these complexes suggests the involvement of PSI in PSII biogenesis, possibly by photoprotecting PSII through energy spillover. Under standard culture conditions, the distribution of PSII complexes is similar in the wild type and in each of the single psb28 null mutants except for loss of RC47 in the absence of Psb28-1. In comparison with the wild type, growth of mutants lacking Psb28-1 and Psb27, but not Psb28-2, was retarded under high-light conditions and, especially, intermittent high-light/dark conditions, emphasizing the physiological importance of PSII assembly factors for light acclimation.

Global distributive justice is directly connected to the increased inequality in the world. This inequality, which includes the huge inequality of education opportunities, is usually understood as unjust. There are two main approaches to this problem： cosmopolitan and statist. Looking from the cosmopolitan point of view, this kind of injustice is related predominantly with the socio-economic relationships among the individuals on the planet. Just the opposite is the view of the so-called statists, who claim that a more just world is not a world of persons who are equal among themselves, but rather a world of nation states which are able to achieve a more just society within their borders and, consequently, a more just and egalitarian global society as well.

This study is focused on computer game series Needfor Speed （NFS） in terms of its use in promotion of products and brands. We believe that computer games are no longer the domain of a small group of enthusiasts. In recent years, this kind of entertainment has became a global phenomenon, which is reflected both on professional and scientific levels. This study focuses on in-game advertising possibilities, identification, function, and logic in the NFS computer game series. We conduct a content analysis of three releases of NFS to identify its use for promotional purposes in real terms.

＜正＞ As one of most important metabolites, zinc is of fundamental importance to growth, development and well-being of almost all living organisms. However, zinc deficiency is a world-wide problem often found in the soil-plant-animal-human continuum. Zinc-efficient genotypes take up zinc and yield well in environment containing low plant-available zinc. These genotypes can be combined with additions of small amounts of zinc to provide long-term, sustainable solution to correcting zinc deficiency problem.
