Enhanced entanglement and asymmetric EPR steering between magnons

The generation and manipulation of strong entanglement and Einstein-Podolsky-Rosen(EPR)steering in macroscopic systems are outstanding challenges in modern ***,the observation of asymmetric EPR steering is important for both its fundamental role in interpreting the nature of quantum mechanics and its application as resource for the tasks where the levels of trust at different parties are highly ***,we study the entanglement and EPR steering between two macroscopic magnons in a hybrid ferrimagnet—light *** the absence of light,the two types of magnons on the two sublattices can be entangled,but no quantum steering occurs when they are damped with the same *** the presence of the cavity field,the entanglement can be significantly enhanced,and strong two-way asymmetric quantum steering appears between two magnons with equal *** is very different from the conventional protocols to produce asymmetric steering by imposing additional unbalanced losses or noises on the two parties at the cost of reducing *** essential physics is well understood by the unbalanced population of acoustic and optical magnons under the cooling effect of cavity *** finding may provide a novel platform to manipulate the quantum steering and the detection of bi-party steering provides a knob to probe the magnetic damping on each sublattice of a magnet.

The 28th Conference of Parties(COP 28)of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change(UNFCCC)is being held in Dubai,United Arab Emirates,from November 30 to December 12,2023,with the participation of over 160 world leaders(Figure 1).The tone of the COP 28 is set by the observation that,clearly,the nationally determined contributions related to CO_(2) emission reduction are not on track to curb the temperature rise as per the Paris *** order to hold the increase in global mean temperature to well below 2℃ above the pre-industrial level and to pursue efforts to limit the warming to 1.5℃,there is a need for ratcheting up ambition for near-term climate action.

Assessing effect of interaction between the FTO A/T polymorphism(rs9939609)and physical activity on obesity-related traits

Background： The first described obesity-susceptibility gene was the fat mass and obesity-associated （FTO） gene. However, knowledge about FTO＇s potential modifying effect on changes in body weight achieved through a training program is still limited. We decided to study the association between the FTO A/T polymorphism （rs9939609） and obesity-related traits. Additionally, we investigated whether body mass and body composition, as well as metabolic variables observed in physically active participants, are modulated by the FTO polymorphism. Methods： A group of 201 young Polish women were recruited for the study. The genotype distribution was examined in participants measured for selected changes before and after the completion of a 12-week training program. Results： Our results confirm the association between the common FTO A/T polymorphism and increased body mass index （BMI）. Subjects with AA and AT genotypes had higher BMI during the entire study period compared with the TT genotype. Although parameters such as BMI, basal metabolism rate, tissue independence, fat mass percentage, fat mass, fat-free mass, total body water, high-density lipoprotein, and glucose changed significantly during the training program, none of the examined parameters changed significantly across the FTO genotypes （genotype × training interaction）. Conclusion： We confirm an association between the FTO A/T polymorphism and increased BMI; this polymorphism is therefore a candidate for influencing obesity and other disease-related phenotypes. Although the gene x physical activity interaction was not shown, we want to point out that promoting physical activity is an important approach to controlling the increasing obesity epidemic.2018 Published by Elsevier B.V. on behalf of Shanghai University of Sport. Thermal Activation of the Combustion Chamber of a Reciprocating Internal Combustion Engine

The dominant feature of the work of many specialists on the design of the internal combustion engine is to achieve the possible lowest fuel consumption, which is the most convenient measure of the efficiency of the thermodynamic cycle. From the very beginning of this heat machine, there are many of solutions that are better or worse fit to the global development trend. In this paper, the authors suggest the possibility closer to the optimal solution by introducing structural active zones, where the task is instantaneous(during one cycle) heat transfer to the skin layer on elements of the combustion chamber and to transfer part of the recovered heat to the next cycle, reaching a growth effect of the useful efficiency by 10% to 20%. The solution is different from the ones used by the fact that it is only partially insulating barrier, and the main goal is focused on supporting the next thermal cycle by which it is possible to affect as mentioned above. This paper describes the idea of the functioning of the active combustion chamber and pointed out the technical capabilities of its creation.

In accordance with the World Health Organization data,cancer remains at the forefront of fatal *** upward trend in cancer incidence and mortality has been observed globally,emphasizing that efforts in developing detection and treatment methods should *** diagnostic path typically begins with learning the medical history of a patient;this is followed by basic blood tests and imaging tests to indicate where cancer may be located to schedule a needle *** initiation of diagnosis is crucial since delayed cancer detection entails higher costs of treatment and ***,there is a need for novel cancer detection methods such as liquid biopsy,elastography,synthetic biosensors,fluorescence imaging,and reflectance confocal *** therapeutic methods,although still common in clinical practice,pose many limitations and are ***,there is a dynamic advancement of clinical research and the development of more precise and effective methods such as oncolytic virotherapy,exosome-based therapy,nanotechnology,dendritic cells,chimeric antigen receptors,immune checkpoint inhibitors,natural product-based therapy,tumor-treating fields,and photodynamic *** present paper compares available data on conventional and modern methods of cancer detection and therapy to facilitate an understanding of this rapidly advancing field and its future *** evidenced,modern methods are not without drawbacks;there is still a need to develop new detection strategies and therapeutic approaches to improve sensitivity,specificity,safety,and ***,an appropriate route has been taken,as confirmed by the approval of some modern methods by the Food and Drug Administration.

New complexes of heteroaromatic N-oxides with europium,uranyl and zinc ions

New solid complexes of europium, uranyl and zinc ions with N-oxides of 4-chloro-2,6-dimethylpyridine, quinoline and 4-meth- oxyquinaldinic acid in presence different anions were obtained and characterized by elemental and TG analyses, IR and luminescence spectra. The compounds are crystalline, hydrated or anhydrous salts with colours typical of metal ions. Thermal studies showed that in hydrated salts lattice or coordination water molecules are present. A role of different anions in the formation of various types of the complexes is presented.

Comparative analysis of the effects of gunpowder and plasma ignition in closed vessel tests

This paper presents the results of a comparative investigation into the effects of the ignition method on the ballistic properties of a single-base gun propellant,as determined via closed vessel *** gunpowder ignition and plasma jet ignition methods were used,and differences in the ignition time were *** influence of the ignition method on the dynamic vivacity is *** is shown that this influence is significant in the first phase of the combustion process,and with respect to the low values of the loading *** the second phase of the combustion process,and for large values of the loading density,the dynamic vivacity plots for the two ignition methods *** the burning law,close values of the exponent were obtained for the two ignition *** dynamic vivacity plots determined for plasma ignition reveal stronger dependence on the loading density than those determined for gunpowder *** conclusion is that plasma ignition is not a solution to the problems inherent to the process of determining the ballistic properties of propellants,which results in deviation of the burning process from the geometric burning law.

Twenty years of coal mining-induced subsidence in the Upper Silesia in Poland identified using InSAR

The paper presents the results of terrain subsidence monitoring in Poland's Upper Silesian Coal Basin(USCB)mining area using Differential Interferometry Synthetic Aperture Radar(DInSAR)and Persistent Scatterer Interferometry(PSI).The study area accounts for almost three million inhabitants where mining which started in the 19th century,has produced severe damage to buildings and urban infrastructures in past *** analysis aimed to combine eight different datasets,processed in two techniques,coming from various sensors and covering different *** a result,a map of areas that have been exposed to subsidence within 3045 square kilometers was *** map covers a period of twenty years of intensive mining activities,i.e.1992-2012.A total of 81 interferograms were used in the *** interferograms allowed not only to determine subsidence troughs(basins)formed from 1992 to 2012 but also to observe subsidence development over *** work also included five sets of PSI processing,covering different temporal and spatial ranges,which were used to determine zones of residual *** on InSAR datasets,an area of 521 square kilometers under the influence of mining activities were *** the subsiding zones,an area of 312.5 square kilometers of the rapid increase in subsidence was identified on the *** study of combined different InSAR datasets provided large-area and long-term information on the impact of mining activities in the Upper Silesia Coal Basin.
