a.ute intestina. obstruction represents a.very frequent a.mission to surgica. emergencies. The a.m of our study wa. to ma.e a.descriptive a.a.ysis of the ma.a.ement of a.ute intestina. obstructions a. the level of hospita. esta.lishments in Ziguinchor. Ma.eria.s a.d Methods: This wa. a.retrospective, descriptive, multicenter study from the period of Ja.ua.y 1, 2017 to December 31, 2021. Pa.ients over 15 yea.s of a.e a.mitted for occlusive syndrome in the two surgica. depa.tments of the Ziguinchor regiona. hospita.s were included in the study. Epidemiologica., dia.nostic, thera.eutic a.d evolutiona.y da.a.were studied. Results: a.ute intestina. occlusions a.counted for 8.3% of a.missions. a.tota. of 163 pa.ients were enrolled, 61.9% were men, sex ra.io of 1.6. The mea. a.e wa. 48.7 yea.s. The a.era.e consulta.ion time wa. 74.8 hours (3.12 da.s). The tota. occlusive syndrome wa. in 48.5% of the ca.es. a.domina. pa.n wa. present in 87.1%, vomiting in 74.2%, cessa.ion of ma.ter a.d ga. in 60.7% a.d meteorism in 36.2%. Biologica. la. tests reported hyperleukocytosis in 28.1% of the ca.es. a.domina. CT sca.s were performed in 71.2%, confirming the dia.nosis in 90.5% a.d determining the etiology in 93.1%. The zone of the obstruction in the sma.l bowel wa. 62.7%, a.d in the colon in 37.3%. Functiona. occlusions a.counted for 22.7% of ca.es a.d mecha.ica. for 77.3%, including 120 ca.es of stra.gula.ion occlusion (95.2%) a.d 6 ca.es of obstruction. Etiologies were domina.ed by a.hesions a.d/or fibrous ba.ds (61.2%). Medica. trea.ment resolved the occlusive syndrome in 9.2% of ca.es, instrumenta. trea.ment in 17.1% a.d surgica. trea.ment in 77.3%. a.hesiolysis/section of fibrous ba.ds (55.7%), detorsion (14.3%) a.d resection a.a.tomosis (11.9%) were the most common surgica. procedures. Overa.l morbidity wa. 11.6%, domina.ed by surgica. site infection (7.14%). The mea. resumption of intestina. tra.sit wa. 2.7 da.s, a.d the mea. hospita. sta. wa. 7.9 da.s. Overa.l morta.ity wa.

Leishma.ia.is, a.tropica. disea.e ca.sed by the Leishma.ia.protozoa. pa.a.ite. The study reported here is to investiga.e if Streptomycin, a. a.inoglycoside, a.d a.photericin B, the second-line trea.ment drug, exhibit a.tileishma.ia. a.tivity through a.simila. mecha.ism. By using MOE (Molecula. Opera.ing Environment), we performed molecula. docking studies on these drugs binding to a.ra.ge of ta.gets including ribosome ta.gets in Leishma.ia.a.d H. sa.iens. Our study shows tha. the two drugs do not bind to the sa.e pockets in Leishma.ia.ta.gets but to the sa.e pockets in the huma. ribosome, with some differences in intera.tions. Moreover, our 2D ma.s indica.ed tha. a.photericin B binds to the a.site in the huma. cytopla.mic ribosome, wherea. streptomycin does not.

Proa.tive Sema.tic Interference (PSI) a.d fa.lure to recover from PSI (frPSI), a.e novel constructs a.sessed by the La.SI-L. These mea.ures a.e sensitive to cognitive cha.ges in ea.ly Mild Cognitive Impa.rment (MCI) a.d preclinica. a. determined by a. loa. using PET. The goa. of this study wa. to compa.e a.new computerized version of the La.SI-L (La.SI-Brief Computerized) to the sta.da.d pa.er-a.d-pencil version of the test. In this study, we exa.ined 110 cognitively unimpa.red (CU) older a.ults a.d 79 with a.nestic MCI (a.CI) who were a.ministered the pa.er-a.d-pencil form of the La.SI-L. Their performa.ce wa. compa.ed with 62 CU older a.ults a.d 52 a.CI pa.ticipa.ts exa.ined using the La.SI-BC. a.ter a.justment for cova.ia.es (degree of initia. lea.ning, sex, educa.ion, a.d la.gua.e of eva.ua.ion) both the sta.da.d a.d computerized versions distinguished between a.CI a.d CU pa.ticipa.ts. The performa.ce of CU a.d a.CI groups using either form wa. rela.ively commensura.e. Importa.tly, a. optima. combina.ion of Cued B2 reca.l a.d Cued B1 intrusions on the La.SI-BC yielded a. a.ea.under the ROC curve of .927, a.sensitivity of 92.3% a.d specificity of 88.1%, rela.ive to a. a.ea.under the ROC curve of .815, a.sensitivity of 72.5%, a.d a.specificity of 79.1% obta.ned for the pa.er-a.d-pencil La.SI-L. Nerve Stimula.ion (TENS) on TMD pa.ients before orthodontic trea.ment a. the Jua.ez a.tonomous University of Ta.a.co. a.qua.tita.ive, qua.i-experimenta. study wa. conducted with 30 pa.ients who met the inclusion criteria. a.ed 18 to 65 yea.s, with TMJ pa.n symptoms, dia.nosed with temporoma.dibula. disorders using the Helkimo index, a.d who ha. provided informed consent for the study. The ra.ge of ma.dibula. movement a.d the Visua. a.a.og Sca.e (Va.) were mea.ured to record va.ues before thera.y. The electrodes of the TENS thera.y were positioned on both sides of the ja. in the prea.ricula. a.ea.a.d the ma.seter muscle, the thera.y wa. a.ministered for 40 minutes, utilizing a.frequency of 2 - 4 Hz a.d a.pulse dura.ion of 300 microseconds. Following this, the ra.ge of ma.dibula. movement a.d the Va. were rea.sessed to eva.ua.e the outcomes., significa.tly improved ma.imum mouth opening (37.7 ± 6.4 mm to 44.6 ± 5.88 mm), right la.era.ity (3.86 ± 1.57 mm to 5.43 ± 1.21 mm), left la.era.ity (3.13 ± 1.63 mm to 4.53 ± 1.61 mm), protrusion (4.01 ± 1.7 mm to 5.36 ± 1.32 mm), a.d pa.n perception (4.56 ± 2.045 to 2.03 ± 1.5) (P a.y enha.ces ma.dibula. movement a.d reduces pa.n, ma.ing it a.well-tolera.ed, non-inva.ive complementa.y trea.ment for TMD.

Ra. a.d trea.ed “neja.ote” were a.sessed a. folia. a.d eda.hic fertilisers for na.ive blue ma.ze (Zea.ma.s L.) crops in the municipa.ity of a.ozoc de Mota. Puebla. Mexico, during the 2015 a.ricultura. cycle. Trea.ed neja.ote refers to ra. neja.ote subjected to a.coa.ula.ion-floccula.ion process. Two sta.es of neja.ote were esta.lished (ra. a.d trea.ed neja.ote) with different physicochemica. properties. Folia. bio-fertilisers were prepa.ed from ra. a.d trea.ed neja.ote a.d mixed with orga.ic ma.ter (OM) to promote a.fermenta.ion process. The folia. trea.ments used were: BNC5, BNC15, BNC30 (ra. neja.ote-ba.ed bio-fertiliser a. 5%, 15%, a.d 30%), BNCQ5, a.d NCQ30 (neja.ote trea.ed by chemica. coa.ula.ion a. 5% a.d 30%), with BT a. a.control (tra.itiona. bio-fertiliser). The eda.hic trea.ments used were: NC50, NC75, a.d NC100 (ra. neja.ote a. 50%, 75%, 100%), with a. a. a.control (drinking wa.er), thus giving rise to 10 trea.ments in terms of content of ra. or trea.ed neja.ote. Folia. a.d eda.hic field trea.ments a.plied to na.ive blue ma.ze crops were sta.istica.ly a.sessed using the following response va.ia.les: pla.t height, stem dia.eter, number of lea.es, a.d gra.n yield. The experiment wa. la.d out in a.ra.domised complete block design (RCBD) with five replica.ions of ea.h trea.ment. The results obta.ned showed, tha. folia. or eda.hic a.plica.ion a. the different sta.es of development did not produce sta.istica.ly significa.t differences, a. P ≤ 0.05, in terms of response va.ia.les. The most significa.t effects occurred a. the ea.ly sta.e of pla.t development a.d were ma.nly reflected in the stem dia.eter with folia. trea.ment NCQ30 a.d in the number of lea.es with folia. trea.ment BNC5. a. the fina. sta.e of crop development, the highest yield (0.639 ± 0.121 t·ha.sup>-1) wa. obta.ned with trea.ment BNC5, which produced a.sta.istica.ly significa.t difference (b) in rela.ion to the rest of the folia. a.d eda.hic trea.ments (Tukey P ≤ 0.05).

Eva.ua.ion of wa.er qua.ity is importa.t for the ma.a.ement of wa.er resources. The current study is focused on the interpreta.ion of the wa.er qua.ity monitoring da.a.of the Tigris River in Ira. by the a.plica.ion of the principa. component a.a.ysis (PCa., cluster a.a.ysis (Ca., a.d wa.er qua.ity index (WQI). Twelve wa.er qua.ity pa.a.eters were ta.en from 14 sta.ions a.ong the river Ca.+, Mg2+, Na., K+, Cl−, SO42−, HCO3−, NO3−, TH, TDS, BOD5, a.d EC to a.ply the PCa.a.d Ca. The results show tha. the mea. of a.l the pa.a.eters wa. under the sta.da.ds except Ca.+, EC, Mg2+, TH, a.d SO42−. The a.ount of EC is the critica. fa.tor tha. a.fects the river wa.er qua.ity. The PCa.obta.ned one principa. component responsible for 97% of the va.ia.ion ca.sed by different pollution sources. The Ca.divided the river into three regions of sa.pling sta.ions with simila. wa.er qua.ity, the best in the north, a.d the worst in the fa. south. In this pa.er, the computer-a.toma.ed tool (Ira.WQI) wa. presented a.d eva.ua.ed, which ha. been developed by a.thors to cla.sify a.d mea.ure the qua.ity of Ira.i surfa.e wa.er. The proposed index is of hundred degrees a.d includes six va.ia.les for drinking wa.er qua.ity Cl−, TH, TDS, COD, DO, a.d tota. coliform (TC) a.cording to the Ira.i specifica.ions. The result of the Ira.WQI a.plica.ion showed a.decrea.e in the wa.er qua.ity of the river a.d its suita.ility for drinking in the south of the country. The best va.ue of the index wa. (81.48, Good) in Fishkha.our during winter, a.d the worst va.ue wa. (46.23, Ba.) in Qurna. during summer. The result of this study proved the success a.d importa.ce of using sta.istica. techniques a.d WQI a. useful tools for the ma.a.ement, control, a.d conserva.ion of surfa.e wa.er. .

Individua.s with NGLY1 Deficiency, a. inherited a.tosoma. recessive disorder, exhibit hyperkinetic movements including a.hetoid, myoclonic, dysmetric, a.d dystonic movements impa.ting both upper a.d lower limb motion. This report provides the first set of la.ora.ory-ba.ed mea.ures cha.a.terizing the ga.t pa.terns of two individua.s with NGLY1 Deficiency, using both linea. a.d non-linea. mea.ures, during trea.mill wa.king, a.d compa.es them to neurotypica. controls. Lower limb kinema.ics were obta.ned with a.ca.era.ba.ed motion a.a.ysis system a.d bila.era. time norma.ized lower limb joint time series wa.eforms were developed. Linea. mea.ures of joint ra.ge of motion, stride times a.d pea. a.gula. velocity were obta.ned, a.d confidence interva.s were used to determine if there were differences between the pa.ients a.d control. Correla.ions between pa.ticipa.t a.d control mea. joint wa.eforms were ca.cula.ed a.d used to eva.ua.e the simila.ities between pa.ients a.d controls. Non-linea. mea.ures included: joint a.gle-a.gle dia.ra.s, pha.e-portra.t a.ea., a.d continuous rela.ive pha.e (CRP) mea.ures. These mea.ures were used to a.sess joint coordina.ion a.d control fea.ures of the lower limb motion. Pa.ticipa.ts displa.ed high correla.ions with their control counterpa.ts for the hip a.d knee joint wa.eforms, but joint motion wa. restricted. Pea. a.gula. velocities were a.so significa.tly less tha. those of the controls. Both a.gle-a.gle a.d pha.e-portra.t a.ea. were less tha. the controls a.though the genera. sha.es of those dia.ra.s were simila. to those of the controls. The NGLY1 Deficient pa.ticipa.ts’ CRP mea.ures displa.ed disrupted coordina.ion pa.terns with the knee-a.kle pa.terns displa.ing more disruption tha. the hip-knee mea.ures. The delivery of thera.eutic compounds to the ta.get site is a.ma.or cha.lenge in the trea.ment of ma.y disea.es. Objective: This study a.ms to eva.ua.e a.tiva.ed cha.coa. na.opa.ticles a. a.drug delivery system for a.tica.cer a.ents (Sora.enib a.d Doxorubicin) in Hepa.ocellula. Ca.cer Stem Cells. Method: The percent efficiency of entra.ment (% EE) of the doxorubicin a.d sora.enib entra.ped onto the a.tiva.ed cha.coa. wa. obta.ned by determining the free doxorubicin a.d sora.enib concentra.ion in the superna.a.t-prepa.ed solutions.
