In the discovery popula.ion, heifers were bred in winter breeding sea.ons involving a.single round of timed a.tificia. insemina.ion(a.) followed by na.ura. ma.ing for 3 months. Red blood cells (RBCs) a.e the most a.unda.t huma. blood cells. RBC a.grega.ion a.d deforma.ion strongly determine blood viscosity which impa.ts hemorheology a.d microcircula.ion. In turn, RBC properties depend on different endogenous a.d exogenous fa.tors. One such fa.tor is nitric oxide (NO), which is ma.nly produced by endothelia. cells (EC) from L-a.ginine a.ino a.id in the circula.ory system. Since the mecha.isms of the RBC-endothelium interpla. a.e not clea. up to da.e a.d considering its possible clinica. importa.ce, the a.ms of this study a.e to investiga.e in vitro: (1) The effect of L-a.ginine induced NO on RBC a.grega.ion a.d a.hesion to endothelium; (2) the NO effect on RBC a.grega.ion a.d deforma.ion induced by L-a.ginine a.d sodium nitroprusside without the presence of endothelium in the sa.ples. The RBC a.grega.ion a.d a.hesion to a.monola.er of EC were studied using optica. tweezers (OT). The RBC deforma.ility a.d a.grega.ion without endothelium in the sa.ples were studied using the flow cha.ber method a.d Myrenne a.gregometer. We confirmed tha. NO increa.es deforma.ility a.d decrea.es a.grega.ion of RBCs. We showed tha. the soluble gua.yla.e cycla.e pa.hwa. a.pea.s to be the only NO signa.ing pa.hwa. involved. In the sa.ples with the endothelium, the "bell-sha.ed" dependence of RBC a.grega.ion force on L-a.ginine concentra.ion wa. observed, which improves our knowledge a.out the process of NO production by endothelium. a.ditiona.ly, da.a.rela.ed to L-a.ginine a.cumula.ion by endothelium were obta.ned: Necessity of the presence of extra.ellula. L-a.ginine sta.ed by other a.thors wa. put under question. In our study, NO decrea.ed the RBC-endothelium a.hesion, however, the tendency a.pea.ed to be wea. a.d wa. not confirmed in a.other set of experiments. To our knowledge, this is the first a.tempt to mea.ure the forces of RBC a.hesion to endothelium monola.er with OT.

The remova. of the na.ura. orga.ic ma.ter present in coffee processing wa.tewa.er through chemica. coa.ula.ion-floccula.ion a.d a.va.ced oxida.ion processes （a.P） ha. been studied. The effectiveness of the remova. of na.ura. orga.ic ma.ter using commercia. floccula.ts a.d UV/H202, UV/O3 a.d UV/H2O2/O3 processes wa. determined under a.idic conditions. For ea.h of these processes, different opera.iona. conditions were explored to optimize the trea.ment efficiency of the coffee wa.tewa.er. Coffee wa.tewa.er is cha.a.terized by a.high chemica. oxygen dema.d （COD） a.d low tota. suspended solids. The outcomes of coffee wa.tewa.er trea.ment using coa.ula.ion-floccula.ion a.d photodegra.a.ion processes were a.sessed in terms of reduction of COD, color, a.d turbidity. It wa. found tha. a.reduction in COD of 67% could be rea.ized when the coffee wa.tewa.er wa. trea.ed by chemica. coa.ula.ion-floccula.ion with lime a.d coa.ula.t T-1. When coffee wa.tewa.er wa. trea.ed by coa.ula.ion-floccula.ion in combina.ion with UV/H2O2, a.COD reduction of 86% wa. a.hieved, a.though only a.ter prolonged UV irra.ia.ion. Of the three a.va.ced oxida.ion processes considered, UV/H2O2, UV/O3 a.d UV/H2O2/O3, we found tha. the trea.ment with UV/H2O2/O3 wa. the most effective, with a. efficiency of color, turbidity a.d further COD remova. of 87%, when a.plied to the floccula.ed coffee wa.tewa.er.

SnO2 a.d Sb-doped SnO2 pa.ticles were synthesized using the polymeric precursor method with different Sn sa.t precursors： SnCl2.2H2O, SnCl4.5H20, or Sn citra.e. Sb2O3 wa. used a. the precursor of Sb, a.d the mola. ra.io of nsn：nsb wa. held consta.t. FTIR a.d TGa.DTa.were used to exa.ine the influence of the Sn precursor on the forma.ion a.d therma. decomposition of the Sn a.d Sn-Sb complexes. The ca.cina.ion products obta.ned from hea.ing the Sn a.d Sn-Sb complexes a. 500℃ in a.r were a.a.yzed using XRD a.d TEM a.a.ysis. The results revea.ed tha. the SnO2 a.d Sb-doped SnO2 forma.ion tempera.ures depended on the na.ure of the Sn precursor. The ca.cina.ion products were found to be SnO2 a.d Sb-doped SnO2 pa.ticles, which crysta.lized in a.tetra.ona. ca.siterite structure with a.highly preferred （110） pla.a. orienta.ion. The Sn precursor a.d the presence of Sb in the SnO2 ma.rix strongly influenced the crysta.linity a.d la.tice pa.a.eters.
