Induction cooking has several advantages compared to traditional heating system; however, to obtain best efficiency, it is essential to have an inductor giving homogeneous temperature on the pan bottom. For this aim, we propose a structure of inductor with four throats containing coils and optimize their distribution. In this paper, first we model magneto-thermal phenomenon of the system by a finite element method （FEM） for the mean to determine the distribution of temperature on the pan bottom by taking the nonlinearity of system. This study shows that a temperature distribution is not homogeneous. Second, with the aim to have homogeneous temperature distribution on the pan bottom, the optimal determination of throats distribution and their dimensions is obtained by genetic algorithms （GAs）. The optimized structure permits to satisfy our aim.

The effect of swirl number(Sn)on the flow behavior and combustion characteristics of a lean premixed propane FlameФ=0.5 in a swirl burner configuration was numerically verified in this ***-dimensional numerical simulations were performed using ANSYS-Fluent *** turbulence closure,a standard K-εturbulence model was *** turbulence-chemistry interaction scheme was modeled using the Finite Rate-Eddy Dissipation hybrid model(FR/EDM)with a reduced three-step reaction *** P1 radiation model was used for the flame radiation inside the combustion *** different swirl numbers were selected(0,0.72,1.05,and 1.4)corresponding to different angles(0°,39°,50°,and 57.8°).The results show that the predicted model agrees very well with the experimental data,especially with respect to the axial and radial velocity and temperature *** outer recirculation zone(ORZ)is present in the combustor corner at Sn=0 and an inner recirculation zone(IRZ)appears at the combustor centerline inlet at a critical Sn=*** the Sn reaches an excessive value,the IRZ moves toward the premixing tube,leading to a flame *** flame structure and its length are strongly affected by changes in the Sn as well as the formation of NOx and CO at the combustor exit.

The peristaltic ttow of nanofluids is a relatively new area of research. Scientists are of the opinion that the no-slip conditions at the boundaries are no longer valid and consequently, the first and the second order slip conditions should be addressed. In this paper, the effects of slip conditions and the convective boundary conditions at the boundary walls on the peristaltic flow of a viscous nanofluid are investigated for. Also, the exact analytical solutions are obtained for the model. The obtained results are presented through graphs and discussed. The results reveal that the two slip parameters have strong effects on the temperature and the nanoparticles volume fraction profiles. Moreover, it has been seen that the temperature and nanoparticles volume fraction profiles attain certain values when the first slip condition exceeds a specified value. However, no limit value for the second slip parameter has been detected. Further, the effects of the various emerging parameters on the flow and heat transfer characteristics have been presented.

In this paper,the mathematical model describing the third-grade non-Newtonian blood flow suspended with nanoparticles through porous arteries is exactly *** present physical model was solved in the research literature via the optimal homotopy analysis method and the collocation method,where the obtained solution was compared with the numerical fourth-order Runge-Kutta ***,the present paper only introduces a new approach to obtain the exact solution of the concerned system and implements such exact solution as a reference to validate the published approximate *** remarks on the previously published results are observed and discussed in detail through tables and *** view of the present calculations,the obtained results in the literature by Ghasemi et al.[Ghasemi,Hatami,Sarokolaie et al.(2015)]may need ***,it is found that the obtained approximate results in the relevant literature agree with the current exact ones up to only two or three decimal places,at ***,the present approach along with the obtained results reflexes the effectiveness and efficiency of our analysis when compared with the corresponding study in the ***,the present results can be directly invested for similar future problems of the same constructions.

The aim of this work is to study the influence of successive weld repairs on the microstructure and the mechanical behavior of the heat-affected zone（HAZ） of an HSLA X70 steel. Detailed microstructural examination combined to grain size measurement showed that beyond the second weld repair, the microstructure of the HAZ undergoes significant change in the grain morphology and grain growth. The results of the X-ray diffraction analyzed using MAUD software indicated an increase in the crystallite size and a decrease in the dislocation density according to the number of weld repair operations. Consequently, a loss of mechanical properties, namely the yield strength and the toughness with the number of weld repairs, was recorded. Beyond the second weld repair operation, the properties of the welded joint do not fulfill the standards applied in piping industry.

Very recently, it was observed that the temperature of nanofluids is finally governed by second-order ordinary differential equations with variable coefficients of exponential orders. Such coefficients were then transformed to polynomials type by using new independent variables. In this paper, a class of second-order ordinary differential equations with variable coefficients of polynomials type has been solved analytically. The analytical solution is expressed in terms of a hypergeometric function with generalized parameters. Moreover, applications of the present results have been applied on some selected nanofluids problems in the literature. The exact solutions in the literature were derived as special cases of our generalized analytical solution.

Accurate PV system simulators are implemented with expensive software platforms using paid irradiance *** main purpose of this paper is to develop and validate a PV system simulator,beginning with a solar cell parameter extraction model,then test and validate long-termIrradiance data using free online source(Typical Meteorological Year TMY in(PVGIS)European website),and finally building full solar generator simulator to run in working real *** results with Accurate Paid PV simulators(which use theMuneer model)showed good accuracy of the proposed *** flow starts with the Irradiance model’s data processing,then solar cell 5 parameters model data processing(to extract cell parameters),and finally full system *** coding programs in real working conditions are used for *** of solar cell parameter extraction show 99.6%to 99.99%matching with data sheet and cell performance under standard test *** simulation output shows 8%less yearly generated energy compared to the PVGIS 2022 long-term simulation(hourly basis(one-year time)).This is due to incident energy variations(between the years 2016 and 2022)of 4.02%.The novelty of the algorithm is the methodology,as it tests irradiance data on an hourly basis and validates results for a whole continuous ***,the 5-parameter solar cell model is used to be validated in long term analysis,not only STC conditions and could be applied on any PV solar *** algorithm and block diagramused are scalable,modular,and interchangeable with similarmodels to be *** simulator could test severalmethods andmodels in solar pv technology.

In this paper,some effort is provided to optimize the geometry of a concrete hollow brick(used in the construction of building roofs)in order to increase the related thermal resistance,thereby reducing energy *** analysis is conducted for three different configurations of the hollow concrete *** of conduction,natural convection and thermal radiation phenomena is ***,the flows are assumed to be laminar and two-dimensional for the whole range of parameters *** conservation equations are solved by a finite difference method based on the control volumes approach and the SIMPLE algorithm for velocity-pressure *** results show that the aspect ratio affects neither the nature of the fluid flow nor the number of convective ***,the extension of the circulation cells increases with this ***,the cavities with a large aspect ratio lead to significant reductions in the heat transfer through the hollow block,these reductions reaching approximately 14%.

This work presents the results of a set of steady-state numerical simulations about heat transfer in hollow blocks in the presence of coupled natural convection,conduction and *** with two air cells deep in the vertical direction and three identical cavities in the horizontal direction are considered(typically used for building ceilings).Moreover,their outside horizontal surface is subjected to an incident solar flux and outdoor environment temperature while the inside surface is exposed to typical indoor environment *** flows are considered laminar and two-dimensional over the whole range of parameters *** conservation equations are solved by means of a finite difference method based on the control volumes approach,relying on the SIMPLE algorithm for what concerns the coupling of pressure and *** effects of the number of cells in the horizontal direction and the thermal conductivity on the heat transfer through the alveolar structure have been *** results show that the number of holes has a significant impact on the value of the overall heat flux through the considered structure.
