Gold-based nanomaterials with plasmonic properties exhibit various potentials for biomedical applications. In this work, gold nanoprisms (GNPs) was synthesized and then modified with LyP-1, a tumor-homing peptide, to improve the affinity of the GNPs to tumor cells, thus, to improve the efficacy of tumor-targeted photothermal therapy. The introduction of NIR dye IR780 not only enabled the GNPs-based nanosystem with the surface-enhanced resonant Raman scattering (SERRS) property, but also enhanced the plasmonic photothermal property which delivering therapeutic heating by 660 nm laser irradiation. The obtained GNPs/IR780-LyP-1 presented significantly increased of photothermal conversion in vitro and in vivo, which resulted in enhanced tumor-targeting photothermal therapeutic efficacy after laser irradiation. Hence, the GNPs/IR780-LyP-1 prepared in this study can be served as a Raman-encoded molecular imaging candidate and photothermal therapy agents for future cancer treatment.

A discrete element method was used to study the evolution of particle crushing in a rockfill sample subjected to triaxial shear. A simple procedure was developed to generate clusters with arbitrary shapes, which resembled real rockfill particles. A theoretical method was developed to define the failure criterion for an individual particle subjected to an arbitrary set of contact forces. Then, a series of numerical tests of large-scale drained triaxial tests were conducted to simulate the behaviors of the rockfill sample. Finally, we examined the development of micro-characteristics such as particle crushing, contact characteristics, porosity, deformation, movement, and energy dissipation. The simulation results were partially compared with the laboratory experiments, and good agreement was achieved, demonstrating that the particle crushing model proposed can be used to simulate the drained triaxial test ofrockfill materials. Based on a comparison of macro behaviors of the roekfill sample and micro structures of the particles, the microscopic mechanism of the rockfill materials subjected to triaxial shear was determined qualitatively. It is shown that the crushing rate, rather than the number of crushed particles, can be used to reflect the relationship between macro- and micro-mechanical characteristics of rockfill materials. These research results further develop our understanding of the deformation mechanism of rockfill materials.

To sustain the upland conversion program （UCP） in China after the government compensation expires, we suggest an establishment of a domestic carbon market where forest carbon from the UCP can be traded. Taking southwest China＇s Yunnan Province as an example, we explored the feasibility of switching the UCP to a carbon offset project. The breakeven carbon price which is equivalent to the opportunity cost of agricultural cultivation was estimated and then compared with the carbon price in the international market. We found that it is feasible to change the UCP to a carbon offset project if the duration is longer than 10 years at a discount rate of 7%, and if the recent bid price （147.2 Yuan.t-1） for Chinese carbon offset project prevails. The feasibility is better for converted land with lower productivity when the project duration is given. For a given site index, the feasibility is lower as pro- ject length is reduced. The results of sensitivity analysis show that the feasibility will be enhanced as the discount rate increases; however, the changes in the price of agricultural products and the amount of sequestered carbon have insignificant effects on the choice of sites and project duration.

This study aimed to evaluate the satisfaction of village doctors to essential medicines list (EML) and accessibility of essential medicines (EMs) distribution to improve the implementation of EML in village clinics.A total of 422 village doctors from five counties in three provinces of China were surveyed by *** regression analysis was conducted to identify the main factors associated with village doctors' evaluation of *** results showed that village doctors had a negative evaluation in satisfaction level of EML to village-based care and accessibility of EM *** government should adjust EML regularly based on the actual health status of local villagers in China and focus on adding appropriate drugs that meet the needs of villagers with chronic *** local government should also attach importance to the distribution of EMs and maintain their supply in village clinics.

A Wideband Microwave Holography Methodology for Reflector Surface Measurement of Large Radio Telescopes

Most reflector surface holographic measurements of a large radio telescope utilize a geostationary satellite as the signal source. The shortcoming is that those measurements could only be done at a limited elevation angle due to the satellite’s relatively stationary state. This paper proposed a new wideband microwave holographic measurement method based on radio sources to achieve full-elevation-angle measurement with small size reference antenna. In theoretical derivation, the time delay and phase change due to path length and device difference between the antenna under test and reference antenna are compensated first. Then the correct method of wideband holography effect, which is because of antenna pattern differing under different wavelengths when receiving a wideband signal, is presented. To verify the proposed methodology, a wideband microwave holographic measurement system is established, the data processing procedure is illustrated, and the reflector surface measurement experiments on a 40 m radio telescope at different elevation angles are conducted. The result shows that the primary reflector surface root-mean-square at around elevation angles of 28°, 44°, 49°, and 75° are respectively 0.213 mm, 0.170 mm, 0.188 mm, and 0.199 mm. It is basically consistent with the real data, indicating that the proposed wideband microwave holography methodology is feasible.

Erect milkvetch(Astragalus adsurgens)is a perennial legume forage crop with economic and ecological value in livestock grazing and soil-erosion control in arid and semiarid areas *** information and molecular tools to support breeding and research in the species are *** objectives of this investigation were to map its genome using DNA markers and to identify quantitative trait loci(QTL)in the *** F1 mapping population of 250 plants was developed from a cross between two parents with differing flowering-related traits.A high-density genetic linkage map containing 4821 markers on eight linkage groups(LGs)with a total genetic length of 1395 cM and a mean interval of 0.29 cM between adjacent markers was constructed with SLAF-seq *** genomic analyses revealed the highest genome sequence similarity(8.71%)between erect milkvetch and Medicago truncatula,followed by Glycine max(7.65%),Cicer arietinum(7.53%),and Lupinus angustifolius(5.21%).A total of 64 significant QTL for flowering-related traits on six LGs were detected,accounting for 9.38 to 19.1%of the associated phenotype *** and 48 key candidate genes for floret number and inflorescence length were identified based on the Glycyrrhiza uralensis *** candidate genes were involved in ubiquitination/degradation,pollen development,cell division,cytokinin biosynthetic process,and plant *** findings shed light on the regulation of flowering traits in erect milkvetch and provide genomic resources for future molecular breeding of the crop.
