Phase-field simulation of precipitation kinetics and creep properties of Ni-Al-Cr/Ta superalloys

The precipitation kinetics ofγ'-Ni_(3)(Al,Ta)phase and creep properties of Ni-15Al-x Ta at.%superalloys are investigated by the crystal plasticity phase-field *** results show that the high Ta content brings a lower creep strain for the deceleration and steady creep stage,while the creep lifetime is *** large external strain intensifies the creep damage and shortens the creep life of Ni-15Al-3Ta at.%*** kinetics evolution and elements distribution are revealed in the quaternary Ni-10Al-8.5Cr-xT a(x=1.5 at.%,2.0 at.%,2.5 at.%)superalloys by the multi-component phase-field *** anti-phase boundary(APB)changes the coarsening mechanism ofγ'phase,and Ta promotes the precipitation ofγ'phase with an increasing volume fraction and particle *** composition difference betweenγ'andγphases increases with the rising of Ta content,the strong partitioning of Ta toγ'phase strengthens the partitioning of Ni and Cr toγmatrix,and Ta shows a superiority than Al in the lattice site occupation of L1_(2)-Ni_(3)(Al,X)*** an importantγ'phase forming element,the optimization of Ta content is essential for improving the mechanical properties of Ni-based superalloys.

OBJECTIVE: To assess the efficacy and safety of Neiguan(PC6) acupoint acustimulation in preventing chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting(CINV),especially for patients with guideline-inconsistent CINV prophylaxis(GICP) due to personal reasons METHODS: From January 2021 to December 2021, 373 patients suffered from solid malignancy were recruited according to the inclusion criteria. Complete response(no emesis and no rescue medication use) rate during the overall phase(0-120 h of each chemo-cycle) was the primary assessment of CINV control. The Functional living Index-Emesis(FliE) questionnaire was investigated among these patients as a secondary 'quality of life' objective to assess the impact of CINV on patients' daily life by recording score of nausea and vomiting. RESULTS: With acustimulation of Neiguan(PC6) acupuncture point through a portable, noninvasive and user-friendly device, in terms of complete response rate and scores in nausea/vomiting by FliE questionnaire, patients achieve a better outcome in highly emetogenic chemotherapy(HEC) induced CINV, especially GICP subgroup. Meanwhile, analysis also demonstrated this tendency existed in other patients with HEC/GCCP(guideline consistent CINV prophylaxis) and moderate emetogenic chemotherapy, although the difference was not significant. CONCLUSION: Considering advantages of Neiguan(PC6) acustimulation such as noninvasive, covered by medical insurance and few side effects, we believe it would be an ideal auxiliary tool in CINV control, especially in patients who receive highly emetogenic chemoprotocol and are reluctant to GCCP for economic reasons.

Nationwide longitudinal evidence linking cognitive decline with exposure to fine particulate matter(PM_(2.5))constituents remains scarce in *** constructing a dynamic cohort based on the China Health and Retirement Longitudinal Study,we aimed to assess individual and joint associations of PM_(2.5)constituents with cognitive function among middle-aged and older adults in *** mixed-effects models incorporated with quantile-based g-computation were applied to investigate individual and joint associations of long-term exposures to PM_(2.5)constituents with cognitive *** 13,507 respondents,we evaluated 38,950 follow-up records of cognitive function *** in global cognitive score associated with an interquartile range(IQR)increase in exposure were−1.477(95%CI:−1.722,−1.232)for nitrate,followed by−1.331(−1.529,−1.133)for ammonium,−1.033(−1.184,−0.883)for sulfate,−0.988(−1.144,−0.832)for organic matter and−0.822(−0.946,−0.699)for black *** IQR-equivalent increase in joint exposure to these PM_(2.5)constituents was associated with a decline of−1.353(−1.659,−1.048)in global cognitive ***,younger,and well-educated individuals were at greater vulnerability to cognitive impairment related to individual and joint exposure to PM_(2.5)*** study suggested that later-life exposures to PM_(2.5)constituents were associated with cognitive decline in middle-aged and older adults in China.

Understanding the genetic and metabolic elements that impact meat quality is crucial to improving production and meeting consumer demands in the beef *** in meat quality among various muscle areas in beef cattle can impact pricing in the *** progress in genomics,the specific genes and metabolites that affect meat quality characteristics in Qinchuan cattle remain inadequately ***,this study aims to evaluate the meat quality characteristics of four specific muscle locations (tenderloin,striploin,high rib,and ribeye muscles) in Qinchuan bulls,including 10 traits (total protein content (TPC),intramuscular fat (IMF),non-esterified fatty acid (NEFA),meat color (L*,a*,and b*),shear force (SF),cooking loss (CL),pH0,and pH24).This experiment uses transcriptome,metabolome sequencing,and sophisticated analytical methodologies such as weighted gene co-expression network analysis (WGCNA) and protein–protein interaction networks (PPI) to identify the key genes and metabolites associated with specific *** findings highlight three notable genes (NDUFAB1,NDUFA12,and NDUFB7) linked to intramuscular fat (IMF),three key genes (CSRP3,ACAA3,and ACADVL) correlated with non-esterified fatty acids (NEFA),and one crucial gene (CREBBP) influencing meat *** conclusion,this investigation offers a new perspective on the differences in bovine muscle locations and contributes to the molecular understanding of bovine meat *** research endeavors could delve deeper into the identified genes and pathways to enhance beef cattle’s quality and yield.
