Maritime transportation, a cornerstone of global trade, faces increasing safety challenges du. to growing sea traffic volu.es. This stu.y proposes a novel approach to vessel trajectory prediction u.ilizing Au.omatic Identification System (AIS) data and advanced deep learning models, inclu.ing Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM), Gated Recu.rent u.it (GRu., Bidirectional LSTM (DBLSTM), Simple Recu.rent Neu.al Network (SimpleRNN), and Kalman Filtering. The research implemented rigorou. AIS data preprocessing, encompassing record dedu.lication, noise elimination, stationary simplification, and removal of insignificant trajectories. Models were trained u.ing key navigational parameters: latitu.e, longitu.e, speed, and heading. Spatiotemporal aware processing throu.h trajectory segmentation and topological data analysis (TDA)was employed to captu.e dynamic *** u.ing a three-month AIS dataset demonstrated significant improvements in prediction accu.acy. The GRu.model exhibited su.erior performance, achieving training losses of 0.0020 (Mean Squ.red Error, MSE) and 0.0334 (Mean Absolu.e Error, MAE), with validation losses of 0.0708 (MSE) and 0.1720 (MAE). The LSTM model showed comparable efficacy, with training losses of 0.0011 (MSE) and 0.0258 (MAE), and validation losses of 0.2290 (MSE) and 0.2652 (MAE). Both models demonstrated redu.tions in training and validation losses, measu.ed by MAE, MSE, Average Displacement Error (ADE), and Final Displacement Error (FDE). This research u.derscores the potential of advanced deep learning models in enhancing maritime safety throu.h more accu.ate trajectory predictions, contribu.ing significantly to the development of robu.t, intelligent navigation systems for the maritime indu.try. © 2024 The Au.hors. Genome editing opens a new era of genetic improvement in polyploid crops

Sequ.nce-specific nu.leases(SSN) that generate dou.le-stranded DNA breaks(DSBs) in genes of interest are the key to site-specific genome editing in plants. Genome editing has developed into one method of redu.ing u.desirable traits in crops by the indu.tion of knockou. mu.ations. Different SSN-mediated genome-editing systems, inclu.ing LAGLIDADG homing endonu.leases or meganu.leases, zinc-finger nu.leases, transcription activator-like effector nu.leases and clu.tered regu.arly interspaced short palindromic repeats, are emerging as robu.t tools for introdu.ing fu.ctional mu.ations in polyploid crops inclu.ing citru., wheat, cotton, soybean, rapeseed, potato, grapes, Camelina sativa,dandelion, and tobacco. The approach u.ilizes knowledge of biological mechanisms for targeted indu.tion of DSBs and their error-prone repair, allowing highly specific changes at designated genome loci. In this review, we briefly describe genome-editing technologies and their application to genetic improvement of polyploid crops.

Lax Pairs and Integrability Conditions of Higher-Order Nonlinear Schrdinger Equ.tions

We derive the Lax pairs and integrability conditions of the nonlinear Schrdinger equ.tion with higher-order terms, complex potentials, and time-dependent coefficients. Cu.ic and qu.ntic nonlinearities together with derivative terms are considered. The Lax pairs and integrability conditions for some of the well-known nonlinear Schrdinger equ.tions, inclu.ing a new equ.tion which was not considered previou.ly in the literatu.e, are then derived as special cases. We show most clearly with a similarity transformation that the higher-order terms restrict the integrability to linear potential in contrast with qu.dratic potential for the standard nonlinear Schrdinger equ.tion.

Sinapis arvensis,belonging to the genu. Sinapis of the family Brassicaceae,has good agronomic characters that make it a valu.ble genetic resou.ce for crop improvement and is a cytoplasmic sou.ce of heterologou. cytoplasmic male sterility(CMS).In addition,*** has played an important role in the evolu.ion of the six major cu.tivated Brassica species involved in the triangle of *** next-generation sequ.ncing,we assembled and revealed the gene composition of *** cytoplasmic *** chloroplast genome comprises 153,590 bp,with 112 individu.l genes,inclu.ing 4 r RNA,29 t RNA,and 79 proteincoding *** mitochondrial genome comprises 240,024 bp,with 54 genes,inclu.ing 18 t RNA,three r RNA and 33 protein-coding *** stru.tu.e and evolu.ionary analysis indicated that the sequ.nces of the *** organellar genomes were more similar to those of Brassica nigra and *** than to those of other Brassicaceae *** mitochondrial open reading frames displaying chimeric stru.tu.al featu.es and encoding hypothetical proteins with transmembrane domains may accou.t for the infertility of Nsa CMS previou.ly derived from somatic cell hybridization between *** and *** resu.ts will not only contribu.e to u.ilize the germplasm resou.ce of ***,and comprehend the evolu.ion of organelle genomes within the Brassicaceae family,bu. also help to identify genes conditioning the alloplasmic male sterility of Nsa CMS in ***.

Stu.ies on the Thermo-Mechanical Properties of Gelatin Based Films u.ing 2-Hydroxyethyl Methacrylate by Gamma Radiation

Gelatin films were prepared by casting. Tensile strength (TS) and elongation at break (Eb) of the gelatin films were fou.d to be 46 MPa and 3.5%, respectively. Effect of gamma radiation (Co-60) on the thermo-mechanical properties of the gelatin films was stu.ied. 2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate (HEMA) was added to the gelatin du.ing casting varying (10% - 30% by weight) and fou.d to increase the TS significantly. Then the films were irradiated and fou.d fu.ther increase of TS. Thermo-mechanical properties of HEMA blended gelatin films were compared with those of the pu.e gelatin films. The coefficient of thermal expansion of the gelatin/HEMA films were also measu.ed u.ing thermo mechanical analyzer and fou.d opposite trend with comparison of glass point.

The present paper focu.es on stu.y of graphene and strontiu. titanate（SrTiO3or STO） interface. An ambient pressu.e chemical vapou. deposition（AP-CVD） setu. is u.ed to grow graphene on STO（110）su.strates in the presence of methane, argon and hydrogen gases at 1000 °C for 4 h. Raman spectroscopy measu.ements confirm the presence of graphene on STO su.strates du. to the existence of typical D and G peaks referring to graphene. These characteristic peaks are missing in the spectru. for bare su.strates.X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy（XPS） is carried ou. for elemental analysis of samples, and stu.y their bonding with STO su.strates. We employed the valence band spectru. to calcu.ate the valence band offset（VBO） and condu.tion band offset（CBO） at the G-STO interface. Also, we present an energy band diagram for Bi-layer and ABC（arranging pattern of carbon layers） stacked graphene layers.
