The coupling reaction of 3-cyanoacetyl-2-methylindole 1a with the aromatic diazonium salts gave the corresponding arylhydrazones 2a-e. Compounds 2 were used for synthesis of 4-aminopyrazole-5-carbonitrile 4a-e and 5-amino-4-arylazo-3-pyrazoles 5a-e derivatives. Also, treatment of 3-cyanoacetyl-2-phenylindole 1b with phenyl isothiocyanate gave the corresponding thioacetanilide 7. The later compound 7 was utilized as the key intermediate for the synthesis of some new thiadiazole derivatives 9a-r. The structures of all new compounds were elucidated on the basis of elemental analysis and spectral data.

Increasing global water shortages are accelerating the pace of membrane manufacturing,which generates many environmentally harmful *** challenges need a radical rethink of developing innovative membranes that can address freshwater production without generating environmentally harmful *** work utilized the synthesized ultra-long hydroxyapatite(UHA)by the solvothermal method using the green solvent oleic acid in preparing UHA-based forward osmosis *** membranes were developed using different loading ratios of graphene oxide(GO)by vacuum-assisted filtration *** prepared GO/UHA membranes were identified using X-ray diffraction,scanning electron microscope,Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy,and X-ray photoelectron *** contact angle and pore size distribution were determined for the obtained GO/UHA *** obtained hierarchical porous structure in the prepared membranes with interconnected channels results in a stable water flux with reverse salt *** best water flux rate of 42±2 L·m^(–2)·h^(–1)was achieved using the 50 mg GO/UHA membrane,which is 3.3 times higher than the pristine membrane,and a reverse salt flux of 67 g·m^(-2)·h^(–1).The obtained results showed a promising capability of a new generation of sustainable inorganic-based membranes that can be utilized in freshwater generation by energy-efficient techniques such as forward osmosis.

Intelligent traffic control requires accurate estimation of the road states and incorporation of adaptive or dynamically adjusted intelligent algorithms for making the *** this article,these issues are handled by proposing a novel framework for traffic control using vehicular communications and Internet of Things *** framework integrates Kalman filtering and *** smoothing Kalman filtering,our data fusion Kalman filter incorporates a process-aware model which makes it superior in terms of the prediction *** traditional Q-learning,our Q-learning algorithm enables adaptive state quantization by changing the threshold of separating low traffic from high traffic on the road according to the maximum number of vehicles in the junction *** evaluation,the model has been simulated on a single intersection consisting of four roads:east,west,north,and south.A comparison of the developed adaptive quantized Q-learning(AQQL)framework with state-of-the-art and greedy approaches shows the superiority of AQQL with an improvement percentage in terms of the released number of vehicles of AQQL is 5%over the greedy approach and 340%over the state-of-the-art ***,AQQL provides an effective traffic control that can be applied in today’s intelligent traffic system.

Traditional Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems with relational databases take weeks to deliver predictable insights instantly. The most accurate information is provided to companies to make the best decisions through advanced analytics that examine the past and the future and capture information about the present. Integrating machine learning (ML) into financial ERP systems offers several benefits, including increased accuracy, efficiency, and cost savings. Also, ERP systems are crucial in overseeing different aspects of Human Capital Management (HCM) in organizations. The performance of the staff draws the interest of the management. In particular, to guarantee that the proper employees are assigned to the convenient task at the suitable moment, train and qualify them, and build evaluation systems to follow up their performance and an attempt to maintain the potential talents of workers. Also, predicting employee salaries correctly is necessary for the efficient distribution of resources, retaining talent, and ensuring the success of the organization as a whole. Conventional ERP system salary forecasting methods typically use static reports that only show the system’s current state, without analyzing employee data or providing recommendations. We designed and enforced a prototype to define to apply ML algorithms on Oracle EBS data to enhance employee evaluation using real-time data directly from the ERP system. Based on measurements of accuracy, the Random Forest algorithm enhanced the performance of this system. This model offers an accuracy of 90% on the balanced dataset.

Contagious bovine Pleuropneumonia (CBPP) is an infectious and highly contagious respiratory disease of cattle and water buffalo, caused by the Mycoplasma mycoides subspecies mycoides. It induces significant economic losses and leads to a severe livestock production problem, negatively influencing people’s livelihoods of affected countries. In Somalia, there is no updated data on the prevalence and distribution of the disease. Hence, a descriptive cross-sectional study was conducted from September 2022 to June 2023 in different villages under the Afgoye District of lower Shabelle region, Somalia. The main purpose of this study is to assess the sero-prevalence and identify the associated risk factors for the occurrence of the disease. In this study, villages, age, sex, breed, and body condition were considered as risk factors. A total of 90 blood samples were collected and tested in the laboratory using the Anti-CBPP Elisa kit test. Out of 90 serum samples from herd cattle, 32 were positive, resulting in an overall prevalence of 35.5%. In addition, we found a statistically significant variation between the prevalence of the disease and factors such as sex, age, body condition and breeds. In summary, the overall prevalence of Contagious bovine pleuropneumonia in this study area is worth to be considered because there is a low quality of health care and less awareness of the Contagious bovine Pleuropneumonia effects on herds, which warrants the official authorities to act and follow appropriate preventive and control measures to reduce the incidence of the disease and generate appropriate controlling and prevention measures in all regions of Somalia.

The Prevalence and Clinical Manifestations of Co-Infection in Pediatric Infectious Mononucleosis: A Single-Centered, Retrospective Study

Background: Recent studies indicate that the incidence of infectious mononucleosis (IM) has increased in China. Furthermore, it has been shown that children diagnosed with IM are prone to acquiring other pathogens. However, there is limited research on the prevalence of these co-infections in children with IM. Thus, we conducted this study to determine the prevalence of coinfections and common pathogens, as well as to compare clinical manifestations in children with and without coinfections. Methods: This retrospective observational study was conducted at the Department of Pediatrics Zhongnan Hospital of Wuhan University, Wuhan, China, with data from January 2018 to January 2023. Data, including demographics, symptoms, lab results, and complications, were collected from the hospital’s electronic database and analyzed. The statistical analysis included descriptive statistics, independent samples t-tests and Mann-Whitney tests to compare the means of continuous variables. Statistical significance was determined by p-values less than 0.05. Results: The study involved 216 participants diagnosed with IM, predominantly males (61.6%) aged 0 - 4 years (50.9%). Coinfection was detected in 39.8% of children, with multiple pathogens present in 33.72% of these cases. Among coinfection cases, 40% occurred in children under 5 years old, and females made up 54.2% of these cases. Mycoplasma pneumoniae (MP) was the most prevalent pathogen, accounting for 18.1% of cases. Influenza B (IFB) and Influenza A (IFA) viruses were found in 16.7% and 13.9% of participants, respectively, indicating a notable occurrence of respiratory pathogen coinfections. Male gender, fever, tonsillopharyngitis, lower HGB levels, higher ESR, CRP, and AST levels were correlated with coinfections. Conclusion: In summary, the study revealed a high prevalence of coinfections among children diagnosed with IM, particularly involving Mycoplasma pneumoniae and influenza viruses. The problem of nonlinear instability of interfacial waves between two immiscible conducting cylindrical fluids of a weak Oldroyd 3-constant kind is studied. The system is assumed to be influenced by an axial magnetic field, where the effect of surface tension is taken into account. The analysis, based on the method of multiple scale in both space and time, includes the linear as well as the nonlinear effects. This scheme leads to imposing of two levels of the solvability conditions, which are used to construct like-nonlinear Schr6dinger equations （1-NLS） with complex coefficients. These equations generally describe the competition between nonlinearity and dispersion. The stability criteria are theoret- ically discussed and thereby stability diagrams are obtained for different sets of physical parameters. Proceeding to the nonlinear step of the problem, the results show the appearance of dual role of some physical parameters. Moreover, these effects depend on the wave kind, short or long, except for the ordinary viscosity parameter. The effect of the field on the system stability depends on the existence of viscosity and differs in the linear case of the problem from the nonlinear one. There is an obvious difference between the effect of the three Oldroyd constants on the system stability. New instability regions in the parameter space, which appear due to nonlinear effects, are shown.

The oil industries are an important part of a country’s *** crude oil’s price is influenced by a wide range of ***,how accurately can countries predict its behavior and what predictors to employ are two main *** this view,we propose utilizing deep learning and ensemble learning techniques to boost crude oil’s price forecasting *** suggested method is based on a deep learning snapshot ensemble method of the Transformer *** examine the superiority of the proposed model,this paper compares the proposed deep learning ensemble model against different machine learning and statistical models for daily Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries(OPEC)oil price *** results demonstrated the outperformance of the proposed method over statistical and machine learning *** precisely,the proposed snapshot ensemble of Transformer method achieved relative improvement in the forecasting performance compared to autoregressive integrated moving average ARIMA(1,1,1),ARIMA(0,1,1),autoregressive moving average(ARMA)(0,1),vector autoregression(VAR),random walk(RW),support vector machine(SVM),and random forests(RF)models by 99.94%,99.62%,99.87%,99.65%,7.55%,98.38%,and 99.35%,respectively,according to mean square error metric.

Outcomes of curative liver resection for hepatocellular carcinoma in patients with cirrhosis

BACKGROUND Given the poor synthetic function of cirrhotic liver,successful resection for patients with hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)necessitates the ability to achieve resections with tumor free *** To validate post hepatectomy liver failure score(PHLF),compare it to other established systems and to stratify risks in patients with cirrhosis who underwent curative liver resection for *** Between December 2010 and January 2017,120 patients underwent curative resection for HCC in patients with cirrhosis were included,the pre-operative,operative and post-operative factors were recorded to stratify patients'risks of decompensation,survival,and *** The preoperative model for end-stage liver disease(MELD)score[odds ratio(OR)=2.7,95%CI:1.2-5.7,P=0.013],tumor diameter(OR=5.4,95%CI:2-14.8,P=0.001)and duration of hospital stay(OR=2.5,95%CI:1.5-4.2,P=0.001)were significant independent predictors of hepatic decompensation after *** the preoperative MELD score[hazard ratio(HR)=1.37,95%CI:1.16-1.62,P<0.001]and different grades of PHLF(grade A:HR=2.33,95%CI:0.59-9.24;Grade B:HR=3.15,95%CI:1.11-8.95;Grade C:HR=373.41,95%CI:66.23-2105.43;P<0.001)and HCC recurrence(HR=11.67,95%CI:4.19-32.52,P<0.001)were significant independent predictors for *** Preoperative MELD score and tumor diameter can independently predict hepatic ***,preoperative MELD score,different grades of PHLF and HCC recurrence can precisely predict survival.
