Dear Editor, In interphase nuclei, chromosomes occupy specific localizations called chromosome territories （CTs）. Distribution of CTs has been related to chromosome size and gene density and is known to influence gene expression.~ This pattern of organization appears to be a widespread nuclear feature, both in somatic and germ ceils.

In this study,the fibers of invasive species Agave americana *** Ricinus communis *** successfully used for the first time as new sources to produce cytocompatible and highly crystalline cellulose *** nanofibers were obtained by two methods,based on either alkaline or acid *** morphology,chemical composition,and crystallinity of the obtained materials were characterized by scanning electron microscopy(sEM)together with energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy(EDX),dynamic light scattering(DLs),X-ray diffraction(XRD),and Fourier transform infrared(FTIR)*** crystallinity indexes(CIs)of the cellulose nanofibers extracted from *** and *** were very high(94.1%and 92.7%,respectively).Biological studies evaluating the cytotoxic effects of the prepared cellulose nanofibers on human embryonic kidney 293 T(HEK293 T)cells were also *** nanofibers obtained using the two different extraction methods were all shown to be cytocompatible in the concentration range assayed(i.e.,0-500μg/mL).Our results showed that the nanocellulose extracted from *** and *** fibers has high potential as a new renewable green source of highly crystalline cellulose-based cytocompatible nanomaterials for biomedical applications.

Different treatments were conducted over Ti6Al4V samples in order to produce a surface modification to increase cell attachment and *** surface treatments evaluated in this study were as follows:etching with sulfuric acid/hydrochloric acid,oxidizing with hydrogen peroxide and low-pressure oxygen plasma *** contrast to other works found in the literature,this research conducts a comparison between different chemical and physical treatments in terms of different assays for surface characterization:X-ray diffraction,scanning electron microscope(sEM),energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy,water contact angle,release of vanadium ions and cell viability tests(MTT)of human osteoblasts(hFOB 1.19).Cell morphology over the different substrates was also studied by sEM *** was found that plasma and peroxide treatments increase the O/Ti ratio at the titanium surface and provide an increase in cell *** the other hand,acid etching provides a superhydrophilic surface which is not able to improve the cell attachment of human osteoblasts.

Inferior vena cava thrombosis is an under-recognized entity associated with significant morbidity and mortality. This is the reason why, although the diagnosis is challenging, a high index of suspicion is required. Regarding this condition, we present the case of a 63-year-old man who had repeatedly visited the emergency room suffering from abdominal and back pain and painful lower limb edema. After several tests, including magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), he was diagnosed to have agenesis of left renal vein and inferior vena cava thrombosis, from hypercoagulable state secondary to Antiphospholipid syndrome. He had anticoagulation treatment with low-molecular-weight heparin with good subsequent evolution. This study sets out a descriptive retrospective study of fifty cases of inferior vena cava thrombosis diagnosed in a third-level hospital in the north of spain over a ten-year period (2010-2018). The aim of this article is to identify the epidemiology, predisposing factors and symptoms that characterize this entity, in order to be able to achieve an early diagnosis that allows us to initiate immediate treatment, minimizing acute and chronic complications of this disease.

Mammals can show conspicuous behavioral responses to thermal variation,including changes in movement *** used an integrative approach to understand how environmental temperature can drive the movement behavior of a mammal with low capacity for physiological thermoregulation,the giant anteater(Myrmecophaga tridactyla).We tracked 52 giant anteaters in 7 areas throughout the Brazilian *** estimated the distance moved,area used,use of forest areas,and mean environmental temperature for each monitoring day of each *** modeled these data with Mixed structural Equations—considering the possible interactions between our variables and controlling for sex and body *** anteaters reduced displacement and increased forest use with decreasing environmental temperature,probably because of their low body heat *** is possible that they reduce distance moved and area used by reducing the duration of *** decreasing temperature,forest habitats become warmer than open ones,besides buffer rain and chilly *** displacement and using forests are important strategies to reduce body heat loss and the energetic costs of ***,decreasing movement can limit food access and,consequently,***,we highlight the importance of forests as thermal *** increasing frequency and intensity of extreme weather events,we showed the need to preserve forest patches to offer suitable conditions for tropical mammals’behavioral *** this context,policies favoring deforestation on Brazilian territory are especially ***,we emphasize the need of integrative approaches to understand the complex interactions between organisms and the environment.

针对考虑误差和齿面摩擦参数随机性的齿轮振动特性不明确的问题,综合统计法和集中质量法,数值研究误差和齿面摩擦参数的随机特性,分析轮齿误差对齿面摩擦参数的影响,建立计及误差和齿面摩擦参数随机性的直齿轮传动弯扭耦合振动模型;采用4阶龙格库塔法进行数值求解,得到齿轮传动的振动响应,探析齿轮误差和齿面摩擦参数随机性对齿轮振动特性的影响。结果表明,考虑误差和齿面摩擦随机性后,在两者的作用下齿轮动力学响应在频域与相图上表现出更为复杂的随机性,其中误差随机性对于齿轮系统动力学稳定性的干扰更强。研究结果为齿轮传动的动态设计提供理论参考。

Background: 70% of ovarian cancer cases are diagnosed at an advanced stage (III or IV) of the disease and, in turn, with a high prevalence of peritoneal carcinosis and ascites, which leads to progressive malnutrition in patients, with the consequent deterioration of their general condition. There is a very important relationship between nutritional status, quality of life, survival, and the ability to tolerate multidisciplinary treatment of peritoneal carcinosis. Methods: A phase II, open-label, single-center, non-randomised clinical trial was conducted that included 36 patients with advanced disease who were administered the nutritional supplement Ocoxin, 30 ml twice a day, beginning one week before chemotherapy (CT) based on carboplatin/paclitaxel, of which they receive three cycles with neoadjuvant intent. Ocoxin treatment was continued during chemotherapy and for three weeks after completion of the last cycle, as well as during any periods for which this treatment was discontinued due to toxicity. The effect of Ocoxin on the quality of life was assessed through the QLQ C30 and QLQ OV28 questionnaires from the start of treatment until the end of the follow-up period. In addition, the Karnofsky Index and nutritional parameters were assessed. Results: There were no significant differences between adverse events versus baseline values, except in leukocytes, lymphocytes, neutrophils, ALT, and AsT. There was no deterioration of the QoL scales, except for those related to the effects of chemotherapy and alopecia. Conclusions: Ocoxin as an adjuvant to chemotherapy appears to improve better tolerance to chemotherapy, showed a good safety profile, and improved quality of life. For further information on Ocoxin neoadjuvant therapy benefits, a phase III clinical trial will be needed.
