Diversity, Abundance and Distribution Patterns of Epibenthic Echinoderms in Dungonab Bay, Red Sea, Sudan

The abundance, distribution and diversity of epibenthic echinoderm were investigated at Dungonab Bay in the Red Sea coastal water of the Sudan. Four permanent line transects were chosen. Eight (30 × 2) square metre belt transects along each permanent line transect at 20 metre intervals were used to collect data. The data were subjected to univariate and multivariate analyses. Spatial variations of epibenthic echinoderm abundance were assessed with one-way analysis of variance. Hierarchical agglomerative clustering was used to identify and illustrate the similarities in echinoderm abundance between line transects and between belt transects. Indices of richness (d), diversity (H'), evenness (J') and dominance (C) were used to explain the diversity of epibenthic echinoderm species. The distribution pattern of each echinoderm species was determined in each permanent line transect. A total of 986 individuals were recorded within sixteen species of epibenthic echinoderms in the four line transects. Holothuriidae was the dominant family (5 species and 342 individuals). The most abundant echinoderms species was Pearsonothuria graeffei (77 individuals, about 7.81%). Abundances intra-transects and intra-families were insignificant (f = 1.67, p = 0.183, df = 3 and f = 3.24, p = 0.083, df = 9, respectively). The highest values of Shannon-Wiener diversity index (H'), Pielou evenness index (J'), Margalef species richness index (d), and Simpson Dominance index (C) were 2.738, 0.9875, 2.791 and 0.07159, respectively. The distribution patterns of all species in the study transects varied between clumped and uniform, with the exception of Asthenosoma varium of the Echinothuridae family, which had clumped distribution patterns in all transects. The study concluded that Dungonab Bay supports rich and diverse communities of epibenthic echinoderms.

Human speech indirectly represents the mental state or emotion of *** use of Artificial Intelligence(AI)-based techniques may bring revolution in this modern era by recognizing emotion from *** this study,we introduced a robust method for emotion recognition from human speech using a well-performed preprocessing technique together with the deep learning-based mixed model consisting of Long Short-Term Memory(LSTM)and Convolutional Neural Network(CNN).About 2800 audio files were extracted from the Toronto emotional speech set(TESS)database for this study.A high pass and Savitzky Golay Filter have been used to obtain noise-free as well as smooth audio data.A total of seven types of emotions;Angry,Disgust,Fear,Happy,Neutral,Pleasant-surprise,and Sad were used in this ***,Fundamental frequency,and Mel Frequency Cepstral Coefficient(MFCC)have been used to extract the emotion features,and these features resulted in 97.5%accuracy in the mixed LSTM+CNN *** mixed model is found to be performed better than the usual state-of-the-art models in emotion recognition from *** also indicates that this mixed model could be effectively utilized in advanced research dealing with sound processing.

Artificial sources of radiation account for approximately 14% of the annual radiation dose from all sources of radiation. Because of the increased lifetime risk per unit dose for children, radiographic procedures could lead to increase the radiogenic risk of cancer. This study intended to review the pediatric doses in planar radiography procedures and to assess different methods used to reduce the radiation dose for pediatric patients. Studies addressing pediatric dose optimization were identified from a search of the internet scientific databases. The search in literature was limited to journal articles that were written in English. The findings of the study illustrate that there are many available methods of dose reduction are available. The application of dose reduction methods will reduce the dose up to 75% of its current value. Training of staff is the cornerstone of patient dose optimization in pediatric radiology.

The study investigated the concentration of Lead, Cadmium, Nickels and Chromium in sediment and seagrass tissues at six selected sites along the Sudanese Red Sea coast. The findings of the study added some important and necessary information about the status and condition of the coastal environment in the Sudanese Red Sea coast in terms of the extent of pollution with heavy metals. The study sites included: Marsa Bashayer, Marsa Dama Dama, Green Area, Shipyard, Marsa Halout and Dungonab Bay. The Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer was used to measure Lead, Cadmium and Nickels. The colorimetric detection method was used for Chromium using the Spectrophotometer. Marsa Dama Dama site revealed high levels concentration of heavy metals in sediment for Lead (60.5) μg/g, Cadmium (0.22) μg/g and Chromium (146.65) μg/g. Marsa Halout showed the highest mean concentration of Nickel in sediment at 14 μg/g. The variation of concentration of metals in sediment between the sites was not significant. The mean concentration of metals in seagrass species tissues ranged from 3.9 to 26.25 μg/g for Lead, 0.1 to 0.90 μg/g for Cadmium, 0.38 to 5.96 μg/g for Nickel and 0.15 to 0.495 μg/g for Chromium. The differences of concentration of heavy metals in seagrass tissues among the sites were significant for Lead and not significant for Cadmium;Nickel and Chromium.

The aim of the paper is to provide some evidences on relationships among the degree of financial integration, stock exchange markets, and volatility of national market returns. In this paper, the authors employ correlation and cluster analyses in order to investigate the impact of stock exchange consolidation on volatility of market returns, in terms of a financial integration between involved stock exchanges before and after the merger. By using the Generalized Autoregressive Conditional Heteroskedasticity （GARCH）（1.1） model, the authors test the change in volatilities of national stock exchange markets involved in the following stock exchange integration case studies： Euronext, Bolsasy Mercados Espanoles （BME）, and Swedish-Finnish financial services company （OMX）. These three case studies are considered as completed cases of market consolidation, where the data are available enough to conduct the current research. By using daily data of national returns of engaged European stock markets from 1995 to 2007, the paper investigates the influence of stock exchange consolidation on volatility of national stock market returns. The obtained results confirm the gradual decrease of volatility in each of the integrated stock markets. However, the level of decrease in terms of volatility depends on economic characteristics of each engaged market and its degree of integration with other financial services. The results of correlation and cluster analyses confirm that stock operators have created significantly non-official integration links through cross-memberships and cross-listings even before the consolidations. Thus, the mergers among stock exchanges can be considered as the rational consequences of the high internal co-movements between involved markets. Furthermore, stock exchange markets with strong non-official integration links show an immediate decrease of volatility after the merger, meanwhile for others, it takes several years before the volatility can decrease as

A target is assumed to move randomly on one of two disjoint lines L1 and L2 according to a stochastic process . We have two searchers start looking for the lost target from some points on the two lines separately. Each of the searchers moves continuously along his line in both directions of his starting point. When the target is valuable as a person lost on one of disjoint roads, or is serious as a car filled with explosives which moves randomly in one of disjoint roads, in these cases the search effort must be unrestricted and then we can use more than one searcher. In this paper we show the existence of a search plan such that the expected value of the first meeting time between the target and one of the two searchers is minimum.

BACKGROUND Reconstruction of the pelvic ring anatomy in unstable anterior pelvic ring injuries is a significant step to reduce the mortality rate associated with these injuries *** is a debate on using either an anterior subcutaneous pelvis internal fixator(INFIX)or an anterior supra-acetabular external fixator(EXFIX)to manage an unstable anterior pelvic ring *** To compare the functional and radiological outcomes and complications of INFIX vs EXFIX in managing unstable pelvic ring *** A prospective cohort study included 54 patients with unstable pelvic ring *** patients were divided into two groups;the INFIX group,in which 30 cases were fixed by INFIX,and the EXFIX group,in which 24 patients were treated by *** average age in the EXFIX group was 31.17 years(16-57 years),while in the INFIX group,it was 34.5 years(17-53 years).The study included 20(66.7%)males and 10(33.3%)females in the INFIX group and 10(41.7%)males and 14(58.3%)females in the EXFIX *** radiological outcomes were evaluated using Matta and Tornetta's score,and the functional outcomes using the Majeed *** The results revealed a statistically significant difference between both groups(P=0.013)regarding radiological outcomes,according to Matta and Tornetta's score in favor of the INFIX ***,standing,and walking abilities were measured at a 3-mo follow-up visit using Majeed score *** was significantly better among the INFIX group than the EXFIX group in all three *** the final follow-up,both groups had no statistically significant difference according to the Majeed score;92.35 in the INFIX group and 90.99 in the EXFIX group(P=0.513).A lower surgical site infection rate was noticed in the INFIX group(P=0.007).CONCLUSION Anterior subcutaneous pelvis INFIX is associated with better radiological outcomes and a lower infection rate than anterior supra-acetabular EXFIX in managing patients with unstable anterior pelvic
