Bimetallic Co /Fe catalysts supported on carbon nanotubes( CNTs) were prepared,and niobium( Nb) was added as promoter to the 70 Co ∶30Fe /CNT catalyst. The physicochemical properties of the catalysts were characterized,and the catalytic performances were analyzed at the same operation conditions( H_2 ∶CO( volume ratio) = 2 ∶1,p = 1 MPa,and t = 260 ℃) in a tubular fixed-bed microreactor system. The addition of Nb to the bimetallic catalyst decreases the average size of the oxide nanoparticles and improves the reducibility of the bimetallic catalyst. Evaluation of the catalyst performance in a Fischer-Tropsch reaction shows that the catalyst results in high selectivity to methane,and the selectivity to C_(5+) increased slightly in the bimetallic catalyst unlike that in the monometallic catalysts. The addition of 1% Nb to the bimetallic catalyst increases CO conversion and selectivity to C_(5+). Meanwhile,a decrease in methane selectivity is observed.

The effect of ethanedioic acid（Ed A） functionalization on Al2O3 supported Ni catalyst was studied on the hydrodeoxygenation（HDO）, isomerization, kinetics and Arrhenius parameters of octadec-9-enoic acid（OA） into biofuel in this report. This was achieved via synthesis of two catalysts; the first, nickel alumina catalyst（Ni/Al2O3） was via the incorporation of inorganic Ni precursor into Al2O3; the second was via the incorporation nickel oxalate（Ni Ox） prepared by functionalization of Ni with Ed A into Al2O3 to obtain organometallic Ni Ox/Al2O3 catalyst. Their characterization results showed that Ni species present in Ni/Al2O3 and Ni Ox/Al2O3 were 8.2% and 9.3%, respectively according to the energy dispersive X-ray result. Ni Ox/Al2O3 has comparably higher Ni content due to the Ed A functionalization which also increases its acidity and guarantees high Ni dispersion with weaker metal-support-interaction leading to highly reducible Ni as seen in the X-ray diffraction, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, TPR and Raman spectroscopy results. Their activities tested on the HDO of OA showed that Ni Ox/Al2O3 did not only display the best catalytic and reusability abilities, but it also possesses isomerization ability due to its increased acidity. The Ni Ox/Al2O3 also has the highest rate constants evaluated using pseudo-first-order kinetics,but the least activation energy of 176 k J/mol in the biofuel formation step compared to 244 k J/mol evaluated when using Ni/Al2O3. The result is promising for future feasibility studies toward commercialization of catalytic HDO of OA into useful biofuel using organometallic catalysts.

Various materials have been developed for environmental remediation of mercury ion *** these materials,covalent organic frameworks(COFs)can efficiently adsorb Hg(II)***,two thiol-modified COFs(COF-S-SH and COF-OH-SH)were prepared,through the reaction between 2,5-divinylterephthalaldehyde and 1,3,5-tris-(4-aminophenyl)benzene,followed by post-synthetic modification using bis(2-mercaptoethyl)sulfide and dithiothreitol,*** modified COFs showed excellent Hg(II)adsorption abilities with maximum adsorption capacities of 586.3 and 535.5 mg g^(-1)for COF-S-SH and COF-OH-SH,*** prepared materials showed excellent selective absorbability for Hg(II)against multiple cationic metals in ***,the experimental data showed that both co-existing toxic anionic diclofenac sodium(DCF)and Hg(II)performed positive effect for capturing another pollutant by these two modified ***,a synergistic adsorption mechanism between Hg(II)and DCF on COFs was ***,density functional theory calculations revealed that synergistic adsorption occurred between Hg(II)and DCF,which resulted in a significant reduction in the adsorption system's *** work highlights a new direction for application of COFs to simultaneous removal of heavy metals and co-existing organic pollutants from water.

The efficacy of focus-on-form(FonF)within the context of communicatively-oriented language activities is measured via *** is defined as learners’verbal responses immediately following either preemptive or reactive FonF instruction(Loewen,2004).The present study investigated what is(not)meant and(not)measured through this definition of *** on the audio-recorded analysis of 20 hours of communicatively–oriented interactions in an intermediate IELTS class with two teachers,this study investigates the frequency of preemptive and reactive incidental FonF,and the subsequent occurrence of uptake in an English as a foreign language *** study also provided an in-depth qualitative analysis of these classes through field notes,learner notes,and video-recorded data to explore the instances of uptake moves that were not captured through audio-recorded *** quantitative findings of this study demonstrated a very low and disappointing uptake ***,the study did not find a significant difference between reactive and preemptive FonF in terms of uptake ***,the qualitative data revealed a myriad of uptake instances not observable via the initial data *** on these findings,a new definition of uptake is suggested,which includes camouflaged uptake and learners’immediate oral responses to *** uptake is used to gauge the efficacy of incidental FonF in primarily meaning–oriented classes,it is concluded that audio-recorded data just show the tip of the iceberg as far as the uptake rate is ***,second language acquisition researchers are recommended to employ multiple indices to examine the effectiveness of FonF instruction.

Purpose:To systematically review the risk of permanent disability related to road traffic injuries(RTIs)and to determine the implications for future research regarding permanent impairment following road traffic ***:We conducted this systematic review according to the preferred reporting items for systematic reviews and meta-analysis *** extended search of the literature was carried out in 4 major electronic databases for scientific research papers published from January 1980 to February *** teams include 2 reviewers each,screened independently the titles/abstracts,and after that,reviewed the full text of the included *** quality of the studies was assessed using the strengthening the reporting of observational studies in epidemiology(STROBE)checklist.A third reviewer was assessed any discrepancy and all data of included studies were ***,the data were systematically analyzed,and the related data were ***:Five out of 16 studies were evaluated as high-quality according to the STROBE *** studies ranked the initial injuries according to the abbreviated injury scale *** studies reported the total risk of permanent medical impairment following RTIs which varied from 2%to 23%for car occupants and 2.8%to 46%for *** studies reported the risk of permanent medical impairment of the different body *** studies stated the most common body region to develop permanent impairment,of which 6 studies demonstrated that injuries of the cervical spine and neck were at the highest risk of becoming permanent ***:The finding of this review revealed the necessity of providing a globally validated method to evaluate permanent medical impairment following RTIs across the *** would facilitate decisionmaking about traffic injuries and efficient management to reduce the financial and psychological burdens for individuals and communities.

OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the efficacy of Pistacia atlantica Desf. oleoresin essential oil on peptic ulcer(PU) and its antibacterial effect on metronidazole-resistant Helicobacter pylori, as well as chemi-cal composition of the essential ***: The essential oil was standardized using gas chromatography mass spectrometry(GC/MS) analysis. Acute toxicity of the essential oil was assessed in animal model. In vitro anti-Helicobacter pylori activity was performed through disc diffusion and minimum inhibitory concentration method. For gastroprotective assay, rats received Pistacia atlantica Desf. essential oil(25, 50 and 100 mg/kg orally) 1 h before induction of ulcer by ***(ulcer index and protection rate) and microscopic examination were ***: The GC/MS analysis of the essential oil led to the identification of twenty constituents andα-pinene is predominant constituent. The essential oil was safe up to 2000 mg/kg. All Helicobacter pylori strains were susceptible to the essential oil and the MIC ranged from 275 to 1100 μg/m L. The ulcer index for treated groups was significantly reduced compared to control(P < 0.001) with EC50 value of 12.32 mg/kg. In microscopic examination, Pistacia atlantica attenuated destruction and necrosis of gastric ***: Current study exhibited protective effect of standardized Pistacia atlantica essential oil against ethanol-induced gastric ulcer and its antibacterial activity on Helicobacter pylori. α-pinene might be the responsible agent.

Objective: To investigate the effect of Thymus vulgaris(T. vulgaris) on learning and memory functions in scopolamine-induced memory deficit in rats. Memory enhancing activity in scopolamine-induced amnesic rats was investigated by assessing the Morris water maze and passive avoidance ***: A total of 42 male Wistar rats were divided into 6 equal groups as follow:control group: received water, scopolamine treated group: received scopolamine 1 mg/kg for 15 days, two scopolamine + T. vulgaris treated groups: received scopolamine and T. vulgaris extract 50 and 100 mg/kg body weight per day for 15 days, two intact groups:received T. vulgaris extract 50 and 100 mg/kg body weight per day for 15 ***: Administration of T. vulgaris extract significantly restored memory and learning impairments induced by scopolamine in the passive avoidance test and Morris water maze ***: T. vulgaris extract has repairing effects on memory and behavioral disorders produced by scopolamine and may have beneficial effects in the treatment of Alzheimer’s disease.

The Impact of Exited Pollutants of Cement Plant on the Soil and Leaves of Trees Species: A Case Study in Golestan Province

Background & Aims: Cement industry is very contaminated. Contaminants resulting from industries include dust, carbon compounds, sulfur and nitrogen. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the output of pollutants from cement plants in soil samples and leaf tree species. Methods: This study descriptive-analytic was designed tree species, plants and soil around the plant. Samples from four different stations within 500 meters of factory and 21 packages (each package contains three examples of the sample) were sent for laboratory tasks. Information of sampling stations in the soil, the plants and factories of qualitative and quantitative tests on samples of soil pollutants output of factories, plant species and trees daily and using written lists were collected. After the sampling, the samples were measured using standard methods and analyzed using statistical software. Results: Distribution of the total amount of metals in oak and black plants and reed Talo is normal and can be used for parametric tests. Also, there is no significant relationship statistically among the total amount of metals in plants such as oak trees, reed and Siah Talo. Conclusions: According to the findings of this study, we can conclude that dust subsides the leaves of three species of oak and black Talo and reed which contain considerable concentrations of metals such as silver, barium, bismuth, cesium, chromium, cobalt, cadmium and arsenic.
