The Cretaceous Kazhdumi and Gurpi forma- tions, Ahmadi Member of the Sarvak Formation, and Paleogene Pabdeh Formation are important source rock candidates of the Middle Cretaceous-Early Miocene pet- roleum system in the Persian Gulf. This study characterizes generation potential, type of organic matter, and thermal maturity of 262 cutting samples （marls and argillaceous limestones） from these rock units taken from 16 fields in the Iranian sector of the Persian Gulf. In addition, the burial and thermal histories of these source rocks were analyzed by one-dimensional basin modeling. Based on the total organic carbon and genetic potential values, fair hydro- carbon generation potential is suggested for the studied samples. Based on Tma~ and vitrinite reflectance values, the studied samples are thermally immature to mature for hydrocarbon generation. The generated models indicate that studied source rocks are immature in central wells. The Gurpi and Pabdeh formations are immature and the Ahmadi Member and Kazhdumi Formation are early mature in the western wells. The Pabdeh Formation is within the main oil window and other source rocks are at the late oil window in the eastern wells. The hydrocarbon expulsion from the source rocks began after deposition of related caprocks which ensures entrapment and preserva- tion of migrated hydrocarbon.

Prevention and treatment of constipation in children from the perspective of Iranian traditional medicine

Constipation is one of the most common complaints of children and a common cause of referrals to pediatricians. Numerous reasons for this disease have been mentioned in the Iranian traditional medicine （ITM）. It is believed that this disorder is mostly due to the lack of consideration of the six essential principles （Setteh-ye-Zarurieah）, which are necessary to maintain health and prevent disease. In this descriptive study we collected and classified the concepts related to the topic by reviewing reliable ITM text books. Scientific databases were also searched for the most commonly used herbs in the treatment of constipation. The results showed that, from the perspective of ITM, the first step in treating constipation in children is making lifestyle changes. This includes giving appropriate training in the six essential principles, and making modification in existing habits where necessary. In the next steps, using some herbal remedies for topical or oral administration is recommended. On the other hand, a few clinical trials have been done concerning the effects of herbal medicines on pediatric constipation. Therefore, ITM＇s preventive and curative strategies can provide an efficient and cost-effective way to address constipation in children. This study can serve as a preface to performing clinical studies in this field.

Determination of an appropriate location for monitoring soil water content (SWC) is a keyfactor in efficient use of water in precision agriculture, however, the main challenge is thedynamic movement of water and root development in the soil profile. The objective of thisstudy was investigating how SWC distribution in a loam soil profile at two growth stages ofmaize may impact the suitable location for SWC monitoring in a drip-tape irrigation system.A new concept, Average Moisture Representative Surface (AMRS) was proposed to determine the surface of the soil profile, which represent the average soil moisture of the wettedvolume. SWC samples were taken during two irrigation intervals (48~52 days after planting(DAP) and 68~73 DAP) and root growth pattern was studied through root length density (RLD)at 50 and 100 DAP. The results revealed that a non-uniform wetting pattern after irrigationlimits the appropriate locations for SWC monitoring to point measurements and with time,SWC depletion resulted in enlarging AMRS. At the end of growing season, an increase of rootgrowth around the drippers increased the variation of root water uptake in different soil layers, and thus optimal place for soil sensors was limited to the upper layers, where the maximum root water uptake occurred. Overall, it is recommended to install soil sensors, such astensiometers and TDRs at a horizontal distance of 5~20 cm from the crop and a depth of10~20 cm from the soil surface while drip-tape is aligned close to the maize row.

Objective:To determine the prevalence and antimicrobial resistance of Clostridium difficile(***) isolated from ready-to-eat foods of ***:From January to August 2013,a total of 368 unpacked ieady-to-eat food samples were purchased from randomly selected supermarkets,retail stores and restaurants located in Isfahan and Shahrekord,Iran and were evaluated for the presence of ***:*** spores were detected in 5(1.36%) of the 368 *** highest prevalence of *** was found in fasl salad(4.29%).followed by yogurt stew(2%),and olovyeh salad(0.93%).All 140 maccaroni salad and I'alafel sandwich samples were negative for *** of the five *** isolates(20%) contained tcdA,tcdB and cdtB toxin genes and four strains(80%) contained *** tcdB toxin ***,among the five *** isolates,only three strains were found to be toxigenic for toxin A and/or B by *** were susceptible to vancomycin and metronidazole,but variably resistant to other antimicrobial ***:This study,combined with studies on other food sources,suggests that widespread contamination of food is common.

This study analyzes the problem of robust stability of fractional-order delay systems of neutral type under actuator saturation.A Lyapunov–Krasovskii(LK)function is constructed and conditions of the asymptotic robust stability of such systems are given,which are formulated by linear matrix inequalities(LMIs),using the Lyapunov direct *** algorithm is introduced to compute the gain of the state feedback controller for extending the domain of *** theoretical results are validated using some numerical examples.

Mango is one of the most popular fruits in the world due to its attractive color, delicious taste, and excellent nutritional properties. Mango is among the most economically and culturally important tropical fruits. Mangos have become a standard food crop in south Iran. Quality determination of fruits is at present characterized by the overwhelming use of sensory. Quality indices include primarily external properties, such as appearance, size, shape, colour, texture, and flavour. Mangoes are rich in antioxidants. Antioxidants are really necessary for human diet and a healthy and longer life. Numerous phytochemicals are present in mango peel and pulp, such as the triterpene, lupeol which is under basic research for its potential biological effects. Thus high quality will attract people to the high consumption of fruits. Cultivars prepared with the origin of the Iran, India, Pakistan, and the Philippines. In this study, 10 cultivars were compared in terms of some indicators of quality in Ahvaz. One of the mango quality evaluation methods is sensory laboratory evaluation (panel test). This research carried out at 2013 in Chamran University, Ahvaz, Iran. The result indicated that the most quality was related to Alphonso cultivar. On this basis, fruit features such as mango flesh and skin color are an important component role in consumer acceptability.
