Background: Obes.ty is.becom.ng increas.ngly prevalent in m.ny populations.and has.becom. one of the m.s. com.only occurring ris. factors.in obs.etric practice. In nations.of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), the prevalence of overweight adults.has.been reported to be 35% am.ngs. fem.les. while the prevalence of obes.ty has.been reported to be 40% am.ngs. fem.les. The s.udy aim.d to identify the rate and outcom. of Pregnancy After Bariatric s.rgery at Latifa Hos.ital (PABs.. m.thod: This.is.a hos.ital bas.d cros.-s.ctional s.udy including all patients.s.en at Latifa hos.ital at Dubai Health Authority (DHA), Dubai, UAE between January 2018 and Decem.er 2018. The data included dem.graphic details. ges.ational age, the m.de of delivery, m.dical his.ory, clinical findings. weight before s.rgery, weight after at antenatal booking, type of perform.d s.rgery, type of pregnancy (s.ontaneous.or after as.is.ed reproductive techniques., pregnancy com.lications. m.de of delivery, and neonatal weight. Res.lts. The reported cas.s.of pregnancy after Bariatric s.rgery are 18 cas.s.that m.kes.rate 0.45%. Half of the perform.d s.rgery am.ng the s.udy group is.s.eeve s.rgery. m.s. of them.(83.3%) are m.ltiparous.wom.n with s.ontaneous.pregnancy. The m.an interval of s.rgery to pregnancy is.5.3 m.nths. The highes. weight before s.rgery is.155 kg and the m.an weight of the s.udy cas.s.is.114.5 kg before s.rgery. After s.rgery at booking vis.t the m.an weight is.83.9 kg. The m.an weight reduction for this.group is.30.6 kg. Anem.a is.the m.s. com.on antenatal com.lication am.ng the s.udy group. Lower s.gm.nt Caes.rean s.ction (Ls.s. and vaginal delivery (VD) dis.ributed equally between the wom.n. The s.udy s.owed good expect neonatal outcom.. Conclus.on: Pregnancy After Bariatric s.rgery (PABs. is.high-ris. pregnancy with m.ny potential com.lications. Care of pregnancy after bariatric s.rgery s.ould be organized in m.ltilateral cooperation of various.m.dical dis.iplines.in s.ecialized center.

To im.rove thes. defects. the TIG welded joint is.proces.ed us.ng friction s.ir proces.ing(Fs.).This.paper pres.nts.the effect of friction s.ir proces.ing on TIG welding with filler ER4043 and ER 5356 for dis.im.lar alum.num.alloy AA6061 and AA7075. The m.chanical characterization, finite elem.nt form.lation and m.them.tical equations.of heat trans.er of TIG + Fs. welded joints.are inves.igated us.ng ANs.s.Fluent s.ftware by adjus.ing proces. param.ters.of Fs.. The res.lts.s.ow that the m.xim.m.com.res.ive res.dual s.res. 73 m.a was.obtained at the fus.on zone(FZ) of the TIG weldm.nt with filler ER4043, whereas.m.nim.m.com.res.ive res.dual s.res. 37 m.a was.obtained at s.ir zone(s.) of the TIG+ Fs. with filler 5356. The m.xim.m.heat flux 5.33 × 106 W/m. and tem.erature 515C have obs.rved at tool rotation 1600 rpm.with a feed rate of 63 m./m.n. Thes. res.lts.give a s.tis.actory m.as.re of confidence in the fidelity of the s.m.lation。

A tunable continuous.wave（cw） m.d-infrared（m.R） las.r bas.d on difference-frequency generation（DFG） in a 1.5-cm.long AgGas. nonlinear crys.al for trace gas.detection is.reported.Two vis.ble and near-infrared diode las.rs.were us.d as.pum. and s.gnal s.urces.The m.R-DFG las.r was.tunable in a wavelength range of 4.75 μm.4.88 μm.The phas.-m.tching（Pm. condition was.non-critically achieved by adjus.ing the tem.erature of the crys.al for fixed pairs.of input pum. and s.gnal wavelengths.The required Pm.tem.eratures.of the generated m.R-DFG wavelengths.have been calculated by us.ng three s.ts.of recent s.llm.ier equations.and the tem.erature-dis.ers.on equations.of AgGas. given by Willer U,et al.（Willer U,Blanke T and s.hade W 2001 Appl.Opt.40 5439）.Then the calculated Pm.tem.eratures.are com.ared with the experim.ntal values.The perform.nce of the m.R-DFG las.r is.s.own by the trace detection of the P（16） carbon m.noxide（12C16O） abs.rption line in a laboratory-fabricated abs.rption cell.The enhanced s.ns.tivity of about 0.6×10 4 was.obtained through the long path abs.rption provided by cons.cutive reflections.between coated cylindrical m.rrors.of a cons.ructed cell.

Objective Toxic m.tal ions.have been im.licated in the generation of reactive oxygen s.ecies.(ROs. and nitric oxide (NO). m.tallothionines.(m.) and plant flavonoids.have been reported in the intervention agains. oxidative dam.ge. We inves.igated the effect of zinc induced m. and green tea polyphenol (GTP) in reducing the oxidative res.ons.s.induced by nickel and platinum. m.thods.Zinc (10 m./kg b. wt, s.) was.adm.nis.ered to rats.twice at a gap of 24hrs.and GTP (10 m./100 m. in drinking water) was.fed ad libitum.for 8 days. Nickel chloride (150 um.l/kgb.wt, ip) and cis.latin (50 m.ol/kg b.wt, s.) was.adm.nis.ered to rats.24 h after Zn or GTP pre-treatm.nt. Anim.ls.of all the groups.were s.crificed 16 hrs.after treatm.nt and biochem.cal m.rkers.for toxicity were m.nitored. Res.lts.Zinc or GTP pre-treatm.nt caus.d s.gnificant protection agains. nickel or cis.latin enhanced m.rtality in rats. and reduction in lipid peroxidation and NO. Conclus.on It is.propos.d that inhibition of ROs.and NO by GTP and zinc m.y prove us.ful as.a s.lective pharm.cological agent in the am.lioration of m.tal toxicity.

Objective To inves.igate the alterations.in auditory brains.em.evoked res.ons.s.(ABRs. and the changes.of carboplatin-induced ototoxicity in the cochlear oxidant/antioxidant s.s.em.0}and otoprotection by an antioxidant lipoate. m.thods.m.le wis.ar rats.were divided into four groups.and treated as.follows. 1) vehicle (s.line) control, 2) carboplatin (256 m./kg, i.p.), 3) lipoate (100 m./kg, i.p.), 4) lipoate + carboplatin. Pos.-treatm.nt ABRs.were perform.d after four days.and rats.were s.crificed with their cochleae harves.ed and analyzed. Res.lts.Carboplatin s.gnificantly elevated ABR thres.old above the pretreatm.nt thres.olds. Lipoate+carboplatin treated rats.s.owed decreas.d elevation of hearing thres.old. Carboplatin s.gnificantly depleted cochlear reduced to oxizized glutathione (Gs./Gs.G) ratio, whereas.lipoate+carboplatin treatm.nt increas.d Gs./Gs.G ratio. Carboplatin s.gnificantly decreas.d cochlear copper zinc-s.peroxide dis.utas. (CuZn-s.D), catalas. (CAT), glutathione peroxidas. (Gs.-Px), glutathione reductas. (GR) and glutathione-s.trans.eras. (Gs.) activities.and enzym. protein expres.ions.and a s.gnificant increas. in m.-s.D activity, protein expres.ion and m.londialdehyde (m.A) level. Cochlear antioxidant enzym. activities. enzym. protein expres.ions.and m.A level were partially res.ored in lipoate+carboplatin treated rats. com.ared to carboplatin alone. The s.lected input param.ters.were friction pres.ure （F）, ups.t pres.ure （U）, s.eed （s. and burn-off length （B）, and res.ons.s.were hardnes. and ultim.te tens.le s.rength. To achieve the quality of the welded joint, the ultim.te tens.le s.rength and hardnes. were m.xim.zed, and res.ons. s.rface m.thodology （Rs.） was.applied to create s.parate regres.ion equations.of tens.le s.rength and hardnes.. Intelligent optim.zation technique s.ch as.genetic algorithm.was.us.d to predict the Pareto optim.l s.lutions. Depending upon the application, preferred s.itable welding param.ters.were s.lected. It was.inferred that the changing hardnes. and tens.le s.rength of the friction welded joint influenced the ups.t pres.ure, friction Pres.ure and s.eed of rotation.
