The objective of this work was to enhance the product’s quality by concentrating on the machine’s optimized *** order to increase the machine’s reliability,the basis of reliability-centered maintenance approach was *** purpose was to establish a planned preventive maintenance strategy to identify the machine’s critical components having a noteworthy effect on the product’s *** critical components were prioritized using failure mode and effect analysis(FMEA).The goal of the study was to decrease the ppm time interval for a CNC machine by simulating the projected preventive maintenance time *** this purpose,the simulation software ProModel 7.5 was implemented for the current preventive maintenance procedure to choose the best ppm time interval which contributed better *** dissimilar optimization approaches were applied,however,the first approach yielded the prominent total system cost and the shorter ppm *** results of the study revealed that there was an increase of USD 1878 as a result of an increase in total system cost from USD 78,365 to USD 80,*** maintenance costs were reduced from USD 4196 to USD 2248(46%).The costs associated with good parts increased from USD 8259 to USD 8294(0.4%)and the costs associated with defective parts reduced from USD 171 to USD 3(98.25%),respectively.

A novel method for the cation analysis was investigated. The analysis is based on the sparking of the salts of metals in a microwave oven after placing in a graphite cell. The graphite cell absorbs microwaves and produces high temperature which converts the salt into light emitting species. The colour of light was found to dependent on the nature of cation, however, the intensity of the emitted light was found to be depending upon the form and shape of the graphite assembly in addition to the concentration of the salt. This communication presents explanation for all these observations and for the systematic and quantitative analysis using microwave spark emission technique.

Objective: The present study explored the effects of the combined herbal therapy consisting of curcumin(CUR) and Fructus Ligustri Lucidi(FLL) on aspects of bone ***: Prior to analyzing the ability of this novel combined herbal therapy to promote aspects of bone regeneration, its cytotoxicity was determined using MC3 T3-E1 cells(pre-osteoblast model). Cell proliferation was evaluated using phase-contrast microscopy and cell differentiation was estimated using alkaline phosphatase activity. The effect of the combined herbal therapy(CUR + FLL) was also assessed in terms of mineralization in the extracellular matrix(ECM) of cultured cells. Further, to explore the molecular mechanisms of bone formation, time-dependent expression of bone-regulating protein biomarkers was also ***: Combined herbal therapy(CUR + FLL) significantly upregulated the viability, proliferation and differentiation of MC3 T3-E1 cells compared to the monotherapy of CUR or FLL. The magnitude of ECM mineralization(calcium deposition) was also higher in MC3 T3-E1 cells treated with combined *** time-dependent expression of bone-forming protein biomarkers revealed that the tendency of expression of these bone-regulating proteins was remarkably higher in cells treated with combined ***: The co-administration of CUR and FLL had superior promotion of elements of bone regeneration in cultured cells, thus could be a promising alternative herbal therapy for the management of bone erosive disorders such as osteoporosis.

Medicinal plants of Moraceae family have been well-recognized traditionally due to their versatile applications in various fields including agriculture, cosmetic and food as well as in pharmaceutical industries. Their biomedical and medicinal importance is reflected from their broad range of pharmacological activities for treatment of various inflammatory conditions, cancer, infectious diseases, and gastrointestinal disorders. The present review was aimed to summarize and critically discuss the biomedical implications of Morus species, their bioactive compounds, and phytochemicals. Bioactivity guided fractionation of these medicinal plants revealed that different types of bioactive phytochemicals and secondary metabolites such as steroids, saponins, alkaloids, glycosides and phenolic compounds including terpenoids, flavonoids, anthocyanins and tannins were present. The critical analysis of the literature revealed that the aqueous, methanolic, and ethanolic extracts of Morus species and their bioactive compounds exhibit remarkable anti-oxidative,anti-diabetic, anti-stress, nephroprotective, antimicrobial, anti-mutagenic, anticancer,anxiolytic, hepatoprotective, anthelmintic, antimicrobial, immune-modulatory and cholesterol lowering effects. Based on the literature review and bioactivity guided investigation of Morus species and their phytomedicinal effects, we anticipate that these herbal products hold excellent potential for future research.

To tackle the energy crisis and achieve more sustainable development,hydrogen as a clean and renewable energy resource has attracted great *** for cheap but efficient catalysts for hydrogen production from water splitting is urgently *** this report,bimetallic Fe-Mo sulfide/carbon nanocomposites that derived from a polyoxometalate phosphomolybdic acid encapsulated metal-organic framework MIL-100(PMA@MIL-100)have been generated and their applications in electrocatalytic hydrogen generation were *** PMA@MIL-100 precursor is formed via a simple one-pot hydrothermal synthesis method and the bimetallic Fe-Mo sulfide/carbon nanocomposites were obtained by chemical vapor sulfurization of PMA@MIL-100 at high *** nanocomposite samples were fully characterized by a series of techniques including X-ray diffraction,Fourier-transform infrared analysis,thermogravimetric analysis,N2 gas sorption,scanning electron microscopy,transmission electron microscopy,X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy,and were further investigated as electrocatalysts for hydrogen production from water *** hydrogen production activity of the best performed bimetallic Fe-Mo sulfide/carbon nanocomposite exhibits an overpotential of-0.321 V at 10 m A cm^(-2)and a Tafel slope of 62 m V dec^(-1)with a 53%reduction in overpotential compared to Mo-free counterpart *** dramatic improvement in catalytic performance of the Fe-Mo sulfide/carbon composite is attributed to the homogeneous distribution of the nanosized iron sulfide,MoS_(2)particles,and the formation of Fe-Mo-S phases in the S-doped porous carbon *** work has demonstrated a potential approach to fabricate complex heterogeneous catalytic materials for different applications.

Efficient hepatoprotective activity of cranberry extract against CCl_4-induced hepatotoxicity in Wistar albino rat model: Down-regulation of liver enzymes and strong antioxidant activity

ObjectiveTo investigate the hepatoprotective efficacy of cranberry extract (CBE) against carbon tetrachloride (CCl4)-induced hepatic injury using in-vivo animal *** hepatoprotective efficacy of CBE (200 and 400 mg/kg) was investigated against CCl4 (4 mL/kg)-induced hepatotoxicity, elevated liver enzymes [ALT (alanine aminotransferase), AST (aspartate aminotransferase), and alkaline phosphatase (ALP)], and total protein (TP) contents in the serum. Moreover, CBE-aided antioxidant defense against hepatotoxic insult of CCl4 was measured by evaluating a number of anti-oxidative biomarkers including reduced glutathione (GSH), superoxide dismutase (SOD), catalase (CAT), and malondialdehyde (MDA) in the serum by using spectrophotometric *** showed that the exposure of experimental animals to CCl4 did induce significant hepatotoxicity compared to the non-induced (untreated) group. The oral administration of CBE demonstrated a significant dose-dependent alleviation in the liver enzymes (AST, ALT, and ALP), increased antioxidant defense (GSH, SOD, and CAT), and reduced MDA levels in the serum of treated animals compared to the animals without treatment. The resulting data showed that the administration of CBE decreased the serum levels of ALT, AST, and ALP compared to the CCl4-induced *** resulting data evidenced that CBE exhibits promising hepatoprotective potential against the chemical induced hepatotoxicity, maintains homeostasis in liver enzymes, and can provide significant antioxidant defense against free radicals-induced oxidative stress.

Eurycoma longifolia Jack(***) is a well-recognized traditional herbal medicine that offers a wide dynamic range of biomedical applications including anti-osteoporotic, anticancer, anti-proliferative, anti-malarial, antimicrobial, antioxidant, aphrodisiac, antiinflammatory, anxiolytic, anti-diabetic, anti-rheumatism and anti-ulcer *** review aims to overview the pharmacokinetic and a pharmacodynamic algorithm of *** and its bioactive *** of pharmacokinetic profile revealed that *** exhibit higher bioavailability, high volume of distribution, slow elimination rate, and does not show inhibitory effects on cytochrome P450 *** has been used, alone or in combination with other pharmacological agents, in the form of crude extracts, standard extracts, or decoctions of different plant parts(i.e., herbs, shrubs, stem, leaves, and roots) for the treatment of various ailments in animals and *** various bioactive constituents, eurycomanone has been found to be the most remarkable, super-stable, versatile, and most potent phytochemical(isolated or extracted from root extracts) against various types of animals and human *** on its well-established pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic profiles, we suggested that *** can be a well-accepted complementary and alternative medicine for the treatment of different types of human ailments.

TiAlNb based intermetallic alloys,a potential competitor for next-generation super alloys,are susceptible to high-temperature embrittlement due to nucleation of a metastable single B2 phase in the fusion zone(FZ)during laser beam welding(LBW).In this study,a high entropy alloy(HEA),Ti-Hf-Zr-Cu-Ni,was self-developed and introduced as an interlayer into laser beam welded joint(LBWJ)of Ti-22 Al-27 Nb to analyze its impact on the evolution of microstructure in the weld zone(WZ)and subsequently on joint *** examination was carried out through electron probe micro analysis(EPMA),electron backscattered diffraction(EBSD)analysis,high-resolution scanning transmission electron microscopy(HRSTEM)comprising bright field(BF),selective area electron diffraction(SAED)and high angle annular dark-field(HAADF)*** of the HEA into FZ of LBWJ triggered heterogenous nucleation during solidification,resultantly,fine-grained B2 with a greater proportion of high angle grain boundaries(HAGBs)was *** of Ti-22 Al-27 Nb LBWJ,prepared with an interlayer of HEA,was composed of planar,cellular,columnar and equiaxed dendritic grains;a solidification mode which was different from that observed in LBWJ prepared without adulteration of the *** impact of heterogenous nucleation during epitaxial solidification on mechanical properties was established through micro vickers hardness mapping and tensile test,conducted at room *** average hardness,343.5 HV,in the FZ of LBWJ prepared with an interlayer of HEA,was compatible with that of base material(BM),345 *** ultimate tensile strength(UTS),1062 MPa,and percentage elongation,11.2%,of the HEA tempered LBWJ were found in close approximation with that of BM,1060 MPa and 13.4%,respectively.A ductile mode of failure was observed during tensile test of the Ti-Hf-Zr-Cu-Ni supplemented LBWJ of Ti-22 Al-27 Nb,while quasi-cleavage mode of fracture was apparent in the joint of Ti-22 Al-27 Nb welded with

Multi-functionalized and co-doped TiO_(2)/C nanocomposites were derived from the pyrolysis of Ti-MOFs at 800℃under different gaseous atmospheres and their photocatalytic performance were *** gaseous atmosphere during pyrolysis plays a critical role in determining the structural,textural,optical and physicochemical properties of the derived TiO_(2)/C composites due to the synergistic effect of nitrogen-containing species,carboxylate and sulfur functionalized porous carbon as well as N/S co-doped TiO_(2)*** the Ti-MOFs derived TiO_(2)/C composites exclusively possess homogeneously distributed TiO_(2)nanoparticles in a functionalized disc-like porous carbon matrix and demonstrate much enhanced adsorption and photodegradation performance than commercial TiO_(2)under the same *** adsorption of methylene blue(MB)in dark on these TiO_(2)/C composites are dominated with pseudo second-order kinetic model and the high adsorption capacity of MB in dark on composite TiO_(2)/C derived from MIL-125(Ti)in argon is due to its high surface area with predominant mesoporous carbon matrix in the *** composite N-O-TiO_(2)/C derived from NH2-MIL-125(Ti)in water vapor exhibited the highest photodegradation activity with 99.7%MB removal in 3 h under visible light due to the optimal anatase/rutile phasejunction,together with the formation of photoactive oxygen-rich N-O like interstitial/intraband states above the valence band of TiO_(2),as well as the presence of N-containing species and-OH/-COOH multi-functional groups with superhydrophilic nature of the *** simple one-step and easily modifiable approach can be further employed to modulate homogeneously dispersed multi-functionalized and co-doped metal oxide/carbon nanocomposites for various environment and energy-related applications.
