<i>In Vitro</i>Characterisation of Pharmacological Effect of Prostacyclin Analogues in Comparison to Phosphodiesterase Inhibitors on Small Human Pulmonary Vessels

Background and Aim of Study: The phosphodiesterase inhibitors (Sildenafil and Milrinone), Nitric Oxide donor Sodium Nitroprusside (SNP) and prostacyclin analogs are commonly used pulmonary vasodilators to treat pulmonary hypertension. In the past few years, we have used human pulmonary artery rings in vitro to evaluate pulmonary vascular resistance. The main objective of the current study is to document the pharmacological impact of clinically used prostacyclin analogs on the human pulmonary system in parallel with phosphodiesterase inhibitors and SNP. Methods: The study used human pulmonary artery rings of internal diameter of 2 - 4 mm and length of 2 mm. These were extracted from patients with lung resections. These rings were then mounted on a multiwire myograph, and changes in isometric tension were noted. Then, concentration response curves were constructed to Sildenafil (Sd), Milrinone (Mil), Sodium Nitroprusside (SNP), Epoprostenol (Ep), Iloprost (Ip) and Treprostinil (Tp). Results: 52 pulmonary artery rings were used in these experiments. Sildenafil, Milrinone, SNP, Epoprostenol, Iloprost and Treprostinil caused a concentration-dependent vasodilation in small human pulmonary arteries (pEC50: 5.97 ± 0.22, 5.99 ± 0.12, 7.64 ± 0.08, 7.53 ± 0.14, 8.84 ± 0.15 and 9.48 ± 0.13 respectively, n = 8 to 12). The efficacy for the same was in the order: Tp = Ip > Ep > Mil > SNP > Sd. The potency varied in the order: Tp > Ip > SNP > Ep > Mil > Sd. Conclusion: This research showed the efficacy as well as the potency of SNP and phosphodiesterase inhibitors and prostacyclin analogs on the human pulmonary vasculature. Treprostinil and Iloprost exhibited maximum relaxation. However, Sildenafil and SNP showed lesser impact. These effects need to be considered for clinical studies for enhanced patient outcomes.

In this research work,sol-gel technique was employed to prepare the strontium based spinel ferrite nanoparticles（SrFe2O4） with different ratios of terbium（Tb）.Different characterization techniques were used to investigate the structural,morphological,dielectric and magnetic properties of the prepared samples.X-ray diffraction（XRD） result suggests that face-centered cube spinel nanocrystalline structure is *** size of the SrFe2O4decreases with rising of Tb *** morphology,shape and size of the SrFe2O4were examined by scanning electron microscopy（SEM） analysis and results reveal inhomogeneous distributions of the nanostructures with high *** electrical resistivity of the SrFe2O4increases with rising of Tb ratio,which is confirmed from the cyclic *** is observed that dielectric constant of all the samples decreases with the increasing frequency *** is determined that the dielectric constants of the spinel ferrites are frequency dependent and decrease with increasing the frequency of applied electric *** magnetic behavior of SrFe2O4with different ratios of Tb was studied and it is found that the saturation magnetization values of samples decrease with increase in the substitution of Tb3+at octahedral sites for Fe3+.This decrease in the values of Msis also attributed to spin at surface of nanoparticles.

Constructing S-scheme 2D/0D g-C_(3)N_(4)/TiO_(2) NPs/MPs heterojunction with 2D-Ti3AlC2 MAX cocatalyst for photocatalytic CO_(2) reduction to CO/CH_(4) in fixed-bed and monolith photoreactors

Exfoliated 2D MAX Ti_(3) AlC_(2) conductive cocatalyst anchored with g-C_(3)N_(4)/TiO_(2) to construct 2D/0D/2D het-erojunction has been explored for enhanced CO_(2) photoreduction in a fixed-bed and monolith *** TiO_(2) particle sizes(NPs and MPs)were systematically investigated to determine effective metal-support interaction with faster charge carrier separation among the composite *** TiO_(2) NPs were anchored with 2D Ti_(3) AlC_(2) MAX structure,10.44 folds higher CH_(4) production was observed com-pared to anchoring TiO_(2) *** CH_(4) yield rate of 2103.5μmol g^(−1) h^(−1) achieved at selectivity 96.59%using ternary g-C_(3)N_(4)/TiO_(2)/Ti_(3) AlC_(2)2D/0D/2D composite which is 2.73 and 7.45 folds higher than using binary g-C_(3)N_(4)/Ti_(3) AlC_(2) MAX and TiO_(2) NPs/Ti_(3)AlC_(2) samples,respectively.A step-scheme(S-scheme)photocatalytic mechanism operates in this composite,suppressed the recombination of useful electron and holes and provides higher reduction potential for efficient CO_(2) conversion to CO and CH_(4).More im-portantly,when light intensity was increased by 5 folds,CH_(4) production rate was increased by 3.59 folds under visible *** performance of composite catalyst was further investigated in a fixed-bed and monolith photoreactor and found monolithic support increased CO production by 2.64 folds,whereas,53.99 times lower CH_(4) production was *** lower photocatalytic activity in a monolith photore-actor was due to lower visible light penetration into the ***,2D MAX Ti_(3) AlC_(2) composite catalyst can be constructed for selective photocatalytic CO_(2) methanation under visible light in a fixed-bed photoreactor.

Medical Internet of Things(MIoTs)is a collection of small and energyefficient wireless sensor devices that monitor the patient’s *** healthcare networks transmit continuous data monitoring for the patients to survive them *** are many improvements in MIoTs,but still,there are critical issues that might affect the Quality of Service(QoS)of a *** handling is one of the critical factors that directly affect the QoS of the *** congestion in MIoT can cause more energy consumption,delay,and important data *** a patient has an emergency,then the life-critical signals must transmit with minimum *** emergencies,the MIoTs have to monitor the patients continuously and transmit data(e.g.,ECG,BP,heart rate,etc.)with minimum ***,there is an efficient technique required that can transmit emergency data of high-risk patients to the medical staff on time with maximum *** main objective of this research is to monitor and transmit the patient’s real-time data efficiently and to prioritize the emergency *** this paper,Emergency Prioritized and Congestion Handling Protocol for Medical IoTs(EPCP_MIoT)is proposed that efficiently monitors the patients and overcome the congestion by enabling different monitoring *** the emergency data transmissions are prioritized and transmit at SIFS *** proposed technique is implemented and compared with the previous technique,the comparison results show that the proposed technique outperforms the previous techniques in terms of network throughput,end to end delay,energy consumption,and packet loss ratio.

Liquid Phase Bonding of 316L Stainless Steel to AZ31 Magnesium Alloy

Drought is one of the major abiotic threat to rice production in the context of climate *** Basmati is an elite,fine grain basmati rice variety grown in Punjab,*** to drought sensitive in nature,its yield has been facing an alarming situation in production because of gradual decrease in irrigated water for a couple of *** reported novel QTLs for drought tolerance were selected for incorporation into Super Basmati by employing marker assisted selection ***55419-04 with novel QTLs was used as a donor *** selection was performed by applying PCR based QTL linked SSR markers followed by recombinant selection by using 2-4 flanking *** selection was exercised by using polymorphic SSR markers for maximum genome recovery of the Super *** individuals homozygous at the target QTLs and with maximum background of Super Basmati at the rest of the non-target genome was selected for evaluation of drought *** drought stress conditions,the yields of all introgressed lines(ILs)were 44.2%-125.7%higher than recurrent *** superior ILs that are drought tolerant and very similar to Super Basmati in terms of agronomic and grain quality traits are marked for release as drought-tolerant varieties in arid regions or for use in breeding programs of high grain quality and drought-tolerant parents.
