Carbon-supported nanocomposites are attracting particular attention as high-performance,low-cost electrocatalysts for electrochemical water *** are mostly prepared by pyrolysis and hydrothermal procedures that are time-consuming(from hours to days)and typically difficult to produce a nonequilibrium ***,for the first time ever,we exploit magnetic induction heating-quenching for ultrafast production of carbon-FeNi spinel oxide nanocomposites(within seconds),which exhibit an unprecedentedly high performance towards oxygen evolution reaction(OER),with an ultralow overpotential of only+260 mV to reach the high current density of 100 mA cm^(-2).Experimental and theoretical studies show that the rapid heating and quenching process(ca.10^(3)K s^(-1))impedes the Ni and Fe phase segregation and produces a Cl-rich surface,both contributing to the remarkable catalytic *** from this study highlight the unique advantage of ultrafast heating/quenching in the structural engineering of functional nanocomposites to achieve high electrocatalytic performance towards important electrochemical reactions.

BACKGROUND Metabolic-associated fatty liver disease(MAFLD)is a liver condition marked by excessive fat buildup in the absence of heavy alcohol *** is primarily linked with metabolic issues like insulin resistance,obesity,and abnormal lipid levels,and is often observed with other conditions such as type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular ***,whether the subtypes of MAFLD based on the metabolic disorder differentially impact liver fibrosis is not well explicated,especially in the Asian *** To compare the severity of liver fibrosis among different MAFLD *** A total of 322 adult patients of either gender with fatty liver on ultrasound were enrolled between January to December *** was defined as per the Asian Pacific Association for the Study of the Liver ***-4 index(Fib-4)and nonalcoholic fatty liver disease fibrosis score(NFS)were employed to evaluate liver *** The mean age was 44.84±11 ***-two percent of the patients were *** hundred and seventy-three patients were classified as having MAFLD,of which 110(40.3%)carried a single,129(47.3%)had two,and 34(12.5%)had all three metabolic *** cumulative number of metabolic conditions was related to elevated body mass index,triglyceride(TG)levels,and glycated hemoglobin,lower high-density lipoprotein(HDL)levels,higher liver inflammation(by aspartate aminotransferase andγ-glutamyl transferase),and higher likelihood of fibrosis(by NFS and Fib-4 scores)(P<0.05 for all).The proportion of advanced fibrosis also increased with an increase in the number of metabolic conditions(4.1%,25.5%,35.6%,and 44.1%by NFS and 6.1%,10.9%,17%,and 26.5%by Fib-4 for no MAFLD and MAFLD with 1,2,and 3 conditions,respectively).Among MAFLD patients,those with diabetes alone were the eldest and had the highest mean value of NFS score and Fib-4 score(P<0.05),while MAFLD patients diagnosed with lean metabolic dysfunction exhibited the highest levels of TG and a

Biomass estimation using allometric models is a nondestructive and popular *** of an allometric model can influence the accuracy of biomass *** Forest Department initiated a nationwide forest inventory to assess biomass and carbon stocks in trees and *** relationship between carbon storage and sequestration in a forest has implications for climate change mitigation in terms of the carbon sink in *** part of the national forest inventory,we aimed to derive multi-species biomass models for the hill zone of Bangladesh and to determine the carbon concentration in tree components(leaves,branches,bark and stem).In total,175 trees of 14 species were sampled and a semi-destructive method was used to develop a biomass model,which included development of smaller branch(base dia<7 cm)biomass allometry and volume estimation of bigger branches and *** best model of leaf,branches,and bark showed lower values for adjusted R2(0.3152-0.8043)and model efficiency(0.436-0.643),hence these models were not recommended to estimate *** best fit model of stem and total aboveground biomass(TAGB)showed higher model efficiency 0.948 and 0.837,respectively,and this model was recommended for estimation of tree biomass for the hill zone of *** best fit allometric biomass model for stem was Ln(Stem)=-10.7248+1.6094*Ln(D)+1.323*Ln(H)+1.1469*Ln(W);the best fit model for TAGB was Ln(TAGB)=-6.6937+0.809*Ln(D^2*H*W),where DBH=Diameter at Breast Height,H=Total Height,W=Wood *** two most frequently used pan-tropical biomass models showed lower model efficiency(0.667 to 0.697)compared to our derived TAGB *** best fit TAGB model proved applicable for accurate estimation of TAGB for the hill zone of *** concentration varied significantly(p<0.05)by species and tree *** concentration(48-49%)of carbon was recorded in the tree stem.

直升机在自然灾害、紧急救援和军事侦察等场景都有十分显著的应用,在这些场景下大多数其他系统通常都已经失效,此外,直升机也可以比较容易提供运输和支援作用。在自然灾害和敌军破坏等情况下通信网络可能已经失效,若由于这些破坏而失去通信能力,直升机也就失去了其利用价值。而直升机卫星通信可以稳定提供有效可靠的高速通信,因此直升机的重要利用价值和其对通信的需求推动了人们对直升机卫星通信的研究。直升机卫星通信研究的核心论文内容主要包括直升机旋翼遮挡模型、采用时分复用的沃什-哈达玛编码。本文首先研究了直升机卫星通信信道的属性和特点,然后基于一些成熟的信道模型提出了带旋翼遮挡的衰减信道模型。在MATLAB仿真中都采用了这个信道模型,并且也使用了针对其他问题的技术。致力于提高直升机卫星通信性能,本文首先研究了采用码分复用的沃什-哈达玛变换的系统。然后该系统采用精确的双重时间分集来减少码间干扰并改善了系统。本文中也这些系统模型进行了仿真和分析。更进一步地,前面提到的系统模型在其接收端通过分集合并得到改进和提升。分集合并方案已经被证明为是解决旋翼遮挡问题的最优方案并且提升了其传输速率。本文也对包括双重时间分集合并的通信系统进行了仿真、分析和对比。所提出系统的误比特率在低信噪比情况下得到显著地降低,并且性能提高了1dB。

Microbial prospecting of hydrocarbons is based on the detection of anomalous population of hydrocarbon oxidizing bacteria in the surface soils, indicates the presence of subsurface oil and gas accumulation. The technique is based on the seepage of light hydrocarbon gases such as C1-C4 from the oil and gas pools to the shallow surface that provide the suitable conditions for the development of highly specialized bacterial population. These bacteria utilize hydrocarbon gases as their only food source and are found enriched in the near surface soils above the hydrocarbon bearing structures. The methodology involves the collection of soil samples from the survey area, packing, preservation and storage of samples in pre-sterilized sample bags trader aseptic and cold conditions till analysis and isolation and enumeration of hydrocarbon utilizing bacteria such as methane, ethane, propane, and butane oxidizers. The contour maps for the population density of hydrocarbon oxidizing bacteria are drawn and the data can be integrated with geological, geochemical, geophysical methods to evaluate the hydrocarbon prospect of an area and to prioritize the drilling locations thereby reducing the drilling risks and achieve higher success in petroleum exploration. Microbial Prospecting for Oil and Gas （MPOG） method success rate has been reported to be 90%. The paper presents details of microbial prospecting for oil and gas studies, excellent methodology, future development trends, scope, results of study area, case studies and advantages.

This study finds out seasonal and monthly variations in Aerosol Optical Depth(AOD)over eastern and western routes of China Pakistan Economic Corridor(CPEC)and the relationship between AOD and meteorological parameters(i.e.,temperature,rainfall and wind speed).The Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer(MODIS)and Multi-angle Imaging Spectroradiometer(MISR)data was used from the terra satellite for the period of *** study aims to overtake the conventional view of the purpose of using the satellite *** study takes on to the concept that validated satellite data sets rather should be used for the analysis instead of just validation specifically for our study ***,after comparing MODIS AOD with MISR AOD,only MISR AOD dataset is used for further *** results show a decreasing trend of AOD in summer season,a positive relationship between temperature and AOD during winter and spring seasons whereas a positive relationship between wind speed and AOD in winter and spring seasons over eastern and western *** analysis of MODIS AOD and MISR AOD depicts May-Aug as the peak period of aerosol concentration over central *** inter-annual analysis shows the aerosol trend remained higher during summer season however rainfall shows the washout *** route has higher standard deviation and larger values for aerosol prevalence as compared to western *** trajectory analysis using the HYSPLIT model suggests the bias of air mass trajectory caused deviation in the aerosol trend in the year 2014.

Scattering process always reveal valuable information. For example scattering of alpha particle in Rutherford＇s well known experiment revealed the existence of nucleus. Physicists have been studying collision process both experimentally as well as theoretically to know much about particle Physics. It is believed that the quark-quark scattering results are same as those of lepton-lepton systems and they are mass independent. The aim of this work was to calculate amplitude cross section for heavy quarks. Our results reveal a mass dependence of these results for heavy quarks.

Background:Sucking insect pests cause severe damage to cotton crop *** development of insect resistant cotton cultivars is one of the most effective measures in curtailing the yield *** the role of morphological and biochemical host plant resista nee(HPR)traits in plant defense,12 cotton genotypes/varieties were evaluated for leaf area,leaf glanding,total soluble sugars,total soluble proteins,total phenolics,tannin and total flavonoids against fluctuating populations of whitefly,thrips and jassid under field ***:The population of these insects fluctuated during the growing seas on and remained above threshold level(whitefly>5,thrips>(8-10)f or jassid>1 per leaf)during late June and early *** and negative association of whitefly(r=-0.825)and jassid(r=-0.929)with seed cotton yield was *** population of insects were the highest in Glandless-1 followed by NIA-82 and ***-Kiran followed by NI AB-878 and Sadori were the most resistant,with the mean population of 1.41,1.60,1.66(whitefly);2.24,232,2.53(thrips)and 037,0.31,036(jassid),*** resistant variety NIAB-Kiran showed less soluble sugars(8.54 mg.g^(-1)),soluble proteins(27.11 mg.g^(-1))and more phenolic(36.56 mg.g^(-1))and flavonoids(13.10mg.g^(-1))as compared with the susceptible check ***,all insect populations were positively correlated with total soluble sugars and *** populations exhibited negative response to leaf gossypol glands,total phenolics,tannins and *** thrips and jassid populations had a significant and negative correlation with these four biochemical HPR ***:The ide ntified resistant resources and HPR traits can be deployed against sucking in sect pests'complex in future breeding programs of developing insect resistant cotton varieties.

本文研究媒体关注和企业社会责任（CSR）的关系。媒体关注不断变化，如果媒体关注水平较高，那么将有可能通过监管机制提升公司的企业社会责任。正是基于这个机制，本文探讨媒体如何影响企业的社会责任。我们通过中国股市的数据进行实证检验，本文借助于横截面的媒体关注主句和公司的企业社会责任活动数据（仅在2007年存在完善企业社会责任数据），从学术的角度进一步阐释并探索二者关系：即媒体对于CSR的报道和披露的变化，是否导致了公司披露更多CSR信息或者导致公司提升CSR活动。我们发现：媒体关注在一定程度上影响了企业社会责任。但是进一步的研究发现，在控制了足够的变量之后，这一效应不再显著。我们这一发现具有明显的政策含义，并可能会引起监管当局和政府部门的极大兴趣。
