A novel carbon cycle process assisted by Ni/La_(2)O_(3) catalyst for enhanced thermochemical CO_(2) splitting

Thermochemical two-step CO_(2) splitting is a potential approach that fixes the sustainable resource into transportable liquid ***,the harsh CO_(2) splitting conditions,the limited oxygen release kinetics and capacity of metal oxides block further promoted the CO yield and solar-to-fuel energy ***,we propose a different carbon cycle assisted by Ni/La_(2)O_(3) via coupling methane decomposition with thermochemical CO_(2) splitting,replacing conventional metal oxides *** performance was demonstrated with methane conversion reached around 94%with almost pure H_(2) ***,CO_(2) conversion of 98%and CO yield of 6.9 mmol g^(-1) derived from CO_(2) were achieved,with peak CO evolution rate(402 mL min^(-1) g^(-1))of orders of magnitude higher than that in metal oxide process and outstanding thermodynamic solar-to-fuel energy efficiency(55.5%vs.18.5%).This was relevant to the synergistic activation of La_(2)O_(3) and Ni for CO_(2) in carbon cycle,thus improving CO_(2) splitting reaction with carbon species.

BACKGrOUNd Whether regional lymphadenectomy(rL)should be routinely performed in patients with T1b gallbladder cancer(GBC)remains a subject of *** To investigate whether rL can improve the prognosis of patients with T1b *** We studied a multicenter cohort of patients with T1b GBC who underwent surgery between 2008 and 2016 at 24 hospitals in 13 provinces in *** logrank test and Cox proportional hazards model were used to compare the overall survival(OS)of patients who underwent cholecystectomy(Ch)+rL and those who underwent Ch *** investigate whether combined hepatectomy(Hep)improved OS in T1b patients,we studied patients who underwent Ch+rL to compare the OS of patients who underwent combined Hep and patients who did *** Of the 121 patients(aged 61.9±10.1 years),77(63.6%)underwent Ch+rL,and 44(36.4%)underwent Ch ***(9.1%)patients in the Ch+rL group had lymph node *** 5-year OS rate was significantly higher in the Ch+rL group than in the Ch group(76.3%vs 56.8%,P=0.036).Multivariate analysis showed that Ch+rL was significantly associated with improved OS(hazard ratio:0.51;95%confidence interval:0.26-0.99).Among the 77 patients who underwent Ch+rL,no survival improvement was found in patients who underwent combined Hep(5-year OS rate:79.5%for combined Hep and 76.1%for no Hep;P=0.50).CONCluSION T1b GBC patients who underwent Ch+rL had a better prognosis than those who underwent ***+Ch showed no improvement in prognosis in T1b GBC *** recommended by both the National Comprehensive Cancer Network and Chinese Medical Association guidelines,rL was only performed in 63.6%of T1b GBC *** Ch+rL should be advised in T1b GBC.

From a base material of conductive polymer(poly-(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene):poly(styrenesulfonate),PEdOT:PSS),a flexible and high-conductivity(as low as 45Ω/sq)transparent electrode was fabricated on polydimethylsiloxane elastomer by an acid treatment and transfer *** with the d-sorbitol-doped PEdOT:PSS electric glue,we successfully demonstrated a vacuum-free and ambient lamination fabrication process for semi-transparent perovskite solar cells using triple cation Cs0.05(MA0.17fa0.83)0.95Pb(I0.83Br0.17)*** this manufacturing-friendly lamination process,we fabricated semitransparent perovskite solar cell devices with power conversion efficiencies up to 16.4%and variable transparencies.

Benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) is highly prevalent among older men, impacting on their quality of life, sexual function, and genitourinary health, and has become an important global burden of disease. Transurethral plasmakinetic resection of prostate (TUPKP) is one of the foremost surgical procedures for the treatment of BPH. It has become well established in clinical practice with good efficacy and safety. In 2018, we issued the guideline “2018 Standard Edition”. However much new direct evidence has now emerged and this may change some of previous recommendations. The time is ripe to develop new evidence-based guidelines, so we formed a working group of clinical experts and methodologists. The steering group members posed 31 questions relevant to the management of TUPKP for BPH covering the following areas: questions relevant to the perioperative period (preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative) of TUPKP in the treatment of BPH, postoperative complications and the level of surgeons’ surgical skill. We searched the literature for direct evidence on the management of TUPKP for BPH, and assessed its certainty generated recommendations using the grade criteria by the European Association of Urology. recommendations were either strong or weak, or in the form of an ungraded consensus-based statement. Finally, we issued 36 statements. Among them, 23 carried strong recommendations, and 13 carried weak recommendations for the stated procedure. They covered questions relevant to the aforementioned three areas. The preoperative period for TUPKP in the treatment of BPH included indications and contraindications for TUPKP, precautions for preoperative preparation in patients with renal impairment and urinary tract infection due to urinary retention, and preoperative prophylactic use of antibiotics. Yeast artificial chromosomes(YACs) are important tools for sequencing,gene cloning,and transferring large quantities of genetic ***,the structure and activity of YAC chromatin,as well as the unintended impacts of introducing foreign dNA sequences on dNA-associated biochemical events,have not been widely ***,we showed that abundant genetic elements like TATA box and transcription factor-binding motifs occurred unintentionally in a previously reported datacarrying chromosome(d Chr).In addition,we used state-of-the-art sequencing technologies to comprehensively profile the genetic,epigenetic,transcriptional,and proteomic characteristics of the exogenous d *** found that the data-carrying dNA formed active chromatin with high chromatin accessibility and H3K4 tri-methylation *** d Chr also displayed highly pervasive transcriptional ability and transcribed hundreds of noncoding *** results demonstrated that exogenous artificial chromosomes formed chromatin structures and did not remain as naked or loose plasmids.A better understanding of the YAC chromatin nature will improve our ability to design better data-storage chromosomes.

Impact of Human Leukocyte Antigen Loci and Haplotypes on Intestinal Acute Graft-versus-host disease after Human Leukocyte Antigen-matched Sibling Peripheral Blood Stem Cell Transplantation

Background： Acute graft-versus-host disease （aGVHd） is a common and severe complication of allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation （allo-HSCT）. Some studies have found that the presence of certain specific human leukocyte antigen （HLA） loci could affect the occurrence of aGVHd. Meanwhile, the impact of HLA haplotypes on aGVHd has been rarely studied. This study aimed to investigate the effects of HLA loci and haplotypes on intestinal aGVHd. Methods： Totally, 345 consecutive patients undergoing first HLA-matched sibling peripheral blood stem cell transplantation （PBSCT） from February 2004 to June 2013 at Institute of Hematology and Blood diseases Hospital, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences and Peking Union Medical College, were enrolled in this study. HLA loci and haplotypes of recipients with frequency over 5% were searched and their effects on intestinal aGVHd were investigated. Other important factors including donor age, recipient age, donor-recipient sex combinations, and conditioning regimens were also evaluated using logistic regression. Pure upper gastrointestinal tract aGVHd without diarrhea was excluded because the histological proof was unavailable. The follow-up end-point was 6 months after HSCT. results： The cumulative incidence of intestinal aGVH d was 19.4%, with 18.0% of the patients classified as classic aGVH d and 1.4% as persistent, recurrent, or late aGVH d. Multivariate analysis showed that HLA-A31 locus （odds ratio [Or] 2.893, 95% confidence interval [CI] [1.054, 7.935], P = 0.039）, H LA B40-dr 15 （Or 3.133, 95% CI [1.250, 7.857], P = 0.015）, and HLA B46-dr9 haplotypes （Or 2,580, 95% CI l1.070, 6.220], P- 0.035）, fizmale donor for male recipient （Or 2.434, 95% （27 [1.319, 4.493], P = 0.004） were risk factors tbr intestinal aGVHd. Conclusion： The presence of certain HLA loci and haplotypes may influence the occurrence of intestinal aGVHd in PBSCT with HLA-identical sibling donors.

The creation of controlled-release urea (CrU) is a potent substitute for conventional fertilizers in order to preserve the availability of nitrogen (N) in soil,prevent environmental pollution,and move toward green *** main objectives of this study were to assess the impacts of CrU’s full application on maize production and to clarify the connection between the nutrient release pattern of CrU and maize nutrient *** order to learn more about the effects of CrU application on maize yields,N uptake,mineral N (N_(min)) dynamics,N balance in soil-crop systems,and economic returns,a series of field experiments were carried out in 2018–2020 in dalian City,Liaoning Province,*** were 4 different treatments in the experiments:no N fertilizer input (control,CK);application of common urea at 210 kg ha^(-1)(U),the ideal fertilization management level for the study site;application of polyurethane-coated urea at the same N input rate as U (PCU);and application of PCU at a 20% reduction in N input rate (0.8PCU).Our findings showed that using CrU (i.e.,PCU and 0.8 PCU) may considerably increase maize N absorption,maintain maize yields,and increase N use efficiency (NUE) compared to *** grain yield showed considerable positive correlations with total N uptake in leaf in U and 0.8 PCU,but negative correlations with that in PCU,indicating that PCU caused excessive maize absorption while 0.8 PCU could achieve a better yield response to N ***,PCU was able to maintain N fertilizer in the soil profile 0–20 cm away from the fertilization point,and higher N_(min)content was observed in the 0–20 cm soil layer at various growth stages,particularly at the middle and late growing stages,optimizing the temporal and spatial distributions of N_(min).Additionally,compared to that in U,the apparent N loss rate in PCU was reduced by 36.2%,and applying CrU (PCU and 0.8 PCU) increased net profit by 8.5% to 15.2% with less labor and fertilization *** was co
