The widely used clustered regularly interspaced short palindromic repeats(CRISPR)/CRISPR-associated nuclease(Cas)system is thought to have evolved from IS200/IS605 *** proteins,encoded by one type of IS200/IS605 transposon,are considered to be the evolutionary ancestors of Cas12 nucleases,which have been engineered to function as RNA-guided DNA endonucleases for genome editing in bacteria and human *** nucleases,which are smaller than Cas nucleases,have been engineered for use in genome editing in animal systems,but the feasibility of this approach in plants remained ***,we.obtained stably transformed genome-edited mutants in rice(Oryza sativa)by adapting three recently identified TnpB genome editing vectors,encoding distinct TnpB nucleases(ISAam1,ISDra2,and ISYmu1),for use in plants,demonstrating that the hypercompact TnpB proteins can effectively edit plant ***2 and ISYmu1 precisely edited their target sequences,with no off-target mutations detected,showing that TnpB transposon nucleases are suitable for development into a new genome editing tool for *** modifications improving the genome-editing efficiency of the TnpB system will facilitate plant functional studies and breeding programs.

The highly reversible insertion/extraction of large-radius K^+into electrode materials remains a tough goal,especially for con version-type ***,we.design a current collector-integrated electrode(N-CoSe/CoSe_(2)-C@Cu) as an advanced anode for potassium-ion battery(PIBs).The conductive CoSe/CoSe_(2) heterojunction with rich Se vacancy defects,conductive sp^2 N-doped carbon layer,and the elastic copper foil matrix can greatly accelerate the electron transfer and enhance the structural ***,the we.l-designed N-CoSe/CoSe_(2)-C@Cu current collector-integrated electrode displays enhanced potassium storage performance with regard to a high capacity(325.1 mAh·g^(-1) at 0.1 A·g^(-1) after 200cycles),an exceptional rate capability(223.5 mAh·g^(-1) at2000 mA·g^(-1)),and an extraordinary long-term cycle stability(a capacity fading of only 0.019% per cycle over1200 cycles at 2000 mA·g^(-1)).Impressively,ex situ scanning electron microscopy(SEM) characterizations prove that the elastic structure of copper foil is merged into the cleverly designed N-CoSe/CoSe_(2)-C@Cu heterostructure,which buffers the deformation of structure and volume and greatly promotes the cycle life during the potassium/depotassium process.

we.present the results of molecular dynamics simulations of steady shear betwe.n a pair of neutral polymer brushes,as we.l as a pair of charged polymer brushes in the strongly compressed *** results of the molecular dynamic simulations of neutral and polyelectrolyte brushes in implicit solvent including normal forces,shear forces,viscosities and friction coefficients as a function of separation betwe.n brushes,are presented in the *** comparison of the simulation results of neutral and charged brushes shows that the charged brushes is in the quasi-neutral regime,and the dependence of viscosity on the separation distance show the similar powe. law of neutral *** simulation results confirm that the implicit solvent simulations of polyelectrolyte brushes that ignore hydrodynamics interaction are in agreement with the scaling predictions qualitatively because of screening of hydrodynamic interaction and long-range electrostatic interactions on the correlation length *** of neutral and charged brushes show the lubrication properties that the friction coefficient decreases with the separation decreases at enough large ***,a maximum of friction coefficients is observed for polyelectrolyte brushes,which is in contrast to the neutral brushes with monotonical dependence.

Objective This study aimed to evaluate the associations of serum folate and/or vitamin B12 concentrations with obesity among Chinese children and *** A cross-sectional study was conducted including 3,079 Chinese children and adolescents,aged 6 to 17 years,from Jiangsu,*** indices,such as,children's body mass index(BMI),BMI z-scores,waist circumference,and waist-to-height ratio we.e *** linear regression and generalized additive models we.e used to investigate the associations of serum folate and vitamin B12 levels with anthropometric indices and odds of *** we.observed that serum vitamin B12 concentrations we.e inversely associated with all anthropometric indices and the odds of general obesity[odds ratio(OR)=0.68;95%confidence interval(CI)=0.59,0.78]and abdominal obesity(OR=0.68;95%CI=0.60,0.77).When compared to participants with both serum vitamin levels in the two middle quartiles,those with both serum folate and vitamin B12 levels in the highest quartile we.e less prone to general(OR=0.31,95%CI=0.19,0.50)or abdominal obesity(OR=0.46,95%CI=0.31,0.67).Conversely,participants with vitamin B12 levels in the lowe.t quartile alongside folate levels in the highest quartile had higher odds of abdominal obesity(OR=2.06,95%CI=1.09,3.91).Conclusion Higher serum vitamin B12 concentrations,but not serum folate concentrations,we.e associated with lowe. odds of childhood *** and adolescents with high levels of vitamin B12 and folate we.e less likely to be obese.
