Spin logic devices based on negative differential resistance -enhanced anomalous Hall effect

Owing to rapid developments in spintronics,spin-based logic devices have emerged as promising tools for next-generation computing *** paper provides a comprehensive review of recent advancements in spin logic devices,particularly focusing on fundamental device concepts rooted in nanomagnets,magnetoresistive random access memory,spin–orbit torques,electric-field modu-lation,and magnetic domain *** operation principles of these devices are comprehensively analyzed,and recent progress in spin logic devices based on negative differential resistance-enhanced anomalous Hall effect is *** devices exhibit reconfigur-able logic capabilities and integrate nonvolatile data storage and computing *** current-driven spin logic devices,negative differential resistance elements are employed to nonlinearly enhance anomalous Hall effect signals from magnetic bits,enabling reconfig-urable Boolean logic ***,voltage-driven spin logic devices employ another type of negative differential resistance ele-ment to achieve logic functionalities with excellent cascading *** cascading several elementary logic gates,the logic circuit of a full adder can be obtained,and the potential of voltage-driven spin logic devices for implementing complex logic functions can be *** review contributes to the understanding of the evolving landscape of spin logic devices and underscores the promising pro-spects they offer for the future of emerging computing schemes.

The inland saltwater lakes harbor exceptional ***,two new species of solitary sessile peritrich ciliates were isolated from Qinghai Lake,the largest inland saltwater lake in *** morphology,ciliature,silverline system,and molecular phylogeny were investigated based on live observation,silver staining,and analysis of the small subunit ribosomal DNA(SSU rDNA).Vorticella paraglobosa *** characterized mainly by its obconical or elongate bell-shaped zooid,C-shaped macronucleus,single ventrally located contractile vacuole,two-rowed infundibular polykinety 3,and 28-38 silverlines between peristome and aboral tro-chal band and 10-15 between aboral trochal band and *** cotyliformis *** from its congeners mainly by its double-layered peristomial lip,cup-shaped zooid,J-shaped macronucleus,single ventrally positioned contractile vacuole,three-rowed infundibular polykinety 3,and 70-85 silverlines between peristome and aboral trochal band and 21-25 between aboral trochal band and *** SSU rDNA sequences of the two new species were obtained,and the subsequent molecular phylogenetic analysis supported their taxonomic classification.

Optical vortices with tunable polarization states and topological charges are widely investigated in various physical systems and practical devices for high-capacity optical ***,this kind of structured light beams is usually generated using several polarization and spatial phase devices,which decreases the configurability of optical ***,we have designed a kind of polarized optical multi-vortices generator based on the Stokes-Mueller formalism and cross-phase *** our scheme,multi-channel generation of polarized vortex beams can be realized through a single optical element and a single-input Gaussian *** polarization states and orbital angular momentum of the generated light beams are all-optically ***,the proposed polarized optical multi-vortices generator has also been demonstrated experimentally through one-step holographic recording in an azobenzene liquid-crystalline film and the experimental results agree with theoretical analysis.

A novel Eu^(2+)-Eu^(3+)co-activated ratiometric thermo-sensitive phosphor was developed and synthesized by solid-state *** valence state of Eu,photoluminescence and thermo-sensitive performance of the phosphor prepared either in ambient air or carbothermally were investigated and *** phosphor shows high sensitivity(Sa=0.0173 K^(-1),S_(r)=0.461%/K)and superior signal discriminability(Δν∼10380 cm^(−1)).The thermo-sensitive performance is subject to the dual effects of different thermo-responses by Eu^(2+)versus Eu^(3+)combined with energy transfer from Eu^(2+)to Eu^(3+),so that the sensitivity of the phosphor in the temperature range presents a non-monotonic *** development of the BaAl_(2)B_(2)O_(7):Eu^(2+),Eu^(3+)phosphor is not only expected to be relevant for application in the field of temperature sensing,but also of reference significance for improving the sensitivity by means of energy transfer between co-activator ions over a wider temperature range of Eu^(2+)-Eu^(3+)co-activated ratiometric thermo-sensitive phosphors.

There are more challenges for alkaline hydrogen evolution reaction(HER)via simultaneously expediting the electron-coupled water dissociation process(Volmer step)and the following electrochemical H_(2) desorption(Heyrovsky step).Hybrid amorphous electrocatalysts are highly desirable for efficient hydrogen evolution from water-alkali electrolyzers due to the bifunctionality for the different elementary steps of HER and optimal interactions with water molecules and the reactive hydrogen intermediates(Had).Herein,the synthesis of amorphous hybrid ultrathin(tungsten oxide/nickel hydroxide)hydrate(a-[WO_(3)/Ni(OH)_(2)]·0.2H_(2)O)nanosheets on nickel foam(NF)for efficient alkaline HER is *** structural and composition features of a-[WO_(3)/Ni(OH)_(2)]·0.2H_(2)O are characterized in *** resulting a-[WO_(3)/Ni(OH)_(2)]·0.2H_(2)O/NF electrocatalyst with the synergistic effect of both hybrid components for the HER elementary steps shows greatly improved the activity and durability for the HER with a low overpotential of-41 and-163 mV at-10 and-500 mA·cm^(-2),respectively,a Tafel slope as low as-72.9 mV·dec^(-1),and long-term stability of continuous electrolysis for at least 150 h accompanying by inappreciable overpotential change in 1 M *** the hybrid a-[WO_(3)/Ni(OH)_(2)]·0.2H_(2)O,Ni(OH)_(2) and WO_(3) moieties are separately responsible for accelerating dissociative adsorption of water and weakening Had adsorption strength,which is beneficial to the improvement of the alkaline HER activity.

Pre-combustion mercury removal via coal electrolysis was performed and investigated on a bench-scale coal electrolytic cell(CEC)systemically,and factorial design was used to determine the effect of different operating conditions(coal particle size,operating temperature,operating cell voltage,and flow rate of slurry)on the percentage of mercury removal,percentage of ash removal,and dry heating value *** results showed that the operating cell voltage,as well as the interaction between operating cell voltage and coal particle size,are significant factors in the percentage of mercury *** is no significant factor in the percentage of ash removal and the dry heating value change,but the coal could be purified while keeping the dry heating value almost constant after electrolysis.A co-product of hydrogen could be produced during coal electrolysis with 50%lower energy consumption compared with water ***,a mechanism for mercury removal in coal was *** facts indicate that coal electrolysis is a promising method for precombustion mercury removal.

Flexible electronics/spintronics attracts researchers’attention for their application potential abroad in wearable devices,healthcare,and other *** devices’performance(speed,energy consumption)is highly dependent on manipulating information bits(spin-orientation in flexible spintronics).In this work,we established an organic photovoltaic(OPV)/ZnO/Pt/Co/Pt heterostructure on flexible PET substrates with perpendicular magnetic anisotropy(PMA).Under sunlight illumination,the photoelectrons generated from the OPV layer transfer into the PMA heterostructure,then they reduce the PMA strength by enhancing the interfacial Rashba field *** coercive field(Hc)reduces from 800 Oe to 500 Oe at its maximum,and the magnetization can be switched up and down *** stability of sunlight control of magnetization reversal under various bending conditions is also tested for flexible spintronic ***,the voltage output of sunlight-driven PMA is achieved in our prototype device,exhibiting an excellent angular dependence and opening a door towards solar-driven flexible spintronics with much lower energy consumption.
