In the existing shearing processes for fabricating parts such as duplex gears, die roll is difficult to avoid. Accordingly, a method based on sheet-bulk metal forming for fabricating a duplex gear with extremely small die roll in one stroke is proposed in the current work. The process could be divided into three stages according to the forming features: upsetting and shearing stage, lateral extrusion stage, and local filling stage. The die roll appeared in the shearing stage, which could be reduced in the subsequent extrusion and local filling stages. To reveal the underground mechanism, material flows under two situations, as a key factor to influence the forming quality, were compared and investigated. The results revealed that by controlling material flow, one could avoid the defects and reduce the die roll.

Food consumption is necessary for human *** a global scale,the greenhouse gas(GHG)emission related to food consumption accounts for 19%–29%of the total GHG *** has the largest population in the world,which is experiencing a rapid *** the background of urbanization and the adjustment of the diet structure of Chinese residents,it is critical to mitigate the overall GHG emission caused by food *** study aims to employ a single-region input-output(SRIO)model and a multi-regional input-output(MRIO)model to measure GHG emission generated from food consumption in China and compare the contributions of different industrial sectors,uncovering the differences between urban and rural residents and among different provinces(autonomous regions/municipalities),as well as identifying the driving forces of GHG emission from food consumption at a national *** results indicate that the total GHG emission generated from food consumption in China tripled from 157 Mt CO_(2)e in 2002 to 452 Mt CO_(2)e in *** fastest growing GHG emission is from the consumption of other processed food and meat *** GHG emissions from both urban and rural residents increased,the gap between them is ***,processing and manufacture of food,manufacture of chemical and transportation,storage and post services sectors are key sectors inducing food consumption related GHG *** a regional perspective,the top five emission provinces(autonomous regions/municipalities)include Shandong,Hubei,Guangdong,Zhejiang,and *** on such results,policy recommendations are proposed to mitigate the overall GHG emission from food consumption.

Optimization of Generator Based on Gaussian Process Regression Model with Conditional Likelihood Lower Bound Search

The noise that comes from finite element simulation often causes the model to fall into the local optimal solution and over fitting during optimization of ***,this paper proposes a Gaussian Process Regression(GPR)model based on Conditional Likelihood Lower Bound Search(CLLBS)to optimize the design of the generator,which can filter the noise in the data and search for global optimization by combining the Conditional Likelihood Lower Bound Search *** the efficiency optimization of 15 kW Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor as an ***,this method uses the elementary effect analysis to choose the sensitive variables,combining the evolutionary algorithm to design the super Latin cube sampling plan;Then the generator-converter system is simulated by establishing a co-simulation platform to obtain data.A Gaussian process regression model combing the method of the conditional likelihood lower bound search is established,which combined the chi-square test to optimize the accuracy of the model ***,after the model reaches the accuracy,the Pareto frontier is obtained through the NSGA-II algorithm by considering the maximum output torque as a ***,the constrained optimization is transformed into an unconstrained optimizing problem by introducing maximum constrained improvement expectation(CEI)optimization method based on the re-interpolation model,which cross-validated the optimization results of the Gaussian process regression *** above method increase the efficiency of generator by 0.76%and 0.5%respectively;And this method can be used for rapid modeling and multi-objective optimization of generator systems.

The mechanism of an electrically controlled variable optical attenuator is investigated based on the varying energy coupling efficiency of a light beam into a guided wave resonance. Compared to the conventional attenuated totalinternal reflection devices based on the surface plasmon resonance, the driving voltage for this attenuator is greatly reduced because of the newly chosen working interior angle. This letter explains the principle of attenuator operation and presents experimental results obtained on a realization of the device.

Blends of poly（lactic acid）（PLA） and thermoplastic acetylated starch（ATPS） were prepared by means of the melt mixing method. The results show that PLA and ATPS were partially miscible, which was confirmed with the measurement of Tg by dynamic mechanical analysis（DMA） and differrential scanning calorimetry（DSC）. The mechanical and thermal properties of the blends were improved. With increasing the ATPS content, the elongation at break and impact strength were increased. The elongation at break increased from 5% of neat PLA to 25% of the blend PLA/ATPS40. It was found that the cold crystallization behavior of PLA changed evidently by addition of ATPS. The cold crystallization temperature（Tcc） of each of PLA/ATPS blends was found to shift to a lower temperature and the width of exothermic peak became narrow compared with that of neat PLA. The thermogravimetry analysis（TGA） results showed that the peak of derivative weight for ATPS moved to higher temperature with increasing PLA content in PLA/ATPS blends. It can be concluded that PLA could increase the thermal stability of ATPS. The rheological measurement reveals the melt elasticity and viscosity of the blends decreased with the increased concentration of ATPS, which was favorable to the processing properties of PLA.

Direct electrochemistry and electrocatalysis of horseradish peroxidase（HRP） were achieved by entrapping the enzyme between CaCO3 microspheres and gold nanoparticles through forming sandwich configuration （CaCO3-HRP-AuNPs）. Polyanion, poly（styrene sulfonate）（PSS）, was hybrid with CaCO3 microspheres to increase the surface negative charges for binding with HRP through electrostatic interaction. After the bioconjugate CaCO3 PSS-HRP was entrapped in chitosan based sol-gel（CS-GPTMS） film, HRP was encapsulated by in situ formation of an outer layer of AuNPs through electrochemical reduction of HAuCl4. The composite film containing AuNPs, CaCO3-PSS-HRP bioconjugates and CS-GPTMS can provide favorable microenvironment for HRP to perform direct electron transfer at glassy carbon electrode（GCE）. HRP retained its bioelectrocatalytic activity and lead to sensitive and fast amperometric response for the determination of H2O2. H2O2 could be detected in a very wide linear range from 5.0×10-6 mol/L to 7.1×10-2 mol/L. The sandwich configuration of CaCO3-biomolecules-AuNPs could serve as a versatile platform for enzyme immobilization and biosensing.
