The coupled soliton excitations in an alternating Heisenberg ferromagnetic chain with a small magnon band gap are considered. Based on a quasi-discrete multiple scale approach, a set of coupled mode equations is derived which describes the dynamics of strongly coupled acoustic upper cut-off and optical lower cut-off modes. Coupled magnetic band gap soliton solutions are explicitly provided and their frequency properties are discussed.

The M1/M2 phenotypic shift of microglia after spinal cord injury plays an important role in the regulation of neuroinflammation during the secondary injury phase of spinal cord *** of shifting microglia polarization from M1(neurotoxic and proinflammatory type)to M2(neuroprotective and anti-inflammatory type)after spinal cord injury appears to be *** possesses an anti-inflammatory biological ***,its roles and the underlying molecular mechanisms in spinal cord injury remain *** this study,we found that tryptanthrin inhibited microglia-derived inflammation by promoting polarization to the M2 phenotype in *** promoted M2 polarization through inactivating the cGAS/STING/NF-κB ***,we found that targeting the cGAS/STING/NF-κB pathway with tryptanthrin shifted microglia from the M1 to M2 phenotype after spinal cord injury,inhibited neuronal loss,and promoted tissue repair and functional recovery in a mouse model of spinal cord ***,using a conditional co-culture system,we found that microglia treated with tryptanthrin suppressed endoplasmic reticulum stress-related neuronal *** together,these results suggest that by targeting the cGAS/STING/NF-κB axis,tryptanthrin attenuates microglia-derived neuroinflammation and promotes functional recovery after spinal cord injury through shifting microglia polarization to the M2 phenotype.

Background MicroRNA-29b(miR-29b)has been suggested to possess pro-inflammatory activity,which can partially be explained by the repression of tumor necrosis factor alpha protein three antibody(TNFAIP3).Meanwhile,it also promotes thyroid cell proliferation via Smad signaling *** present study aimed to elucidate the role of miR-29b in Henoch Sch(o)nlein purpura nephritis(HSPN)and its underlying molecular mechanism in angiotensinⅡ(AngⅡ)-induced human glomerular mesangial cell(HGMC)*** We evaluated miR-29b expression in 35 HSPN renal tissues based on crescent formation,glomerular sclerosis,interstitial fibrosis,thrombosis formation and capillary loop ***,HGMCs were cultured,treated with AngⅡand then transfected with LV-hsa-miR-29b-1 to induce miR-29b overexpression or LV-hsa-miR-29b-3p-inhibition to inhibit miR-29b ***,we examined the effects of miR-29b on cell proliferation and release of inflammatory *** We observed that miR-29b expression was significantly higher in the crescent group than in the no crescent ***-29b overexpression induced the release of intercellular adhesion molecule-1,interleukin-1β(IL-1β),IL-6,IL-8,the increase of CyclinA2,CyclinD 1,and cell *** also could inhibit the expressions of TNFAIP3 and NF-kappa-B-repressing factor(NKRF).Correspondingly,miR-29b inhibition produced the opposite effects and increased the expression of TNFAIP3 and *** MiR-29b expression is altered in crescent formation of HSPN and accelerates AngⅡ-induced mesangial cell proliferation and release of inflammatory mediators.

The as-cast Ti_(48)Zr_(27)Cu_(6)Nb_(5)Be_(14)bulk metallic glass matrix composites(BMGMCs)were fabricated using a copper mold suction casting ***,the semi-solid BMGMC samples were obtained following an isothermal treatment(heating at 900°C for 10 min,then cooling with water).The microstructure and compression property were investigated by scanning electronic microscopy(SEM)and universal mechanical *** a result of the isothermal treatment,the crystal shapes change from fine,granular,and dendritic to spherical or vermicular,and the average crystal size of the as-cast and semi-solid samples is 2.2μm and 18.1μm,*** plasticity increases from 5.31%in the as-cast to 10.23%in the semi-solid samples,with an increase of 92.66%.The shear bands from different areas of the side surfaces of as-cast and semisolid compression fracture samples were *** characteristic changes of multiplicity,bend,branch and intersection of shear bands in different areas indicate that the deformation of as-cast and semi-solid samples is non-uniform during *** is found that poor plasticity of the as-cast samples or good plasticity of the semi-solid samples are reflected by characteristics of the shear *** semi-solid isothermal treatment improves the plasticity by forming large crystals which can block the expansion of shear bands and promote the multiplicity of shear bands.

Inverse calculations using data from 16 repeat hydrographic transects collected from April 2003 to June 2007 have yielded velocity structures and volume transports(VTs) of the Ryukyu Current in the region east of the northern Ryukyu *** inverse calculation results show that the Ryukyu Current is dominated by a subsurface velocity core with maximum velocities from 15.1 to 80.0 cm/s,whose positions vary between 110 and 600 dbar and 27.2°-28.2°N along the *** mean velocity exhibits a subsurface velocity core with a maximum value of 24.6 cm/s at 326 dbar depth,a VT of 14.0 Sv(1 Sv≡106 m3/s),a vertical dimension of 800 m,and a horizontal dimension of 60 *** seasonal mean velocities show that the Ryukyu Current is stronger in autumn than in other *** is suggested that this seasonal variation is coincident with the intensification of the anticyclonic eddy south of Shikoku,Japan.

ZnO（002） films with different thicknesses ranging from 7 to 300 nm were grown on sapphire（006） substrates via metal-organic chemical vapor deposition （MOCVD）. The two-dimensional（2D） planar layer and the three-dimensional（3D） island layer were studied by using of X-ray diffraction（XRD） rocking curves and atomic force microscopy （AFM）. The room temperature photoluminescence （PL） spectra show a blue shift of the peak positions of the uhraviolet（UV） emission with increasing film thickness. The blue shift is remarkably high（393-380 nm） when an increase in film thickness（7-15 nm） is accompanied by the change of structure from a 2D planar layer to a 3D island layer. The PL spectra at 77 K also indicate that there are different transition mechanisms in the film thickness from a 2D planar layer to a 3D island layer near the 2D layer region.

The paper investigates the escape probability for isotropic emitters near a Kerr black *** propose a new approach to obtain the escape probability in a general manner,going beyond previous case-by-case *** approach is based on studies of the black hole shadow with astrometric observable and can be applied to emitters with an arbitrary 4-velocities and locations,even to the emitters outside of the equatorial *** also consider representative examples illustrating how escape probabilities vary with distance,velocity,and inclination ***,this new approach provides an effective method for studying escape probabilities near Kerr black holes.
