In the K-means clustering algorithm, each data point is uniquely placed into one category. The clustering quality is heavily dependent on the initial cluster centroid. Different initializations can yield varied results; local adjustment cannot save the clustering result from poor local optima. If there is an anomaly in a cluster, it will seriously affect the cluster mean value. The K-means clustering algorithm is only suitable for clusters with convex shapes. We therefore propose a novel clustering algorithm CARDBK—＂centroid all rank distance（CARD）＂ which means that all centroids are sorted by distance value from one point and ＂BK＂ are the initials of ＂batch K-means＂—in which one point not only modifies a cluster centroid nearest to this point but also modifies multiple clusters centroids adjacent to this point, and the degree of influence of a point on a cluster centroid depends on the distance value between this point and the other nearer cluster centroids. Experimental results showed that our CARDBK algorithm outperformed other algorithms when tested on a number of different data sets based on the following performance indexes： entropy, purity, F1 value, Rand index and normalized mutual information（NMI）. Our algorithm manifested to be more stable, linearly scalable and faster.

Aiming at the importance of the analysis for public opinion on Internet, the authors propose a high-performance extraction method for public opinion. In this method, the space model for classification is adopted to describe the relationship between words and categories. The combined feature selection method is used to remove noisy words from the original feature space effectively. Then the category weight of words is calculated by the improved formula combining the frequency of words and distribution of words. Finally, the class weights of the not-categorized documents based on the category weight of words are obtained for realizing opinion extraction. Experiment results show that the method has comparatively high classification and good stability.

高速铁路深路堑段(大挖方区段)对农田水利系统的截断效果十分显著,如何经济合理的对农田水利系统进行恢复,既关系到高铁运行安全,也涉及基本农田的保护和利用。在充分调研的基础上,摒弃传统农田水利系统复旧技术方案,建设性地提出利用现有桥涵通道,沿山坡地形铺设承压式钢管,即采用管道式倒虹吸方式,通过现有桥涵通道沟通深路堑两侧的农田水利系统复旧方案,解决传统的泵方式复旧和竖井式倒虹吸存在的弊端和潜在的安全隐患,减少新增工程数量,节省工期。经过2年的试运行,有效解决了泥沙淤积、管道积水排放和冻裂等问题,经济效益显著,为类似工程提供了一种全新的解决方案和运行参考。

为解决沉管隧道沥青路面抗反射裂缝难度大和基面潮湿等问题,对不同类型沉管结构缝及施工缝的收缩和差异沉降情况进行分析,并研究影响隧道湿度的各项因素。通过现场试验和实验室试验相结合的方法,提出针对性的解决措施。试验结果表明:1)沉管接头采用无缝伸缩缝、变形缝采用App防水卷材+灌缝、施工缝采用聚酯玻纤布+灌缝,可有效防止隧道路面反射裂缝的产生;2)通过合理利用自然温度变化,并结合机械通风的组合方案,可有效降低隧道湿度,保证基面干燥,改善作业环境;3)通过对基面抛丸,并选择合理的沥青结构层,可有效提高沉管隧道沥青路面的防水性和耐久性。

Polymyxin B(PMB)has received widespread attention for its use as a last-line therapy against multidrug-resistant bacterial infection.However,the consequences of unintended PMB exposure on organisms in the surrounding environment remain inconclusive.Therefore,this study investigated the effects of soil PMB residue on the gut microbiota and transcriptome of earthworms(Metaphire guillelmi).The results indicated that the tested doses of PMB(0.01–100 mg/kg soil)did not significantly affect the richness and Shannon’s diversity index of the earthworm gut microbiota,but PMB altered its community structure and taxonomic composition.Moreover,PMB significantly affected Lysobacter,Aeromonas,and Sphingomonas in the soil microbiota,whereas Pseudomonas was significantly impacted the earthworm gut microbiota.Furthermore,active bacteria responded more significantly to PMB than the total microbial community.Bacterial genera such as Acinetobacter and Bacillus were highly correlated with differential expression of some genes,including up-regulated genes associated with folate biosynthesis,sulphur metabolism,and the IL-17 signalling pathway,and downregulated genes involved in vitamin digestion and absorption,salivary secretion,other types of O-glycan biosynthesis,and the NOD-like receptor signalling pathway.These results suggest that adaptation to PMB stress by earthworms involves changes in energy metabolism,their immune and digestive systems,as well as glycan biosynthesis.The study findings help elucidate the relationship between earthworms and their microbiota,while providing a reference for understanding the environmental risks of PMB.

An approach is developed to examine the mean and uncertainty of thermal conductivity of a heterogeneous multiparticle system,where the particle concentration or void fraction is treated as a truncated fractal distribution.The truncated fractal distribution is then integrated into the Maxwell model,which is equivalent to a cell model in which the multiparticle system is conceptualized as a spherical fluid cell that envelopes a solid particle.The developed mean thermal conductivity is compared with four experimental data sets of liquid-saturated media from the literature.The effect of fractal characteristics is quantified and discussed.Incorporating particle concentration or void fraction truncated fractal distribution can better capture scatters in the experimental results.The thermal conductivity and its standard deviation decrease with increasing fractal dimensions.When the void fraction is truncated fractal,the uncertainty increases mostly in the low mean void fraction range and drops more quickly with the increasing mean void fraction compared to the case where the particle concentration is truncated fractal.In a typical case of multiparticle system when the solid particles are more conductive than the fluid,the faster increase rate of standard deviation with the ratio of solid over fluid conductivities occurs when the mean void fraction is smaller.

Diabetes,mainly type 2 diabetes(T2D),is a major cause of blindness,kidney failure,heart attack,stroke,and lower limb amputation.Worldwide,the number of people with diabetes rose from 108 million in 1980 to 422 million in 2014 and further to 537 million in 2021,and the prevalence has been rising more rapidly in low-and middle-income countries according to a report by the World Health Organization1 and the latest data from the International Diabetes Federation.2 The positive role of physical activity(PA)and exercise as a prevention and treatment medicine for T2D has been well documented,and both the American College of Sports Medicine(ACSM)and the American Diabetes Association(ADA)have issued position statements on the effects of PA and exercise on diabetes.

Introduction:In China,the direct-to-consumer genetic testing(DTC-GT)industry has been undergoing exponential growth during the past few years.This study intends to assess characteristics of DTC-GT users in China,estimate the price elasticity of demand,quantify monetary values of DTC-GT features,and discuss its implications to the development of precision public health.Methods:A total of 629 participants with an average age of 28.8 years were collected from an online survey conducted in November 2021.A discrete choice experiment and a mixed logit modelling approach were used to elucidate consumer preferences to DTC-GT services and evaluate monetary values of certain features.Results:DTC-GT users were found to have a higher level of income on average.The price elasticity of DTC-GT services was estimated to be−0.72(95%CI−0.73 to−0.70).The willingness-to-pay for genetic testing features of physical traits,personality,and dietary recommendation were estimated to be 90,107,and 220 CNY,respectively.Discussion:The nature of big genomic data makes DTC-GT have the potential to aid in the advancement of precision public health through more precise disease prevention and control strategies.The study also notes the need for addressing potential drawbacks of DTCGT and protecting genetic privacy.
